EP implementation Standard BluePrint

Hi,
Our company is going for its very first EP implementation.Can anyone help me with preparing a blueprint for the same.Like what all standard things should be included.If theres some sample(default/template)bluePrint available please let me know.Or else if you have any sample blueprint with u please share with me.

How to implement STANDARD Picklists in Web ADIs

Hi,
I have been developing, configuring and implementing Custom Web ADIs in Oracle HRMS and I have used Excel 2000 as the third party tool and were able to implenment CREATE and UPDATE type of Integrators.
Also I am able to implement 'Standalone Queries'.
Using BEN_INTERFACE_COLS_B Table I am able to implement POPLISTs which is one among the two types of LOVs supported by Web ADI.
The other type is 'STANDARD' LOVs. I was trying to implement STANDARD LOVs, by using BNE_COMPONENTS_B Table.
But I got struckup at this point on,
1. Will Oracle Web ADI support user defined Java Class components?
2. If so after developing the Java componenet, what all updations are required other than updating BNE_COMPONENETS_B Table?
(How to integrate this java component with the integrator, I knew that VAL_COMPONENT_APP_ID & VAL_COMPONENT_CODE in the
Table BEN_INTERFACE_COLS_B has to be updated but will this be enough? )
3. Where to put the Java class component file in the Unix box to be used by the Custom Web ADIs.

Hi,
I tried updating bne_interface_cols_b for an existing column.
In launch Journal wizard, the 'Expense Type' or 'Segment3' has some LOV attached to it. I need to point that LOV to my custom table somehow.
I tried updating the table with the given values
UPDATE bne_interface_cols_b
SET val_id_col = 'VAR_FIXED',
val_mean_col = 'MEANING',

Copying standard blueprint application

Hi,
How do i copy standard blueprint applications into custom and make changes to it. My doubt is i need to copy at which level (i.e.), application or application set or even copy of fieldgroups has to be created.
Can anyone please tell me the necessary things needed to make a copy of standard blueprint application.

To start BAB
CRM>LAYOUT OF USER INTERFACE>APPLICATION/LAYOUT>BAB.
Change in to edit mode
create your own view ZCRM_##view for your groups##
save your entries.
BAB is started now new window.Select Application CRMM_ACCOUNT and view ZCRM_##
Create your own customizing request.
open the save menu.
Insert field
open the menu insert>field.
Place it on the screen.
Save your changes.
Check changes in the portal open account Application you want be able to see the changes because you havent set the paarmeters .Inorder to set the parameter
Go to SE80
Select BSP_APPLIACTION
Type in CRM_BSP_FRAME
Press the display icon.
open folder "pages with flow logic"
slect page "select.htm"
Click on right mouse button "test"
Type in ur user name and password.
Select the application.
Click in to the end of the URL and term &blview=ZCRM100##to URL string .
Press enter to relaod the application .
Now you would be able to see the changes.

I want to Enhance a Standard class's Method.
For this class "/SAPSRM/CL_CLL_PWL_A_SC_H" i want to write a new implementation for method "IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_DETAIL_COMP".
This method is inherited from "/SAPSRM/CL_CLL_POWL_BASE_AGENT" and is implemented in this class.
Now if i want to write a new implementation in class "/SAPSRM/CL_CLL_PWL_A_SC_H" , how do i do it?

Created an Implicit Enhancement of Class /SAPSRM/CL_CLL_POWL_BASE_AGENT , method IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_DETAIL_COMP.
Solved by using import parameter I_TYPE of IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_DETAIL_COMP method.

Solution Manager 4.0 Implementation Tools Experience Information

Hi,
We are looking at implementing the Blueprint, Configuration and Test Manager implementation tools for SM 4.0 to assist with our ERP2005 upgrade from 4.6C.
We have gone through pretty much everything that is available online for SM in SAP Service Marketplace and have taken SM training SMI310. We are at the next step of proceeding with the implementation.
I am looking for <b>anyone who has gone through an SM implementation</b> and can help with documented standards, templates and defined processes and user roles for Solution Manager implementation of the Blueprint, Configuration and Test Manager implementation tools.
Anything that can give us a better understanding and a head start to our SM implementation would be appreciated.

To answer some of your questions:
Keywords: We have used keyword "In scope" on structure nodes (processes, process steps) to allow the consultants to add relevant processes and documentation which is not relevant for the current project but must likely will be later. The keyword can then be used as a filter when generating blueprint.
Furthermore we have used keywords related to prototypes - so it is easy to apply a filter to show eg. which scenarios/processes are included in prototype1, prototype2 and so on,
We have a long list of documentation types, based on the best practice templates. Too many to list here.
Solution manager keeps track of document versions (history), so we use the standard status codes: "in process", when worked on. "review", when submittet to approval and "released" when finished.
There is no technical difference between doing config from SM vs in dev system - as you basically access the img. But for people used to workíng in Dev system directly, it is a quite new way to work. And there are some configuration items not in the IMG - which then cannot be linked into SM.
IMG objects will appear in several processes, and one option is to link in the same img objects in several processes, and then place the documentation along with the objects in a way where the consultant use the "where used" function on img objects to check if it has already been used elsewhere, and then create a link to the documentation there, and work in the same document. But in several cases they would have to start a new document, if it is not logical to add to other documents containing info on how the img object is configured.
You can use the standard roles for application consultant and project manager - they should cover implementation needs.

