Error coming while deploying portal EAR file into the weblogic Portal 8.1..

When I deploy the latest PORTAL EAR file into the BEA portal environment we
receive a number of these errors:

Before deploying the app, you could check database table PF_PORTLET_DEFINITION for any entries there which might conflict with yours.

    Hi Olivier,
you could try the following approach:
    1. Package your JAR files as J2EE Engine libraries and deploy them on it as described here: <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/9f/2ade3fc6c6ec06e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Working with J2EE Libraries</a>.
    2. Set reference to this library from the application that use them. Depending on your application, refer to the appropriate documentation:
    -- reference from a J2EE app -> see <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/15/d5d93fe80fed06e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Referencing Libraries in Applications</a>
    -- reference from a portal app -> see <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/02/788540ae1dbb4de10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Referencing Elements</a>
    Hope that helps!

  • How to deploy an Ear File into Weblogic Server

    Hello,
i have created an ADF application successfully and make it as an EAR file.
How can we deploy that EAR file into weblogic server..?
    Let me know step-by-step procedure.
    Regards.

    Hi,
Steps to deploy EAR file on Weblogic server:
    1) login to http://<hostname>:<port>/console
    2) Go to deployments and then install your ear on weblogic server.
Also you will need to create a data source with same name as given in your Application Module.
Following link contains steps for data source creation - http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/jdeveloper/howto/11114/managedserver/wlsadfms.html ( section - "Configure a JDBC Data Source")
    Thanks,

  • I keep getting "error occurred while attempting to import file *******. The disc your are attempting to use is full." I have an external hard drive that I moved files over to, but apparently they're also still on my hard drive? HELP!

I keep getting "error occurred while attempting to import file *******. The disc your are attempting to use is full." I have an external hard drive that I moved files over to, but apparently they're also still on my hard drive? HELP!

So you have backed up the content of the computer's hard drive, too?
That usually is a great idea since it is possible to lose use of the system
if parts of it have accidentally been removed or get over-written, or the
main system files get corrupted, when the hard disk drive gets too full.
If you have not trashed the originals of your created content, that remain
after you made copies on an external hard drive or other device, then
that is what you'd have to do to reclaim the capacity still in use by them.
What are specifications of the hard disk drive? The unused capacity
verses the used, in GB? If the hard drive has less than 15 to 20%
free or unused capacity, you could run into trouble. Mine are 40-50%
unused hard drive space, so ample room is available for automatic
Virtual Memory to use that capacity as temporary swap file space.
This is helpful when the computer could use more physical RAM
memory capacity, but doesn't have it. Or if the RAM is maxxed out
and you can't add any more. Virtual Memory is part of OS X and the
system automatically can use as much as is available, but it is better
to be sure there is plenty of resources available to include chip RAM
as well as unused or free hard drive capacity for use as VM.
If for some reason your files in Trash won't go away when you empty
it, you may have to restart. Be sure you have not included any System
files in the content in the Trash, or the Mac may not start up later on.
You may have to boot the computer from the install-restore OS X DVD
and run Repair Disk from its version of Disk Utility, to be sure it's OK.
I'm guessing that by now you know enough about the vintage system
in the older hardware to figure it out, so I won't write about it now.
In any event... hopefully you can simply trash the files, but check them
carefully, & you may need to remove (copy to archive first) even more.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Out of Memory Error While deploying as EAR file

    Hai,
I was trying to deploy an EAR file of size 63 MB which inturn containing about 60 EJB.jars. No WARs. application.xml has all the entries for the JARs. While I am deploying it is giving Out of Memory Error. Is there any way to tweak this problem. I am using my own hand written java application which uses the SunONE deployment APIs for deployment. Can u please tell how to tackle this problem. I am running my application through a batch file which uses jdk1.4.
Please help me regarding this issue.

You can set the initial heap size and maximum heap size for the JVM, either in the app-server admin console, or maybe in one of your scripts. You look-up the syntax!...
I had this error yesterday. I too had run out of memory (150Mb). You simply need to allocate more to the app-server.

