Error 80043ac1 - An external object raised an error. No Error Description
Hello,
After installing Crystal Reports runtime XI R2, I've been having the error:
Crystal Reports ActiveX Designer error 80043ac1 -
An external object raised an error. No Error Description.
This same runtime package have already been successfully installed in other server (Windows 2003 as well).
I have already tried to give permission to IUSR user (full control) in Windows temp folder.
Does anybody have any information on this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Bruno
Thank a lot for replying Don.
I have tried to use Process Monitor, and found out that I had to give permission for IUSR to the root drive.
I gave some permissions, and the error message changed:
"Create object failed
An error occured while creating "oCrystal". error '8007007e'"
oCrystal is an application variable that I created in global.asa it contains:
<object runat="server" scope="application" id="oCrystal" progid="CrystalRuntime.Application.11"></object>
I run Process Manager again, and found another process with "access denied" for user IWAM, so I gave again permissions for it and finally worked.
Thanks!

Raise error in an external-function of XSLT-mapping (ABAP)
Hi,
we implemented a xslt-mapping (ABAP) in PI with external-functions.
It's a great feature and works fine.
Now, we have to implement an error handling:
The external-functions are reading data from an abap table. We have to stop the mapping (if a value in the table is missing).
We wanna show an error inside the PI-Monitoring (red flag) with a valid error text.
How can I raise an error inside an external-function?
regards
Wolfgang HummelHi Michal,
thanks a lot for your answer.
Can I set dynamic configuration inside an external funktion of an ABAP-XSLT?
I added the CX_MAPPING_FAULT-Exception to my external-function method and raised an exception inside my external-funktion ... and I got an "UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION" inside my mapping - bad

Hi, I have a working project that has a few classes using the NI5411 APIs and now I want to use CNiFgen classes. After adding Core Components(Advanced Analysis, Common) and NI Device Instrument Drivers(NiFgen) from the Measurement Studio Components Wizard. Even when I try to make an object of CNiFgen(CNiFgen cnf I get the following error:
--------------------Configuration: puzzle - Win32 Debug--------------------
Linking...
NiFgenInterfaceD.lib(NiFgenImpl.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _niFgen_SendSoftwareTrigger@4
Output/puzzle.exe : fatal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals
Error executing link.exe.
puzzle.exe
- 2 error(s), 0 warning(s)
My APIs version is working fine and so are these CNiFgen classes(I have tried then for a dummy project). But, things start getting nasty when I try to integrate them.
Regards,
Vaibhav.It looks like you have a typical linking error in VC++. Have you made sure that all of the necessary .lib files are properly linked to?
Also, are you passing any data between your custom classes and the niFGEN classes? These will take different data types unless you have already type cast all of them to work properly together. If they don't share variables, you should be okay.

A trappable error (E0434F4D) occurred in an external object
When launching crystal reports from ASP application following error displayed in the Internet Explorer screen .
"A trappable error (E0434F4D) occurred in an external object. The script cannot continue running"
Our System Configuration :
Report launched from Internet Explorer 7.0 .
Web server : Windows 2003 Standard Edition.
HTTP Status : 500
Moreover , on resetting the Internet Information Service the report is launching properly .
The same error message has been recorded in the event viewer log .Need more details on the duplication steps?
How many times is the report run before you have to reset IIS?
What else is happening?
If it works for a while this usually means there are open documents not disconnecting or possibly you have run out or licenses. RDC only allows 3 connections then no more users can access the reports until one CAL becomes available.
You may need to build in Report job caching and wait for the job complete before sending off another report to process.
RAS is more robust and can handle higher loads than the deprecated RDC which is no longer shipped with CR 2008. You should look at upgrading your WEB app to ASP.NET which has version CR 10 runtime included with .NET or go to the full CR developer version which will give you inProc RAS and can then do RCAPI functionality...
Thank you

Hi,
We had a complex map. Because of some requirement, we used custom xslt on this map. Somehow at runtime that custom xslt is giving below error:
Cannot find the script or external object that implements prefix 'ScriptNS0'.
I checked below links, it seems this is a bug in Biztalk 2010/Visual stuio 2010.
http://sandroaspbiztalkblog.wordpress.com/2012/07/29/biztalk-mapper-patterns-calling-an-external-assembly-from-custom-xslt-in-biztalk-server-2010/
The above link suggest to add a xml element in the .btm file. I tried that as well but no luck. Can anyone suggest me reason and solution for this?
Thanks, Girish R. Patil.When using the Custom XSLT option, you have to maintain the Extension Xml yourself, just as you would for inline custom Xslt that calls external Assemblies.

