Error code on target machine.
I created a custom error code file on my development machine and included in my build. Is there a way to access this custom error code file on my target??
I know the directory struct is different on the target and made the mistake of hard coding in the path on my devellopment machine. What I'm trying to do is print out the custom error if and when the test encounters one. I could create a custom error code.txt then look for the right error code then send it to the print...which is what I do on the development machine but how is it done on a target??
kind of...doesn't the exe/build/installer/project ( on my development machine) bundle all that data such that I don't have access to it?? If I included the custom error code in my build/installer what directory is it in on my target?? If I encounter an error on my target I want to print out that custom error. How would you do that? I don't know where the custom error file is on my target to point my print out vi to it so it can get that code ( after seaching the custom error code.txt file)
I edited/modified it on my develope so I knew where it was. I then hard coded my path in my print out vi to that directory struct. When I port my exe to my target that directory struct is no longer valid.
My question is can I use the custom error codes in my exe some how to print out the current error
OR
would I be better off porting over the custom error code.txt to a known directory on my target then hard coding it in on my developement machine...making both dir struct the same on develop and target

Crystal report error on Target Machine
We have to provide application exe to our clients. The application is developed in Visual Studio.Net 2010 and by using SAP crystal report CRforVS_13_0. Client must be able to fire reports on their target machine on which the Dot Net framework and u201CCRforVS_redist_install_64bit_13_0_1u201C run time utility is installed. But it gives a crystal report error on the target machine.
Our development and target machines have Win 7 Professional, 64-bit OS installed.
Kindly provide us with an appropriate run time version for target machine in order to fire reports or any other solution in order to make our project work on target machine.
Thanks! Thanks a lot Don for your valuable suggestions.
We have already taken care of the points which you mentioned in your reply on development side. Also, we have downloaded crystal report from the link which you posted but on DEPLOYMENT side we are unable to run reports from our application.
It gives the notification when we try to install crystal report on a target machine as "You must have visual studio 2010 installed in order to install the crystal report".
The DEPLOYMENT problem we are facing is in RUNTIME environment on TARGET machine. Our TRAGET machine has properly installed Win 7 Professional 64 bit, .NET Framework Ver 4 and CRforVS_redist_install_64bit_13_0_1 . We also have properly installed application on this machine. We got no errors while installing any of the above. The problem starts when we fire a report on target machine from the application.
We get the error as "The type initializer for 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' threw an exception"
So, we are looking for an appropriate RUN TIME version of Crystal Report which can be installed on the target machine to fire reports (where visual studio 2010 is not installed).
Please help suggest an exact version to download for target machine and the steps if it has a specific procedure.
Thank you!

"An unexpected error occurred (error code -43)" when launching Time Machine
Hi! When attempting to launch Time Machine, I get the following error:
The operation could not be completed
An unexpected error occurred (error code -43)
My machine is a 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon running 10.5.8
What's strange is that Time Machine DID work just the other day. It would launch automatically when I plugged in my external HD (Maxtor One Touch) though I didn't set it up to back up yet. After I reformatted the drive to Mac OS Extended (Journaled), Time Machine started giving me this error and won't launch. Any ideas here? Thanks! When you reformatted, it got a new UUID (Universally Unique IDentifier), which may be confusing Time Machine. Try just reselecting it, per +Time Machine Preferences.+
If that doesn't help, try a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum). -
I keep getting this when trying to open Time machine: An unexpected error occurred (error code -6584). time machine wont even open up. My Time capsule has a green lite and appears fine
Thaks,This often means the backup is corrupted.
First of all reboot the network.. turn everything off and restart in order.. modem.. TC.. clients.
If you still have issues, hold the option key when you click the Time Machine icon on the top menu and it will bring up verify backups.
Do that.
Read this thread if you need more..

It seems to be a fairly complex problem if the above don't work. -
Error code 0x80020022 when trying to burn regular CD-R but reads still ok
My imac has an optical drive that reads & plays DVD's but only burns CD's. *At least it used to* burn CD's. Now when I drag files to be burned, I get this:
"Burning the disc failed because communication to the disc drive failed.
(Error code 0x80020022)"
The machine will *READ Cd's* just fine, and will *PLAY DVDs* just fine. It just refuses to burn CD's for me, even just a little jpeg or text file or something. Have tried alternate media, no difference. Is this some bug in Tiger, or are these drives just starting to fail, and how easy is it to replace this myself in a domed-base imac?
Everything's been fine for well over a year. Problem just started appearing last week. No new apps added, nothing clanged. Appreciate any advice. Stats follow:

