Error 1445 - doesnt occur on all servers

Hi guys,
i have a rather long request that results in this error:
RA-01445: "cannot select ROWID from, or sample, a join view without a key-preserved table"
When the select columns are replaced with count(*), it wont give the error.
The error seems to match the case exposed in this thread: http://www.orafaq.com/forum/?t=msg&th=11983/0/ (asadri's answer), as the request has more than 7 joins.
Also, the server version is
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.2.0 - 64bi
PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.2.0 - Production
"CORE 10.2.0.2.0 Production"
TNS for Linux IA64: Version 10.2.0.2.0 - Production
NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.2.0 - Production
The weird thing is that the error will occur only on the test server, not the production one. Of course, both servers have the same oracle version, and the data are often replicated from prod to test.
What kind of server difference can give that kind of error?

From the error message, I think that the ENDECA_ROOT environment variable is not set on the MDEX server in question. The emgr_update utility is located inside $ENDECA_ROOT\bin (or %ENDECA_ROOT%\bin on Windows) so this would seem to make sense with your error message. You should be able to set it, export it and re-run. Note that you'll want to make the setting of this environment variable "persistent" by placing the commands in init.d or something similar, depending on how your organization runs your Linux servers.
Also, I agree with Frank, this should really be in the other forum as I imagine others will run into this issue from time to time. If this works, please "cross-post" over there.

DFSR replication stopped between sites after all servers updated (Event 1202)

I'm afraid, i will greatly appreciate any help on this one.
I'm working on it since 2 days without success (I read many thread without help).
So the fact:
I have 2 AD (2008 R2) on site 1 and 2 AD (2008 R2) on site 2.
I have also 2 files servers (2008) on site 1 and 2 files servers (2008 R2) on site 2.
The files servers run DFS system.
DFS Namespace is host on all AD.
DFS Replication and share are on all files servers.
After update all my servers. I got a big problem.
Communication between files servers and AD of site 2 isn't working properly now.
By this fact, DFSR is not working anymore between site 1 (all seem fine on this site) and site 2.
DFSR on site 2, pop this events all time:
Event 1202 - Source DFSR
The DFS Replication service failed to contact domain controller to access configuration information. Replication is stopped. The service will try again during the next configuration polling cycle, which will occur in 60 minutes. This event can be caused
by TCP/IP connectivity, firewall, Active Directory Domain Services, or DNS issues.
Additional Information:
Error: 160 (One or more arguments are not correct.)

The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows could not resolve the computer name. This could be caused by one of more of the following:
a) Name Resolution failure on the current domain controller.

I don't have issue with DNS (nslookup work fine).
Firewall are disable on all servers.

Oracle EPM Planning 11.1.2.1 - Ziplogs utility not working on all servers
We have Planning 11.1.2.1 distributed so that Planning web app, EAS etc. are on own webservers and Essbase is on separate cluster.
Currently we have an issue with ziplogs utility - it seems to work on Essbase servers gathering all necessary ODL logs for over 100MBs, but on Planning Webservers ziplogs utility seems to start, but generates only empty 1kb zip file without any content.
We haven't touched logging otherwise, everything should be pretty much in original state.
Unfortunately I can't remember now exactly, but I have a a hunch that ziplogs utility worked prior patching Planning element on webservers to 11.1.2.1.600.
Other servers or elements haven't been patched (although Oracle recommends also FS, EB etc. to be patched to 11.1.2.1.600). I'm wondering, could this be the reason as in a way FS and EB are on same patching level whereas Planning is not?
Also, there seems to be a bit of limited diskspace on webservers (still waiting for extension), but I would imagine lack of diskspace for preparing any temp files etc. would results in some errors, the problem is that ziplogs doesn't give any errors, just runs very short time and then ends bringing 1kb empty file.
Has anyone experienced anything similar and are you perhaps able to give quick guidance how to enhance or modify ziplogs batch file etc. to make it create a bit of logging of its own actions?

Okay, I was able to get it installed and Common Components installed correctly this time. I still can't access workspace though.

I am Shanmugavel, SharePoint developer,
I am facing the below SharePoint 2013 deployment issue while deploying using VS2012.
If i will deploy the same wsp or existing wsp
(last build) using direct powershell deployment, the solution adding properly, but the same timeout exception coming while activation the features. Please find the below error.
I tried the below activists:
1. Restarted my dev server, DB server.
2. tried the same solution id different server
3. tried existing wsp file (last build version)
4. Deactivated all the features, including project Active deployment configuration.... but still i am facing the same issue.
I hope this is not coding level issue, because still my code is not start running, before that some problem coming.

What you need to understand is the installation of a WSP does not do much. It just makes sure that you relevant solution files are deployed to the SharePoint farm.
Next comes the point when you activate the features. It is when the code which you have written to "Activate" certain features for your custom solution.
Regarding the error you are getting, it typically means that you have more connections (default is I guess 100) open for a SQL database then you are allowed to.
If you have a custom database and you are opening a connection, make sure you close it as well.
Look at the similar discussion here:

If you have a external USB enclosure - trying installing your hard drive in that enclosure and connect it to your usb port - restart your macbook while holding down the options key. If you Macbook boots to your desktop then you have a faulty cable. If you get the same error, then your hard drive just died on you.

