Error downloading CC 2014 apps

My team and I are trying to download the CC 2014 apps, but the downloads keep failing about halfway through with the following message: "The download appears corrupted. Please try again after a few minutes. (-60)"
We are behind a company firewall and have always been able to download updates for the CC apps without a problem (our IT team added the Adobe update servers to the proxy). Can anyone help us resolve this please?

  • Be very wary of downloading cc 2014 apps

    Foolishly I thought this would be no problem - download new versions but keep the old versions and check they're working first.
    Photoshop, fine apart from loss of interface colour and customised KB shortcuts, illustrator, fine.
    After Effects, fails on app launch and tells me to uninstall and reinstall. OK, but wait, the uninstaller also fails although recommends certain actions such as the Cleaner Tool.
    I try this and apparently all it did was clean away my previous version of AE.
    AE 2014 still fails and still can't be uninstalled.
    I can't reinstall the old version of AE from creative cloud.
    I've also restarted, repaired permissions, booted in safe mode, tried to force AE to download again.
    I've had tech support on who had to resort to using remote viewer to start digging around on my mac changing folder names to .old etc.
    Despite trying all sorts of things including setting up a new user, he couldn't resolve the issue so now I'm screwed and restoring my mac from yesterday using TimeMachine.
    This will take approx 2hrs so on top of the messing around earlier I'll have now lost half a day. And that's if the restore actually gives me back my previous AE which I'm currently sceptical of.
    Well done Adobe.

    Time Machine restore has failed to give me back the previous versions of my apps so now I'm still stuck without After Effects.
    Brilliant, I wonder what I'm going to do now.

  • My app says there was an error downloading and the app isn't appearing in my launchpad

    I downloaded two app games; civilization V and Lego Star Wars complete saga while at the airport.  I paused them to get on the flight, but it's been two days and I just got hooked up to wifi again.  I tried to press install, but it says 'an error has occured' and every time I try to hit install it says 'use purchases page to try again' but I'm on the purchases page.  Also, the icons are gone from my launchpad, but the games are not in my trash.

    from the App Store menu bar, then select View hidden purchases. Stop or resume the downloads.

    I'm getting errors for several CC 2014 applications. The CC desktop says "Installation Failed", and yet some have actually been installed despite the failed message.
    I also want to know if we can/should uninstall the old versions (CC and CC 64-bit) before (or after?) updating, because rather than upgrading the applications (which would have been nice), it just installs alongside them....so now I have 3 versions of Illustrator, 3 versions of PS, etc. I don't want all these versions, only the latest. Is it safe to uninstall the older versions (CC and CC 64) post-failed-installation of 2014, or should I just uninstall all and reinstall?

  • "Download Error" message in desktop app

    Had an issue with updated payment info not taking a little while back. Found out when the desktop app gave me the "download error" message and to contact customer service. Got the billing info squared away but the download error message I'm getting is still all I can get on the desktop app.
    I've tried signing out and signing back in, uninstalling the desktop app and reinstalling and still no joy. Anyone else having this issue? Or any insight as to what else I can try?

    I am trying to download an app on my new laptop. My internet works fine. Everything else is working, but CC keeps having this error message below. Please help.

    Because that's the way you setup your account. Whether the app is free or not is irelevent, apparently the payment method you selected when originally setting up your account is no longer valid, hence your account is not longer valid. Either fix your selected payment method or setup a new app store account without a credit card:

    I had this problem for about six weeks. I was following this forum but was too unsure of what might happen to try the fixes that were suggested.
    About two weeks ago I decided to delete the downloads.28.sqlitedb file (usingDiskAid(a free program), on a PC running Windows 7). The original downloads.28.sqlitedb was 936 KB. The new one that the system created is 80 Kb., and has stayed at about that size. After about four days I also deleted all the other contents of the Download folder. Ten days later and still no more problems. Downloads are much quicker, nothing greys-out (as was happening frequently before).
    Everything has worked well since with no more error messages.
    I am using an iPod 4G, iOS 5.1 (originally iOS 5.0). I do not have a manifest file, and as far as I know, have not had one. DiskAid can search the whole "hard drive" on the iPod.
    Deleting downloads.28.sqlitedb and the contents of Downloads worked for me.

    I've been getting this message now for the last couple of days.  I can download other apps on my phone with the same apple ID but have now experienced this on my Mac firstly when downloading Yosemite immediately after being asked for my ID password, and then having tested with a couple of other apps, so it's not related to the download.
    I'm using OS X 10.9.5 on a Mac Book Air.
    I've shut down on a number of occasions and tried again

    Back up all data before proceeding.
    Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

  • Download/Install Error with Creative Cloud App

    I have Windows 7... I have been a Creative Cloud member since the beginning... I know what I am doing. Anyways... suddenly, the Creative Cloud app that keeps track of your apps and updating them, etc. is jacked up. As far as I can tell, nothing changed on my end... perhaps Creative Cloud updated itself and caught a bug? When you go to the Apps tab, it says, "Download error, the Creative Cloud installation is no longer functioning, please uninstall and download again..." which I did twice now... rebootted and all that good stuff... the other tabs work - ie. Home, Assets and Community... and yes, I am signed in properly and have an active account. This isn't the first time this app has been a problem... Adobe has seemed to have issues with this app for awhile now - off and on... and from what I can see in the various forums, it's not just me with these issues.

  • "Download Error" in Creative Cloud App

    Help! Creative cloud no longer shows the apps that need to be updated. It just gives me this message "Download Error. Press retry to try again or contact customer support." Every time I click on "Reload Applications," it just gives me the same message. See image below.
    This has been happening for a month. I've restarted my mac and uninstalled & reinstalled Creative Cloud, but it didn't fix the issue. Log in info are all correct as well as billing info.

    I tried downloading the update in a new Admin account and it WORKED!
    For anyone else having the same problem, here is the other stuff that I tried that didn't work:
    - Changing from WiFi to wired internet connection. The wifi is running through an Apple AirPort station, with all the ports that Adobe uses open.
    - I looked up the permissions on my Library and they were set to Read/Write and still I couldn't download the update
    - I'm not running any security software that could be interfering with the download.
    - Deleting and reinstalling the Creative Cloud app didn't help.
    When I tried downloading Creative Cloud apps for the first time, it wouldn't work at my office so I had to take the computer offsite. It worked perfectly. I talked to IT support at work and they couldn't find any reason that a network setting was keeping the download from happening here. Still a mystery.
    For clarification, I was always able to sync fonts with Typekit through the CC app, just couldn't download PS and AE updates. I still haven't tried file sync with CC.

    Disable anti virus software.
    Turn off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security (or Security & Privacy) > Firewall
    If that doesn't help, open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
    Type this exactly as you see it here:
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
    Click Go
    Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
    Now here:
    ~/Library/Preferences
    Click Go
    Move these files from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
    com.apple.appstore.plist
    com.apple.storeagent.pllist
    Now here:
    ~/Library/Cookies
    Click Go
    Move the com.apple.appstore.plist file from the Cookies folder to the Trash.
    Empty the Trash, try the App Store.
