Enterprise Structure - country grouping

Hi experts,
i've a doubt on how & where to create the country grouping.
As the sap courses say that country grouping should be defined in a personal area uniquely to company code.
Can any one help sort this out with an example if possible.
Thanks in advance
Rgds
Saravana

Hai,
The country grouping is assigned to a personnel area along with the company code with the follwoing step.
SPRO  --> Enterprise Structure --> Assignment --> Human Resources Management  --> Assignment of Personnel Area to Company Code
Choose the position and give your personnel area, thereby assigning both the company code and the country grouping.
For example, go to the table V_T001 and create a company code and then go to the table T500P and create a personnel area and then take the above path to assgin the personnel area to the company code along with the country grouping.
Thanks and Regards,
Pragna Hari.

  • What is SAP sd enterprise structure

what is SAPD enterprise structure and what is intercompany process.Does in intercompany sales process  sales org from two different company codes are used or company codes should be teh same?

Enterprise Structure is the Organizational chart in the form of different Organizational units, belonging to different modules in SAP. For eg: Company, Company Code, Controlling Area belonging to FI-CO Module, Sales organization, Distribution Channel, Sales office, Sales Group, etc, belobing to SD module, Purchasing organization, purchasing group, etc belonging to MM module & so on ......  These are then integrated through relevant assignment.
    SD Enterprise Structure Configuration:
    1. Maintaining Sales Organization
Sales Organization is an organizational unit responsible for the sale of certain products or services.

    Hi Priya,
The Enterprise Structure represents the structure of a company according to personnel administrative, time management and payroll perspectives. The company structure describes elements of the company and there dependencies.
The 'Organizational Units' in SAP, are the elements or structures representing the business functions, and are used in reporting. for example, Client (across the various modules), Company Code (FI), Controlling area (CO), Plant (logistics), sales organization (SD), Purchasing organization (MM), Employee Group (HR) etc.

  • Mapping of enterprise structure

    Dear Experts,
Right now i am doing implementation project in aluminium metal plant. Now we are in the 2nd phase of the project. So i have to map the enterprise structure of the plant.
There are main 5 departments in the plant GAP,BAKE OVEN,RODDING,POTROOM,CASTING.Here all the departments finished products are interrelated, like GAP finished goods will go to BAKE OVEN. BAKE OVEN finished goods will go to RODDING.RODDING finihed goods will move to POTROOM.POTROOM molten metal will move to CASTHOUSE,and finally metal from CASTHOUSE will go to customers.
So here how can i map this scenario, like i have to create 5 plants for 5 departments or 5 sections?
    Regards,
    Prashantha

    Greetings Prashantha,
You need to approach this from a functional perspective. Define what is the Plant in SAP. A Plant is a location, which has an address, a language, time zone etc. and for this Plant the maintenance is planned as a whole on some level. Many configurations in PM are done on Plant level. Also, note that the Material Master data is maintained on Plant level.
So taking this all into account, consider whether those elements are different for the 5 Departments you mention? I would venture a guess "no". Your departments will have distinct Functional Location hierarchy branches, distinct Planner Groups, their own Work Centres, perhaps their own Storage Locations, but I assume they will have the same processes, the same Company Code, the same high-level Maintenance Planning Plant, the same Order Types. So it is probably reasonable to use Plant Sections, Planner Groups etc. to differentiate below the Plant level.
But of course, this is dependent on your business and how it is organised.

  • Problem with HRFORM for country grouping 40.

    Hello Everybody,
I have created HR Form ZSAP_PAYSLIP_IN for India (Country Grouping = 40 ) copied from standard HR form SAP_PAYSLIP (for Country Grouping 99). The DDIC structure /1PYXXFO/ZSAP_PAYSLIP_IN and the smartform ZPYXXFO_ZSAP_PAYSLIP_IN are generated succefully and both are activated. But while trying to generate the HR form I am getting the following error "Generated print program contains a syntax error". In the program /1PYXXFO/ZSAP_PAYSLIP_IN_PRNT its giving error in this line
    NODES:   PAYROLL     TYPE PAYIN_RESULT.
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Debasis

That's my guess, as it worked for me:
It doesn't compile, because there's a bug in the structure of the PNP logical database.
Payroll result structure specific to your country is not listed as a 'possible type' for LDB node 'Payroll'.
You can correct it easily in tracaction SE36. Choose PNP, tab: 'Structure'.
Double-click on 'PAYROLL'. Click on 'Possible types'.
    Add country-specific structure (PAYIN_RESULT).
    Tell me what happened
PS. Be aware that this is a modification to the system and you need a key for this object.