  • Error while deploying MDM SCA files through SDM over portal

    Hi experts,
We are trying to deploy MDM business package over CE server.
In this we are able to deploy the MDM java apis MDMJAVAAPI06_3.sca but while deploying BPMDMTECHN06_4.sca and BPMDMAPPLI06_4.sca we are getting error that Error " AS JAVA is not running" restart and try we tried many times restarting the instance and deploying it again but every time we are getting the same error.
Please check if the version of the SCA files we are using are correct.
    please help.
    regards
    Narendra

    Hi Narendra,
If you are using the portal demo version then check the expiry date. Also try deploying any of the SCAs other than MDMJAVAAPI to confirm whether the error is due to SCA files or there is a problem with the portal server.
If you get the same error then you should download the SCA files again from market place and try deploying them. Version doesn't play any role in case of deployment. But make sure it should be compatible with the MDM Server version.

  • Problem While deploying an ear file

I created a ear file Which has a BeanHello.jar and BeanHello.war and an application.xml. I tried doing it like the petstore application of weblogic6.0. It is deploying on the server , But the internal components of the ear file is not being deployed . Kindly send me one small example.

We are also having the same problem with our application. And it works OK when
we deploy the ejb jars and Webapplication(war)separately.
We think we've followed all the steps in the WebLogic documentation, but same
as Meena, the internal components of our ear file is not being deployed. And when
we try to start Weblogic server, it throws the exceptions as below.

If everything U did with the creation of ear files and deployment goes

    I created a ear file Which has a BeanHello.jar and BeanHello.war andan
application.xml. I tried doing it like the petstore application of
weblogic6.0. It is deploying on the server , But the internal components
    of
the ear file is not being deployed . Kindly send me one small example.

  • Can't back up to time capsule, repeatedly get message error occurred while trying to copy files to the backup disk

I have just installed a time capsule on my new IMac.
I have set it up with ethernet connection to my modem and to my IMac
Every time I try to back up I get an error message about not being able to write files to the backup disk; I have reset it, re-booted it and done everything else I can think of.
Does anyone have any suggestions on remedying this problem?

Initially this application was giving me absolute path related errors. But when I made changes to applicationContext.xml as follows, giviing absolute path for Hibernate mapping files
    <property name="mappingDirectoryLocations">

         *<value>file:D:\saas-mappings</value>*

I have extrached all the *.hbm.xml file to above location that is D:\saas-mappings.But now the application is giving me above mentioned error. The error says that it is related to Named queries.I am pasting the contents of a sample *.hbm.xml file having named query as a sample

    Hi,
For a tutorial with source on how to create and deploy a simple quickstart JEE5 JPA enterprise 3-tier application on your Oracle WebLogic 10.3 server - see the following example that uses the EclipseLink JPA provider. You should be able to transition all of your mapping information (the @ManyToOne and table/column overrides and named queries for example) using either JPA via entity annotations or native extensions if you do not want to implement EJB3.
    see...
    http://wiki.eclipse.org/EclipseLink/Examples/JPA/WebLogic_Web_Tutorial
We also have a similar version for Tomcat 6 except the JPA entity beans run outside a container-managed JTA transaction on the web container - for reference.

    thank you

  • Error after Deploying a .ear File

    Hi,
I have deployed an .ear file on the SAP J2EE engine 6.20 on EP6.0 sp2. When I access one of the JSP's, I am getting a NoClassDefFound exception even though the particular jar (xml-apis.jar) file containing the class is in the additional-lib directory. Also, the jar file has been added to the classpath in go.bat? What other changes are to be done for a successful deployment?
Environment :EP6.0, sp2 hotfix4 on Windows 2003, MS SQL server DB.
    Please reply ASAP
    Thanks
    Bhanu

    hello,
have you tried including the 3rd party jar in your EAR file itself?
i use a number of external jars in my web app and ejb, including some xml parsing classes. what i did was to put them all in the EAR, at the root level, in other words, not in a sub-directory. then in my WAR's meta-inf/MANIFEST.MF file reference them in the Class-path. do simililar thing for the ejbs if necessary.
when you tried to use the inqxml instead, did you make a reference in manager/referecen.txt from your app to the inqmy library? if so, did you look into the inqmyxml.jar to see if the Node class is actually there?
    regards,
    wentao
