Enlarge image

Question

Hello,
I'm using flash 8. I'm want to be able to click my small
images and have a larger image come up in a new window where I can
add text. Is there a way to do this??? If there is a way, could you
leave instructions or direct me to a place where I can get
instructions, such as, a book, tutorial, add-on, etc. Thank you!

You could load the image into movie clip or level using
loadMovie / loadMovieNum action.
Or you could open each image in new browser window using
getURL action. I really don't
know which one is more suitable for your project.
I would go with loading them in level or movie clip holder.
Let me explain, this should
be considerably easy solution. Open new flash file and import
your image. Place it in
top-left corner of the stage. To aling precisly you might
want to use the ALIGN tool.
CTRL K to open the align tool panel, select the image and
press these two icons:

Now you can place text below that image with whatever info
you like.
Save it as Image_01.fla and export to SWF. You get
Image_01.swf
Now you can use loadMovie("Image_01.swf", "holderMC"); or
loadMovieNum("Image_01.swf", 1);
to load that file.
If you load using loadMovieNum, it will position the file to
top left corner of your stage.
By loading in holderMC (movie clip) you can define the
position by placing the MC whenever
you want on stage. The loaded SWF follow the MC top top left
corner not the stage.
To unload (close) the movie, all you need is place a button
within the Image_01.fla/swf
file with action:
unloadMovie("holderMC");
or
unloadMovieNum(1);
Depend on what action you are going to use to load it.