    2. Define Active Subtypes and Use Case
    3. Define Country-Specific Applications
    4. Created a Z service and then assigned this service to subarea.
I made use of US service and copied to z.
after the config when i log on to the portal and check the personal data or address links am getting the error:

Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the

The reason for the exception is:

An object reference must point to an object (an instance of a class)

  • Enterprise Structure  in SAP PP

Can anybody suggest me about suggested enterprise structure in PP. In other way what should be minimum organisational structure needed to run PP objectives. Is it same as MM or different?

    Hi Kumar
As far as PP in SAP R/3 is concerened.
We create only one enterprise structure that is MRP Area. This will be of three types, one is plant MRP area same as plant . another is storage location MRP area and other is Subcontract MRP area.
We use all other enterprise structure created by MM and FICO
but we have to maintain certain parameter for the structure created by MM and FICO.  Ex Plant parameter.
All others like MRP group,MRP controller, Schedule margin key etc., are not enterprise structures.

  • Enterprise Structure for SAP 6.0 for Holding Subsidiary Consolidation

    Dear All,
Please guide me on how the enterprise structure should be made for the following holding and subsidiary consolidation.
    Company A (Business Group)
    Company B (100% subsidiary of Company A)
    Company C (74% subsidiary of Company A)
    Company D (100% subsidiary of Company B)
    Company E (51% subsidiary of Company B)
    Company F ( 100% subsidiary of Company C)
Company G (50:50 JV Between Company F and some other company outside the group)
Company H (50:50 JV Between Company D and some other company outside the group)
All the above companies are separate legal entities and need separate financial statements for external reporting.Consolidated Financial sattements needs to be drawn not only for the group but also for each holding compony and JV as per the requirements of accounting standards.

You need to define each legal entity as a Compnay code.
You need to create all these as Companies also.
The detailed share holding pattern is important only at the time of consolidation and at the time of consolidating investments.

  • Basics of Enterprise Structure and Personal Structure

Enterprise Structure and Personal structures are key structures for any organizations while implementing SAP.  The enterprise structure is created by SAP FICO consultant and Personal Structure is created by a SAP HR Consultant for a Company.
    Enterprise Structure consists of :
    1. Company code
    2. Personal Area
    3. Personal Sub Area
    Personal Structure Consists of:
    1. Employee Group
    2. Employee Subgroup
5 Basic Steps in Creating Enterprise Structure to Personal Structure:
    Step 1:
Creation of Company Code, Personal Area and Personal Subarea
    Step 2:
Creation of Employee Group and Employee Subgroup
    Step 3
Assigning Personal Area to company code
    Step 4
Assigning of Employee Group to respective employee Subgroup
    Step 5
Creating a Number Range Interveal and Assigning the enterprise structure to personal structure in "NUMKR" Feature.
All Other Modules in SAP are dependent on these two structures so, we should be very sure and clear of creating this structures for a hassel free configuration.

  • Enterprise structure with reference to integration points

    Hi,
Can some one send me information on  Enterprise structure with reference to integration points in SAP-IS RETAIL plz.
Edited by: sayee on Feb 20, 2008 11:54 AM

    Hello Sayee
In the Sales and Distribution module of SAP, there are three different perspectives for an enterprise structure. These are:
    •     Market Oriented Organization structure
    •     Internal Organization Structure
    •     Shipping Related Organization Structure
    Market Oriented Organization Structure
Market oriented Organization structure in the Sales and Distribution module consists of sales organizations, distribution Channels and a reference division. A combination of sales organization and distribution channel forms a Distribution Chain.
    Internal Organisation Structure
Sales Office and Sales Group represent the internal Organization in SAP. The internal Organization structure is used for performance management of sales personnel.
Shipping Related Structure (*For Stock Transport Orders)
Independent Organizational entities, such as shipping points, are responsible for scheduling and processing deliveries to Stores from the Distribution Centre. A delivery is always carried out by one shipping point only. The shipping point depends on the following criteria:
    •     Plant/Site (Distribution Centre)
    •     Shipping Condition
    •     Loading Group

