Epson XP-810 Not Working after Downloading Yosemite.

I have an Epson XP-810 printer. After downloading Yosemite, the printer has stopped working with all of our Macs. It connects to the wifi network. The printing job starts. After that the job box says looking for the printer. I have checked for all updates, I have downloaded all drivers from Epson, I have turned off the printer and the computers, nothing works. I have deleted the printer and re-installed several times. It shows up in the printer & scanners box but it still will not print or scan. Does anyone know whats up?

Well you've tried just about everything.  Just curious, after I installed Yosemite I had an update notification for the latest Epson driver for my XP-410.  Not the same printer of course, but did you receive an Epson driver update notification from the App Store?
You can try to "reset the printing system".  In the System Preferences Printers & Scanners window press the Control key while clicking in the printer list.  Then select the reset choice.

same issue here... And a restore didn't do any good either.
Try backing up your information to iTunes, and Restore your devices as new with no content on it what-so-ever. If the issue persists after that, this may be a hardware issue. Check your Mic's for debris, and remove the case you have on the device as well to see if you have the same results. Then contact Apple Support if all else fails.

  • Script does not work after download

    Hi,
I have build a form in SAP enviornment using Adobe Life Cycle designer, while designing I have been using XML datasource and wrote scripts for different events on the elements of the form, the script works perfectly fine while designing, but fails when downloaded through an application. I downloaded form and to check if the scripts are still there or not, the script was present, but would not simply execute, for ex. while on clicking of button, certain fields on the form are to be hidden, but this would not work.
    ex. this.parent.parent.StaticText39.presence
    = "hidden";this.parent.parent.STELL_STEXT.presence
    = "hidden";
The above scripts work perfect durong designing the form, but would not work after form is downloaded through an applciation. Could any one have answer to wierd behaviour?
    Regards,
    Shishir.P

Was the form saved as a dynamic XML form?
While the default preview in LiveCycle Designer may be set to dynamic XML form, thus providing the dynamic behaviour you are seeking, if the form is not saved as a dynamic XML form Adobe Reader and Acrobat will not respect the changes to the presence property at run-time.

  • IPhoto upgrade will not install after downloading Yosemite

iPhoto will not upgrade after installing Yosemite.

Ok so here's what you gonna do. (had this problem myself today, and after some fiddling figured out what to do.)
Find your old iPhoto with a cross through it, right-click it and select 'show package contents'. A folder will open. In that folder go to Contents>MacOS and there will be three little things there. Click on the one called 'iPhoto' and terminal will open. Leave terminal open and wait four seconds and VOILA! iPhoto opens. Leave terminal open until you are finished with iPhoto, because if you close terminal, iPhoto will close with it. THX! ENJOY! Hope it works.
    P.S.
You can close terminal once you close iPhoto. I also suggest backing up your iPhoto library while you can.

  • Illustrator CC 2014 open and place commands not working after installing Yosemite

How can I get Illustrator Open and Place commands to work after installing Yosemite?

    Hello,
I also have the same problem, after 5 minutes I can't open or place anything in illustrator. I have this problem also in photoshop cc 2014. This started after installing Yosemite.
Tried to reinstall but nothing helps.
Today after updating creative cloud application it is even worse: illustrator is not opening anything: not even a new file. So I reinstalled... and I can open again for 5 minutes. But then it crashed while saving. Now I can't open illustrator at all...so nothing left to do then reinstalling again I suppose?

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • My Mac Pro has stopped working after downloading Yosemite OS

I downloaded Yosemite and everything was working ok. I left it for a few hours and when I came back it would not work - just a blank screen. I have tried restarting but after the initial 'cord' sound there is just a blank screen. Any ideas?