Time machine error sparse bundle arlready in useFirst, I suggest you make another full backup to a locally-attached external hard drive. You should do that anyway. One backup isn't enough to be safe, and backing up over a network is less reliable than backing up locally. Then try each of the following steps that you haven't already taken.
1. Restart the backup device. You can do that by disconnecting and reconnecting the power cord.
2. Open the Time Machine pane in System Preferences and check that the device is selected as a destination. If it isn't, select it and try again.
3. Hold down the option key and select Verify Backups from the TM menu in the menu bar (not the Dock icon.) This operation may take a long time. If the menu-bar icon (a clock that runs backwards) isn't showing, check Show Time Machine in menu bar in the preferences.
4. Erase the backup device. With a Time Capsule, you do that from within the AirPort Utility application; see its built-in help for details. All backups on the device will be lost, so don't do this until you've backed up to another device. After erasing, select the device again as a backup destination in the TM preference pane. The first backup should be made over a wired connection, if possible. -
Hello, I am trying to complie some C code for some applications I am working on in labview (I am using Labview 2012 64bit).
When I try to build my code in Visual C++ 2010 ( I have set it up to be able to use x64) I get the following fatal error:
nivision.lib(StartupShutdown.obj) : fatal error LNK1112: module machine type 'X86' conflicts with target machine type 'x64'
Which I understand that .lib does not have a 64bit compatability. However, if I were to use 32bit code, how can I link/emulate it to my 64bit labview? Is there a good tutorial on this application? The problem is the rest of my application uses and requires 64bit labview, so I am stuck in this enviroment.
Thanks.dbrittain wrote:
Thanks for the reply. The C code I have cross correlates images, and it does reference the image inputs and size variables from the nivision classes. I am thinking of using a side by side labview environment with shared variables. I have not done this before, do you have any good examples? Can you make the library function node a shared variable or only the elements within it?
I guess I could try to convert to labview, but the are a lot of lines of code that I would prefer not to try to wrap my head around in translation.
The LabVIEW API in Vision Development Module has functions that let you get access to all those parameters as well as the raw image data pointer. A common design is to query those items on the LabVIEW diagram and then pass them to your DLL. This would mean you wouldn't need to make any calls into the Vision DLL from your C code.
As for examples showing how to use shared variables, keep in mind that it isn't just like doing a function call. The more appropriate way to think of it would be communicating with another VI by getting and setting controls and indicators while it runs. You could put all your arguments into a shared variable and set a boolean indicating it is ready, then wait for another boolean to go high indicating the other code has finished and placed its results in another shared variable. Your application code interacts with the shared variables just like a control/indicator/local variable. This of course is a simple description and I would not be surprised if there are well-defined frameworks/examples searchable in the forums that use shared variables in this manner.

Error Code 0x80070035 shows when I try to Access Windows XP machine from Windows8/Windows7
Error Code 0x80070035 shows when I try to Access Windows XP machine from Windows8/Windows7. in my PC i m installed windows8 and used primary and secondary IP. Primary is used for Access my Domain/Internet and secondary IP is used for access my VPN and
there is no internet on VPN. VPN is only used for my Head Office Appication. After i give secondary IP to my windos8/windos7 PC the Active network status changed to private network and not able to acces windows XP machines. Please Advice...Hi,
This error means that the Network path was not found. Was Windows XP locating in the same network as the secondary IP on Windows 8/7?
Please try the solution below. Use the IP address of the target computer, not the computer name.
1) Find out what the target computer's IP address is. It is desirable to give the target computer a static private IP address, for example, 192.168.1.10, so it does not change. Use the local windows help when sitting in front of the target computer
to do this if you don't know how.
2) When sitting in front of the Windows 7 computer you want to access the target computer from, open Windows Explorer and in the address bar type \\ followed by the target computer's static address, for example,\\192.168.1.10 and hit enter.
If the target computer uses username/password sharing, after a few seconds you will be prompted for credentials. Enter the same username and password employed to log on to the target computer when you are sitting in front of it.
The target computer will be added to the Windows 7 computer's Network list, appearing as an IP address instead of a computer name. Then you can access its shares just as if it were listed by name instead of by number.

