Error FRM-50027 returning during compiling a form on AIX 5.3

Hello,
We are using designer and generator (10.1.2.0.2) to generate the forms (Forms Version 10.1.2.0.2) on Windows XP SP2.
On the windows environment everything, the generation and compilation, seems to be correct and running this form locally is no problem.
After this the form is deployed to the IBM/IAX server and compiled using f90cmp amd athe below error is received:
FRM-50027: Invalid format mask for given datatype.
Edit Item: BLNG_DATINGANG
Item: BLNG_DATINGANG
Block: BLNG
Form: RLBLNG1M
FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
Form not created
The item indicated is defined as a DATE item witrh a format mask 'DD-MM-RRRR'. The initial value is $$date$$ .
Can anybody give me a clue what is going wrong. Are there also some setting on the UNIX server which should be set of checked.

this was also the first thing i thought about. But setting NLS_LANG (AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P15) to the same value of my client is no solution. Bye the way i'm using the frmcmp_batch.sh to compile.

u should specify what u were trying to do while getting this object.
u need to install the latest Forms 6i path 17 to fit for the new db 10g.
if u have access to MetaLink there u can down load it easily...
if u have a db link then i suggest creating a view or public synonym and give the user all the privilages require on the new db connected to form 6i while connecting or accessing to previous user with old db.

I have a form that requires DML operations. This form is an EBS form will run in an 11.5.10.2 environment and developed using 6i. I am getting following error persistently
FRM-40743 - This operation with no base table requires the ON-LOCK trigger The form has one data block that is based on the view. The view is joined and based on following tables.

Hz_Cust_Accounts
Hz_Cust_Acct_Sites_All
Hz_Party_Sites
Hz_Locations

Hz_Cust_Site_Uses_All

The data block has following property set at block level
Key Mode - Non Updatable
DML Data Target Type - Table
DML Data Target Name - Custom_View1
Query Data Source Type - Table
Query Data Source Name - custom_view1
Also - One item under this block is set to Primary Key Yes.
As you can see, all settings are right. But still above error is persistent. Can any one shad light on why is this happening?

Getting error for classpath setting during compilation

Hi,
I tried sampel code of SchematronValidation bpel sample code from oracle site.But while compiling the code,I am getting following error:
Failed to compile bpel generated classes.
failure to compile the generated BPEL classes for BPEL process "SchematronValdiationProcess" of composite "default/SchematronValidation!1.0"
The class path setting is incorrect.
Ensure that the class path is set correctly. If this happens on the server side, verify that the custom classes or jars which this BPEL process is depending on are deployed correctly. Also verify that the run time is using the same release/version.
Plz help me on this to resolve!!!

Errors on wrong version during compiling

I'm new in JAVA, please help.
I am using "StringBuilder" class in my java program and I notited that it needs the JDK 1.5 compiler. AFter I installed the JDK 1.5.02 and I got this compilation error when I compile my program using JBuilder 5.
"Lottery.java": Error #: 750 : initialization error: com.borland.compiler.symtab.LoadError: class file has wrong version 49.0
Anybody out there can help?

You can't use 1.5.0 in JB5. I think you need JB2004 at least.

Error FRM:30312 when compiling webutil.pll
I download the webutil_1_6.zip, and implementing the configuration instructions arrived to the point that states to compile the webtutil.pll file, the compiler generates the error: FRM-30312: Failed to compile the library. Any idea.
The environment:
OAS: 9.0.4
OS: UNIX TRU 64 ver 1.5.b
Considerations:
I execute the create_webutil_db.sql in the required database.
Other pll and fmb files of my application compile without problems.
I configure the Webutil 1.6 in a Windows 2000 machine with Developer Suite 9.0.4 without problems.

How to get the java syntax errors?Redirect the STDOUT/STDERR from the the JAVA/JAVAC command to a file is one way...
For instance at the commmand line:
javac myClass.java > STDOUT.txt 2> STDERR.txt (Works for Unix variants or Windows OS's)
Then you can do what ever you want with the data contained in the files.

