ERROR: Download still in progress - not making progress

I'm adding a new clients to a new UCE server (SUNOS 10 SPARC), but the agents on the SPARC machines cannot patch themselves due to the following errors. The agents show up on the server console, but remain "disconnected" and cannot be patched. The "Download still in progress" is repeated without end. Any suggestions?
Also the "uce_agents_check_prerequisites" doesn't appear to be available any more in the downloads site. Is there an alternative?

Second this problem - various clients - Solaris 8 9 or 10 (all SPARC)
Only way I've been able to get around that for newly built hosts is to reboot after installation..
Very frustrating as we build a machine and then use UCE/CE to patch it - so we are leaving a relativly unpatched system on network till it can connect

An alternate resource for downloading CS6 is thru the following site (they still download the files from the Adobe servers).  You can download the trial version and use your serial number to activate to full use.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store, then.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

The Download is about 4GB, it depends on how fast your internet connection is and how busy Apple computers are. Have you any way of checking if your Internet is downloading, I.E activity lights on you router. My Internet is 8Mb/s download and it took just over an hour to download earlier today.
I am not sure about a "time remaining"icon.

  • Q10 - Are we will still expecting progress on fuctionality or not (eg Notes and Tasks to be synchronizing)?

Synchronizing with Outlook is now possible (at least in theory) through a USB cable, or wirelesly - great.
However, it seems that (at least for now) this is limited to contacts and agenda.
In my opinion - these are the most important, but we are still hoping for Notes and Tasks to become "synchronizable"
In the end, the objective is get a portable version of Outlook on the Q10 device, coupled with telephone service.
Then, if the device can also do other things, that is great.
But Internet, facaebook, twitter, camera, music, ganes, etc - that is not important - leave that for later and lets sort out the key functionality first.
If BBY does not agree with this, or does not intend to actually generate a better version of its previous devices, but create an iBerry, then PLEASE say so, so those of us who are not interested in an iBerry can go and get the Porsch phone - IT IS AWESOME!
Any insight from those in the know would be welcome.
    Thank you in advance.

iBerry fits it well, although the iPhone or Android is better suited for playing around a little. For business purposes, the Q10 is unusable. I will be sticking to my Bold 990 and return the Q10 to the vendor.

  • UpdatesDeployment - another job is still in progress

    Hi there
I have 1 secondary site (out of around 70) that clients are not installing their Windows Updates correctly.  The software updates icon appears in the system tray and when any user at the site tries to install the available updates, the UpdatesDeployment.log file on the PC contains the following lines:
        InstallUpdates Initiated by user
Install not allow as another job is still in progress.
        InstallUpdates failed, error 80040703
Failed to initiate installation of updates, error = 0x80040703
EnumerateUpdates for action (UpdateActionInstall) - Total visible updates = 16
I am not able to determine what other job is still in progress, but does anyone know of a way to do this?  And to hopefully cancel it if possible?   Every other site with the same deployment works properly.
    Thanks in advance
    John

None of these fixes have worked for me. I still have the problem.
Specifically, I am doing a bare metal Windows XP w/SP3 x86 deployment and have four sets of "install software updates" task sequence line items, along with corresponding “Post Update Reboot” line items after each one.
The 1st batch of 130 some updates install without error.
Then the 1st reboot reboot occurs, and a 2nd set of 40 or so updates (that were dependent on the 1st batch of updates) installs.
    Then the 2nd reboot occurs.
Next a 3rd set of approximately 22+ updates, tries to install, but those 22+ updates are not even able to be installed into the CCM Cache because of  what appears to be a “Locked Up SCCM Client Agent”, that thinks another job is still in
    progress.

The following hotfix was released on June 28th 2011.
    KB2509007 - Software Update for ConfigMgr 2007 SP2 (KB2509007)
However even after applying it and re-attempting to run the updates, the same problem still occurs.
We even eliminated all the updates, as a test, to just try 5 of the updates from the 3rd set along with their required pre-requisite updates, and we still have the problem.
The SCCM Client Agent appears to be locked up in incorrectly thinking that another job is still in progress.
    Any ideas?

  • "Error downloading purchased music. Disk could not be read or written to.

I just purchased an album. It downloaded 23 of the 25 tracks until it gave me this error: "There was an error downloading your purchased music. The disk could not be read from or written to."
I double checked my hard drive space and found I had about 1 gig left, which is a small percentage of my harddrive, but plenty of space for a few songs. But, just to be sure, I deleted an old iMovie project to free up another 20 gigs. I restart the iMac and ran iTunes.
iTunes told me, "The file 'iTunes Library' does not appear to be a valid music library file. iTunes has attempted to recover your music library and renamed this file to 'iTunes library (Damaged).'" I pressed Ok to this message and the next, which asked if I wanted to download the rest of my purchased music. I held out hope that the songs would download -- that the iTunes and wonderously repaired itself.
Nope. It seems to actually download the songs, but fails to actually write them to disk. I check my permissions for the iTunes Library folder and I have read & write access. Furthermore, I ran Repair Permissions from Disk Utility. Still, no dice.
So, I thought I'd purchase a second album, just to see if it was the two songs (maybe corrupted). Now, I can't get any songs out of the new album in addition to the original two misfit songs. It seems that whatever happened has no prevented me from downloading and saving anything from the Music Store.
I am beginning to fear a hard drive failure, though everything else seems not to care (including iMovie 6). Does anyone have any other tips to offer? I'll give anything a try at this point. If worse comes to worse, I'll travel to my local Apple Store Genius Bar and see what they can do.
    Thanks in advance.

Answered my own question. After I thought I had tried everything, it occurred to me to Verify Disk. Doing so revealed a minor bitmap error. So, using my trusty install disk, I booted my machine to the disk and repaired it.
After the repair, I started iTunes and was able to download my songs. Unfortunately, my original library file was permanently damaged, so I had to start with a clean one. However, if the worst thing to happen to me in all this is that I have to redefine my playlists, then I'm better off.
I hope this thread helps someone in the future.

    Hi Amir.09395340646,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
What app are you trying to download? Is it iPhoto for iOS?  What error message are you receiving? The first thing I would suggest is to log out of your iTunes Store account on your iPhone. Then restart the device and log in again.
iOS: Changing the signed-in iTunes Store Apple ID account
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1311?viewlocale=en_US
If the above did not resolve your issue, follow the troubleshooting steps in the article below.
The link includes the complete details and screenshots, but I've highlighted a few points for you:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368
    - Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking on Check for Update in your device's Summary page in iTunes.
    - Check and verify that you are in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you are on a 3G capable device, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
    - Check to make sure you have an active internet connection. You can check the User Guide for your device for help with connecting to the internet.
