Environment help requested
OK I made it over the first hurdle... I usually shy away from the environment, but I am starting to get the hang of it. I am trying to send note on messages to a fader, result affecting meta event #51 "go to marker." This will allow me to dictate my song arrangement the way vision was designed back in the day, also it will allow me to do arrangments on the fly at a live show using just a MIDI controller
Anyway, I recently have been using a fader in just this way to transmit MIDI CC as sysex data to an old synth So I know this is the type of concept that can be achieved.
But...
it seems one fader only allows for one note on value, not a key range.
I can tell it to go to marker, but I can't seem to specify which marker...
also can someone explain the "value as" options as they pertain to this effort? They seem awfully broad and some don't make any sense whatsoever...
my brain can't quite concieve of how I could sequence note on messages in the same linear playback order as the song, because it would be jumping around. it seems more as if it requires a separate sequence playback..
Here's something I found on a recndom forum entry:
"Have you really explored the possibilities of TouchTracks?
You can assign different sequences to different keys, choose whether they loop to end or play once, or play while held etc etc. You can control whether each individual seq snaps to a division or not. You can even assign folders to keys. And many more parameters you can control.
If you want to control it with buttons, you can create note event buttons in the environment.
You need not even use music sequences, but have meta events [like 'go to marker number x' or whatever] To do this you need to make sure the sequence containing the meta event is muted, so it doesn't trigger when the spl passes it.
So, with the meta event sequence assigned to touch tracks, you can specify the event will be triggered on the next beat, or whatever."
how do you assign these go to marker events to respond to touch tracks?
how can you then sequence the touch track that contain go to marker meta events?

AT selection-screen on ON HELP-REQUEST
Hi
What is normally done in the Selection Screen event :
AT selection-screen on ON HELP-REQUEST.
Normally pressing F1 helps gives Documentation present in Data Element assoicated with the field. Exactly in what cases would we be needing to use this event.Hi,
That event is used for search.
at selection-screen on value-request for p_file.
call function 'F4_FILENAME'
exporting
field_name = 'p_file'
importing
file_name = p_file.
If you code in the same manner in the selection screen you will able to search and select a file from your work station, so that it will be uploaded in SAP.
I hope this will help you, if not plzzz be back.

If your problem is solved award points and close the thread. -
Hi
wat is importance of POH. what If there is no PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST ?
Thanks and regards
- Puneet Sharma. To display data element supplement documentation, you must code the following screen flow logic in the POH event:
PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST.
FIELD <f> [MODULE <mod>] WITH <num>.
After PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST, you can only use FIELD statements. If there is no PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST keyword in the flow logic of the screen, the data element documentation for the current field, or no help at all is displayed when the user chooses F1. Otherwise, the next FIELD statement containing the current field <f> is executed.
If there is screen-specific data element supplement documentation for the field <f>, you can display it by specifying its number <num>. The number <num> can be a literal or a variable. The variable must be declared and filled in the corresponding ABAP program.
You can fill the variables, for example, by calling the module <mod> before the help is displayed. However, the FIELD statement does not transport the contents of the screen field <f> to the ABAP program in the PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST event. -
What do I have to do to get Logic 7.1.1 to see External midi instruments ?
Ive a Traveler and have a Yamaha MU80 & Korg X5 DR .
Traveler sees Midi but externals are not ?
Everyone I ask says they only deal with it once , kind a set and forget..
can any pls help me ???
desparate snogersnog oogadus, "Environment Help" #4, 07:31am Oct 5, 2005 CDT
sometimes when I patch an intrument direct to sequencer imput in env page , the korg comes alive but the dialogue box says remove port or none or cancel all options kill the sounds .. Its got me flumoxed ..
And where, in the manual, or the getting started guide, did you read that you should do that ?
I suggest you discard whatever Autoload you have built, and start again.
Do the Setup Assistant again and it will create an Autoload which reflects the hardware you told it you have.
Don't touch anything in the 'clicks and ports' layer at all. At least not until you feel comfortable that you really understand what does what.
The reason you got that dialog, when you tried to cable from the Multi, is because the Multi Instrument is already assigned to a MIDI Out port.
Get the correct Multi Instruments for your hardware, and copy them to the MIDI Instruments layer of the Environment.
Assign each Multi Instrument to the only MIDI Out Port you have (the Traveller).
The manuals for both synths will describe how to set up MIDI Thru.
Create tracks for each instrument in the tracklist, according to which channels you set up as MIDI Thru channels.
That is all. -

Authorization issue - help request
Hi guys,
One of the consultants is having an authorization issue ( He is not abele to run a t-code)
I ask him to run a su53 report and i am not sure how to proceed with this.
Please help.
Here are the details from the SU53 report.

