HI!
Satish!
My scenario is HTTP-XI-RFC. Why do you think that this time the gateway is not in use? Can you write down your reasoning.
thanks
Bhavesh!
Thanks for the idea. I had made it before, but nothing happened.
Despite of it, since then I tried to active it more than one. After any activation, the error was differed from the previous one. but some cases, there was no error too. I think my XI server is a bit sick.
And the results of the chanel status in the RWB was:

  • All Communications Channels go to red status.

    Hello Folks,
We are on PI .0 SP 19.
I see a repeated problem in our system. All our communications channels go to red status every two weeks. During this time there is a disruption in our services....
I noticed that many of the service nodes goes to red....
The systems seems to come up only when all service nodes are restarted or the entire Java service is restarted...this seems to happen every 2 weeks...
I am not sure what is causing all our channels to go into error status at once. Would appreciate it someone advices me on how to investigate this problem furter...
Has anyone faced similar problems before??
    Regards
    Arvind

    Mine is only an idea...
However, i don't know so much about java memory space... but for tablespace, you can look this document:

  • Communication Channel Status Is Shwoing RedLed(Error)

    Hi,
I used File Adapter in my  communication channels  that is FTP ... scenario is working fine.. but in the RWB- Communication Channel Monitoring the  Communication cHannel is showing RedLed(ERROR Status)
The FTP server was running on UNIX.. that is Bourne Shell ... If the file is  there  in the source directory it was processing successfully.. even though the remaing all the time   it was throwing the following Error Mesage in the RWB-Communication Channel Monitoring..
Could not process file 'SIMS-10.xml: No such file or directory': com.sap.exception.standard.SAPIllegalArgumentException: The parameter "argument" has the value "ftp://10.25.10.6:21./SIMS-10.xml: No such file or directory", so it contains the character "ftp://10.25.10.6:21./SIMS-10*.xml: No such file or directory" which is not allowed
    Please Suggest me.
    Regards
    Jain

    Hi ,
We are polling a particular FTP site for files. If file is found communication channel is showing green led with no error message, but when file is not found it is showing red led with an error message in RWB .
    My concern :
    1. We applied the same approach in other scenarios also , but never came across this type of situation. In other cases if file is not found, communication channel is not showing red led and error message , so this is a metter of real concern to me.
    2. I believe that if communication channel is showing red led then definately alerts will get triggered for any error in adapter engine . correct me if wrong ...?
the only difference i found is the shell on which FTP site is configured...We are getting error in bourne shell but no errors in Korn shell ,,,Our XI box is on HP-UX but FTP site is on Solaris 2.8
Is it a bug In PI 7.0 ....?or Something is missing from FTP site ? or some configuration missing at configuration channel level.
    Regards

  • XI Communication Channel Status sent to email/ccms

    Hi,
We need to get an alert via email/sms whenever our XI Communication Channel Status got an errors (RED) or got inactive (YELLOW). Please shed some light on this. Thanks.
    Regards,
    Raquel

    Hi Raquel,
Let me try to clear out some things in this thread . First of all you do your alert configuration which you say you have already done. Thats good . Now you ask that you want only to monitor the communication channels and you want specific guide . Here is the specific guide.
If you have configured alerts you will know that when you create an alert rule you have the option to choose radio button where did the error occur it could be no restriction , integration engine or adapter engine. You need to choose adapter engine.
Now whenever the colour of the lights change to red. You will get your alerts.

  • Intermittent problems with a RFC receiver communication channel.

    Hello.
I want to know how to get the total channel history for a RFC receiver communication channel (in RWB only last 5 calls are available).
We use this communication channel in a java mapping to run a RFC of the abap engine of XI. Sometimes the rfc doesn't work and mapping throws a mapping transformation exception. Then, without a modification, we reprocess the message in SXMB_MONI and it is processed without errors. We think that it could be caused by a huge message volume.
How can I get the maximum number of rfc calls that the rfc communication channel can admit simultaneously. Which parameters have influence in these calls?
    Thank you very much.
    Alberto.

    1. Increase the maximum connections
    from help.sap.com
    Additional Parameters
    Parameter ~~~~ Entry
Maximum Connections ~~ Maximum possible number of initial connections required between adapter and sender system. This value is limited internally to a maximum of 50.

