Error 18 creating virtual circuit

I am get the "error 18 creating virtual circuit" it is happening about 10 or 12 times then goes a way. I assume that I am running out of a resource, but which one?

This is on a 9i 9.2.0.4 with the security patches.

Error in Creating virtual tables

Hi
I get back a SQL error (SQL Statement not properly ended) in the case of Oracle for the following query. Is it not possible to create virtual tables in Oracle. I work on Oracle 9i

Here i use the alias following the column name itself. But is it not possible to have the aliases with the virtual table name (i.e NETEMP5(KeyCol0,Member0,Ord1) ) this works fine on MSSQL & db2

Errors in Creating Virtual Channel

I am creating a IVI switch driver. The driver passes the IVI Specific Driver Suite 2.2 and IVI Switch SFP testing. When I try to create the virtual channel the device is found (created IVI Logical Name and other fileds) but the channels displayed are empty on the Channels/Exclusion tab. What calls are made when creating the virtual channel? I want to create a CVI or TestStand program to simulate the sequence that Switch Executive performs.
When validating a configuration, are all possible channels used in SetPath loop? As an example, if three channels are defined (Front, rear, & base) but only the front->base, rear->base, base->front and base->rear are valid configurations. Will the vaildate try a front->rear configuration? Will a disconnect call be placed in between each SetPath call?

Although you cannot step through the NISE engine, you can step through your driver's code and debug its behavior. If you have problems with importing IVI virtual name into switch executive virtual device, then what you need to do is select nimax.exe as the process to debug and run it with the debug version of your driver. If you were using CVI, you can set the external process under Run>>Select External Process. If you're using MSVC, you can choose "open project" and browse to nimax.exe and then add symbols for your driver DLL in the project settings.
The entry points to monitor (for your particular problem) are the ones that deal with getting the number of channels and getting individual channel names and their attributes. Make sure that your driver returns the correct number of channels and that it also returns all these channel names correctly. If you see no error in switch executive (I.e. it just says OK after you import your ivi logical name), then my guess is that your driver returns 0 for the number of channels.
Please be aware that switch executive exercises much more than any of the IVI clients you mentioned. Yet it does not go "through the back door" for anything, it (obviously) uses public entry points in the driver to perform what it needs to do.
So, you can start by setting up debug project in your favourite environment, and check the behavior of the following functions in your driver:
getting the IVISWTCH_ATTR_CHANNEL_COUNT attribute
IviSwtch_GetChannelName (with your prefix, of course)
and see if those work. My guess is that something is not working correctly between these two functions.

Error While Creating Windows Server 2008 SP2 32-BIT Virtual Machine

I am facing an error while creating a Virtual Machine on the Cloud. The Error is below:
Error (610)
Virtual Machine Manager was unable to find a value for the required Sysprep parameter ProductKey.
Recommended Action
Add the missing Sysprep parameter either to the answer file or to the operating system configuration, and then try the operation again.
My Template does not have the Product Key defined. The OS is Windows Server 2008 SP2 32-BIT. Is defining Product Key absolutely necessary? I have other Templates for other Operating Systems and they are working fine. Only facing problem
with this.
Any help would be appreciated.

In the SCVMM world a 'template' is composed of the following: a VHD with an OS that has been generalized (sysprep), virtual hardware profile (settings), and an OS profile.
The OS profile is required to have a product key. A MAC activation key at the minimum. But the key is required.
If you deploy a VM from a VHD, the same customization assumptions are not at play. Which is why it succeeds. (there is no template in this case, there is also no requirement that the OS in the VHD be sysprep'd).
SCVMM has rules. And lots of things don't make sense until you begin to understand them and play within them. (I am not saying that the SCVMM rules are a good thing, just saying they exist)

I am getting the following error while creating a setup package.
0010 tc.mobile.admin.bl Creation of virtual mi instance failed.
Please suggest what can be the reason for the same.
Also i have certain queries while creating a setup package for Mobile 2005 device.
1.While creating a SDA file in the Operating System tab i m not able to see any option for mobile 2005 device.It shows only WINCE/PPC 2002.Can i use this one or do we have to make some settings or something.
2.I have a MI25Tom_en.CAB file for Mobile framework.But i wanted to integrate it with the trustore and some mobileengine config parameters like syncpassword handling option = loca.What i have to do for the same.If i have a cab file with all these integratd can i use that one or server will by itself put the trustore while generating a SDA file.
3.We have to create two components one for Framework and second for install sequence amd we have to install onle creme on the PDA as i read somewhere.Do i need to put JSSE1-0-3_01.CAB somewhere while defining the mobile component or JSSE also i have to install on the PDA before running the setup.cab on PDA.

Hi Devendra,
If you have downloaded Framework sda from SAP market place.
Then generally the name for the MobileComponent is MobileEngineJsp or AWT.
You can also check the name of MobileComponent in MCD.xml by opening sda->mobile-description->mcd.xml.
Search with this name and version in NWA , if search fails then there is some problem with reload or deployment process.
Check the following.
Login to the ABAP system.
Launch transaction sm59. Create new TCP/IP type RFC connection.
Enter some name for the RFC destination. Give program ID = MEMGMT_MOBILE_CONTAINER_SYNC.
Enter appropriate gateway service and host (same as you entered in Visual Admin). Test Connection.
Launch transaction sm30.
Open table MEMGMT_J2EE_DEST . Create a new entry. Enter the name of RFC destination that you created in SM59 in RFC Destination field. Enter some description.
Save the data.

compare the GLOBAL HOSTNAME settings in profiles of Default,Instance and start

Error While create web application

When I try to create new web application on my server it return error as the Virtual directory already in use. For example if I create the web application in 9090 port means it shown the error the virtual directory 9090 was already used by other application
. but I am sure there are no site in the directory. I am try with 3 or 4 different port same problem. I have try to create web application with host header and without host header also same problem was occur.