  • Overall Enterprise and MM enterprise structure ??

    hii experts
Can some body explain me about the overall enterprise structure and MM enterprise structure in SAP.
Explain me with some enterprise structure example in SAP.
Explanation without link will be appreciable.
    Thanks

    Hi,
SAP enterprise structure is organizational structure that represents an enterprise in SAP R/3 system. It consists of some organizational units which, for legal reasons or for other specific business-related reasons or purposes, are grouped together. Organizational units include legal company entities, sales offices, profit centers, etc. Organizational units handle specific business functions.
Organizational units may be assigned to a single module (such as a sales organization assigned to Sales and Distribution (SD) module, or to several modules (such as a plant assigned to Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) module).
SAP R/3 system can represent a complex enterprise structure. Its flexibility can integrate the structure of an enterprise by linking its organizational unit. Enterprise structure design is a fundamental process in a SAP implementation project. The design is mainly determined by the business scenarios performed in an enterprise. Once the design is determined, it will affect many things such as how to perform a transaction and generate reports on SAP system. Although itu2019s possible, it requires great effort to change the enterprise structure. So , we must ensure that the enterprise structure designed in the SAP implementation project can accommodate all business scenarios and enterpriseu2019s requirements for current and future situation.
A Client is the highest-level element of all organizational units in SAP R/3 system. The client can be an enterprise group with several subsidiaries. An SAP client has its own master data (Data which is used long-term in the R/3 System for several business processes such as customers, materials, and vendors master data). In SAP, a client is represented by a unique 3-digit number.
A Company Code is a unit included in the balance sheet of a legally-independent enterprise. Balance sheets and Profit and Loss statements, required by law, are created at company code level. The Company Code is the smallest organizational unit for which we can have an independent accounting department within external accounting, for example, a company within a corporate group (client). In SAP, a company code is represented by a unique 4-digit alpha-numeric for a specific client. It is the central organizational element of Financial Accounting. At least there is one company code in a client. We can set up several company codes in one client in order to manage various separate legal entities simultaneously, each with their own balanced set of financial books. Besides company code, in FICO module there is also another important organizational unit which is Controlling Area. The Controlling Area is the business unit where Cost Accounting is carried out. Usually there is a 1:1 relationship between the controlling area and the company code. For the purpose of company-wide cost accounting, one controlling area can handle cost accounting for several company codes in one enterprise.
A plant is the place of production or simply a collection of several locations of material stocks in close physical proximity. A plant is represented by a unique 4-digit alpha-numeric for a specific client. Plant is used in Material Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Plant Maintenance (PM) module. A plant is assigned to one company code.
A Storage Location is a storage area comprising warehouses in close proximity. A Storage Location is represented by a unique 4-digit alpha-numeric for a specific plant. Material stocks can be differentiated within one plant according to storage location (inventory management). Storage locations are always created for a plant.

Can someone please let me know what does the Enterprise structure of MM contains.
    Thanks

    Dear Raj,
    Here is your answer
    Organization of an Enterprise:
Organizational Levels: The structure of an enterprise
Client: A grouping or combination of legal, organizational, business and/or administrative units with a common purpose.
Company code: This level represents an independent accounting unit within a client. Each company code has its own balance sheet and its own profit and loss statement.
Plant: Operational unit within a company code..
Purchasing organization: An organizational unit responsible for procuring materials or services for one or more plants
Purchasing group: The purchasing organization is further subdivided into purchasing groups (buyer groups), purchasing group can also act for several purchasing organizations.
    Assignments:
plant must be assigned to one or more purchasing organizations.
a plant must always be assigned to a company code.
purchasing organization can (but need not) be assigned to a company code.
prerequisite for this is that the plant for which procurement is carried out is assigned to the purchasing organization
    Centralized/Distributed Purchasing
    •     Centralized purchasing, with just one purchasing organization
    •     Distributed purchasing, with a number of different purchasing organizations each responsible for different plants
    Reference Purchasing Organization
Depending on the way your system is set up, either a central purchasing department can exist side by side with, but separate from, local purchasing departments, or local purchasing departments can make use of contracts and conditions created by the central purchasing department.
A reference purchasing organization can negotiate a comprehensive contract that can be used by other purchasing organizations.
    If useful reward points,
