Error 10401 when switching to a new DAQ Card

Hello,
I am running LabVIEW 7.1. Initially the computer had a PCI-6024E DAQ card installed with Traditional NI-DAQ 7.2 and NI-DAQmx 7.2. The card worked fine.
Recently I replaced the 6024E with a PCI-6225 DAQ card and it was not recognized by MAX. I then downloaded a newer version of DAQmx, 8.6.1 (I chose this because it is compatible both with the new 6225 and also the old version of LabVIEW, 7.1). Once I installed this, MAX recognized the 6225 and it passed all of the MAX tests, so I think the hardware is fine. However, when I run I get an error 10401. I then removed the 6225 and replaced it with the 6024E again, and the old card still works fine.
With the 6225, the error 10401 occurs in 2 different subVI’s. I've attached a screenshot of the error and the subVI "DIO Port Config" where it occurs. The other subVI where there is the same error is "AI Group Config".
I have a guess for why the error 10401 is occurring. I read on this forum that these two subVIs are Traditional DAQ subVIs, which can't be used if the board (6225) is setup to use DAQmx. Is this true?
In addition to the error screen shot, I've attached a screen shot of MAX with the old card and a screen shot with the new card. You can see that the 6024 is setup to use the Traditional DAQ, but the 6225 uses the DAQmx. If the code is written using Traditional DAQ functions therefore it makes sense that there would be errors with the new card. When installing DAQmx 8.6.1 I was told that "a newer version of Traditional DAQ was suggested". MAX shows that my Traditional NI-DAQ is version 7.2. Recall this was also the version of DAQmx I had prior to installation of 8.6.1.
Could installing an updated version of the Traditional NI-DAQ and then setting up the 6225 to use this instead of the DAQmx remove these errors? If this is a solution, does the 6225 support Traditional DAQ?

It takes a little getting used to if you have never done anything but Traditional. I find that it is easier after using it for a few years now. It may be a bit of work depending on how complicated your code is. If you need help we can point you in the right direction. Look at the examples and work from there.

In our case, we are using the multiTaskFlow concept to dynamically start new TaskFlows in Tabs. The simple requirement is to have a generic way to inform users on modified unsaved data when switching or starting new TaskFlow
I did research in google for answers, but did not found anything working.

its for when you leave a view, not when you switch task flows in a page. To get back to your question, one thing you forgot to mention is what data control state is it that the task flows have: shared or isolated? If they have a shared state then only a single transaction is on and you should be able to tell the dirty state by calling

Error 10401 when running LabView

To start, I am using a PCI 6032E, SC-2345, SCC-SG04, and load cell as my means of DAQ. I have configured a VI for this both in traditional and DAQmx using the example on this site. I can also run a test in MAX and if I push on the load cell, the reading changes. However, when I try to run the strain.vi LabView program found on this site, I get an error 10401. I tried closing the programs and opening them again, but I still get the error. I even have tried restarting the computer, but I still receive the error. Any suggestions? Thanks.

After looking at the program I think I might know why you were receiving the 10401 error with the program. By default, the program doesn't give a channel to acquire from. The array of channels is empty (grayed out) initially and you will get the 10401 error until to enter a channel number or select a virtual channel.
With regards to the new problem, what OS do you have? If you have Windows 2000/XP, then here is what I would try. Go to the device manager in Windows and choose to uninstall the device. Then go into MAX and refresh (press F5) and make sure that the device doesn't appear in Traditional NI-DAQ folder (you may have to delete the device in NI-DAQmx). Close MAX. Then, go back to the device manager and choose Action>>Scan for hardw
are changes and let Windows reinstall the device. Now, go to MAX and test the device in Traditional NI-DAQ and NI-DAQmx.

When I choose products and get a total that has decimals as for example 12,13 I do get the error shown beneath. If the total ens up with no decimals as for example 95,00 the system works ok. How to fix this error. Anybody that has an idea?

Error statement when syncing to install new apps

I have purchases a number of new apps after updating my 32 gig iTouch to version 2.0. When I run a sync in order to install the new apps I have received on a couple of occasions an error statement indicating that an app has not been installed. When I run the sync again it has always run without a problem. I cant's remember the exact wording of the Error Statement but I seem to remember that it said it was of unknown cause. Has anyone else seen this statement or have any idea what is going on?

Check for hardware issues
Related errors: 1, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1000, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
These errors mean that your device or computer may have a hardware issue that's preventing the update or restore from completing.
Check that your security software and settings aren't preventing your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Confirm that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

Error -10401 when running example

I have a PCI-6071E and I'm trying to run the AO and AI examples. I keep getting error -10401, but I've configured the board and checked the device number. Any ideas?