We are implementing standard CRM Fiori application – My Opportunities. No customization has been done to this app.
Error is appearing while trying to open “Account” popup window. Error message is as below.

Hi Masa,
The CRM version in our landscape is : CRM 7.0 EHP3
But we have installed below versions in Fiori.
UIX02CRM (release 100) SP3.
GBX02CRM SP3
Please suggest whether we need to uninstall them and install new versions(CRM001-CRM 7.0 EhP3 SPS07).
Also system does not allow to uninstall existing components. Please advice on this.

What are the major issues in implementation SAP CRM sales and CIC.

We are newly implanting the project to the mobile Manfaturing Company. Our Clint is going for are looking to implement the CIC interaction center win Clint and the Sales modules of CRM .
We have some 3rd parry raw data with us with that raw data we are calling to the customers and we want create the opportunity in the CIC after that we will convert the opportunity as a sales with our other sales people. After that they will sale that product to that customers.
We have the back end of the R/3 SD, MM modules implemented for Clint.
Now 1) I want to know after implementation what are the major issues will come in the project normally for the conman Sales and CIC Win Clint projects kindly give the some issues normally come and solutions for the problems also.
My motto is that if I know the issues I can make preparation for that conman issues and I will make my project with good effective and smooth running ..

hi prakesh,
firstly, cic winclient is an older version and obsolete so its better to implement the new crm version.
secondly, in any case if you want to implement, then your 3rd party raw data has to be mapped with the SAP system which could be a problem. Middleware could be a lot of effort. Rest all depends on how much customization you need for your business requirement in cic and sales. In case you are implementing standard functionality mostly then no major complications are expected otherwise lot of development effort may be required.

for changing the smartform and scripts use there methods..
1. goto se63>translation->abap objects->other long texts->FS Forms and Styles---> for scripts use Forms
                                       for smartforsm use SAPSmart form
                                       for styles use Styles
2. goto se71->utilities->original language.---> source lang
(for scripts)                                                     target lang
to include the include text created in the tcode so10 in the smartforms go to general attributes of the text element--text type> include text...

Problem in Implementing Filter BADI

Hi Experts ,
I have a problem in Implementing Standard BADI OIJ_NOMIT_VALIDATION , this one is a Filter BADI , with Filter type OIJ_NOMITEM_CHCK . i created a implementation ZOIJ_NOMIT_VALIDATION with filter ZOIJ_NOMIT and write code in method VALIDATE . But this is not triggered. Any additional configuration needed for this ?

Business content implementation timeline

Hello folks,
Trying to get an idea of timeline to plan for implementing standard business content for the new G/L functionality and Asset accounting. Assume a brand new SAP BI install EHP3 and no customization. Will appreciate any guidelines to consider for this.

No customization? Standard guidance is that business content only gets you 10-20% of the way....
Also still many variables...performance optimization...for instance do you use FI_GL_10 or FI_GL_12...same content but different method of delta extraction and big concern depending on requirements....Also do you plan to convert business content to follow current best practice? LSA/EDW approach? Or leave it in 3.x format? Queries? Implementation of MultiProviders? Time to design security roles and validate? Bex web or simply analyzer? Are you wanting to know end to end time for no customization and integration testing with users, and time to go-live? Or just straight content activation time in development only?
The straight up content activation time with no customization, testing, etc. is the smallest part of the project, but is still significant depending on which InfoProviders you choose, etc.
You can stand it up in a couple of weeks...but you'll spend months making it useful.

How To hide buttons in standard ESS /MSS applications .

I have implemented standard ESS/MSS business package version mySAP2005 in ECC 6.0. Now in a standard iView buttons like Edit ,Previous ,etc are present . Now how can I hide these buttons ,say Edit button from iview level ?Now since this is Client Requirement .
My main problem is I do not have adequate time to customize the standard applications through coding .Is there any other way to do it ?Thanks in advance for any solution provided quickly as goalive is near .

What is the best way to find the standard implementation for this BADI in SE19?
Usually, I know the BADI but want to look how it is implemented (standard SAP implementation) etc and see the code inlcuded in the method....would like to kow how it can be done....

Do the following Steps:
Go to the Tran Code: SE84
CLICK ENHANCEMENT
CLICK BADI
CLICK IMPLEMENTATIONS
In the right hand side pane, in the Additional Selections
Give the BADI Name in the Definition Name, and Execute.
Now you will get list of all Implementations made to that BADI.
or the other way is
go to SE18 and give your BADI NAME.. and click Where used list.

implemented a standard software development mothodology in our
team's work. However, as I have not gone through any such
standards that is recommended by Oracle or any other
International bodies, I have always tried to make our software
development suitable for my self and our team which, I wonder,
may not meet any standards recommended by Oracle.
I am thus looking for some resources, books, magazines that
describe, in detail, standard methods of software development in
Oracle platform. Starting from naming an entity, naming a form,
report, a block in a form, naming variables, using color schemes,
etc., I would like to use standard names/methods to all objects
of our application and implement standard software development
methodology in our development.
Please suggest me such methods or resources and let me know where
I can find them.

My suggestion on this would be.
1. Check the Developer's manual in which Oracle has given certain
guidelines in application development.
2. Naming convention can be used as per your convenience, but
should follow the same pattern throughout.
3. Most big companies make their Methodology book, but that is
changed or reviewed every two year or later.
4. If you find such book do let me know as well
