Error entering decimal values

I am entering a fee value on a contract template (Oracle Lease Management) in the amount of 11.70 and I’m getting an error telling me that "11.70 is not a valid number. Please re-enter". It works in one of our other test environments. So, wondering if that is some localization or a patch that might have caused the issue! Any thoughts would be appreciated!

The bug is that the system (R17) will allow you to enter a decimal Unit value (it will automatically compute the anticipated Revenue), but then gives you the error message when you attempt to save it. I am unable to find the Quantity field under available fields for Opportunity customization. Since I am Administrator, shouldn't it be available to me, or is it hidden?

  • Problem when Entering Decimal Values at Input Ready Query

    Hi Everyone,
I have created Input ready query but when I am going to enter decimal values in input cell it takes as a round of value.
Example:- If I enter 1.234 value at input cell it takes as a 1 or if I enter 1.789 value then it takes as a 2 at cell.
The technical properties of Key Figure at Info object level is,
    Radio Button :- Decimal
Drop Down :- FLTP (Floating Point)
But we want to whatever value will enter at input cell, the same value will save at real time info cube level.
Requirement :- If I enter 1.234 value at input cell it needs to take as a 1.234
    Please suggest your comments/views.
    Thanks
    Kind Regards

    Hi Giradkar,
Check the setting of the UOM you are using in table 'T006' there are 2 fields that indicate how to display and how to store the values with respective UOM.

  • OSS 650345 . Error : Enter Numeric Value

    Hi All,
I had applied the OSS Note 650345.
With this OSS Note we can Upload Data in Background
    for Transaction's KP06 & KP46.
While using Excel Upload in KP06 Transaction to upload the data it is working fine.
When I use the same file from Application server and with this OSS Note. I am getting an Error stating that Enter a Numeric Value.
I had used the same file.
If anyone had got faced similar problem, Pls suggest me.
Pls consider this as High Priority.
    Thanks
    Rajendra

    Hi Rajendra,
Your problem is NOT the program or the format of your Excel file.
The problem is, that on APPLICATION SERVER level there is NO MS OFFICE or MS EXCEL (or any compliant EXCEL reader) installed. Therefore in the background (or on application server level) SAP cannot read Excel files.

    Hello Srinivasa
Please check the forum Rules of Engagement - https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/HOME/RulesofEngagement.
Cross posting is not permitted. This issue is already raised in the application area forum which is probably correct. This does not look like a PI technical issue.

    Hi Srinivasa,
Use T. code OY01 and you can try 3rd option of decimal format that is 1234567, 89 for the same.

  • Error "enter a numeric value"  I am not getting this error when i directly

We are using BAPI "BAPI_ROUTING_CREATE". I am using an excel file for input. I am getting errors against Standard Values and Unit of measure of Standard Values while running the BAPI through an ABAP program.
    The errors are:
    1. enter a numeric value
    2. Enter a unit of dimension time for standard value
I am not getting this error when i directly run BAPI_ROUTING_CREATE through SE37.
    Kindly help

Hi, I had the same problem. Solution for me:
    OPERATION-ACTIVITY = <T>-ACTIVITY.   " activity for example "5"  ---> problem error "Enter a numeric value"
    OPERATION-ACTIVITY = <T>-ACTIVITY.   " activity for example "0005"  ---> no problem --> include leading 0
so I chanded <t>-activity field type to N(4) and no problem...
    Bye, B.

  • Error:Enter an expcted value

    Hi All,
When i am trying to create a Service Purchase requistions, with item category D and account assignment K,it is showing a error"Enter a Expected value".
In the limits tab,the expected value is greyed out.I am not able to enter any value on thuis file

    Hi,
The reason system issues error messg SE999 is that there is no service
line but only limits in your PR item. In this case it is mandatory to have
expected value filled as explained in the note 440601.
In your case,  the field expected value (ESUH-RESTNOLIM) is set to
'hide'.  In the case, when you create a service PR, in which
both limit as well as service lines are supposed to be maintained, you
must first maintain the service lines before you enter a limit, to avoid
the error message SE999 to be processed. This step will allow you to proceed without  the error message.
Otherwise if you would like to enter just limit values, please check in your customizing the field selection settings for the field expected value.
    Regards,

  • Custom Error Message in Value Help

    Hi,
In my application i have a Inputfield called "CLASS", for which i have added a value help..it has these values
    B    Business
    E    Economy
    F    First Class
    When the user enters a value(say "X") other than B, E, and F, it displays a message
    <b>String "X" does not match the enumeration</b>
I want to put my own message like " Please enter a valid value" instead of the above message.
Please let me know how to do this ?
    Thanks
    Senthil

    Senthil,
First, "looping through the list and checking the user entered value with values in the list" is possible only with non-validating actions. Using non-validating actions is a tricky task in real life.
Second, workarounds are possible, but they involves calculated attributes (like here: /people/valery.silaev/blog/2005/11/29/800format-your-way). Solving this problem generically (45 attributes is a good number to start with a generic solution) will result in solution with complexity comparable to this: https://weblogs.sdn.sap.com/pub/wlg/3309. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] Do you need such thing just to alter error message?

  • How to enter negative value in a currency field

    Hi Experts,
Please help me how to allow to enter negative value in a field on report selection.
I created a currency field on a report selection using PARAMETERS.
I can enter positive value in the field. But, I cannot enter negative value.
SAP shows an error message 00 126 "Specify positive values only".
I know I can place check ON at "with sign" option of the field in case I create the screen by myself.
However, I cannot do it on screen 1000 created by report program.
    Thanks,
    George

    Hi ,
I know I can place check ON at "with sign" option of the field in case I create the screen by myself.

  • How to disable "Enter Parameter Values" for optional paramters?

I'm having issues getting the Crystal Reports .NET Viewer to suppress the "Enter Parameter Values" dialog for optional parameters.  I have templates created using Crystal Reports 2008 and am linking against the CR for VS 2010 runtime.
Within the report template the optional paramter has "Optional Prompt" set to "True".  This particular parameter also allows multiple values and is used in record selection.  Within the record selection it is using HasValue().
It seems the parameter is set up properly as I have other parameters that are set within the code that are not prompted for.  If I pass in the optional parameter through the code the "Enter Paramater Values" dialog also does not appear and the report is generated correctly.  All of the parameters are set using ParameterFields and they are set before the ReportSource is set.
Looking through the .NET API documentation it seems like the CrystalReportViewer should have an "EnableParameterPrompt" property that would do what I want however it doesn't seem to be a valid parameter as I get compile errors when I try to use it...  Not sure if it matters or not but I am using managed C++ and our application is built using Visual Studio 2005.  Could that maybe have something to do with it?
    Thanks,
    -Ben

OK, I'm going to answer my own question as with a little more digging I was able to find out that I needed to set some stuff on the report document to specify that there are no values.  Still not sure why "EnableParameterPrompt" is not valid for me though as it seems like that would work as well.  At any rate here is what I needed to do:
    ReportDocument->ParameterFields[<Optional Parameter Name>]->CurrentValues->Clear();
    ReportDocument->ParameterFields[<Optional Parameter Name>]->CurrentValues->IsNoValue = true;