  • Mail to File Integration(Mail Sender Communication channel status RED)

    Hi all,
I am doing  Email to File Integration Scenario, XI is reading mails from an particular exchange server mail id & putting it in to a file. now all IR & ID configuration is done.
But in  RuntimeW Bench -> Adapter Monitreing The Sender Mail Communication  Channel is RED with error occured: exception caught during processing mail message; j<b>ava.io.IOException: invalid IMAP status response; not finding * STATUS, but 00KC NO The requested item could not be found
    </b>
We check the Exchange Server login Acess through TELNET ,as suggested from SAP Service marketplace
and login is successfull, with details  available of Inbox
but in TENET when we try to execute the<b> IMAP Status command error message comes
    " expected space not found"</b> .
Since XI is not able to read the inbox mail, so Sxmb_moni is blank.....
can any body suggest that this issus is related to that <b>IMAP Status</b>..........or some thing else..
    our URL is correct.
    Regards,
    Ashutosh

    the URL path was wrong...
                          it should end with   .......<b>exchange/Inbox/</b>
the sender channel was having error RED ,but it was showing green status intially because delay update .....

  • Communication Channel status successful but file Not Delivered.

    Hi All
I have a receiver communication channel which is showing status as SUCCESSFUL but the log says The message status was set to NDLV.  Due to which am unable to retrigger it even form Message Monitoring
Its set to FTP & is not received at that side.
Kindly put in your inputs on the possible solution for this issue.
    Regards
    Soumen!!!

I dont think it is held in queue.....you will get an error (the one which you got) and then the message will go into Error state.
When the channels are stopped and it receives a file it raises an error alert and is set to error state. Later when channel is started the file gets processed(You can try doing it.I did). Here it gave the error message but sets the channel to successful. Thats what is botehring me.
Looks like you are scheduling the receiver channel....why?
    Had some requirement...
    @ Balaji : Its successful

  • Communication channels do not appear in RWB

    Dear experts,
I am using PI 7.1, after creating some communication Channels for my scenarios, although they appear in the ABAP system (sxi_cache), they do not appear in the RWB.
And when i choose the menu Cache Status Overview in ID, it shows the error below:
"Unable to determine the name of the central Adapter Engine from the System Landscape Directory at this time. Notifications to the central Adapter Engine are therefore listed using the technical name of the Adapter Engine. This is usually structured as follows: af.<SAP System ID>.<Name of application server>"
Pls show me where i am wrong.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Regarding RFC Sender Communication Channel

    Hi All,
I am working on RFC sender channel, need some important information.
1). Can i use single RFC Sender Channel in Multiple Sender Agreements.
2). Can i use Program ID in Multiple Sender RFC Channels. I am having one RFC to File interface and another  RFC to JDBC interface.
Do i need to create 2 sender channels and 2 RFC destinations with 2 Program Ids????.
    Please give me clarifications.
    Regards,
    Balu

If i will use single sender RFC channel and Single Program ID for my all sender agreements, how that Single RFC channel
    will identify the information like
In our sender agreement we configure not only the channel but also the Sender Interface (in your case RFC)......this is the factor which defines what to accept......in broader term we use the same concept of channel re-use in other cases also and the same work fine because of this Sender Interface.
    I found Q28 interesting: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/730870
In first read it may sound confusing...but after some more rreads you will know what the answer means in the SAP note.

  • RFC sender communication channel

    Hi,
I am working on RFC->XI->SOAP scenario. In R/3, I maintainted an RFC destination with program id same as RFC sender CC  in XI, Gateway and host of XI server. But when i test connection the RFC destination, I am getting the following error.
    /CPIC-CALL: ThSAPOCMINIT'Transaction program not registered'
Error details: program 'testid' not registered.
What could be the reason and pls let me know if there are any thing else need to be checked or configured. Any blogs or example links are an additional help.
    Thanks
    Ricky

<i>1) In sap gateway (smgw) of R/3 sender, what should LU Name and TP Name contain? I am right now only seeing R3 host and gateway service respectively for both the columns. Is this correct?</i>
    >>>LU name is R/3 Host name.  To get the gateway service , go to SMGW>Menu in there GOTO->Parameters-->Display..
Generally it is sapgwXX  where XX means System no.
<i>2) The Gateway host of RFC destination in R/3 sender should be what? Is it the business system name in XI for the sender R/3?</i>
    >>>It should be Application Server details of the Application System i.e R/3 system. U can get this from the SAP logon pad and application host name. It is <u>not</u> XI server.
    Hope this helps,
    regards,