Time machine won't open error code -43
When I try to open time machine it says:
The operation could not be completed.
An unexpected error occurred (error code -43).
The only thing I have tried is to restart.
Anyone seen this error before or know what I can do to get the program to open?I have seen this error code before.
It corresponds to an entry in my console that looks like this:
16/12/2007 13:22:09 mdworker[1226] CFPropertyListCreateFromXMLData(): Old-style plist parser: missing semicolon in dictionary.
From the Mac OS X man pages: mdworker is the metadata server worker process. It is used by mds to scan and index files as a volume is mounted or a file changes.
It implies that if something goes wrong with the drive that Time Machine thinks is it's target disk, Time Machine doesn't error handle this very well.
In any event, what you want to know is how to work around the missing error handling:
I fixed it as macia suggested:
1. Start System Preferences
2. Select your Time Machine Preferences
3. Select a new target for your Backups
4. Begin backing up
5. Label that external hard disk as your backup disk and treat it as if it were a collection of very important documents (since that's what it is)
This worked for me - no more Error code -43, no more inexplicable console errors.
I hope this works for you. -
How do I fix Time Machine error code 43?
When I try to open Time Machine in my applications folder, it won't open and i get a message with Error Code 43.
I've never set up Time Machine before on my G5. I did add a new internal hard drive about 6 months ago but other than that, there are no other drives connected to it.
I recently bought a MBP and a time capsule. i would like to back up my G5 to the Time Capsule before I start moving data/info from my G5 to my MBP. I've already set up the Time Capsule to work with my MBP. Now I just need to set up my G5.
I've read in another forum that I may need to re-set my preferences in Time Machine (on the G5) to get it to work again. They recommended "right clicking" or "control" click to open time machine. When I do that, I don't get a menu item for preferences. So I don't know how to find the preferences.
Maybe there is something else I need to do or know, that is why I'm looking for help.
Thanks,
EhrenHello Ehren,
1. Start System Preferences
2. Select your Time Machine Preferences
3. Select a new target for your Backups, or uncheck recheck it.
4. Begin backing up -
Can I restore photo files from Time Machine without the use of an external drive? While I was transferring photos back and forth from a thumb drive something went haywire and my IPhoto was wiped clean! When I click on Time Machine I see all the dated pages (without an external storage drive connected), go back to a date where all my photo files are there, click "restore", and I get the message: "The Finder can't complete the operation because some data in file cant be read or written (error code - 36)"
Thanks so much Terence. I tried some of the fixes from that page, but then discovered the suggestion to compress the Time Machine Back up of the original library and transfer it as a zip back to my computer as detailed here:
http://pondini.org/TM/E9.html
That worked like a charm. I really appreciate it. -
Error Code 6 when installing CS5 on Windows 7 64 bit Machine
Like many others I am getting Error Code 6 when attempting to install Photoshop CS5 on a Windows 7 Home Premioum 64 bit machine. I have gotten as far as creating the log and displaying it but am not skilled enought to interpret it. Can anyone look at this log and tell me the solution to my issue. It is greatly appreciated.
This is on a new machine with a new operating system and up to date. Lightroom 3 installed with no problem as did many other apps.

Property(S): payload.8.0.50727.100.63E949F6_03BC_5C40_FF1I discovered the cause of this problem. I had pointed my "My Documents" folder to a NAS drive that I had rather than my C drive. Apparently Photoshop was dependant on it being on the C dirve. When I repointed this back to my C drive CS5 installed properly.

I have one folder on an XSAN that one machine can not make changes to. Whenever I try to duplicate or copy a file in this folder I get 'The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50).'
The permissions are fine, and I have trashed the finder plist and reset the NVRAM.
Anyone have a answer?
ThanksTips I received so far (thanks to A-Mac via Twitter http://www.a-mac.nl and Remco Kalf http://www.remcokalf.nl/)
- make sure you have at least 10% of your harddisk in free space (I had only 5%).
- do a PRAM-reset (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379)
- perform a hardware test (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1509)
- make a complete backup (with for example Carbone Clone Copier, see http://www.bombich.com/)
- after complete backup: use diskwarrior (boot from Diskwarrior DVD, first perform diagnostics, then perform "Rebuild" which rebuilds your file directory).
So far I only cleared up some space on my HD, and already the problem occurs less.
Still, I will go through the other tips too.
(will post progress) -
I just restored my Mac HD from a time machine back-up and PS 4 Will not open. I get an error code 150:30. Any Idea what I should do ?
Photoshop's licensing information might have lost when you restored it to new HD. Re-install Photoshop CS4 and enter the same serial key for PS CS4 which you used before.
In case you need the download link for PS CS4, you can get it from here. Download CS4 products
Let me know in case you still get any issues.

You are not authorized to logon to the target system (error code 1)
Dear Expert,
I met some problems that 'You are not authorized to logon to the target system (error code 1)' when I tried to do the auth. testing for RFC SM_CLNT<SID>_TRUSTED in satellite system.
Following SAP note 128447, I recreated the RFCs in SMSY in solution manager for satellite system using existing user.
It was still error ''You are not authorized to logon to the target system (error code 1)'.
In SMSY in solman, I checked the RFCs connection which I recreated using RFC wizard, they are ok(green).
I have already maintain the auth. obj S_RFCACL for user who is running this.
So, I am confused what authorization I did not maintain in user? Please help me out!
Thanks a lot!
Br,
Lucy

Edited by: lucy YANG on Mar 19, 2011 7:01 AMHello Lucy,
The error is pretty clear that the calling system is not a trusted system so I don't think you should bother with an authorization trace at this time, because authorizations is not quite the issue. The calling system is NOT a trusted system, authorizations or not.
Please refer to SAP Note 128447 Trusted/Trusting systems
The error is listed there:
Authorization errors that occur when using an RFC destination for which
the 'Trusted Systems' indicator is set are documented with the following
message:
"No authorization to log on as a trusted system (Trusted RC = #)."
In this case, the trusted return code # (# = 0, 1, 2, 3) has the
following relevance:
1 The calling system is not a trusted system, or the
security key for the system is invalid.
Solution: Recreate the trusted system (see
documentation).
These are the links the Note provides for the documentation:
/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/22/042671488911d189490000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
] in accordance with the documentation
[http://help.sap.com/
saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/8b/0010519daef443ab06d38d7ade26f4/content.htm].
The Note states to recreate the Trusted system according to the Documentation (links above)
This is all in the Note. Please follow the Note to reslve this known error.
Regards,
Paul
