  • SelectOneMenu: Error finding converter for component

    I keep getting an error in my selectOneMenues saying
    "Error finding converter for component myselectone".
    The SelectOne elements contains both key and value as String.
    The value that is to be set in my bean is also a String.
    Why do I need a converter here and what is that converter supposed to be??
    Beacause of this, the selectOneMenu want post.

    Is the value which is bound to the selectOneMenu reachable?
    Try logging the getter-method of the bound value. When you bind the value to a nested bean, the bean might have not been initialized.
    I had the same problem with something like this
    I had a Person class with a nested person-attribute object.
    I bound the value of the selectOneMenu to one of the attributes of the nested person-attribute object, without instantiating the object first in the faces-config. After instantiating not only the person class as a managed bean but also the nested person-attribute object, all was well.

  • Transport error 202 bind failed address already in use

    how to rectify -- transport error 202 bind failed address already in use-- while running CA server
    i have created new production and pub server, first i runned production server after that while running CA server i got that error. if i run CA server independently its running

    It seems like a port conflict issue. You should check rmi and other ports in the configuration file for the component /atg/dynamo/Configuration in the localconfig of your production and publishing servers directories under <ATG>\home\servers. Also, your app server should be configured to run two separate instances for production and publishing server as per the http ports specified in /atg/dynamo/Configuration.

  • Had a Search Criteria and the result as table in header.Wanted to bind the result table to bean for the key value access

      Had Search Criteria and the result is displayed in the table in a panel header .  I want to get the selected  row value and parse the value to next Vo in next page for a bind variable . So i need to handle the  tbale value by biniding to the bean , but there was no option to bind the table for a bean.So how can i get the value selected .
    Regards,
    K M Krishna.

    First of all tell us your jdev version, please.
    to get to the selected row you don't need to bind the table to a managed bean. You can e.g. drag the needed attributes from the VO onto the page and drop them as inputText components. the Framework then generated the attribute bindings and sets the values of the current row to them. As you don't really need the inputText components switch to source mode (!this is essential!) and remove them. This will remove the visual component but the attribute bindings are kept.
    Know you can access the values via their EL or like you get the value from an attribute via it's binding.

  • Bind a UiComponent to manage bean

    Hi
       jdeveloper 11.1.1.7
    i need to refresh a inputText programatically .so
    How can i assign a inputText to  UiComponent in the managed bean ?
    thanks

    The parameter you pass to the addPartialTarget method is indeed the java representation of a ui component. In your code I miss the component you want to refresh.
    The normal way to get the component reference is to look it up in the page structure by its id. For this you can use e.g.
    Edwin Biemond's blog http://biemond.blogspot.com/2009/11/find-uicomponent-in-adf-task-flow.html
    Binding the component directly to the bean is only a possibility if the beans memory scope is request.

  • Error while Deleting Software Component

    Hi All,
    I am getting following error while deleting Software Component Version:
    Unable to Delete object DELETEDEMO_COMPONENET, 1.0 of delete.
    You cannot delete a sotware component version if it contains imported interfaces.
    Is there any shortcut isntead of deleting all objets manuually?
    Sri

    Hi Sri.
    It's very simple
    Solution:
    Double Click on Software Component, On Right Hand side >Go to Software Component Version->Delete the software component.If all the necessary Objects have been properly deleted, there will be no problem in Deleting the Software Componet version
    1) Delete the created Data Types, Message Types, Message Interfaces, Message Mappings, and Interface Mappings.
    2) There should be no Imported SAP Objects in the Software Component. If any delete them and activate changes.
    3) Delete all namespaces in the editor using sign. Do not save the changes.
    4) Delete the two default data types that are created in the Interface Objects-->Data Types of the software component version (ExchangeFaultdata, ExchangeLogdata). Now save changes for the s/w component version and activate the changes. Ignore the warnings that pop-up.
    5) The radio button for u201CInterface import should be at u201CNot permittedu201D instead of u201CImport RFC and IDoc Interfaces from SAP Systems Permittedu201D.
    6) Now go to Software component version menu in the right hand pane. Click on delete and the software component vanishes from left hand pane
    >> Is there any shortcut isntead of deleting all objets manuually?
    NO.. other way or any any shortcut for this

  • How can I bind a component to ADF?

