  • Serial Number System Status is EDEL and ESTO, SAP does not allow to do PGI

    Hello All,
We are unable to make PGI for Sales Order 2066904/10 because of wrong Serial Number Status.
Delivery note was created on the 22.12.2012 and then due to errors deleted on 27.12.2012.
Problem is that now we need to do PGI but Serial Number System Status is EDEL and ESTO, SAP does not allow to do PGI with Serial Number Status ESTO.
These 8 products are in Stock and available for this Sales Order, one of the Serial Numbers is with OK Status
    8115001012
    8115001057
    8115001058
    8115001079
    8115001081 with OK status
    8115001180
    8115001181
    8115001690
Please let us know how to correct the problem so we could do PGI for this Order?
This scenario is not replicable in RST(Quality System)
    Our Findings:
** 1. We have tried IQ02>Edit>Special Serial No Functions>Manual Transactions>To Stock, But it still do not remove EDEL.
    2. Is it suggestible to use T Code BS22 and thereby change PMS8 to Warning? I am not sure regarding this since this a SAP managed Table
Your help is highly obliged......This is very urgent..........

    Hi,
I have encountered same issue today and here is the solution:
    1. Manually changed the status from EDEL/ESTO to ECUS
Go to Edit > Special Serial Number Functions > Manual Transaction and select "To Customer", then save.
    2. Once status is in ECUS, change the serial number status back to ESTO.
Go to Edit > Special Serial Number Functions > Manual Transaction and select "To Stock", then save.
After doing the 2 steps above, you should be able to do PGI using the serial number.
Kindly advise if it works for you.

  • After upgrading to 3.6.8 our desktop will no longer connect to our DSL system. It downloaded and installed the upgrade then refused to connect. Help!

Background: our desktop computer started shutting off sporadically. I researched the problem, reset the memory chip, checked battery voltage on the motherboard (it was okay), resinserted the battery and tried to boot. It started up successfully and connected to the internet via our DSL line. FF had trouble opening pages due to security certificates so I checked to see if upgrades were available (3.6.8 was) and I downloaded and installed it. After that it refused to work. Apparently a setting somewhere got changed but I don't know what it might be. The DSL connection works with other computers which are wireless (the desktop has a hard connection.) Operating system is Windows XP. Other browsers do not work.

  • How do I do back to previous system folder after archive and install?

Did an archive and install (retaining my existing user account), only to discover it was unnecessary. (Turns out the problem was hardware-related.)
How do I go back to using my previous system folder?

    FloydianSlip wrote:
Huh. Hardly seems to be worth "archiving" if you can't go back to the archive.
The purpose of an *Archive & Install* is to install a fresh, known-good copy of the OS, while preserving in the archive all the files from the previous copy of the installed OS that you might potentially need for some reason. (This is why it is called an Archive & Install.)
However, since any of these archived files might have been damaged in some way since they were installed or created, or in some way conflict with a freshly installed OS, they cannot be considered "known-good" without further testing & should not be reintroduced haphazardly into the "live" system.
The value of this install method should be obvious if you consider that if the OS is sufficiently damaged it will not run the computer, either at all or well enough to recover from whatever damage is done. Without this option, you would have to erase the existing startup disk completely (with the *Erase & Install* method), losing everything created or installed besides what is contained in the OS installer.
The closest equivalents to the kind of archive that you can "go back to" are cloning the entire drive or using the 'restore from Time Machine' option from the installer DVD's Utilities menu, assuming you use Time Machine.

  • Can I copy newer system (10.6.8.) from previous system folder after archive and install with (10.5.4)?

    Rightyho,
had trouble with extensions in 10.6.8 and had to re-install with original disks 10.5.4.
    Did an archive and install.
In my (dated) Previous System Folder are Appl / Library / System / User folders.
Copied my User folder back no problem.
Can that also be done with the newer system? No info in support.
Time Machine won't migrate because of newer system and I have only a disk image of Snow Leopard and can't burn double layer DVDs.

  • Previous System folder vs. system folder after archive and install

Hi there - I am very new to mac but love the products and am excited to be a part of the culture.
Because I am having battery-type problems I was told to do an archive and install to see if it was a software problem.
My question is, I followed the instructions apple gave for doing the archive and install. And it says that you can delete the previous system folder if everything is the same or you can move stuff over.
The problem is I want to delete the previous systems folder but it is very different than the new one and I don't even know what I would copy.
Briefly, the new system folder just has one folder inside called library with a bunch of folders inside of that.
The previous system folder called previous system 1 has folders entitled application, library, mach.sym, private, system, and users. Why are they different and what can I do?

The previous system, in most cases can be safely deleted. You can't revert to it anyway, so there's no fall back option to worry about. If you've saved everything in your user folder (or home folder - same thing) your data is safe. The previous system may have some preference files for apps you run, perhaps even registration data for apps that require serial #'s when you install them. If everything runs fine, and your data is where it's supposed to be, you can safely delete the previous system. I'd suggest making sure everything runs OK for a week or so, make sure all your apps work and all your data is there, then delete the previous system.

  • PS-Relationship between the system status in wbs elements and activities.

