Trying to run java class files from my jsp

I am having difficulty running java files from my jsp. I have compiled my two java classes and inserted them onto my server in the webapps/WEB-INF/classes/scripting directory and have imported scripting.* into my jsp page. Here are the few question
1) Does your java classes which u created is declared under package scripting. *.class files are to be places under the WEB-INF/classes directory only. Not under scripting. But if you java classes say are under a package called a.b. Then you need to put under classes\a\b\.

Installed JDK but still error message when running java class

Can you please help me somebody?
I installed everything how it was in the book.
So I created my first script.
I ran "javac HelloUser.java" which created the class.
And then when I want to run the "java HelloUser " I always get this message:
exeption in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: HelloUser
I just dont understand it. I changed the paths in the system settings as well.

Run java class using JBuilder

I already import the java class forder to the src folder in JBuilder where the src folder is created by the JBuilder itself. When i run compile the program there is an error in reading the java class file but when i run the program in Textpad, the program is success. May i know why? how can i run my program using java class in JBuilder instead of Java source? Thanks.

In JBuilder there is an option of specifying what the 'main' file in a project is . Specify that to this class file

There's couple of things at issue here - you've not specified the proper interface (IProgramBase or IProgramBaseEx), and the program job server can't find the class in question (a deployment issue).
You may want to open a support ticket with SAP.

ERROR: Could not find abc.class
abc.class present in C:\ drive.

How to run a class file in MAC os, compiled in XP.

i am compiling a java program in windows using JDK 1.5 and i am copying this file to MAC os (Panther). In Mac i am running this class file using JDK 1.4.i am getting the following exception,
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassversion error.
This is understandable, but is there any solution for this ...
Any one experienced the same problem ...
If any one comes up with a solution to solve this, plz let me know...

You are compiling it in 1.5 and expecting 1.4 to run it?
You have two options: compile it at the 1.4 level or upgrade your Mac to 1.5

Running java classes

I am a newbie to java and have installed the sdk files fine and breezyswing and terminal IO packages and it all seems to work ok because i can compile all my files fine. Even the test files i can compile and they work ok. But when i go to run the class file i always get this error
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: c:\Division.class
can someone please help me.

The argument to the java.exe command is a class name, not a file or path. If your class is defined as "public class Division" then the command is "java Division" Also, class names are case sensitive, so you must use Division, not division.
If you still get the NoClassDefFound error, you probably have a Classpath problem. Try to CD to the directory where Division.class file is and use the command "java -claspath . Division"
Then check the hundreds of posts in the forum concerning classpath.

Where to place an xml file that is read by java class file dir structure

I have an xml file that I am using in lieu of a database to track conference rooms . This is a small file. I need to read this file from my java class file which is used by a jsp. Currently I have an absolute path C://logger/conference.xml. All works fine but I need to deploy to a different machine soon and so I need to place this file somewhere in the project directory structure (created by netbeans) so that it will be included in the war file and can be read by the java class file.
Also what would be the relative path to this suggested directory.

Problem in finding java class file

I am writting an application using servlets , JSP and a simple java classfile. The simple java class file is for connection pool and the name of connection pool class is DBConnectionManager . I am using JavaWebserver2.0 and I have placed this class file in .\JavaWebserver2.0\classes
I am placing my servlets in .\JavaWebserver2.0\servlets folder. Since I am using wfm package so my servlets are placed in .\JavaWebserver2.0\servlets\wfm .
The problem is with compiling the servlet placed in wfm folder . I get the following error:-
TestServlet.java:11:cannot resolve symbol
symbol: class DBConnectionManager
location: class wfm.TestServlet
However when I try to compile this class in servlets folder and remove the package statement from the source file, it compiles and works very fine. I am having lot of confusion as the class DBConnectionManager is in classpath but even then compiler gives error. The same class when placed in servlets folder and package statement is removed works very fine.
Kindly help.

Is the DBConnectionManager class declared public?
Does the TestServlet import the package that contains the DBConnectionManager?

Loading Java Class File in JSP page

I'm trying to load a java class file from a jsp page.
(e.g. MyFile.java <-- Source "MyFile.class<--Class file of MyFile.java")
jsp page
<%@ include file = "MyFile.class" %>

MyFile.java
A normal java source file that has "public static void main" in it.
My jsp page can display it's contents, 'except' for showing e.g. "1235%%215648%%public%%$$@##" through out the page...
My guess is that it can't display my java class file..
Can anyone please help me solve this problem of mine ?

Determine the Java Class File Major & Minor Version

Did anyone tried to look at the Major & Minor version of a specific java class file.
Our server is running in version 1.3. We are including a third party class file, I like to check before our production move, whether the file is compiled is <= Jdk1.3.