I used this in a two state monitor I created in our SCOM 2012 environment. For starters it runs every 2 minutes, it's enabled, monitor target is Windows Server 2008 Operating System, it's set to generate alerts on warning, the Unhealthy expression is:
Property[@Name='State'] Equals BAD
And the Healthy Expression is:
Property[@Name='State'] Equals GOOD
Unfortunately I'm getting no alerts at all. And I dont think I have any way of seeing if it's actually discovering all the services? AND I have no previous experience with vb scripting, but do have some powershell experience.
Any suggestions on how to get this up and running please?

Hi All,
I was trying to access oracle applications. I installated R12 on Linux through VM Ware. I started Database Listener , Database and Finally Application Tier using adstrtal.sh. Every thing went fine with exit status as zero. I installed mozillla firefox and jre 1.6.0_07 but when I gave URL and tried to access applications i was getting 500 Internal server error.
Below is the error

I've a situation that, we have to add some pages into the APPS environment. For that, what we generally do is,
1. Stop the Apache server.
2. Add the pages.
3. Start the Apache server again
And it should start.
But, In our case it's giving an internal server error.
And as we run autoconfig its working fine.But as it is a test server, we've got to add the pages several times. Each and every time we add pages we have to run autoconfig.
our environment is
OS: IBM AIX 6
APPS: release 11.5.10.2
we can't understand what the problem is!!!
Is the there any solution for that?
Please do suggest, if any one experienced the same...

I've tried all articles so far on apple support site. Tried on new OS user and publishing to folder and publishing a test page. I still get an error. Publishing to folder works fine, its just when I publish to MobileMe. Also tried different network and restarting computer etc.

If you are logged in OK maybe you should look at your Keychain.
Finer/Go/Utilities/Keychain Access.app.
Try "Keychain First Aid" from the "Keychain Access" drop down menu.

Parameter is not identified identically on all servers

Hi,
We are facing an issue while setting the value of a parameter.
Our system has 1 central instance and 3 application servers.
We are trying to reset the value of a parameter in DEFAULT profile but after resetting, when we try to save the changes, we get the following error:
E:login/failed_user_auto_unlock is not identified identically on all servers
E:login/failed_user_auto_unlock ( 0 ) on server <central instance>
E:login/failed_user_auto_unlock ( 1 ) on server <app server1>
E:login/failed_user_auto_unlock ( 1 ) on server <app server2>

The parameter doesnot exist on the servers but still we are getting this error.
We tried to delete the parameter from DEFAULT profile, set it individally on all servers and save changes but still we are getting the same error.
Can anyone suggest any solution to this please.

We have reset the parameter on another system also. We can see the changes been reflected and we are planning a system downtime coming weekend.
But in this system, we are getting the error before we are trying to activate, i.e, while we are trying to save the changes.

While switching to double check this I just saw that this also happens in this very window in wich i am typing my question now. If i copy and paste this text to for example notepad or anything else, it shows up like normal text.

This issue can be caused by the bitmap version of the Helvetica or Geneva font or another (bitmap) font that can't be displayed by Firefox in that font size.
Firefox can't display that font in the specified size and displays gibberish instead.
You can test that by zooming out (View > Zoom > Zoom Out, Ctrl -) to make the text smaller.
Uninstall (remove) all variants of that not working font to make Firefox use another font or find a True type version of that font that doesn't have the problem.

cannot install this hardware error occured during this installation of the device the specified module could not be found
local printer trying to connect with usb. just purchased the printers.
Tried:
loading hp dectect to detect printer, can not detect it
loaded diagnostic says nothing is wrong
loaded drivers form hp website
if i go into device manager the comptuers does see the printer there, with a ! next to it saying drivers are not loaded, but cant get the drivers to load.
as the instructions say in the book received with the printer. to troubleshoot do this... which I did, uninstalled rebooted, removed cd and unplug usb, loaded software then pluged in usb and still get same error, cannot install this hardware error occured during this installation of the device the specified module could not be found..

I also just bought a 4630 and have the same problem (Windows XP) BUT after finally figuring out how to enter numbers on the key pad I was able to get the device to recognize and accept my wireless connection HOWEVER when attempting to print the software claims it could not communicate with the printer BUT the printer worked just fine and I was able to get at least 8 pages of high quality text.
So, it looks as though HP is SNAFU, the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.
I'll keep playing with the software to see if I can clean up this mess.

I am trying to load any 9.0.3 firmware on my UCM 5.0.4.2000-1 server. Every newer firmware I load throws the following error. I have verified the MD5 is correct and also downloaded the file several times with the same result. I can load the same firmware file on another UCM server and it loads fine. Any ideas?

Thanks for your reply. We have a lab environment where I maintain UCM 5.0, 5.1, 6.0, 6.1, 7.0, 7.1 and 8.0 servers each running the latest released firmware for our QA testing team. I have downloaded and installed the latest device packages but find that if I try to install any firmware newer then 8.3.1 on either 5.0.4 or 6.0 i start getting MD5 hash authentication errors. It looks like 9.0.3 firmware should work on UCM 5.0 and 6.0 so I am lost as to why I can't seem to update any firmware for any model phone if it is newer then version 8.3.1 on either 5.0 or 6.0. while 5.1 and 6.1 work without issues. Maybe it is just a bug. I mostly wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this or if it is just me.
