Error generating EDI 997 FA

Hi All,
I am getting the following error message when 997 is being generated. The 850 is being created successfully. Any idea what is wrong?

You can query for Business Actions using this:
select name, revision, cfg from tip_businessaction_rt;
If you do not have a lot of TPs and documents configured, I suggest that you purge the entire repository and start over. This way, you can start clean building the 850/997 scenario. Otherwise, you can also purge the retired configurations. This way, the excess 997 that may have been used previously are deleted.

Hi all,
Customer wants to the EDI 997 enabling for B2B They had set up Inbound 810 Transaction for a Remote Trading Partner and have used "EDIX12 over Generic Exchange" as the Exchange Proto. In the Operational Capability they have set the Is Functional Acknowledgement Required Property as True with the assumption that a EDI 997 will be generated for the corresponding EDI 810 received.But when they tested that with a sample file, they get error in B2B saying "Unable to identify the document protocol of the message" and it is showing the Business Action as Acknowledgement. They then set the property Is Functional Acknowledgement Required Property as False and tested but they are getting the same error.
Any pointers will be helpful.

I would briefly explain our set ups.
1. We have set up Remote Trading Partsnow which will send us an Inbound 810 Invoice file which has to be processed by B2B. The set up is working fine and the EDI file is getting translated to EDIFECS XML and there are no errors being
thrown.
2. As per the Business Requirement,a corresponding FA should be generated for the inbound 810 file. We set up the FA by referring to the B2B Technical note mentioned in the link below:

We created a new Business Action for FA and attached the Business Action to the Partsnow Trading Partner(remote trading partner) Agreement.
The FA is getting generated but it is not in the expected format. Many additional segments are also coming up in the output FA file.
We already have a TAR# 6174945.992 open for this issue but we are yet to get any resolution on this.
It would be great if you could provide some inputs on whether we are missing any set ups.

IDOC : error message 20 : Error triggering EDI subsystem

Hi,
I am creating an extended idoc for WP_PLU message type . I am sending the data from my LS to KU(Customer).
In WE20, I have configured the message type for that KU. I am using an XML port .
The problem is that the Idoc file is getting created properly but it is thowing this message : Error 20 : Error triggering EDI Subsystem.
In WE21 , I have ticked the Start subsytem radiobutton. I am not using any Middleware.It is simple data transfer .
Same thing is working file when I am assigning a File port instead of XML port.
Please help me on this urgently.

My problem solved, the issue was actually from the Functional configuration.
After debugging i found out that there's a option to generate a trigger file (related to POS Outbound). If you tick this option then maybe you have to maintain the download path somewhere.
My case is the option was ticked but system can't find the path.
SAP put as error message 20 in the IDOC status.
This maybe can explain also why i still can see my IDOC reached XI and file generated. Since the issue is not really related to any setting in IDOC but more to business configuration.

EDI 997 flow

Hi,
I am working on EDI transaction. We recieve EDI 101 transaction and send EDI 997 functional Ack.
I configured B2B to handle EDI 997 ack. I set Document Protocol Parameters in host side (ProcessBA_997 - 1.0) - Initiator and client partner side (ProcessBA_997 - 1.0) - Responder. B2B is able to send 997 transaction to configured transport protocol.
The issue is that B2B is taking the Document Protocol Parameters values (to generate ack) from Host side and not a client partner side parameters. This parameters will vary for client parnters.
Kindy advise me how to override the host side document protocol parameters. Thanks in advance.

If you want a custom FA as per the trading partner then better approach will be inserting the FA from backend.
Receive the message B2B to backend then change as per your requirement and insert FA again to B2B.

I am tirggering IDOC with standard t-code(WPMA) from SAP to middleware( It provides Sap Adapter ).
1) I have created TRFC port (SM59).
2) Defined the port(WE21)
3) Defined the Partner Profile(WE21) Outbound IDOC TYPE: wp_ean01
then, I tirgger IDOC with WPMA.
but , the status is :
       20 Error triggering EDI subsystem
       03 Data passed to port OK
            IDoc sent to SAP system or external program
       30 IDoc ready for dispatch (ALE service)
            Receiver exists , No filters , No conversion , Version conversion
        01 IDoc generated
It is strange that the middleware can receive the data which I send.
What is the problem?