Please help me guys what need to be performed.
Regards,
Vamsi.Hi Vamsi,
SU53 shows us the last failed authorization for a user. However, it might not only be the failed authorization object failed.
Hence, "just to learn" , you can use transaction ST01 to enable and run a trace for particular users. Be sure to use in a test environment first, and with proper filters. (for a particular user only).
Then check-> which auth object is failing.
RC=4 means a object value is failing.
RC=12 means an object is missing!
Check, which tcode is calling that object and this tcode is present in which role. Then.........proceed.
You can check the SAP documentation on running traces on the help portal of SAP. I think you will find the answer yourself by troubleshooting more and may be massaging some test roles here and there!
Likewise, if you are new to security, I would encourage you to start by reading some books on SAP security. Authorizations made easy is a good book to start with.
Let me know if you have any questions
EOD for me :P . take care

[ISSUE FOUND] Help Request Stabilizing Google Earth 7.1
Good Morning Fellow Archers,
Arch is my main OS, I have a Windows 7 partition for Games (Skyrim).
I am x86_64, running the 32bit libs, NVidia GTX-660 platform, with the "ck" kernel option for my Piledriver CPU with the associated "ck" nvidia modules. The system works very nicely. And I couldn't be happier with Arch as a distribution!
I have started cycling in the last 7 months for health reasons, and in preparation for a disabled veterans Sea to Shining Sea ride in 2014 that I want to participate in (San Fran to Virginia Beach). I use Google Earth (G.E.) to map out various long-distance trails/paths locally to take as training runs with my riding partner.
I use Google Earth in my Windows 7 partition because I cannot get Google Earth 7.1 running stably under Arch. And I openly acknowledge that the "path" section of G.E. is glitchy in and of itself....platform independent. I am OK with that.
Yesterday, I followed some other threads and downloaded from the AUR. I installed the one package I needed, "ld-lsb", installed, and then did the usual "makepkg -s" for Google Earth. What it brought down was the x86_64 version of Google Earth, instead of the i386 version that I was expecting, mentioned on the AUR page.
There was no resultant ".xz" package from which to do a "pacman -U". But the layout was kind obvious where to put things so I manually moved things around as indicated. There was a launcher script that came with the tarball that set environment variables and performed some font stuff before actually launching G.E.
I launched G.E. using the included launching script from a cli, so I could observe what was going wrong. G.E. came right up, and the fonts did not look wierd as in previous releases. There are a lot of repetitive errors showing up in the cli, but G.E. at least runs.....until....You click on a photo or a place, add more than a few "nodes" to a "path". Instant crash, no signal traps, no nothing...it just vanishes into thin air. And it will not launch again until I restart my D.E. and/or "zap" the "X" server. I am assuming this is necessary to clear out some environment variables that are temporary in nature that the launcher script setup, although I do not know this for sure.
I have included the copy-n-paste error trail from the cli at the bottom of this post.
I have also attempted to install the Windows version under Wine to get around the issue, with no luck. The G.E. installer can't seem to find the internet conenction and dies. The wine-gecko app is installed, as I have one other Windows specific reference software package installed under Wine...that uses the network to update itself. It works just fine....telling me that my Wine install is OK.
I see that others using Arch seem to have G.E. running stably......
I am requesting assistance to get my G.E. installation stable as well. I have no idea where to start....
Some assistance please?
Sincerely and respectfully,
Dave.

Last edited by dcbdbis (2013-05-15 01:54:26)I did one more test......
I rebooted with the stock Arch kernel and stock modules for NVidia......The issue remains. The problem is not specific to the "ck" kernel series and their associated video modules.
One more tidbit...I am running pure systemd.......and 16Gb of ram that memtest86 "blesses". And I am not overclocked in any way. The AMD Piledriver (bulldozer Rev II) doesn't need it at all...and I don't like pushing things anyway. I use the "ck" kernels because I can get them compiled specifically for my CPU and I do notice significant responsiveness gains. A Thank You is in order to graysky for providing these kernels.
Dave.