Hi Ravin,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you create a new web application.
Please log on the server with administrator account.
And please check the followings:
Ensure you have a proper dns name / entry in the hosts file of your server for the new url you are wanting to create.
Ensure you have typed in the ‘host header’ typed in when creating the new web application.
If this doesnt work, open IIS Manager – Start>run> inetmgr> and verify the home directory – it could be located on a different drive.

Ovmapi_4004e server failed error while creating a PVM from FTP network pat

Hi,
I'm trying to create a PVM on OVM 3.0.3 using an ftp server to use an ISO for a Linux 5 installation.
In the create virtual machine wizard for the network path (in boot options) I am specifying:
ftp://oracle:[email protected]/home/oracle/iso/OEL56/
The above link opens up in a browser and I can see the mounted iso.
I mounted the iso as:
cd /home/oracle
mkdir /iso/OEL56/
mount -o ro,loop /ovm_iso/linux/Enterprise-R5-U6-Server-x86_64-dvd.iso /home/oracle/iso/OEL56/
But Starting the VM fails with "ovmapi_4004e server failed" and "Boot loader didn't return any data". I'm assuming it can't read from the iso during boot.
Is there anything wrong with the ftp path . Are non-anonymous ftp users (oracle in this case) allowed or do I need to use anonymous logon.

Hi ,
I went a step further by using anyonymous ftp in the network path . (rather than user : password) and the VM started .
The VM boots OK from the staged iso (also tried full DVD contents) and brings up linux installation in text mode only , but for ftp installation mode after asking for the ftp server and directory (which it doesn't take on first attempt) it gives an error "Unable to read package metadata . This may be due to a missing repository directory. Please ensure your install tree has been correctly generated" . It seems its not finding the ftp directory path , although initially it was able to boot from the same ftp path specified in the Network path of the VM configuration wizard.

Error while Creating Charm Project

I am configuring CHARM Sol 7.1 SP11.
TMS landscape is as follows
DEV100-->QAS200-->PRD300 (QAS & PRD as Virtual systems). we have created virtual systems and flagged as a virtual system in smsy.
I have created the project in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN and assigned the logical components.
While performing the CHECK under Change Management tab in Check TMS domains "RFC destination Cannot be determined"
Any pointers on how to resolve this?

Before you start with activating CHARM it is important that you create a transport link from the Solution Manager to the ABAP managed system domain controller. Once this is done, your Solution Manager is able to retrieve the TMS information from the transport domain controller.
To create a trasport link, open transaction STMS on the Solution Manager and link with the ABAP target system via a trusted RFC.
You will then not receive the error messages in TMS anymore.

You don't "store" anything in contribution folders. They are just webdav access points. I recommend zero folders personally.
If you want to upload files using webdav, then I suggest using one staging folder, where files can enter the system. When the document is workflowed and/or verified, it is moved out of the folder. It's more likely however that you'll need a few access points for various types of content as each folder enforces specific metadata.
Now I imagine you are after a way to store all the HR bits and pieces of one person together as a unit. Some people use Content Folios. Personally, I'd just use a metadata field that contains the ContentID of the person's master record. Any new content for that person just gets the master ContentID stamped on it. Just search for that ContentID to get all their stuff.
Regarding best practices, there are lots of quality blogs floating around. Stellent/Oracle don't talk about best practice because each system is used by their clients in a unique way... well, that's what they say.

Windows server 2012 failover cluster error: Cluster resource 'Virtual Machine Configuration ... of type 'Virtual machine configuration in clustered role ... failed.

I have two windows 2012 host server that are clustered using windows failover cluster feature. Each server is hosting four VMs. When migrating from Host2 to Host1, the migration failed with the following error:
Cluster resource 'Virtual Machine Configuration SCPCSQLSRV01' of type 'Virtual Machine Configuration' in clustered role 'SCPCSQLSRV01' failed. The error code was '0x569' ('Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.').
When this happens, the VM that I was migrating can no longer be started even on the original host. The only remedy is to restart the host server.
Any suggestion on resolving this problem?

Thanks. The article referred to above gives the solution to my issue. There is a group policy that is applied to the OU where the host servers were placed. Doing gpupdate /force temporarily removes the problem. Unfortunately the NT Virtual Machine\Virtual
Machines account is a special account that cannot be added like other accounts and granted the log on as a service right. The thread

Hello Folks
I am completely stuck with the configuration of my virtual networks. I have one logical switch left to add to one of my Hyper-V 2012 R2 hosts when I started getting the error below when I try to add logical switches to either Hyper-V Host. I have been using
the document. 'Hybrid Cloud with NVGRE (Cloud OS)' to implement the virtual networking. Basically using the exact configuration that is in the document. I have added the PA Logical Network and the Network adapters and added the logical switch for it to my
hyper-v 2012 R2 host and everything was fine. I am now trying to add my ISCSI Logical Switch to the host and this is the error I get. My other Hyper-V host I get this error for any logical switch I am trying to add. Can someone help me with this error. I haven't
been able to find any information about it.
Also a some quick info on tracing an error like this so I can figure out what is causing it.

notice your GUID? you may want to consider ensuring that is the same GUID associated in your database. Sometimes during data corruption theres a smidge of a chance your sql database kind of either pulls old guids esp if this was reverted to snapshot
without it being powered off etc.
I would try that first. then i would consider if you get to configure that with your current liscense associated with the host. I would need way more info to help any further
