Error deploying Agent from EM12C

Hi,
I am busy upgrading my Enterprise Manager from 11.1.0.1 to 12.1.0.2 using the two system approach.
I am trying to deploy the agent software to a host machine through the old Enterprise Manager (Deployments, Enterprise Manager 12c Upgrade Comsole, Deploy and Configure Agents) , but an getting the following error during the deploy stage...
Updating home dependencies...
Executing command: /oracle/agent12c/core/12.1.0.2.0/oui/bin/runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs -updateHomeDeps -waitForCompletion HOME_DEPENDENCY_LIST={oracle/agent12c/sbin:/oracle/agent12c/core/12.1.0.2.0,} -invPtrLoc /oracle/agent12c/core/12.1.0.2.0/oraInst.loc -force
Update Home Dependencies Location:/oracle/agent12c/core/12.1.0.2.0/cfgtoollogs/agentDeploy/UpdateHomeDeps<timestamp>.log
ERROR: Update home dependency failed.
Failed to deploy agent bits.
When i run through the process manually on the host, it runs through successfully.
I managed to get the following from one of the log files (agentDeploy_2012-10-19_00-00-34-AM.log), before it was cleaned up as part of the automated deploy action.
INFO: 'UpdateHomeDeps' failed.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • How to deploy agent from windows 32bit to 64bit

    Hello,
I have installed oem grid on windows 2003 32bit. I have a few remote boxes that are 64 bit windows. How can I use oem grid on 32 bit to deploy agent on the remote 64 bit boxes? I can install agent on 64 bit boxes manually but I want to know how to deploy from 32 bit to 64 bit if possible? Thank you.

First, the bit version of the OEM OMS Host and the Target Agent Hosts is independent, i.e. you can have OMS on windows 32bit and have several 64bit target hosts, where you are running the 64bit agent.
Unless you have a lot of target hosts, I would recommend either manually installing the agents (mount a share with the installation files and run setup locally) or using the agentDownload.

  • Error deploying page from 4.0 application to 4.1

    Hi:
I have successfully deployed a page from a 4.0 apex application to the same application in apex 4.1.
    The page is imported successfully.
However, when I run the page, I get the following error:
Can't display page item because the HTML form was not yet opened
Certain items on the page have to be deleted before the page will display and I am not sure why.
Also, the standard reports do not display. If I re-create the report on the page with exactly the same query, it does display.
What is the issue here. Why will my 4.0 page not display properly in 4.1?
    Regards,
    Bruce

Here's a couple ideas . . . True, you can't downgrade without jailbreaking your phone. Which I personally don't recommend. Other folks may, you'll need to research and make your own decision.
    Here's a couple:
    http://www.tipb.com/2010/07/06/improve-ios-4-performance-iphone-3g/
    Or:
A double hard reset can temporarily fix the problem. Hold both the home and sleep/wake buttons until the phone turns off. When it comes back up to your home or password screen, hold both buttons again. This time your phone should stay off. Let it sit for ~10 seconds or so, then turn it back on.

  • Error deploying jpa from oepe tutorial example on Weblogic 12c server

I am having the next error trying to deploy jpa in to Weblogic 12c server from the oepe tutorial example at http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/jdev/obe11jdev/11/eclipse_intro/eclipse_intro.html. I have started again all the tutorial from the begining, trying to not miss any configuration setting even the ones displayed on pictures, finding that the tutorial example now works. I think the first time i have tryed it i missed to activate the anotations facet in project properties because this configuration step is not explained in the tutorial unless you take a close look into the tutorial images. Probably that was the cause of the mentioned error, not so sure, but the tutorial example really works.

  • Error deploying application from BPMA to HFM

I am trying to deploy a consolidation application created in BPMA and I'm getting the error below (the application did validate properley). The app deployed fine initially but I've since added dimensions and members to it. The error is as follows:

I cannot access the error text file to see further details. When I click the log file link a window opens up and immediately closes again.
Has anyone else had trouble deploying apps or viewing deploy logs?

    Hi,
I've have had the same log problem myself. Support said that the log thing is a bug of some sort. For me it started to work after changing IE settings and rebooting the servers and services. You can see the messages on the server, however.
Take a copy of the application, and when deploying that one, clear data and metadata + check referential ... (ticks on before deploying).
    Usually helps.

