EOIO - RFC Channel

Hi Guru's,
Is EOIO possible for RFC Receiver? Any alternatives?
regards

Even though it is possible to do EOIO with RFC there are some constraints with Transactional Data. Refer below for more
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/33/c6e63b60c25767e10000000a11402f/content.htm
You can also do EOIO with ABAP Proxies, which I also recommend, following info about that

  • Getting the following error in receiver RFC channel

    Hi Folks,
Iam having two RFC channels one as SENDER and other as RECEIVER.Ensuring that all the required data is perfectly given while creating these two channels...the SENDER RFC channel status is green in channel monitoring and RECEIVER RFC channel is red!
Iam gettiing follwing error against RECEIVER RFC channel -
    <b>"Receiver channel 'Receiver_RFC' for party '', service 'BXT_100_IS'
Error can not instantiate RfcPool caused by:
com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.RfcAdapterException: error initializing RfcClientPool:com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.core.repository.RfcRepositoryException: can not connect to destination system due to: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: Name or password is incorrect. Please re-enter"</b>
Even iam pretty sure about the user and pwd used in RECEIVER RFC channel...
and also i noticed "perform notification" status is failed in cache notification against my user id...
Can anyone help me in resolving this issue..
    Thanks in advance..
    Regards,
    Ram.

    Hi Ram,
Please change your password to UPPERCASE and try.
I have came across few instances where SAP converts passwords to uppercase while storing and so they dont match.
    Hope this helps.

  • Regarding RFC Channel

    hi ,
to all the experts of XI .
i need a suggestion on using the RFC channel .
is is feasible to use single RFC channel for 10 Different Scenarios ...
i tried doing that but then at any point in time for any particular scenario my RFC channel starts giving me error ............
so i need u people  suggestion on whether to go for different RFC channel in every scenario or use the same one  .
    With Regards
    Bhawarlal Choudhary

    Hi,
I think you can use same communication channel for more n more scenarios.
Currently, we are following same approach in our project. till now we didn't got any kind of errors for the same.
We are re-use our Idoc( receiver) and RFC( sender/ receiver) channels.
So, you can re use them.
    Cheers.,

  • RFC Sender Channel

    Hi Experts,
I am dealing with RFC channel(sender). How can we incorporate Qos in RFC??
It's taking BE by default. But how to make it EO and EOIO?
    Please suggest

    For EO, see this
    /people/swaroopa.vishwanath/blog/2006/12/28/send-rfc-to-sap-xi-150-asynchronous
EOIO is not supported for standard RFC sender. An adapter module may help. It would be better to achieve EOIO behavior using ABAP Proxy.

  • Sender RFC comm channel    -   program ID

    Hi all,
    Short question:
I have RFC to FTP scenario.
Sender RFC channel needs a program ID.
I created a TCP/IP RFC Destination in  <u>source SAP system</u> and specified in there the program ID i will use. However, when i try to test this connection, it throws folllowing error:

  • Regarding RFC Sender Communication Channel

    Hi All,
I am working on RFC sender channel, need some important information.
1). Can i use single RFC Sender Channel in Multiple Sender Agreements.
2). Can i use Program ID in Multiple Sender RFC Channels. I am having one RFC to File interface and another  RFC to JDBC interface.
Do i need to create 2 sender channels and 2 RFC destinations with 2 Program Ids????.
    Please give me clarifications.
    Regards,
    Balu

If i will use single sender RFC channel and Single Program ID for my all sender agreements, how that Single RFC channel
    will identify the information like
In our sender agreement we configure not only the channel but also the Sender Interface (in your case RFC)......this is the factor which defines what to accept......in broader term we use the same concept of channel re-use in other cases also and the same work fine because of this Sender Interface.
    I found Q28 interesting: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/730870
In first read it may sound confusing...but after some more rreads you will know what the answer means in the SAP note.

  • Random error IN RFC sender channel

    Hi all,
Please note that in two different scenarios Same busness system is used but different Sender RFC channels and different Functional modules. In spite of this a random error is occuring. At times scenario works fine and some times it gives error.
"Wrong Sender Agreement:The Sender agreement doe
    ot have channel Func_sender_cc"
    No error report in SXMP_MONI.
    Any clue please.
    Regards
    venkat

    Hi,
Now it is clear very much there is no need of registaring programID specifically any where. Any programID first mentioned in Comunication channel and actived and then defined rfc destination using SM59 with same programID gives successfull test result.
Also for different RFC senders Different ProgramID shall be used to avoid the type errors faced by me.
    Hope this helps all
    cheers

    Hi,
This happens if the RFC connection pool is not instantiated or may be cache failed to auto-refresh....And manual restart of RFC channel resolves it.
Refer page 8 in the RFC troubleshooting guide.