Relationship between the system status in wbs elements and activities.
We have the following requeriment with the system status in PS. We have a project with complete technically status and we want to undo the complete technically status in one activity without changing the complete technically status in the WBS element or the project.
The reason is that after putting the complete technically status, users have to change the values in the P.O. We don´t want "open" all the project and we only need to "open" the activity where the P.O. are in.
Is that possible? How is connected the system status between activities, wbs elements and the project son I can change the status in the below step without changing the higher steps?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Bala
Yes, you have put it rather correctly.
We use WBS elements for booking and posting time (client requirement). So what I am looking for is WBS Elements with the system status TERL (Time and Expense Released).
I talked of the deletion flag also, because a WBS element flagged for deletion can't be used. It's one of the criteria to screen the WBS elements.
    I hope it's clearer now.
    Vinitha.

  • QN and System Status NOTI

When the Quality Notifications in our sytem are completed they have a System Status of NOCO and the Complete date (QMEL-QMDAB) gets set.
When the Quality Notification is put back in process or opened back up and then re-completed the System Status is updated again to NOCO and another System Status of NOTI (Notification (Internal)) is set and the Complete Date is no longer updated.
Can someone please instruct me on how to get the Complete Date set again or do I need to not let the system set the System Status with NOTI?   If so, what is the proper process for accomplishing this?
    Thanks.

Can someone please instruct me on how to get the Complete Date set again or do I need to not let the system set the System Status with NOTI? If so, what is the proper process for accomplishing this?
I will just share my views on this. When you put back in process or opened back up and then re-complete the notification ,system will not again ask you the "Internal Completion date. There is no revision for this date.
What you can do is change date Manually in notification bellow where you set the "priority".......Is completion date appears there?
this is the only way to change.

  • Archive and Install: "Previous Systems" Folder?

I had to do an archive and install a few days ago on my iMac. Thankfully it hasn't ever been necessary before on any of my systems in the many years I've been using Macs.
Firstly: what would be the consequences — if indeed there are any at all — of deleting the "Previous Systems" folder? I desperately need to free up some disk space to install some rather large apps that I need for work; however, owing to my unfamiliarity with how OSX organises the system after an archive and install, I'm averse to just deleting the folder if doing so might possibly result in system instability.
Secondly: The archive and install seems to have gone well; the user accounts seem to work fine and I have just finished updating without any significant issues (other than sometimes not being able to hide apps/finder — but this is only a minor irritation). Also, I tried to move some of my plugins from the archived system folder to the new one; however, it doesn't appear to have been any use — the plugins are either not recognised or simply don't work. Again, this is only a minor issue as I can always download and re-install all of my codecs as and when...
    Thanks.

although I verify the internal HD that computer boots from roughly once every one to two months and it never seems to indicate that there are any problem.
Oh, that fine then if it Verifies OK.
It might be prudent to mention at this point that I haven't been able to make a full system back-up of the main/boot HD either. Mainly because I don't have a third party app to do it...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.

  • HT3669 I have an Epsom 1250 photo scanner that will not work with my new iMac.  I get an error report indicating 'scanner ot available' and the indicator light on the scanner goes to red.

When I try to use the scanner I get error message 'scanner not available' and the scanner indicator goes red .  I have contacted Epsom who advised me to run System update on my Mac several times which I havedone to no avail.  The scanner is in working order as it works satifactorily with my 'Windows' laptop.  The scanner is listed as being included in the driver updates but It would appear that the driver on my iMac supplied  in any update is not suitable.
I am currently running OSX 10.8.4
What steps should I now persue to be able to use the scanner?
    Alan.

    Howdy Susiesdad,
I would suggest the troubleshooting steps from this article named Troubleshooting printer issues in OS X found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3147
Don't let the name throw you off, the troubleshooting is relevant for scanners as well.
Follow these steps until the issue is addressed:
Make sure that the printer is powered on, has ink / toner, and that there are no alerts on the printer’s control panel. Note: If you cannot clear an alert on the printer's control panel, stop here and check the printer's documentation or contact the manufacturer for support.
Ensure the printer is properly connected to a USB port on the Mac or AirPort base station / Time Capsule. If the printer is a network-capable printer, make sure that it is properly connected to your home network.
Use Software Update to find and install the latest available updates. If an update is installed, see if the issue persists.
Open the Print & Scan pane or Print & Fax (Snow Leopard) pane in System Preferences.
Delete the affected printer, then add the printer again.
If the issue persists, try these additional steps:
Reset the printing system, then add the printer again.
If the issue still persists, reset the printing system again.  Download and install your printer's drivers. Then, add the printer again.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • Setting up a dual boot system with OS 9 and OS 10

I am currently running OS 9.2 on the G4 and want to run OS 10.4 as a dual boot system. Can I go as far as 10.4 with dual boot? Is there any more to it than partitioning the system drive in two and installing the two OS's on the two partitions?