  • Sshd error while deploying agent to remote host

    Hi,
Am getting the following error while deploying agent to remote host.
SSH Setup failed on nodes: localhost. SSH setup failed because of any of the following reasons:
sshd has gone down while doing SSH setup.
The platform of the provided hosts may be incorrect. Please verify it.
Fix above problems and Continue OR do manual ssh setup running command: "<OMS_HOME>/sysman/prov/resources/scripts/sshUserSetupNT.sh -hosts "user-pc" -user karthick -localPlatformGrp win -asUser SYSTEM [-asUserGrp root] -sshLocalDir \.ssh -homeDir $HOME". I tried the following from both the host and working fine.
    ssh host1 date from host2
    ssh host2 date from host1
When I try to do the manual ssh setup running the cmd
$ sh sshUserSetupNT.sh -hosts "user-pc" -user karthick -localPlatformGrp win -asUser SYSTEM [-asUserGrp root] -sshLocalDir \.ssh -homeDir $HOME

    Getting the above error.
Pls let me know how to fix this issue.

  • Error 25211. Failed to install performance counters while trying to remove a 2012 SP1 agent from system.

I have a system that has the "Repair and Uninstall" options grayed out from the Management Server (2012 SP-1) and if I go to the system itself, I have tried repairing the Agent Installation (Does not work successfully) and I now am trying to "uninstall"
the agent from the system.   I keep getting about 1/2 way through the uninstall and an error opens that "Cannot install performance counters".    The system is Windows 2003 Standard Edition SP2.   The system also
has a SCOM 2007 directory locally that cannot be deleted because a log file is in use.  There are no other agents locally on the system through "Add / Remove Programs" within Control Panel.
    A little history.
We have two Environments (2012 R2 and the other 2012-SP1).  Some system were "Dual-Homed".   This one was not.  I am trying to uninstall the SP-1 agent so we can move it to the R2 environment.   It previously had MOM
2005 agent tha was uninstalled and it appears to have had a 2007 agent installed at some point, but only the trace directory that I can find.
I have tried rebuild commands for performance counter and it appears to be functioning correctly.

    Hi,
Can you see the agent under pending management? You may upgrade the agent through the console.
When you upgrade an agent, the Operations Manager installer service runs and is not removed until after the completion of the upgrade. If the agent upgrade fails, you might have to re-install the agent because the installer service was not properly removed.
If you attempt to upgrade the agent again and it fails, you should re-install the agent after you have completed upgrading all features of Operations Manager.
After rebuilding performance counter by following the link below, you may try to uninstall the agent and check the result:

    Hi Mike,
I hear what you are saying and I believe you. But the error you describedis the known issue related to Internet access
(down to the exact line numbers in the stack trace). Is it possible yourconnection was down last time you attempted
    hot-deploy?
If you are sure your Internet connection is up, I would recommend tryinghot-deploy again. If it still does not work,
something very strange is going on. At that point I would recommendtrying the workaround anyway or escalating the issue
    to BEA Support.
Now my curiosity is piqued so I hope you'll let me know either way.

    Hi Mike,
I would bet that you are working on a machine that doesn't have
    Internet
    access, correct?
The problem is that the EBCC is trying and failing to access the J2EEapplication descriptor
    dtd from Sun's website.
If you can't get Internet access, here is the workaround:
    - save the attached file to your harddrive (just save it to c:\)
    - edit the application.xml file for your project as follows:
    - first copy the entire DOCTYPE declaration and save it somewhere
    in
    a
separate text file (in case want to revert back to it later)
    - edit the DOCTYPE declaration so that it looks like this:
    <!DOCTYPE application PUBLIC '-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD J2EEApplication 1.3//EN' 'file:///application_1_3.dtd'>
( notice that the java.sun.com web address is replaced with the URI
    to
    the file on your harddrive)
    - save your changes and hotdeploy will work with or without Internetaccess
    Thanks,
    Scott Ellis

a runtime error occurred while executing the inquiry. i know there used to be bugs on this but.
uccx, ha, 8.5.1. i have included the log. Thank you for any assistance.

I removed my deployments from the remote OC4J server and removed deployment entries from http-web-site.xml and server.xml. I redeployed my simpleJSP bibean application to my local and remote OC4J server. It works locally but fails now with this new error:
javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: BIB-10310 An unknown exception occurred.

How can i further troubleshoot this . later on when I restart again ...it works .
    Help appreciated .
    Amith

    Hello,
    Thanks for your response.
U see ..this happens only when the all the services / databases etc come back up after a cold backup during the weekend . And like I u have mentioned , I thought this could be due to the BPEL service trying to connect to one of the databases as mentioned in the oc4j-ra.xml ( there are 3 distinct database connections to 3 diff databases ) . So I made sure that all the dbs are up and running before this particular service is started . It wroks at times ..but then it fails at times . So I have started wondering whether this is a different issue . And I am not able to troubleshoot it any further .
What exactly should I check in the wsdl file ..
    Appreciate your help !
    Amith