First        : The RFC destination is OK, I can test it , the middleware can receive
                 the IDOC data.
Secondly : I define the port(WE21: Transcation RFC).there is another port
                 ( file port) in SAP, but I do not think it can trigger the processing.

I am getting error - Error triggering EDI subsystem- while posting Idocs in R/3 to XI.
But messages are reaching XI and final XML files also getting generated in outbound location, no issues.
I AM USING PARTNER PROFILE OF TYPE - KU(CUSTOMER)
Following are the status messages i could see in R/3 (tran code-WE05):

Getting error 20: Error triggering EDI subsystem while triggering IDOC for XI. But, messages are getting posted into XI and final XML files also getting generated in outbound location.
I am using partner profile of type customer in R/3.
Following are the status messages I could see in WE05.

While creating the Partner Profile, have you added something in the EDI Standard tab?
By default if the requirement is only to post an idoc to Xi, you need not add anything to the EDI standard tab for your outbound Idoc entry in We20.

For EDI you might be missing settings in:
1) Matrl Mng -> Purchasing -> Messages -> Output control -> Output types -> Define Message Types for Scheduling Agreement Release/Expediter -> Fine-Tuned Control: Forecast Delivery Schedule/Expediter (check one of the outputs for 9 and for A )
2) WE20 - EDI settings for partner that is a vendor who should receive your release information DELFOR / DELJIT (if you do not manage other EDI settings then also other WEDI setings should be maintained)

BI Publisher - PO_DISPATCH Error generating report output

Sorry for my bad english... having said that...
I need to modify the Purchase Order print. First, I wanted to see the standard version to get an idea of how much different it was. Well, I don't know because it doesn't work.
Error:
Error generating report output: (235,2309)
Error occurred during the process of generating the output file from template file, XML data file, and translation XLIFF file.
I know there are several topics on the web, but all of them are about new or custom reports, this is a standard one. When I preview the report on the report definition it works fine, so I assume there's a problem with the XML file generated. When I preview the report specifying an alternative XML I get the same error. The XML file I choose was the one generated by PeopleSoft when trying to view the printable version of the PO online.
So, I start cutting portions of the XML File. I started leaving only de Header Data and it works OK, when I add the Lines it failed. I add the Line Fields one by one to detect what was the problem... And finally it failed when I add AMT_LINE_MAX. Why? No idea, is it because its value is '0,000' instead of '0.000'? I don't think that should be the problem since there are other numeric fields on the header, all with ',' as a decimal separator...
Am I missing some configuration?

We have uninstalled and reinstalled the FSRM role service but are still having the same problem.

From the error message, it failed because of "invalid argument: storagetype = '101' ".
101 means the storage type is "system" + "cache". Is there any change on your storage before the issue occurs? For example whether the source storage is changed?

I'm attempting to create a simple interface which converts cutomer data from a flat file and loads it into a SAP enterprise system as an DEBMAS06 IDoc type. I am getting the error message Error - ATTRIBUTE_IDOC_METADATA - EDI: Error while assigning IDoc number in the XI message monitor.

Web AS 6.40 you can create a Web Service Proxy directly in Transaction SE80. Create a new package and right click on it. Choose Create -> Enterprise service / Web service -> Proxy object. Now you can choose how you want to provide the WSDL Source.

Error generating data provider-Query cant be released

Hello Experts,
I am working on web template (WAD 3.5) where i have 6 graphs each having independadnt data provider (Bex query).
I also have drop boxes which represents the selection screen of queries attached to graphs.
'Affected data providers list' of dropboxes consist of all data providers that are attached to graphs in template, as each graph is supposed to get refreshed if user changes drop box selection.
Template was working fine until i made the change to query 2 which is dataprovider 2 for graph 2.
Since then i am not able to run template it gives me error -
-The query cant be release for OLE DB for OLAP
-Query couldnt be open
-Error generating data provider.
As i checkd that qury independantly in query analyzer, its working perfect without any error.
What could be the possible reason for this error then??

Use the 'verify' icon in the query designer to check whether your query definition is correct. Also u you
can check if you can execute the query in the backend with transaction RSRT2. In RSRT2 try re-generating
the query before running it.