External content type error: Business Data Connectivity object not found.
Hello
I have to change the external database (external system) for an external content type. The database view on the new database is exactly the same as on the old database.
After changing the external system of the external content type, this happens:
When I try to add a new item to the list, I get this error under the external data field:
"Business Data Connectivity object not found. Administrators, see the server log for more information."
Also, when I try to update the external data field, it is not possible because the buttons are grey.
When I add a new external data field to the same list, I can use the external content type. For some reason the current external data field doesn't update.
Any ideas?
Any help would be much appreciated!Have you implemented both ‘Read List’ & ‘Read Item’ operations in your ECT?
This may be helpful -

Error while testing External Web Service Integration
I'm getting an error when I try to test an external webservice from Studio. After performing the steps to create an external webservice integration with SOAP, When I right-click on the .wsid file and choose "Test Service Operations" and chose the communication scenario and submit request, I get an error "A technical error error occured AP-RC-BDS-WS".
I'm not able to call the service visa the ABSL script as well. When I debug, I get an error in the response CommFault as,
"SoapfaultCode: 5 Server Error."
I'm able to successfully test the web service from SOAPUI.

I have configured RFC connections in the administrative tools. Still it is not working.
What should be the reason behind this?
Thanks,
BhavikHi Guys,
i have the same issue when calling a external service ...
I'm calling a web service located on my server, and i get the same error ...
I have a error while the method "loadbycustomkeys" is trying to get data from the web service.
in the error trace i find the same error id : nullSourceOrTargetForMapping which occurs in the readMappingRule method.
have you found a solution for your issue please ? let me know !

Error 106 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol
Hi there,
I'm trying to instantiate a Factory object to then get a SchemaValidator from createSchemaValidator in C++.
Here's the code snippet:
Tools::Factory<?, Element> *myFactory = new Tools::Factory<? ,Element>();
SchemaValidator<Element> *mySchemaValidator = myFactory->createSchemaValidator(SchValidatorIdType::SchValCXml, NULL);
Basically, I can't seem to find the right template argument which is supposed to be of type "Context" but I can't figure it out. I tried using "xmlctx" but that leads to the following compiling error:
Error 106 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "public: class OracleXml::Parser::SchemaValidator<class Element> * __thiscall OracleXml::Tools::Factory<struct xmlctx,class Element>::createSchemaValidator(enum OracleXml::Parser::SchValidatorIdType,struct xmlctx *)" (?createSchemaValidator@?$Factory@Uxmlctx@@VElement@@@Tools@OracleXml@@QAEPAV?$SchemaValidator@VElement@@@Parser@3@W4SchValidatorIdType@53@PAUxmlctx@@@Z) referenced in function _main TestCppXDK1.obj
I verified I linked my project to oraxml10.lib.
Help?
Thanks!yeah I checked it but it was set as you said. another interesting thing is I can access "pi" variable in math library. ex:
double a= NI :: CNiMath :: Pi;
but when I use
NI::CNiMath::FFT(fftData,imgData);
I get these errors
mfc3 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "public: int __thiscall NI::CniDemo::Access(void)" (?Access@CniDemo@NI@@QAEHXZ) referenced in function "public: static enum NI::MathError __cdecl NI::CNiMath::FFT(class NI::CNiComplexVector &)" (?FFT@CNiMath@NI@@SA?AW4MathError@2@AAV?$CNiComplexVector@N@2@@Z)

user617632I'm not very new to C++, but I'm new to Visual Studio and working with C++ in MS environment. I'm experiencing the same problem using
Studio 2010 Microsoft Visual Studio 2010
Version 10.0.30319.1 RTMRel
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 01021-532-2002102-70432
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010
On a Windows 7 Professional 64 bit OS connecting to a 11gR2 (64) database on the same system
I've performed the exact steps in this post and I still receive the link error after performing all the steps identified with the exception that I performed them with respect to the 11gR2 libs & I'm using the libs / includes from this database's home.
I'm sure that I'm missing something trivial, but I'm at a loss to determine what it is. Your assistance in these matters is greatly appreciated. -
Error while creating info object
error while creating info object a character
Info object may be a maximum of 000060 digits...... what would be the error?
Thanks ALLHi,
The maximum length supported by one CHAR type infoobject is 60. Check whether you have assigned more.
If you have to load more length ( more than 60) split the total thing into different infoobjects. Create different infoobjects and split the total thing into them - like 1st 60 char in 1st infoobject, char 61-120 in 2nd infoobject and so on. Then you can again concatenate them.
Thanks,
Indrashis
