Error 7 (windows 127) now random windows error

iTunes prompted me to delete it when it was due for an update so i deleted it and tried to re-install it with the update and it started saying error 7 (windows 127) so i followed the inforamtion on here about that but now it comes up with this:

I've tried resetting safari, deleting all webpage data and setting time/date to automatic, but no such luck.
The message that comes up is: "Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server 'Facebook' "

Might be a cookies, cache, or extensions issue.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that doesn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

Myself and my partner had a iphones. Since the recent software update he now randomly receives texts from my contacts and also when im sending texts. Is this because we share the same apple id. This didnt happen before the software update.

You can both share the same Apple ID for purchases but i suggest one of you use another email for the use of iMessage, Facetime etc.
It is easy to do, the easiest way is to set up an iCloud email directly from your iPhone. Once set up one of you will use this for iCloud services but both still use the existing Apple ID to make purchases.

Sleep - won't wake up, and now randomly goes off to sleep

Since the recent security update, my 1.67 G4 Powerbook has been experiencing problems with sleep. Sometimes it won't wake from sleep, forcing me to hard reboot or pull all power out, and now it's randomly falling into sleep when it shouldn't.
The issue is progressive - it will sleep, then I wake it, then it goes down again 2-3 minutes later, wake, then seconds, wake, then deep somnambulistic slumber.
I read in Macintouch that there was a fix recently for Intel MacBooks and sleep, but some of us in the PPC world are feeling it's effect.
I've reset the pram several times, and on one occasion the fan spun up very loudly on boot, then quieted down after 5 seconds. Might be nothing.
Another factor is the battery - pull the battery and the system behaves better. I wonder if there's a lowered thermal limit that, when the battery is charging, causes the system to shut to sleep...?
Anyone else having this problem? I'm ready to slip back to 10.4.9 to see if that makes it more stable -- this happens several time a day now.

The laptop did keep shutting down into sleep, but - following from a tip from another site - I began trying three things: One or all seem to have resolved the issue:

* I stopped zapping the PRAM when it went to sleep or wouldn't stay awake on boot - I just booted from DVD instead and, lo and behold, the thermal errors didn't occur under the DVD. Fixed permissions and a reboot it often worked fine for hours.
* Running it alternatively from either battery or from mains. Initially under the battery, it would sleep at 70-60%, then - after a few days of being shut down instead of slept - it began running down to 0. I'd have to plug the unit in and charge it whilst off, but now -- after a week of this - everythings back to normal.
Ultimately, I'm sure this software. Something is up - and slowly, if you're patient, you can bring your system back without buying a new case or motherboard.

'09 iMac now randomly stopping with pinwheel for 1/2-1 min

My trusty '09 iMac has started randomly stopping, with pinwheel, for 1/2-1 min. then continuing. Happens from sign-on to internet to opening apps, anytime. Averages every 2-3 min. Other computer, MacAir on network, has no problem. Timemachine backs up to Airport Express tower. Turning off/on has no effect. OS X 10.9.1.

When you next have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

HELP! Imported audio files now randomly out of sync!

I cut a short film a while ago. It was shot on HDV. I used some in-camera audio (from the HDV tapes) but also, some audio files from my sound mixer, which I originally imported as WAV files and manually sunc them up. Everything was fine.
Later, I outgrew the original media drive and upgraded, copying all of my media to the new drive. When I did that, I noticed that all of the camera audio was fine, but all of the audio that had been imported from those WAV files was randomly out of sync -- meaning that some files were 1 sec early, some 16 frames late, etc.
When I broke the link and re-linked to the original drive, all was fine again. Now, however, doing that makes those original files out of sync also.
When I relink these files now, FCP ALWAYS finds a discrepency with them: They supposedly have a different "Media Start and End" and "Rate." Apparently, that's why they're being offset, but they're the EXACT same files that I started with, so what's up?!??
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. They represent A LOT of work to fix one by one.

This is what it says under FORMAT: 24-bit Integer (Little Endian), Mono, 48.000 kHz
Incidentally, this is EXACTLY the same for both the files on the original drive (that play perfectly in sync) and the copied ones that are out of sync.
I realize that FCP likes AIFFs, but WAVs is what my sound guy gave me.
Any other ideas?

After HD crash and reload of both Gmail and Thunderbird using POP mail as before now, randomly some messages on the Gmail server do not move to Thunderbird.

