EREC: Filtering out locked candidate profiles in the quick search fn

Hi,
When a candidate registers in SAP e-Recruiting application, they have two option to set their profile status
i.e. 'Locked' and 'Released'.
Locked - Applicant is inactive or not looking for change. So when recruiter does a search, they won't see 'Locked' profiles.
The requirement is that for the quicksearch option the the locked profiles need to be filtered out.
I have tried implementing the BADI - HRRCF00_SEARCH_HIDDEN_INFO method RETRIEVE_HIDDEN_INFORMATION( )
by populating et_hidden_info table for iv_search_task EQ 'quicksearch'. It gives a syntax error "The syntax of your entries in the full text search is incorrect ".
Is there a way for the locked profiles to be filtered out inorder that recruiters don't see the locked candidate profiles?

I have verfied if the correction mentioned in the sap note you've mentioned has been incorporated in the system, and I observe that it has been modified per the note.
I have already added the TREX attributes as below:
ls_hidden_info-ses_attr_name = me->gc_hidden_info_cand_status. ('hidden_info.candidate_status.key')
ls_hidden_info-ses_attr_value = me->gc_cand_status_released. ('RELEASED')
for the iv_search_task EQ 'quicksearch' and appended it to the exp. internal table et_hidden_info.
After this am getting the error message 'The syntax of your entries in the full text search is incorrect'.

That's the reason that i say to be carefull when you are going to install any application/game.Try to restore your phone's original settings.
Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone mgmt.> Factory Settings > Yes > Enter the security/lock code and OK.(the Nokia's default security/lock code is 12345)
Uninstall this application/game before do this!

Assigned To column not working in the quick search of a list

Hi, I have a list where we have a column called Assigned To, but it is a single line of text column type. Search is working since I am able to find other values in the list.
Now, when using the quick search, it is not working or showing results in this column.
Could this be related that this column is a manage metadata column type as default in SharePoint?
I have created a new list with this value but, as person column type and it is not working either.
Any ideas?

Hi Javi,
Please check and make sure your custom "Managed Property" map to the crowed property generated by managed metadata column, and set the manged property as "Searchable" then start an incremental crawl or full crawl.
For "Assigned To" column(e.g. crawled property should be "ows_Assigned_x0020_To"), I enabled the "Searchable" option for the manged property, then start an incremental crawl, and then search the
user in "Find an item" and it worked, you can try.

How do I disable the "Quick Search" feature?

I don't need or want the Quick Search function on Firefox. Simply deleting the Quick Search bookmarks folder doesn't get rid of it because it automatically reappears as soon as I restart Firefox. How do I disable this feature altogether?

Here's what worked for me.
Right click in the toolbar area to get the toolbar customization menu. That is, right click just to the right of the "Help" button on the Menu Bar.
You'll see:
Menu Bar,
Navigation Toolbar,
Bookmarks Toolbar
These three may or may not have check marks, but you want to click on the fourth item, below the line, "customize".
Left click the customize button and the "customize toolbar" window appears. Click and hold the "quick search" and drag it into the customize window and release. Quick search should settle itself into the customize toolbar window, patiently waiting if you ever decide you might want it again. : )

How to delete candidate profiles from e-recruitment

Hello Praveen,
some time ago SAP delivered a solution to delete eRec data based on the information lifecycle management (ILM) within a bigger renewal of data deletion for SAP HR. This is the state of the art approach on data deletion for eRec. The best place to start with this topic should be note 1634262 which contains several documents on the topic. Furthermore it documents that using the ILM for this case is included in the standard ERP license so you do not have extra costs.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

How do I turn off the Firefox search on my Android phone?

I have gone to default applications and Firefox is not listed there but still the quick search shows up every time after I press the home button, when I'm not even searching for anything. Then it's like it is stuck because I have have to press the home button 20 times to get rid of it. Then it will close and pop up again. Normally, tapping the device home button should switch from Firefox to your device's home screen.
There is a function to show a search box when you tap ''and slide up'' on the home button, or press ''and hold'' the home button, but that wouldn't usually fire just from a straight tap.

How do I enable The Google Quick Search Box feature?

The Google Quick Search Box on the toolbar no longer will search when entered. The search request registers but won't search. I have to go to Google.com in order to use the Google search engine. The quick search was handy and I'd like to have it back. Per Google I need to enable it by clicking on the "wrench", search and enable... but it's not there to enable. HELP!

You can also access the Google Toolbar Options thru Tools > Addons > Extensions - Google Toolbar for Firefox & then right-click that extension and click on Options.

E-Rec 6.0: How to increase the tabs on Candidate Profile

Hello,
I'm trying to find out how to increase the tabs that we see on Candidate Profile. In any clients, only 5 tabs are visible on the profile and for more, the candidate clicks on next to view other tabs and then submit the profile. I searched for all configuration tables and code but could not find any.
I appreciate if anyone could share this info if they know how to do this.

Hi,
You can configure the tabs at Technical Settings->User interfaces->Setting for BSP->Flexibilization->Container Sequences.
if you want to add one tab, you have to define one element for container sequence and then assign it to the container of candidate profile at Modify Container Sequence.

Lock Out "Edit my Profile" Functionality

We have custom guest users that we need this functionality locked out completely and not obscurely. Of course we tried the suppression of the top bar already, but, its is still fairly possible for "creative" users to stumble upon the HTTP request parameter for it "in_hi_space=ProfileSettings", so we need these custom users to get locked out completely that even if they typed that request parameter in, they would be presented a login page or error since they do not have activity access to this piece of functionality. Problem is, by default, even these "custom" guest users are part of the "Everyone" group, and this group has this activity right by default. When we tried to remove it, we get the error in the page that states "...Group is locked, cannot apply any changes..." or something to that effect. Does anyone know some techniques in UI mod we can use to get around this problem with the "Everyone" activity rights modifications?

Hi Ray,
Which version of the portal are you running? You should be able to remove the Edit Own Profile activity right from the Everyone group. If you are getting errors saying that it is locked, try going to the "Release Item Locks" utility and see if you can unlock the group from there. Then remove the activity right from the group.
Once you have that done, I would recommend creating a new group that is equivalent to the Everyone group, minus the custom guest user. Then re-add the activity right to this new group, so that everyone else can still edit their own profiles. What this will do is remove the Edit User Profile link from the My Account page for the custom guest user.
However, as you mentioned, a malicious user could figure out the URL and go to the editor directly. This is a bug and will be fixed in the next release. If you need to prevent users from such access to the editor, it will require you to customize the UserProfileEditorModel to check for the activity right when the editor first starts.
Another option is to remove Read rights for the custom guest user from each Property's ACL. The guest user will still be able to get to the editor, but because he doesn't have Read rights, he won't be able to edit anything. The only other thing is that he won't be able to View User Profile. But I'm guessing that since it's a guest user, there won't be much useful profile information anyways, right?

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

In a word, no.
If you notice someone that you are allowing to use your iPhone perusing through your email account mailboxes without your knowledge or permission, that should be the last time they are allowed to do so.
There is no app that provides for this and there won't be one. 3rd party apps do not have access to Apple private APIs for the iPhone.