  • Alert Management for RFC Communication Channel

    Hi All,
I want to send notification to user using Alert Management in case of System Error in RFC Adapter.
I tried with defining rule in RWB with * . But still I am not able to find notification in Inbox or Mail Inbox.
    Thanks.

Infact it is working fine for JDBC CC.
But in case of RFC Receiver CC it is niether apperas in Alert Inbox nor in Mail Inbox.
Then there needs no more setting to be done. Are you sure that an error has been reported by the RFC channel (red symbol) and there is no restriction in Alert Configuration....like the interface name/ adapter type etc.

  • RFC , IDoc , XI and JDBC receiver communication channel--- Good Design

    Hi Experts,
We have developed around 60+ interfaces on PI7.1 EHP1, in that 20 interfaces sending data to Data Base using JDBC receiver communication channel, 15 interfaces ABAP inbound proxy using XI adapter,10 Scenarios using IDoc receiver channel and 15 scenarios using RFC receiver channel.
But I have created only one IDoc, XI , JDBC and RFC channel.
Is it right idea/design or do I need to create more channels to handle multiple request.
Please share your thoughts on this.
    Regards,
    JAM

    Hi,
For XI,RFC and Idoc when it's pointing to one SAP system you don't need any further comm channels.
For JDBC , if you are pointing to only one database you can use the same channel, if the target/databse changes you need more comm channels.
Your Design is as per the standards.

  • Schedule Receiver RFC communication channel to call R3 RFC-FM.

    Hi,
I have requirement that I need to schedule/trigger from PI to RFC call R3 function module. Wonder if anyone here has done similar thing before? I tried to use ATP (Availability time planning) in RWB. But this seem does not success for me as there is no response and error message for this.
    Below is my configuration detail:
    Configured:
    1. Receiver communication channel - RFC
    2. Receiver agreement with the RFC message type assigned.
    3. Scheduled receiver RFC communication channel via ATP daily
*(It is possible to make scheduling job in R/3 but we are not considering this way)
Please let me know if anyone has done this before or any other suggestion to do the scheduling from PI.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    SP

    Hi SP,
As you mentioned, ATP would allow adapter to be open and in start state. Adapter's RFC, SOAP, JMS would need some other application to trigger the message processing because these are not like pooling adapter's File, JDBC and Mail. RFC adapter channel always listening to the RFC port and FM execution. Once FM from R/3 executed then the RFC adapter would trigger it's message processing.
For Sender RFC channel: In order to trigger the RFC adapter execution at particular time then you should write a simple ABAP code which would act a batch application and which does the triggering the FM and Sender RFC channel.
For Receiver Channel: For Receiver RFC channel it's bit trichy because here you have force Receiver RFC adapter to connect backend the execute or initialize the variables without having any XI message triggered from Sender PI channel.
    I have 2 ideas:
    1. A little difficult approach, similar to the ABAPbatch code, you need to write a java adapter module which can trigger RFC receiver channel to connect and do an initialisation at FM at regular interval.
    2. Simple approch configure a File-> 2-> RFC receiver scenario, configure File sender adapter to pick a dummy file at regular interval and RFC receiver channel does the rest.
Please let me know still you have any doubts,
    Thanks,
    RK

  • EOIO cluster lock in JMS sender channel

    Hi All,
Our production environment is using cluster.
I have 2  sender JMS channel where EOIO feature has been used.
Today while monitoring we found one of the cluster node is showing below error
EOIO cluster lock:com.sap.aii.adapter.jms.eoio has already been acquired for EOIO channel by another cluster node. Therefore channel has been made inactive. Underlying lock manager reported message(if any) as: Cannot lock [20u2026u2026u2026u2026ip address, com.sap.aii.adapter.jms.eoio,c8u2026(channel ID),E]; it is in use by another owner. The lock collision occurred with user.
We have asked basis to remove the lock and they said that can be removed in NWA system lock.
But before removing the lock I wanted to understand the following
1)Why this lock happened, since it is EOIO? ( this issue is not there in other EO communication channels)
2)Is there any side effect if we delete the lock?
    Appreciate your fast response .

    Hi Michal,
The warning of EOIO cluster lock is still  there.
    we have 2 clusters, c1 and c2.
in NWA i can see the lock name *($com.sap.aii.adapter.jms.eoio)* is locked by c1 (2 locks (i.e.2 lock argumnets)) and c2           (1 lock).
i can understand that , to ensure the EOIO message proccessing the AF locks the queue , but it should theoritically unlock once the message processing completes. But this is not happening in my case.
Should i try removing one lock? or this is bug.