    Hi, Matt -
Is there any more to it than partitioning the system drive in two and installing the two OS's on the two partitions?
    No.
As Dave Hamilton said, if using OSX's Disk Utility to do the partitioning, be sure you select the option to install OS 9 drivers. If that option is not selected, then OS 9 will not be able to mount the volume(s), nor use one for booting.
Reminder - partitioning a drive requires that it be re-initialized. This will erase everything on the drive, so be sure you have backed up anything you do not want to lose.
And, be sure to select Mac OS Extended as the format for all partitions. That is the only format which can be used by both OS 9 and OSX for booting.
    <hr>
Although many folk do partition a drive (or use two separate drives - your DA model is pre-equipped to accept a second internal drive), you do not need to do that in order to install OSX.
OSX should install smoothly onto the same drive where OS 9 is located. There is no conflict between the two - machines which originally came with both OS 9 and OSX pre-installed had both installed on an unpartitioned drive.
However, there are distinct advantages to having OS 9 and OSX on separate volumes or drives -
    • Maintenance and/or repair of each OS and its files is easier
    • Re-installation of either OS, should that ever be necessary, is easier
    • Startup Manager can be used

  • Printer issues after archive and install

So I recently took my iMac into the Apple store and they did an archive and install.
Now I can't get either of my printers to work. I have a Samsung ML2010 and an Epson 1400. They both show up in Printers in the system prefs printer pane, with green lights saying they are idle.
When I go to print with the Samsung, it even goes to far as to sound like its starting up, it says printing when I click on the printer in the dock, then quickly switches to stopped.
From there when I press resume, it pops up an error message saying "Operation Could Not Be Completed. client-error-not-possible"
If I'm not mistaken pretty much the same thing happens when I try to print from the Epson as well.
What's wrong and how can I fix it?
I've tried deleting the printers from the printer prefs page and reinstalling the drivers to no avail.

Did you make a backup before your archive and install?
If not, you may be forced to clone everything at least twice*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/backup.html
    Erase and install.
Test the drivers on a simply erase and installed system updated to the operating system it was at before (down to the free download)*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/upgradefaq.html
And restore just the data that is known to work with that operating system from your backup. The other consideration you'll see in my FAQ is if you migrated from PowerPC to Intel, you might have mixed drivers that don't work well together.
are all Intel iMacs, and are not G5s.
are sometimes G5, sometimes Intel. If the Mac can boot, go to Apple menu -> About This Mac to tell the difference. If it won't boot, put the machine on its back, and read the under side of the foot of the stand. The EMC# on the foot of the stand will tell you the difference. EMC#s of 2104, 2105, 2110, 2114, 2118, 2111, 2133, 2134 are Intel. All others are G5.
An archive and install may fail if the system you are archive and installing from is older than what is already installed.

  • Missing mail after "archive and install"

    Hello,
I went to talk to the folks at the "genius bar" today because my powerbook fan has been blazing like crazy. I had OS 10.4 on my computer, which I had installed from an upgrade about a year ago. I bought the computer a few months before that, when it still shipped with OS 10.3. So the guy at the mac store told me to re-install the system using the archive and install feature and the original install disks. He told me to re-install 10.3, which came with the computer, and then to run the upgrade that I have to get it back to 10.4.
I am having some problems. I have reinstalled X.3 and find that when I open the Mail application, all of my messages of the last year are gone. I can't find them anywhere. But everything else on the computer seems untouched...all of my documents, and even old emails from before I made the upgrade to 10.4, one year ago.
I am afraid that if I do anything else, like install 10.4 that I will lose any chance of recovering these files. Does anybody have any advice on where I can recover the emails from my inbox and other folders? The guy at the apple store assured me that everything would be saved by clicking the "preserve users and network settings" option in the re-install program.
Or will everything show up again when I re-install 10.4? I was holding off on doing this because I wanted to see if the fan would run less using the older system, as someone suggested that I try this. I also tried to "import" the inbox in the library/mail folder, but this only imported all of the messages that I already have...not the lost ones.
    thanks for any advice!
    colin

Did the folks or this person at the "genius bar" also recommend that you create or update your backup before performing an Archive & Install?
If not, a "genius" he ain't.
The mbox filing structure used with Tiger Mail is significantly different than the mbox filing structure used with previous Mail.app versions under Jaguar and Panther.
Tiger Mail stores each message contained in a mailbox as a separate file in .emix format located within the Messages folder for the mailbox. Although you can import Jaguar and Panther mailboxes to Tiger, the mbox format used with Tiger Mail is not backwards compatible or interchangeable with Jaguar or Panther Mail without taking an additional step first. The reason you are seeing the old messages available before and up until the time you upgraded to Tiger is because you didn't delete the left over content package files used by Panther Mail and one of these files contains all messages messages and message attachments which are not automatically deleted after the conversion process to the mbox format used with Tiger Mail is completed.
Using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Mail > this POP account named folder (named by the user name and incoming mail server for the account). Within the account named folder is there an INBOX.mbox file and/or an INBOX.mbox named folder and the same for the other mailboxes (mboxes) within the account named folder?
Tiger Mail.app mboxes at the Finder level are folders and each folder contains a Messages folder which stores each message contained in the mailbox as a separate file in .emix format.
Jaguar and Panther Mail.app mboxes are .mbox files only, not a folder.