Hi Erin,
The best place to begin troubleshooting this issue is in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). The first thing you should do is reset the traditional NI-DAQ driver. If you open MAX and go to devices and interfaces>>Traditional NI-DAQ devices>>right click and select "reset traditional NI-DAQ driver."
Also from there you can select your card and run a test panels. If the test panels works, then you will be able to run the examples in LabVIEW.
If the test panels will not acquire any data or give you an error, then do the following: delete the card in MAX, turn off your computer, remove and replace the card in the computer, and re-install the card.

Pci to pci bridge error code 35 after installing my new graphics card

hello everyone
first of all i am not sure if in the right section of the forum to post this...if not i am sorry.
well about my problem...i ve bought this new graphics card msi geforce gt430 and a new psu which is 580 watt and yesterday i installed em both.and then i turned on my pc. the thing is windows cant detect my grsphics card.there is this yellow exclamation mark on pci standard pci to pci bridge in device manager menu.i tried uninstalling pci to pci bridges and rebooting my pc.it didnt help.i also tried updating every single driver again nothing changed.i also have one of the latest bios so i dont think it should be related to bios.i have no idea how to fix this.i am a little bit ignorant when it comes to pc hardware.i can use all the help i can get.

Pci2pci is a motherboard thing but could interfere with gfx detection.
I know you said you'd reinstalled all drivers but...
Did you get the latest drivers for your motherboard?
If that doesn't fix it I guess the next step would be a complete OS reinstall...

Error -17600 when switching from LabVIEW Development System to LabVIEW Run-Time Engine in Adapter Configuration

I receive an error message (code -17600) while loading my test sequence after switching from LabVIEW Development System (2009 f3) to LabVIEW Run-TIme Engine using the Adapter Configuration.
ErrorCode: -17600,
Failed to load a required step's associated module.
LabVIEW Run-Time Engine version 9.0.1f3.
When I switch back to the LV development system, everything is OK, and the sequence loads and runs perfectly.
My TestStand Engine Version is 2012 f1 (5.0.0.262).
I'd appreciate any help on this issue.

Hi Roman,
There are a couple of things you can try:
1) Determine if the LabVIEW RunTime Engine is corrupted in some way. Create a new simple VI with no sub-VIs, using the same LabVIEW Development system you used for mass-compiling the VIs. Create a TestStand step that calls this VI and ensure it runs correctly. Now switch your LabVIEW adapter to use the RuntimeEngine and choose the "Auto detect using VI version" option.
Check if the simple VI is loadable and runs without errors in TestStand.
If the step generates the same error, you should try a re-install of the LabVIEW development system.
If not, its most likely that there is some VI you are using that is not loadable in the LabVIEW Runtime Engine because:
1) Some sub-VI is still not saved in the right version or bitness. Open the VI heirarchy of the top-level VI that you are calling from TestStand and examine the paths of all the sub-VIs to check if they were in the folder you masscompiled and re-save any that are outside this directory.
Also, when you try to close the top level VI, do you get a prompt to save any unsaved files? If so, they could be the sub-VIs that are not saved in the right version. Save all of them.
Check if you are loading any VIs programatically and if these are compiled and saved in the right version as well.
2) There is some feature you are using in your LabVIEW code that is not supported in the LabVIEW RunTime Engine. To check this, add your top-level VI to a LabVIEW project and create a new build specification and create a new executable from this VI.
    Right-click "Build Specifications" and choose "New->Application(EXE)".
    In the Application Properties window, select Source Files and choose the top level VI as the start-up VI.
    Save the properties.
    Right-click on the newly created build specification and choose Build.
Run this executable (it will be run using the LabVIEW RunTime) and check if the VI has a broken arrow indicating that it cannot be loaded and run in the LabVIEW Runtime Engine.
You might need to examine your code and find the feature which is not supported in the LabVIEW RunTime and find an alternative.
Another thing i forgot to mention the last time around is if you are using 64-bit LabVIEW with 32-bit TestStand, then executing code using LabVIEW RTE from TestStand will not work since the 64-bit LabVIEW RTE dll cannot be loaded by the 32-bit TestStand process.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider sharing your LabVIEW code so i can take a look.

User gets error message when logging into a new pc "Outlook is using anold copy of your .ost"

We have a user who needs to login to multiple pc's. When she logs into a new pc and opens Outlook she gets the error.
"Outlook is using an old copy of your Outlook data fuile (.ost). Exit Outlook, delete the file, and restart Outlook. Anew file will automatically be created the next time you initiate a send/receive."
We manually delete the file and a new one is created but we would like to find a better resolution to this issue. Also we have just recently migrated to O365. any help with finding a better resolution would be appreciated. Thanks.

Also had multiple issues downloading Toy Story. Anyone know of a fix? Specific error is:
