Has anyone ever seen this error before???
Sun Mar 25 09:12:05 PST 2001:<I> <PosixSocketMux> EOF on socket type t3

We've created our own HTTP client simulation tool to run multiple virtual users against Weblogic, but we're seeing lots of errors when we ramp up the number of virtual users. So I'm just trying to figure out if it's something about the way we're handling the sockets in the simulator, or some type of configuration on Weblogic. These are the types of messages I see in the log:

You'd better ask it in the database forum.

store.connect("mail.myDomain.com", "myUser", "myPassword");
Folder inbox = store.getFolder("INBOX");
inbox.open(Folder.READ_ONLY);
}It connects to the store okay. The exception is thrown at the the line with store.getFolder("INBOX"). I've checked our firewall settings and email server settings (dovecot/postfix) and all seems well.
Anyone have a clue what this might be?Thanks for your quick reply.

No EOF when socket closed by mobile phone
Hi,
i have a mobile phone connected with TCP/IP to my internet server using GPRS.
When i close the server the mobile phone gets an IOException which is what i expect.
When i close the mobile application in the emulator i get an EOF on the server side socket - OK.
But:
When i close the mobile application on a real mobile phone, the server socket does NOT show any EOF - the connection remains from the point of view of the server.
How can this be?
Thanks

I was thinking of gettting the MSI P55-GD80 motherboard for my next build. However, I cam across this article today:
http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=3661
It notes damage to the 1156 socket. Granted, this seems to be only on extreme overclocks. However, the pin contact issue is what concerns me. Maybe these are fine now with light overclocking, but, will this be an issue down the road? This only seems to affect the foxconn sockets. There is some mention that the GD80 may use a Lotes socket.
Could anyone from MSI comment on this? Do all P55-GD80 motherboards use a Lotes Socket?Read this: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=131513.0

EOF on t3 socket....
I've seen this behavior several times.....
I have three weblogic servers in a cluster (Solaris 2.6, WL 4.5.1 sp7). Now
and then I need to restart the servers, one at a time.... It usually works
just fine, but somtimes after starting one server, it'll have trouble
connecting to one of the other servers.... It'll say
Wed Mar 08 17:52:28 EST 2000:<I> <RJVM> Creating connection to
server2/12.12.12.12
t3:7001 http:7001 t3s:7002 https:7002 -6880698886863498434
and the other server will say
Wed Mar 08 17:54:13 EST 2000:<I> <PosixSocketMux> EOF on socket type t3
and then server1 will say
Wed Mar 08 17:52:28 EST 2000:<I> <RJVM> Closing connection to
server2/12.12.12.12
t3:7001 http:7001 t3s:7002 https:7002 -6880698886863498434
and so on, repeatedly.... Sometimes I need to restart the server a few times
for that to stop happening...
Any ideas as to why this would happen?
Thanks!

Long Email!
Is there any way to increase the speed of the heartbeat between the primary
and secondary application servers in a cluster?
OS: Solaris 2.6
Weblogic 4.51
Java 1.2.1
IIS Web Server using ISAPI plugin.
Objective:
Replicate session object.
Scenario:
I start 3 weblogic application servers which all join a cluster, they
are not using a shared
filesystem, and its not even an option. They all join successfully and
they recognize each other,
which is good up to this point. I've created 2 test jsp's,
"valueStore.jsp"
places a value in a session using session.putValue('Value', id),
and the other jsp "valueGet.jsp" does a simple
session.getValue('Value').
At this point all of the appservers have joined the cluster and everyone
appears
to be happy. Using a web browser, I type the URL to the proxy server
which
has all the necessary settings in the "iisproxy.ini" so that a request
gets forwarded
on to the cluster. The "valueStore.jsp" gets compiled and everything
looks fine, I run
the "valueGet.jsp" and the value is successfully retrieved, life is
great at this point.
Now I run the "valueStore.jsp", shutdown the appserver which is handling
the request,
and run "valueGet.jsp", an exception occurs on the secondary app server,
"ServletRequestImpl: Exception creating new session"
"java.lang.IllegalStateException:Page needs a session a but is none
available".
I hit refresh a couple of times, same error!
A couple of seconds later I see a message in the secondary appserver
which says
<I> <PosixSocketMux> EOF on socket type t3
<I> <RJVM> Closing connection to 111.222.333.444/111.222.333.444 t3:9051
http:9051 t3s:8052 https:8052 -212134342342
<I> <RepMan>
Removing -212134342342S111.222.333.4444:[9051,9051,8052,8052,-1] from the
cluster
I hit the refresh button and the valueGet.jsp works fine, and the
correct value is getting
retrieved.
My guess at this point is that the proxyserver is aware that one server
is down so
it sends the request to the secondary server. However the secondary
server
does not know the primary server is down so it attempts to replicate the
session
object over, its unsuccessful so it fails. When it finally does realize
the primary server is
down, it works fine. Now, how do I increase the heartbeat between the 2
appservers,
or is that the incorrect way of proceeding? Also, considering that I
will not be able
to use a shared filesystem, would I run into any problems?
weblogic.properties file in the mycluster directory.
weblogic.httpd.clustering.enable=true
weblogic.httpd.session.persistence=true
weblogic.httpd.session.persistentStoreType=replicated
weblogic.debug.replication=2
Currently it is not a tunable property. Could you send the log files with time
stamps around that time period when you brought down a server.
Which version of service pack are you using. Typically it doesn't matter if you
use shared file system or not. But I would like to take a look at the log files
first.
Thanks

Exception from httpclusterservlet - please help
Hi,
We are getting the following exception under one scenario. We are using jsps
on wls 451 sp9 on Solaris 2.7. This happens with jdk1.2.2 but goes away with
jdk 1.1.7. We are desperate to use jdk 122 for performance reasons. Please
help. BTW how safe it is to use 451 with jdk 122 ? We tried using 51 but
had to fall back to 451 because 51 is simply not robust enough to support
our application.
Here is what we see in the log file. Why would this happen in