ASA 5505 Speed Issue - Help Requested if possible
Hi All,
I am wondering if anybody here can shed some light on any potential configuration issues with the configuration below (Sanitized). Current State:
1. SIte to Site VPN is up and running perfectly.
2. Client to Site VPNs work through L2PT/IPSEC and through mobile devices such as IPhone.
3. The outside interface is at line speed - approximately 5-6MBits per second.
4. When performing a download of a service pack from microsoft - Bit rate on the inside interface is approximately 1/3rd of the outside interface (A lot of loss). Interface shows no CRC errors and no input errors.
5. The outside interface shows CRC errors and INPUT errors but due to the line speed being optimal (as the client experienced via their WAN router direct (with the ASA out of the mix), have not looked in to this further. I suspect the device it is directly attached to does not auto negotiate correctly even though the interface is set to 100Mb Full Duplex.
6. Outside interface MTU is set to 1492, purposely set this way due to PPPOE over head (Please correct me if I am wrong). (Approx 8 bytes)
7. Inside Interface MTU is set to 1500, no drops or loss detected on that interface so have left it as is.
8. All inspection has been disabled on the ASA as I thought that scans on the traffic could have impaired performance.
Current Environment Traffic Flow:
1. All hosts on the network have there DNS pointed to external IP addresses currently as the DNS server is out of the mix. This usually points to DNS servers in the US. If the hosts use this, the DNS queries are performed over the site-to-site VPN but the internet traffic is routed around the VPN as the traffic is a seperate established session. Split tunneling is enabled on the ASA to only trust the internal hosts from accessing the US hosts. Everything else uses the default route.
2. The version of software on this ASA is 8.2(1). I have checked and there does not seem to be any underlying issues that would cause this type of behaviour.
3. Memory is stable at roughly 190Mb out of 512Mb
4. CPU is constant at approximately 12%.
5. WAN and INSIDE switch are Fast Ethernet and the ASA interfaces are all Ethernet - Potential compatibility issue between standards? I'm aware they should be compatible - any body that has experienced any issues regarding this would be greatly apprecaited.
Current Issues:
1. Speed on the inside interface is approximately 1/3rd of the WAN/Outside interface - download speeds are sitting at approximately 250 - 300kb (should be sitting at approximately 700-800kb).
2. Noticed that when the DC is pointed to the USA Root Domain Controller (Across the tunnel) latency is approximately 400ms average. (Performed using host name).
3. I ping the IP address of the exact same server and the latency is still 400ms.
4. Changing the DCs DNS address to 8.8.8.8, I perform the same ping to the same servers. Still 400ms.
5. I ping google.co.nz and I still get 400ms (You would expect it to route out the default gateway but session is still active for that IP on the ASA).
6. I ping 74.x.x.x (The IP from the resolution from step 5) and I get the same result.
7. I flush dns, same issue for 5/6.
8. I clear xlate on the ASA and the same issue persists.
9. I close command line, repen it, and perform the test again - latency is now back to 40 - 50ms as we would expect for non-vpn traffic.
I am currently out of ideas and would like some advice on what I have actually missed.
Things I suspect that I may need to do:
1. Upgrade IOS to latest version (Other than that - I'm out of ideas).

: endHi all, this post can be officially closed. The issue had nothing to do with the ASA but required a firmware upgrade on the WAN router which boosted the throughput on the external interface on the ASA to 10Mbps and the inside throughput naturally corrected itself to what was expected.
Thanks to everybody who looked at this issue.

I know, another Time Machine help request
I get the Time Machine back up error. I recently purchased a Seagate GoFlex Desk external drive. Time Machine seemed to recognize it right away. The following morning I found the dreaded "Time Machine could not complete the backup. Unable to complete backup. An error occurred while creating the backup folder."
I have formatted the external drive per Pondini's step by step; MAC OS Extended (Journaled). No luck. Then I downloaded Time Machine Buddy Widget. I don't know how to copy the error messages in the pop-up. Apparently it is having an issue with a movie that was downloaded from Itunes. I proceeded to exclude it (band-aid). However, I will run Time Machine again and it will have a problem with another file. The error code is consistent; Error (-36)
Starting standard backup
Backing up to: /Volumes/TM Backups/Backups.backupsdb
Event store UUIDs don't match for volume
No pre-backup thinning needed 135.88 GB requested (including padding), 1.80 TB available
Your help will be greatly appreciated!kenfromlo wrote:

See #C10 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting (but see the next item first).