I think it's all said above. Always have used POP mail for moving my Gmail to Thunderbird and it worked flawlessly. Now seemingly random emails rec'd into Gmail server do not move to Thunderbird. Most do, some don't and it seems so random.
I've checked every setting I know of and matched it exactly to the setup I have on another computer set up with the same POP mail/thunderbird setup, which continues to work flawlessly.
Any explanation other than switching to IMAP which I do NOT want to do?

I think I found the solution christ1. I found some help using Thunderbird's Help function and I think the problem was the Google user name I entered while creating the account in Thunderbird. Somehow the user name I entered was just the first part of my Google email address without the @gmail.com. After adding that the problem ceased to occur. I have no idea how/why, but since I did it there has been no more problem. Thanks for your reply.

Went from Mountain Lion to Yosemite on 2009 MacBook Pro. Safari now randomly shuts down; Word doesn't work properly; iPhoto will not upload pics from iPhone; EVERYTHING is horribly slow. How to I go back to Mountain Lion?

Is there a way to go back to Mountain Lion after updating to Yosemite? Yosemite has caused nothing but problems in multiple programs. Mountain Lion ran fine. Not sure why I even updated. I am NOT a computer guru so instructions I have read for the many Yosemite fixes blow my mind. Should I be taking my MacBook Pro to the Genius Bar at the nearest Apple Store (2 hours away)? I have been a Mac user and lover for many years and am SO frustrated and disappointed in all of it right now. Please advise on what a non-tech frustrated Mac user can do.

Technically, you can downgrade if you have the following:
Your computer must be elligible to run Mountain Lion. If your computer came with Mavericks or Yosemite out of the box, you can forget it.
You need an already existing Mountain Lion installer file. If you still have that somewhere, for example in your Applications folder, or anywhere else, it's usable- note that it needs to be originally downloaded with your own Apple ID and password. If you made a Mountain Lion USB installer or DVD back then that would work too. If your Time Machine back-ups go back to the days of Mountain Lion or Lion you could check your Applications folder from inside Time Machine and restore it to your computer.
To not have data loss you need a Time Machine back-up that goes back to when you were still running Mountain Lion. Please note that this will revert your data to exactly the date that you choose. If you installed Mavericks 2 months ago, you will loose 2 months worth of data.

After the IOS7 Upgrade my phone now randomly types.

I have already restored the iphone 5. The screen twitches, the apps randomly open, and phone freezes.

Same issue here. Nothing new will install, nothing will update. The blue circle spins momentarily, then returns to saying "INSTALL" or "UPDATE".

I had adware on my macbook pro 2012 edition. I honestly dont even know how i had it as i never downloaded anything that wasnt a well know software. Anyways, the pop ups were so bad yesterday that i couldnt even use safari, so i just closed my computer and went on with my night. Well a couple of hrs ago I unplugged my wireless router and then plugged it right back in. I have been using my computer for about an hr now and havent had one pop up when I usally get them everywhere other than youtube. Could something as simple as unplugging and then replugging in the wireless router somehow stopped the pop ups? and if it did, then how?

For some reason my Itouch 4 is now randomly downloading games on its own without a password approval. Do u know how this is possible and I can stop it?

I don't know why but sometimes when I open my Itouch I saw about two games already or are on the process of being loaded onto my Itouch and I have never clicked on the app to download them. Could I be that I have an app that is causing this? And how do I stop it?

Go to Settings>Store and see if Automatic Downloads are turned on?
If so the someone is purchasing the apps using your account.
Also, what model iPod do you have? Your profile says iOS 3.0 which would be a previous model

11g R2 wont work under windows 2008 R2 doesnt support UTC, and cant change.

