Error in activating HTTPS service

Hi all,
We have ECC 5.0 based system on which I have exposed one RFC as a web service. I want to use this web service" with HTTPS protocol.
1) When I try to activate the HTTPS service through SMICM, I get the error -
<b>operation failed (rc=1)</b>
I guess 'rc' stands for return code. Any ideas why this happened ?
2) While creating the web service from RFC through wizard, I had kept the basic authentication only. Do I need to select Secure mode there ?

WSIF Binding Error while invoking HTTP Service

I am getting a WSIF binding error when invoking an HTTP service. I was able to successfully invoke another HTTP service on the same server. However, while invoking some of the others services, we are getting errors. The wsdl binding declaration is:

Hi,
Using the exact same wsdl i was able to get a response from the HTTP service using OSB. I created a business service targeting this wsdl. Then created a proxy service to route the xml to the business service.
I was able to successfully invoke and get response from the HTTP service without making any change to the wsdl.
Could this be a bug in BPEL PM? Should I raise an SR?

HTTPS Service activate in PI 7.1

Dears,
We activated HTTPS service on PI 7.1 in which we applied two types of license.
SSL server certificate that is applied on Server
Server CA certificate that we applied on IE whose default validity come with 3 months at time of creation.
Now my concern is do I need to generate a new license so that functioning of HTTPS could work properly.

If you have uploaded the client certificate on IE, then that should be fine. You don't need to generate any new license.
I would suggest you to go through the step-by-step SSL configuration documents. that should help you to get the root cause.

Http service unavailable on this node

Hi All,
Just a question for anyone who has seen this at all.
(Might be staring me in the eyes!)
I http to Fabric Interconnect (A) and java works fine. Type in the uname and password and log in to UCSM
I http to FI(B) and java work also fine prompting me for a uname and password. Once done I get an error message saying
"Http service unabailable on this node"
So then I log into the cluster address, log in to UCSM and check out the admin settings for http. They are bot enabled.
I then putty into each FI and do a status of http and https for both FI's. THey show as enabled.
If http is enabled on both FI's why is it that I can log into UCSM on one and not the other?

UCSM will only allow you to log into the Virtual IP when setup in a cluster configuraiton. Though you can SSH to either FI directly, you should only ever access UCSM from the Cluster IP.

our company buy the jes sysytem , when i use it . i find a error that make http service of message server often core down these days, i want to know the reason. here is the environment and the error message:

httpd problem seems to go away now. It's been up for two days without crashing.
But I got to tell you, applying patch on JES is not easy if you have customized webmail interface. And If you have multiple customized webmail interface, it's a lot of work. Mind you we only have 3 customized domains. The patch does not apply to those so you have to do it manually for each customized domains. Maybe I missed something, please tell me.
Sun should change the current implementation customized domains. For ISP like us planning to put 5000 domains on JES, that means 5000 links or directories on /opt/SUNWmsgsr/config/html to provide customized interface for each one. Again. maybe there is a different way that I don't know.

Web Dynpro-layout preview-Error-IE cannot display-service in SICF activated

Hello,
By starting a view in web dynpro framework, i have the error in tab layout "page cannot be displayed" from IE.
Before i make the change in the DNS and system32/../etc, the layout was displayed, but the web dynpro application cannot be started.
Now after those configurations and activation of services in SICF, i can start the web application only with firefox and not internet exploer, and, that internet explorer is preconfigured for the layout preview, i recieve all times the eror "cannot display" when i start a view in the layout tab.
1. How can i change settings so that view can be displayed in layout after i actived the (hope the suitables i.e. view designer) services in SICF - Default_host...
2. Is it possible to change IE to firefox as main browser for layout tab.
Note: For virtual domain i
1. add dns "domain.com" in the DNS
2. add in system32/etc/host file to "127.0.0.1 localhost", "10.10.0.10 sysserv.domain.com"
3. and trough tr. rz10 in the instance profil input the icm/.... ....domain.com
Through this three steps i could get the web dynpro application started,
but from the other side, the layout preview do not display the view again
and just send error the message: "THIS PROGRAM CANNOT DISPLAY THE WEBPAGE"

We have a multi domain parent child AD domain infrastructure and now we upgraded our exchange from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. Since last few days, we see the below error on the mailbox server event viewer.

Our Exchange setup is in parent domain, but we keep on getting this error for various domain controllers in each child domain in the same site. We then configured one of the parent domain domain controller on Exchange. Still we are getting this error for
the configured parent domain DC.
Verified the AD replication and there is no latency or pending stuffs.
Any support to resolve this issue will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

In addition to Ed's suggestion, I would like to clarify the following things for troubleshooting:
1. Please restart IIS at first.
2. If the issue persists, please ping your DC on your Exchange server to check if Exchange can communicate with DC.

Error During Activation of Web services

When I try to create a web services using RFC and try to complete the steps in the wizard. I am getting error message as "Error during Activation of web services". and also when configure service in wizard, im getting only two profiles as "Basic Authorization: SOAP PROFILE" and "Secure SOAP PROFILE". Kindly do the needful.

SOAMANAGER does not exist in my system (sp level 8), so node "/sap/bc/soap/rfc" should be active. Actually, it is active.
I think the problem is related to user rights/profiles.
I have tried to create another WS after assigning role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN. The same error when trying to activate it, but now, I can see this WS in SE80 (under "Enterprise Services->Service Definition"). It is not active there and if I try to activate it, a success message appears indicating that user "is not authorized to use function netzwerkadministration". I cannot see any new services in SICF...
Probably the new entry in SICF will be created after activating WS in SE80...
Do u know what user profile should I add in order to properly activate the WS in SE80?

I'm trying to call an external web service over HTTPS, and continually get the following error:
com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.wsdl.exceptions.WSDLException: Peer sent alert: Alert Fatal: handshake failure
I haven't tried doing this before, so not quite sure where to start. I have a client certificate that must be used to access the remote web service, and I think the problem is associating the client cert with the web service call.
Has anyone else tried this before? Any suggestions of where to look?
I've had a brief look at Key Storage in NWA, but it's not something I'm familiar with - so not sure if it's even the right place to be looking.
Some help on this would be great!

"Security error accessing url" - Accessing HTTP service running on another machine

Flex app is hosted as web service and is trying t access data
from HTTP Service
running on different machine. It throws following error

Sorted the cross domain problem by using mx:Webservice rather
than an httpservice.