Did you select the GUID Partition Map Scheme? If not, reformat it that way.
Then I downloaded Time Machine Buddy Widget. I don't know how to copy the error messages in the pop-up.
Click in the message area, select Cmd+A (to select All), then Cmd+C to copy.
(Or, if you mean the TM failure message, a screen print is fine.)

WLC2106 + LAP1131AG configuration help request
Greetings Everyone.
One of my customers asked me to configure a WLC 2106 and 2 LAP 1131AG (lightweight) for corporate/guest Wifi.
Basicly they want to implement a good wifi connection for internal use and a guest one with different QoS. The two lans
should both have dhcp but they must bet kept segregated so that none from the Guest wifi can access corporate resources.
Since i've never configured a WLC from scrath i lightly supposed it would be quite straigh forward as routers and switches from Cisco.
Unfortunately i was totally wrong.
I've downloaded the "Cisco Wireless LAN ControllerConfiguration Guide" (Soft.Release 6.0 June 2009) and after i red it i made up this workflow
for the configurations:
1) Configure Controller: (via serial)
- Set Management Interface parameters (IP- SM - Def GW - Dhcp server IP)
- Set Ap-Manager Interface parameters
- Virtual Interface parameters
- Set Admin Credentials
- Dhcp Configuration (internal and/or external)
2) Ap registration on the controller
- Configure vlan with dhcp request redirection to the dhcp server
3) Configure Wlan following customer's requests.
- Configure Wlan Auth for Corporate/Guest Wifi
- Configure QoS for both Wlans
Unfortunately i'm experiencing issue while trying joining the AP to the WLC.
It appers that the IT guy of my customer tried to configure one of the Ap.
In that Ap's flash i find files referring to a "mesh" configuration like:
mesh_cfg.txt - mesh_port_cfg.txt
which are not present on the other Ap.
I've tried to register both the Ap using:
1) Internal DHCP
2) External DHCP (microsoft W2k8 R2)
3) External DHCP (non cisco router)
But as a matter of fact they got the ip from dhcp but they don't show up in the WLC GUI.
So, resuming my issues sounds like:
1) Can't make Ap join the WLC
2) There are configuratin file on one Ap that i can't clear
3) DHCP configuration is probably wrong.
Since i'm quite lost, i'm ready to learn from anyone who could spare some time helping me out.
Thank you in advance!
Regards
Alessio
P.S.
Ap version is the following:

After a long fight, the insights of Stephen and Scott and:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-13960 and
https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2003153
I finally managed to wipe the old configuration and to configure a LAP 1131 attached to one of the POE of the controller.
After having configured a Wlan and having set the correct DHCP redirection i'm able to connect and get an ip! (WHOA!)
I've had to set a manual ip address on the AP (let's call AP1 from now on) and to manually point it to the controller.
I was thinking about using this configuration at the customer's site getting ips from the internal DHCP and thus letting employees using the internal resources of the company.
With the same idea, i started to configure the second AP (AP2 from now on).
So i set up a dynamic interface, always on physical port 1 of the controller, gave it an ip address on another class.
Got into the antenna via console and set an ip accordingly.
I expected the controller and the antenna to communicate immediately as the AP1 did before BUT:
LWAPP_CLIENT_ERROR_DEBUG: spamHandleJoinTimer: Did not recieve the Join response
LWAPP_CLIENT_ERROR_DEBUG: No more AP manager IP addresses remain.
%SYS-5-RELOAD: Reload requested by LWAPP CLIENT. Reload Reason: DID NOT GET JOIN RESPONSE.
%LWAPP-5-CHANGED: LWAPP changed state to DOWNXmodem file system is available.
And keep reloading itself on, and on, and guess? Yes, on.
I'm sure i took a wrong step somewhere, could someone be so kind to enlighten me about it?
Thanks in advance!

Help Requested - Creating Solaris 10 x64 Virtual Machine on an ESX Server
Hi All,
I have been trying to create a Solaris 10 64 bit Virtual Machine on ESX and VMWare server Virtualization Platform.
One of the forum entries said - The installer doesn't really care. At every boot, the processor type will be determined and a 32-bit or a 64-bit kernel will be run (unless you override it)
I hence downloaded the iso from http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/get.jsp and I installed it. When I run uname -a command on the terminal, this is what is displayed -
SunOS unknown 5.10 Generic_127128-11 i86pc i386 i86pc
This indicates that the kernel is 32 bit right?
Please help me create the 64 bit VM.
Thanks in Advance,