I posted this in error under general, and got no responses. So now Im cutting and pasting it into installation, in a last ditched attemtp to find a way to get a clean installation of oralce on a clean installation of Windows Server 2008 R2 working.
Problem:
1) cannt connect to oracle outside of box. Get "TNS Connection timeout occured"
2) em console "Sepecify Host and Target Database Credentials" always says "Connection refused: connect", even though the OS user/pass and DB user/pass are correct.
What does work:
1) I can "select * from dual" using "sqlplus / as sysdba" from the commandline on the box itself.
2) Once, before I got em console half working, I could connect to the DB from outside the box with SYS as SYSDBA using toad. Now I cant.
How I installed it:
1) created a user called "oracle" and put them in the Administrators group.
2) ran the downloaded installer for enterprise version, partition option chosen, AL32UTF8 char set, global db name: orcl, sid: orcl, "Assert all new security settings on" (No idea what this is) etc.
3) at the end of the installer it came up with the following error:
"Set the environment variable ORACLE_UNQNAME to the database unique name"
3.5) opened up the incomming connections in the windows FW for 1158 and 1521 TCP from all.
4) set ORACLE_UNQNAME as a system env var for oracle as "orcl"
5) set ORACLE_HOME to c:\app\oracle\product\11.2.0 (or should this be c:\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1 ??)
6) set ORACLE_SID to orcl
7) set ORACLE_HOST to dilbert (the machine name)
Rebooted.
8) logged into em console on https:
dilbert:1158 (works from inside or outside the box).

The TZ of the windows server is set to "UTC" at long time ago. There is nothing in the oralce windows installation guide to say "Do not use UTC, the most comon server time zone in europe". There is no mention of supported windows timezones.
Now if Oracle doesnt support basic UTC, then we are all in trouble.
There are hundreds of articles with this problem and how to solve it on Unix, but almost none for Windows. Do we have to solve Oracle installation bugs ourselves? Is there no support?

The list of "supported" timezones in supportedtzs.list only lists UNIX timezones, and NO UTC!!!!!
Googling this turns up nothing - noone on the planet seems to use UTC on their servers. I find this absolutely shocking.
Windows server ONLY users UTC - it doesnt support GMT any more.
So I have to now randomly try timezones in Windows which I dont want, which will be different from all the other servers in the Datacenter. It means all our reports will be out by 1 hour in summer ifI have to chose a timzeone which has daylight savings, compared with all the other databases which are UTC (not daylight savings).
I would expect this from freeware maintained by one person in his garage.
It seems that this Timezone issue emans Oracle will not run on windows.
Tried a lot of things, including setting the timzeonse in windows to be "(UTC) Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London", which unfortuantely is not UTC (as it is affected by daylight savings).
When you run
"emctl config agent getTZ"
you get:
"Europe/London"
The only oracle documentation I can find on this subject tells you to edit the emd.properties, and modify the agentTZRegion property, which doesnt exist.
I tried the following command:

Googling this turns up nothing - noone on the planet seems to use UTC on their servers. I find this absolutely shocking.
Windows server ONLY users UTC - it doesnt support GMT any more.
So I have to now randomly try timezones in Windows which I dont want, which will be different from all the other servers in the Datacenter. It means all our reports will be out by 1 hour in summer ifI have to chose a timzeone which has daylight savings, compared with all the other databases which are UTC (not daylight savings).
I would expect this from freeware maintained by one person in his garage.
It seems that this Timezone issue emans Oracle will not run on windows.
Tried a lot of things, including setting the timzeonse in windows to be "(UTC) Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London", which unfortuantely is not UTC (as it is affected by daylight savings).
When you run
"emctl config agent getTZ"
you get:
"Europe/London"
The only oracle documentation I can find on this subject tells you to edit the emd.properties, and modify the agentTZRegion property, which doesnt exist.
I tried the following command:
"c:\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\BIN>emctl resetTZ agent"
Which tells you to execute:
SQL> exec mgmt_target.set_agent_tzrgn('wario:3938','Europe/London')
SQL> commit
However, when I do this, I get:
SQL> exec mgmt_target.set_agent_tzrgn('wario:3938','Europe/London')

Great. Obviosly, Im loggin in as SYS as no other users have been setup, and certainly I have not seen nor created nor set the password for "em repository user".

This error occurs both when I try to drag a clip with a speed adjustment applied to it and now randomly when I export to Windows Media Video

The dragging clip error and VideoSegmentsImpl error happened prior to installing the CS4 4.0.1 update. Haven't tried it post update. The export error happened post 4.0.1 update.

There's an opacity change to a freeze frame with a vector graphic. Then 10 frames later is a photoshop file with a title file.
I cleared the media cache and am re-rendering to test. If it's still erroring in the same spot I will remove things one at a time to test. Otherwise I'm told it might be an issue with the original AVI and that I might need to open it in windows movie maker and re-render it.
