ENV Handle issue - Pointing to new CMS

Hi Experts,
Since the support for DB2 version 8 is ended, we need to upgrade our DB to 9.5 version. All our repositories and reporting DB's are in version 8 as of now. We are doing a POC by applying a SP5 to the BOXI R 2 and trying to use the DB2 9.5 version.When we point the BO server to this 9.5 version we are getting the below error in CCM
"Failed to retrieve the cluster name from the database. Reason unable to connect to the database using the provided connection string. Reason: Can't allocate ENV handle"
and the below error in event viewer
The root server reported an error Initialization Failure. (Reason: Unable to connect to the database using the provided connection string. Reason: Can't allocate ENV handle).
Any help in this regard is sincerely appreciable.

Opening another env handle while other operations are in progress

1. When I am performing some long operations on a container, I also open another env handle for the same environment in the different process. Then the opening of the second handle crashes the application. Am I allowed to do so, or just I misconfigured my environment?
This is my configuration code.

(1) what crash do you see? generally speaking Berkeley DB will "join" an existing environment and ignore your current configuration if an environment exists in the directory you specify.
(2) no, you can't do that and if the system doesn't return you an error you will see problems somewhere along the way.
One thing you MUST NOT do is to run recovery in more than one thread. I think that may be your problem. It looks like you are specifying runRecovery(true) in the new environment -- this will certainly crash (or lead to non-deterministic errors) a running application. Recovery may only be run by one thread at a time, with exclusive access to the environment.

It varies. The difference between 'warm' and 'hot'. As in warmer but I can touch it vs too hot to comfortably handle.
ANd it doesn't seem to be all new iPads. There does seem to be increased heat because of the different battery and the retina display as explained above. There also seems to be some of them - maybe a few from a singular batch/factory that seem to put out what has been termed excessive heat. I would think if it were a universal issue then there'd be something more aggressive being done.
You can always take it into your local apple store and have them look at it and document that you have a concern, but they may say it's just normal heat associated with the prettier display and new battery configuration.

Issue with the new COPA field added into the BBSEG Structure

main issue is suddenly new field called RKE_COPA_KOSTL has been added to the BBESG Structure..
Because of this RFBIBL00 Upload is not working. I heard that this new fields will come by generating Operating Concerns by Transaction KEA0.I found an operating concern which was created as a test in developemt system..
But I am not sure how to delete that operating concern.Even i am not sure if we delete the Operating Concern ..is it going to delete that field in BBESG Structure or not??

Issues with the New Cloud

Missing options in Media Encoder, Premiere, and After Effects.
Just got done with this chat with Richa.
It appears that there are some issues with your new version of several of your flagship programs. No way to create SMALL size video files for use on slower networks (yes, they still exist out there, I deal with them every day). And the video files have to have alpha channels so they can be overlayed on top of graphics. I am still using flash because it can do things that just cant be done with HTML 5, javascript, css. And it is compatible across almost all browsers. I don't really care what Apple says it is still a very viable program. And if you want to play it on an iOS platform all you need is a browser app to do so. (people have safari, firefox, internet explorer, google etc. so get over the fact that it doesn't work with safari on iOS for iPads and iPhones and download another browser).
But now Adobe has started pulling some real stupid mistakes on purpose or by accident. Not everyone using your production suite is working on the next blockbuster movie for Hollywood. We use these programs for other applications as well. And you have opted to leave some of those tools out of your latest release of flagship programs. What are you thinking!
We in the industry need to make video files that are small in size, that contain alpha channels, and will download over slow networks at a reasonable rate. I don't have any use for a Quicktime mov the size of the Titanic (1.2Gig) when I can compress it to a reasonable size. BUT I NEED THE ABILITY TO INCLUDE THE ALPHA CHANNEL.
And if you read in the chat session below, I would like to be able to do this without having two copies of After Effects loaded on my system. Or any of the other programs as I come across issues.
You have 2.3 million people paying you a monthly subscription. Put down the champagne and start really looking at these new versions of software for your omissions.
I will climb down off my soapbox now and hope, no pray these issues get taken care of very soon. I use your software to make a living. I am not just playing with it as a hobby. Time is money, especially when you can't deliver something to a client after you upgrade your software because you have this wonderful subscription thing that is supposed to make the world better.

Did you copy your actual iTunes content from your computer before reinstalling iTunes, or did you just copy your iTunes library which only contains the pointers to your songs / books locations ?
You might, depending upon your country and if they are still in your country's store, be able to redownload your music purchases and your ibooks via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage - you will need to delete the entries from your library (where you are getting the 'unable to locate' messages) before they will potentially show with the cloud icon against them in Purchased for redownloading.
Or copy them from your backup of your downloads/library and add them to your iTunes library via File > Add To Library

Syncing issues with the new iTunes..

I just downloaded the new iTunes (11.0.1.12) and am facing some sunc issues.
In my previous itunes, when i would download an app to my iPod over wifi and then connect it to my PC, iTunes would automatically sync and maintain a copy of the app in my PC. My iPod and the PC would be in sync.
But now after I've downloaded this latest iTunes, I downloaded an app to my iPod and when I tried to sync with the PC, the app no longer got copied to my PC. I've tried syncing many times. Its there on my iPod but never gets copied to the PC during sync. Why is is this happening?

There aren't any issues with the new iTunes. You need the most recent iTunes to sync your iPod

Yes, the volume on my iPhone 4s will max out without me touching any button or setting. When opening mail, for instance, the ringer icon will appear and the volume level goes to max volume - and I'm not touching the volume buttons. It seems to happen randomly, at least I can't identify a pattern, but thankfully it doesn't happen all the time, but at least once a day.
Anyone else seen this?

I have an Adesso case with bluetooth keyboard for my iPad 2. No affect on performance. Keybord easier to use compared to on-screen keyboard. Plus it has more keys compared to on-screen keyboard.

Issue when "AT NEW " or "AT END OF " is executed

Hi,
I face an issue, when "AT NEW <>" or "AT END OF <>" line gets executed: the loop structure which fetches record from internal table, gets reset every time when either of above two statements are executed. But, whenever loop is called and the structure gets assigned with value, it seems to be fine. Only when above two statements are executed, the problem is introduced. I checked it in debug mode. Not sure on how to solve it. please help.

Hi,
When the AT NEW or AT END command get executed in that time the structure which toy are using will make all the fields * other except the field on which you do the AT NEW or AT END.
Hence you need to pass that structure values to the another structure before the AT NEW and AT END and use that structure in the AT NEW and AT END so ypu will get all the values inside these functions.
loop at t_temp to lw_temp.
lw_temp1 = lw_temp.
AT NEW field name
Lw_temp =lw_temp1.
ENDAT.
ENDLOOP