Error FRM-30312 while compiling a custom pll library on forms 11g weblogic

this is my case:
Im trying to upgrade a forms 10g application to 11g, using FORMS 11g v11.1.1.3 and WEBLOGIC server v10.3.3.
Forms files compiled correctly, also webutil.pll was correctly compiled.
but if I try to compile my custom pll I can see the error...
when I run application, this erros msg appears:
FRM-40735: ON-ERROR trig raised unhandled exception ORA-06508

I tried finding the string on the source code and delete or replace, but the only strings remainding are for example "RP2RRO_RUN_PRODUCT()", It looks like compiler finds the string within the entire word.
I need help.

I know rp2rro.pll was there, and I compiled it successfully, and place it to the correct folder.
but I did not know that my custom pll had the rp2rro as a program unit.
I solve this problem replacing the code inside my custom library with the rp2rro.pll code that comes with forms 11g

Forms 10g: error FRM-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during

AS10g (9.0.4.1) on windows 2000 with 2 GB of ram
We have an application with 10 - 15 users. Sometimes,when users exit from forms with the command exit_form, in a randomic way the form hangs with the error FRM-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during startup.....
After the users have to close the browser and open another sessione of explorer.
In the same time other users work fine.
The problem happens more then 10 times a day.
Is there a solution ?

I have also run into similar problem.
In my case, this problem has been carried over from Forms 6i to Forms 10g. In forms 6i it wrote an error file in the same folder where *.fmx file was stored.
For 10gAS, look into <ORACLE_HOME midtier>\forms90\trace folder for a file *.trc. Open it up in notepad. It will tell you which trigger was being executed when the form failed.
Put any comment in the PL/SQL of that trigger, recompile the form and the problem will go away.
I usually put something like:
dummy statement for FRM-92101.
I do not know why it works but in my case it has.

The problem was with a few environment variables. Our DBA has changed the convention of f90 and hence the change in environment variables.
The problem is solved now.

Oracle forms 6i error FRM-42401

i have created a master detail module and when trying to run it, it doesn't come with data when clicking on "execute query"
Instead it displays error
"FRM-42401 Performing program trigger ON_CLEAR_DETAILS on form"
can someone pls help to get rid of this error

Try out,
after you compile all again your form:
in WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE
Go_block('your-MASTER-block');
Execute_query;
and see what happen(I think, your focus go on Detail-block and when you click F8(excute-query) error happen )

HELP error FRM-40039: Cannot attach library common while opening form

I want to help me with the NEXT issue is urgent.
I'm working with forms 10g and using a linux server. To compile objects, forms, reports and menus use the Putty.
Well the issue is that when a form hanging linux server I get the error message sgte:
FRM-40039: Can not attach library while opening form common ....
I tried changing the path FORMS_PATH, also put the. PLL. Plx on those routes Server
but I have no result, I still leave the same message.
I go to pc urgently to solve this problem that has me worried for days.

Three possible causes:
1. The pll is not existnant on the linux-server in the FORMS_PATH or the FORMS_PATH-environment-variable is not set.
2. When attaching the pll to forms you have attached it without removing the path. Try to deattach and reattach the pll in the form.
3. The attachment of a pll is case-sensitive in linux. So, when you types the pll-name is lowercase when attaching it, the pll must exist in lowercase in the linux-filesystem.

Handling oracle forms errors (frm-nnnnn) locally

is there a way to handle an oracle form error (e.g. frm-40508) locally in a way similar to handle oracle database errors.
e.g.

an example i encoutnered recently, but by no means the only occasion i have wished such things:

This is called from a pre-pop-menu trigger. mouseRec and block are calculated previously. A right-click on a record item below the last record raises error frm-40741 (unable to locate record on block). it would be nice to be able to do something like the following without incolving an on-error trigger:

Error compiling custom form developed from template

Hi,
Could someone give suggestions.
1. Downloaded Template.fmb from the UNIX server.
2. Opened it in Forms Builder ver 6.0.8
3. Tried to generate it using Ctrl+T.
4. Got the following error:

Thanks for the inputs. I had downloaded all pll and plx from resource dir into the relevant dir of my local m/c. I have downlaoded the APPSTAND and APPTREE fmb also to the local directory. Where do you find the *.olb (object libraries) in the dir structure. The following command at $AU_TOP showed no files with olb extension
find . -name *.olb -print
Could anyone let me know where I am wrong?