Hello people,
consider the following scenario
work flow is getting triggered to the Line manager (chief) and so on to next agents
How can we make use of substitution in following scenarios
scenario1- planned leave by Line manager (I think this can be done using substitution in MSS)
Scenario 2- Unplanned leave by Line manager
scenario 3- position of Line manager is vacant
The workflow i am using is not a standard woprkflow.
The above scenarios are applicable in case of leave approval and trip request approval.
Urgent help appreciated.
ThxForgive if the terms are not excact - my system is not in English.
For scenario 1: Use substitution rule "receives my tasks" when setting up substitutions in the uWL
For scenario 2: All managers should have a substitution rule "is my substitute". Then the substitute can go into the substitution rule and take over the tasks. This can then be discontinued when manager is back
For scenario 3: Switch WFLOW VAPOS = X determines the behaviour when manager position is empty. . For some reason the switch is not there in standard - but we set it just for this scenario. The Workflow then checks up the hierachy and finds the next manager.

Help requested with White Balance
This may come as a surprise to many, but here I am requesting your help, instead of giving it.
I have filled out a feature request with the following content, already some time ago:
Would it not be nice to be able to extract the WB settings in K from the metadata and be able in post to change it to what you should have done during the shoot.
Say your WB is set to 5600 K, you can extract that from the metadata and with the White Balance effect you can enter a desired setting of say 6100 K. During the shoot you can do that with the Canon XF series, but if you have forgotten to use a warm card instead of the white balance card, this would be a great effect to have. Or in the situation where you simply want a shot to be slightly cooler or warmer, this would be a great feature.
Interface similar to the scale slider and fully keyframeable. The program monitor should reflect changes in color temperature immediately. Simple, easy to understand, like using a set of Warm Cards after the shoot.
Retrieval of the color temperatures should not be difficult. It is contained in the metadata:
It works both with AWB and manual for the XF series. If the camera does not record these data, the effect should be greyed out.
I request your help to get this feature implemented, since it is pretty simple to implement, is a great help to have when doing multicam work, to fine tune different cameras or to change the atmosphere of a shot. It is far easier than the color correction effects we already have.
If you agree with me, please fill out a similar feature request. The more requests made, the greater the chance of it being implemented.
See Feature Request FormHarm, I've seen instances of multi-cam shoot cameras that were identical models, using a clone of the settings which still resulted in differences in color. I've seen this blamed on the chips and the chip manufacturing process. I've also seen multicam footage from analog cameras that were supposedly balanced before shooting that resulted in shifts. And then, you have a situation where the atmospherics can alter the color, such as when one camera is close to the action, and the distant camera is shooting through fog or haze that has light shooting through it.
So again, while you can get in the ballpark with certain regimes, when it comes time to finish, you have to trust your eyes.
So, for my situation, it's not something that rises to the level of something I'd use enough to warrant a feature request.
My biggest issue today is that I'd love to see Pr offering bottom-up rendering, the way Avid MC offers it with its Render All option vs. Smart Rendering, which is top down. I don't like that I have to re-render entire sequences just because I made a little change to an upper layer clip. That, to me, warrants a concerted campaign or pitchfork mob.
But, I'll make a pact with you. If you'll request bottom up rendering, I'll request WB metadata support, OK? -
Semi-Simple Chart -- getting started help requested
I am trying to make a smiple chart with years, campuses, and number of students. The x axis would be years, the y axis the number of students, and for each campus, a line horizonally displaying the change across time of the number of students. I don't know before hand how many campuses I will have, and I have looked for a way to represent these three values using something with the flash chart, but with no luck. Can someone direct me to either an example or some documentation on how to approach this? I looked at some anychart documentation and even built an html header with a function in it that should build a chart (I created a region to call that function), but it doesn't show up. I was thinking that I could pass the function variables that could build my chart on the fly, but even that effort hasn't gone anywhere. Please help.
TIA,
DebJavaServer Faces requires an environment that supports at least Servlet 2.3 and JSP 1.2. It will not run on any server that supports Servlet 2.2 or earlier only. Any J2EE 1.3 or later app server meets these criteria, but it's not required (for JavaServer Faces) that you have a full J2EE server unless you need those facilities (such as EJBs) for your applications.
The Java Web Services Developer Pack includes Tomat 5, or you can use an existing Tomcat installation (must be 4.1 or 5.0). Tomcat is pretty easy to set up (especially if you just use it standalone, and not try to run it behind the Apache HTTPD server).
