Equal Volume Adjustment for All Songs

Is there a quick way to put every song in the library at a the same volume rather than having to adjust the volume of each indiviual song? I'm changing to another song on my iPod and all of a sudden I come accross songs that blows my head off it's so loud.

I like -> iVolume .

  • Any new technology for volume adjustment so all songs sound the same?

It's the age old question about volume adjustment and playback - when all songs sound different. And we all know the sound check feature doesn't work that well - especially when you have songs in different bit rates. I play my iPod over a very large sound system and the differences in volume are shocking.
It doesn't look like anything works, after all these years. Someone recommended putting ALL the songs up to 100% in the volume adjustment ... but that can't possibly work, can it?
Have there been ANY improvements in sound adjustment??? Or am I still stuck adjusting each song myself?

Are you speaking from experience? From what I've seen, it's 30 bucks ... with mixed reviews. I use the iPod for broadcasting over a large sound system - maybe it's not the way to go (as some have recommended NOT using iPods to broadcast over public places) - but is there ANY foolproof method? If iVolume does, indeed, work ..... I have no problem shelling out $30 for it. Or is the human ear still the way to go??? (I currently, painstakingly, adjust each song - one by one!)

  • Can I mass volume increase for all songs???

Can I increase the volume on all of my songs within iTunes without doing them individually?
    Thanks!
    Mike

Sure, simply do a Select All (Command-A), then Get Info, and then under options change the volume. It will be changed in bulk for how ever many songs you had selected. So you can do this for a couple songs, a whole album, or your entire library if you wish.

  • Can I change the settings for ALL songs in iTunes with 1 command?

I'd like to set the volume for all songs to +100. Can I just select all songs and then change it to +100?

Highlight all the songs in your library (ctrl+a, edit-->select all, etc.)
Now right click one of the songs, making sure that all remain highlighted, and go to get info. Click Yes to the message that pops up. You should be able to adjust the volume in that window. Click OK when you are done. The volume should now be adjusted for all songs.

  • How do I get the volume on my ipod classic to the same level for all songs?  Some are louder than others.

How do I get the volume on my ipod classic to the same level for all songs?  Some songs are a lot lower than others.

Coverflow in iTunes is sorted by Album Artist whereas coverflow on the iPod classic is sorted by Artist. Unfortunately, there is no way to set this on your iPod. This is such a fumble on Apple's part that I'm beginning to think they're becoming another Microsloth with buggy firmware and products.

  • ITunes Music art stays the same for all songs

This just happened after the update before the most recent one. When I play my iTunes music through the ATV, the artwork in the big screen for Now Playing screen does not update. It shows one album for all songs. As shown below. All songs have the Rolling Stones artwork.  I did a complete reset to factory settings a month ago and that fixed it, but now it is happening again.
The weird part is when I go to the home screen, I see the correct artwork - ACDC up in the left corner under the Now Playing window. It is only when it is expanded is when I have the problem.
This problem happens when I play both ITunes Match through the cloud, and my music through me iTunes library on my Pc.

That's what iTunes -> Preferences -> Playback -> Sound Check does - equalizes the volume across tracks to provide a more-even playback.

  • No volume adjustment for video clips

    Hi there!
I have noticed that the volume adjustment for video clips, set in the options pane of the clip itself, will not be respected by iTunes while playing the video.
Is there someone else with a similar issue or already with a solution?
    Thanks in advance!

I've tested all versions since 10.0.1 (for PC) and none work. Versions 10.0.1 and below will allow you to change the volume adjustmant and the equalizer setting for individual videos. No answer from apple!  You can try an older version like I did.

  • ITunes 10 - artwork back for all songs in list view!

    Hi Everyone,
iTunes 9 had an option in list view, were you could see the album artwork for all song on the left. iTunes 10 do not have this option or you can see them only for albums in the album list view. Apple say, it is good for saving space. But c'mon, what if I do not have albums, just single songs, I cannot see the artwork for them? In my opinion artwork is also useful, because you can identify song better you like, you can more easily search for them! So I would like to have this option back! Hope for an update!

let Apple know via _*iTunes feedback*_.

  • How do I get itunes to show BPM for all songs?

how do I get itunes to show BPM for all songs?

    McChris,
The BPM field can be viewed, but it is almost always empty unless you have taken steps to populate it.
You can use a 3rd party tool to perform BPM detection and add it to your iTunes database:

  • Incorrect artist name for all songs by that artist

Recently something weird has happened to my music library on my iPhone 5S (iOS 8.2 before, but I've updated to 8.3 and still the issue persists). All the songs by a particular artist have the artist name listed wrongly. For example, I have about 50 Katy Perry songs from her 3 albums, and all of them are listed as "Katy Perry & Snoop Dogg", which is, by the way, the artist name for ONLY California Gurls. Funny thing is, the artist names display correctly on iTunes on my MacBook Pro. I've checked the info for the songs, and the names are correct under both Details and Sorting. This happens for a few other artists as well.
I've tried deleting the songs from my iPhone and re-syncing them back, still the same. I've tried changing the artist, album artist info for the songs, doesn't help. I've even re-synced my entire music library to my iPhone but that didn't work either.
Probably a bug but is there a workaround or a fix for this?

    UPDATE!!!
Turns out that deleting glitchy albums from the phone and then re-syncing via Home computer's iTunes worked!
It just takes a bit longer to change over to the proper artist names!!!
    YAYY!!!!
So deleting music from iPhone Music Library and then going into your home iTunes Library and re-syncing/adding it to your iphone or device while it is plugged in via USB!

  • How come my genius will not play for all songs?

I'm trying to figure out why my iTunes/iPod Genius will only create a playlist for some songs, but not all? I have mulitilpy ablums by and artist and Genius will work on some songs but not the others. Why is that? Is there something I need to do, updates, settings, etc.? Thanks

It happens when you download from two or more different Apple IDs often. It says you must waut 90 days before you can play it without wifi. So in 90 days, try to download again.
    Good luck!

  • My itunes will not search computer for all songs stored.

I rencently reinstalled itunes to try to get it to reconize a external burner. It will now not automatically search the computer for all the songs that were orignally there.

    Yes.
You should have copied everything from the old computer to the new one.
Type "move itunes library" into the google search bar

  • Trying to recover "date added" for all songs in itunes

Hello, so recently I deleted some playlists off my iPhone in order to free up space for the time being and did not realize that Apple changed its iOS so that it deleted the playlists off my iTunes as well. When I did this before, it did not do that.
So in an attempt to recover my lost playlists I moved my iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Library.xml to the desktop and then when I reopened iTunes I clicked import playlist and imported the iTunes Library.xml on the desktop.
It reimported all my songs, but it didn't even recover the playlists I was trying to gain again. In addition now all my "date added" is today date's which is not very useful to me considering a lot of my playlists are organized by the date added feature.
Is there anyway to get the date added back for all my songs? I still have the itunes library.itl and itunes library.xml that I moved to the desktop in the first place on the desktop.
    Thanks.

Also it kept all other things (ratings, date modified, play count, everything except date added)

  • Volume adjustment for videos DOES NOT WORK.

When you right-click->Get Info->Options on a VIDEO and change the Volume Adjustment slider, it has no effect. Works for music files, but not videos.
    Is this a known bug/issue?

The problem is that I want certain videos to play louder on my iPod. I can always turn my computer speakers up louder, but the volume on iPod only goes up so high...