Take each of these steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
To restart an unresponsive computer, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the power shuts off, then release, wait a few more seconds, and press it again briefly.
    Step 1
The first step in dealing with a startup failure is to secure the data. If you want to preserve the contents of the startup drive, and you don't already have at least one current backup, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data that has changed since the last backup, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to start. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
    a. Start up from the Recovery partition, or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) When the OS X Utilities screen appears, launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.” The article refers to starting up from a DVD, but the procedure in Recovery mode is the same. You don't need a DVD if you're running OS X 10.7 or later.
    b. If Step 1a fails because of disk errors, and no other Mac is available, then you may be able to salvage some of your files by copying them in the Finder. If you already have an external drive with OS X installed, start up from it. Otherwise, if you have Internet access, follow the instructions on this page to prepare the external drive and install OS X on it. You'll use the Recovery installer, rather than downloading it from the App Store.
    c. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, start the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
    d. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
    Step 2
If the startup process stops at a blank gray screen with no Apple logo or spinning "daisy wheel," then the startup volume may be full. If you had previously seen warnings of low disk space, this is almost certainly the case. You might be able to start up in safe mode even though you can't start up normally. Otherwise, start up from an external drive, or else use the technique in Step 1b, 1c, or 1d to mount the internal drive and delete some files. According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation.
    Step 3
Sometimes a startup failure can be resolved by resetting the NVRAM.
    Step 4
If a desktop Mac hangs at a plain gray screen with a movable cursor, the keyboard may not be recognized. Press and hold the button on the side of an Apple wireless keyboard to make it discoverable. If need be, replace or recharge the batteries. If you're using a USB keyboard connected to a hub, connect it to a built-in port.
    Step 5
If there's a built-in optical drive, a disc may be stuck in it. Follow these instructions to eject it.
    Step 6
Press and hold the power button until the power shuts off. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to start up, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use a different keyboard and/or mouse, if those devices are wired. If you can start up now, one of the devices you disconnected, or a combination of them, is causing the problem. Finding out which one is a process of elimination.
    Step 7
If you've started from an external storage device, make sure that the internal startup volume is selected in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
Start up in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know the login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
When you start up in safe mode, it's normal to see a dark gray progress bar on a light gray background. If the progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or if the system shuts down automatically while the progress bar is displayed, the startup volume is corrupt and the drive is probably malfunctioning. In that case, go to Step 11. If you ever have another problem with the drive, replace it immediately.
If you can start and log in in safe mode, empty the Trash, and then open the Finder Info window on the startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) Check that you have at least 9 GB of available space, as shown in the window. If you don't, copy as many files as necessary to another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion isn't complete until you empty the Trash again. Do this until the available space is more than 9 GB. Then restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)
If the startup process hangs again, the problem is likely caused by a third-party system modification that you installed. Post for further instructions.
    Step 8
Launch Disk Utility in Recovery mode (see Step 1.) Select the startup volume, then run Repair Disk. If any problems are found, repeat until clear. If Disk Utility reports that the volume can't be repaired, the drive has malfunctioned and should be replaced. You might choose to tolerate one such malfunction in the life of the drive. In that case, erase the volume and restore from a backup. If the same thing ever happens again, replace the drive immediately.
This is one of the rare situations in which you should also run Repair Permissions, ignoring the false warnings it may produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then restart as usual.
    Step 9
If the startup device is an aftermarket SSD, it may need a firmware update and/or a forced "garbage collection." Instructions for doing this with a Crucial-branded SSD were posted here. Some of those instructions may apply to other brands of SSD, but you should check with the vendor's tech support.
    Step 10
Reinstall the OS. If the Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
    Step 11
Do as in Step 9, but this time erase the startup volume in Disk Utility before installing. The system should automatically restart into the Setup Assistant. Follow the prompts to transfer the data from a Time Machine or other backup.
    Step 12
This step applies only to models that have a logic-board ("PRAM") battery: all Mac Pro's and some others (not current models.) Both desktop and portable Macs used to have such a battery. The logic-board battery, if there is one, is separate from the main battery of a portable. A dead logic-board battery can cause a startup failure. Typically the failure will be preceded by loss of the settings for the startup disk and system clock. See the user manual for replacement instructions. You may have to take the machine to a service provider to have the battery replaced.
    Step 13
If you get this far, you're probably dealing with a hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.

  • Iphoto will not work after uploading yosemite

After uploading the Yosemite upgrade. The iPhoto will not work. I have done what the software recommends. I have deleted the app and reloaded it. I get the same message. The message that i get is:
your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable.
shut down and restart your computer and then open iPhoto again. if the problem persists. try rebuilding your photo library. to do this quit iPhoto, and then reopen it while keeping the option and command keys pressed. you can also try restoring your photo library from a backup.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
    Matt

Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Flash Player not working after downloading new version

I downloaded Flash Player 10 and it does not work.I am using Windows XP and Internet Explorer. I have tried the trouble shooting. I have made sure its enabled under Active X and it does not work at all now. I have tried to download Flash Player 9 and now that will not download. I regularly use site that require Flash and I am shut down until I can figure out what is wrong. Please help.

I have the same issue after I was prompted yesterday to upgrade my Flash player. With the new version, 2/3 of Flash pages do not work. But 1/3 do work !
Example of page that does not work with new version of Flash :
    http://www.youtube.com/  (the whole site)
    http://www.adobe.com/fr/products/flashplayer/  (Adobe's official Flash page !)
Example of page that does work with new version of Flash :
    http://www.voleursdechevaux.be/page_flash.html
On first glance, I would say that Flash loaded through JavaScript fails. Only Flash embedded through HTML works. But I am not competent enough to discover why.
Here is my current configuration (the version test at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html works well) :
    Player Version : WIN 10.0.22.87
    Debug Player : no
    Operating System : Vista
    Browser : Internet Explorer 8
    Locale : French

  • Vuze not working after installing Yosemite

I did an upgrade from Mountain Lion to yosemite today after months of putting it off.  Everything went great, mail is working etc and all looking good.  Except Vuze - it will not open at all.  i kept getting a message to install the latest Java, which I did and still not working.  I googled the problem and lots of people talking about using a different installer and providing the link, so I did that one too.  At the end it said Vuze has been installed successfully.  But when i click on the icon at the bottom of my screen it still gives me the error message 'To open Fuze you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime'.  Then when i click More info, I'm back to where i started.  Please help - and I want to be able to save my library of course too.  All my files are on an external hard drive and I run time machine regularly.
I'm not very technically savvy, so any help and advice would be much appreciated. Please help me get my Vuze working again.  Thank you.

Right, App Store Support solved my problem.(iPhoto & iMovie were packaged with my iMac when I bought it.  Upgrading from Mountain Lion to Yosemite wiped that out, and these apps did not show up in my purchased list.  This would not have happened if Maverick had been installed prior to Yosemite.)

    Hi @sam1211 ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook and Bluetooth and HP Simplepass complications since doing a Windows upgrade. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application. Just to make sure all drivers and software are updated as well.
Here is a document on troubleshooting and using Bluetooth if needed. Under the tips for finding a Bluetooth device, there is a section on making sure the wireless communication is turned on. This is an important section.
Here is another document with some great information about Bluetooth fixes.
Here is a link to troubleshoot the HP Simplepass software.
The HP SimplePass Identity Protection Software must be updated to v8.00.57 or later. Here is a link to download the latest. You will have to uninstall the old software.
Hope this helps you with the Bluetooth and HP Simplepass.
    Thanks.