    Hi all!
    I'm really new to OOP, Java, and JDeveloper. I managed to create a small ADF Swing application successfully through the wizards, help files, and examples.
    I want to incorporate the components of SwingX into it, specifically having auto-completion in my combobox.
    I did the following:
    import org.jdesktop.swingx.autocomplete.Configurator;
    JComboBox mycomboBox = [...];
    Configurator.enableAutoCompletion(mycomboBox);
    but when I run the form, mycombobox just displays "oracle.jbo.server.ViewRowImpl@2" and it doesn't auto-complete.
    Searching the forums, Erik said "If you are trying to bind the component using ADF, then you will have to create your own custom binding class. Depending on the component's needs, you might start with adapting the JUTextFieldBinding to work with your component.".
    Can someone point me to a "HOW-TO" guide for the above, esp. code samples etc...
    Thanks.

    Unfortunately, the solution is very complicated due to the way the JUComboboxBinding is implemented. It doesn't require a custom ADF binding class, however.
    I'll see if we are able to provide some of the pieces needed to duplicate what we have done to use SwingX auto-completion.
    Erik
    P.S. Let me know if you need to use a SwingX JXTreeTable. We do have a custom binding class for it that we should be able to share.

  • Invalid number error for bind dialog

    Oracle SQL Developer version 1.1.2.25 BUILD MAIN-25.79
    Running under WinXP
    Issue description:
    We get an invalid number error when bind variable filled with an enter in the bind dialog

    It is hard to say what is causing your problem without the specifics (ie query and value entered for the bind variable). Try running the same statement with the value of the bind variable in place of the bind variable (ie instead of running "select * from dual where dummy = :var" with a value of 'x' for :var, run "select * from dual where dummy = 'x'"). If you get the same error, then it is not an issue with the use of bind variables.
    Be aware that currently you cannot define the data type of bind variables (unlike TOAD, etc) and they are all treated as character values. I wouldn't have thought that this would cause you problem unless you are using a bind variable to restrict a numeric column to a specific value and you are entering a non-numeric bind (ie "select * from people where person_id = :id" and using 'xyz' as the value for :id).

    I searched for this class, and it is supposed to be in uic.jar. However, when I opened that jar file it was not there. Did I set something up wrong, or is this a bug in jdeveloper?

    When I am trying to open a VO inside JDeveloper for editing. The issue appears only to be with the VO's, even the ones that were automatically created at the start of the tutorial. Other types of objects can be opened for editing without incident.

    Hi,

    Hi vlsn,
    Can you try with the below code
    // in your backing bean
    OperationBinding operation = bindings.getOperationBinding("verifyLogin");
    //Put your both parameters here
    operation.getParamsMap().put("parameter_name1", parameterValue1);
    operation.getParamsMap().put("parameter_name2", parameterValue2);
    operation.execute();
    if (operation.getResult() != null) {
    Boolean result = (Boolean) operation.getResult();
    and share the result.

  • Deployment descriptor error for an EJB 3.0 entity bean module

    Hi all,
    i'm facing an error deploying an EJB 3.0 entity bean module wrapped in an enterprise application on WebLogic 10.
    The application is composed as follows:
    WASEnterprise.ear
    |-META-INF
    |-application.xml
    |-WAS.jar
    |-META-INF
    |-persistence.xml
    In other words the application server is unable to load persistence.xml deployment descriptor and,during deployment, it throws an error message like this:
    <Error> <J2EE> <BEA-160197> <Unable to load descriptor C:\bea\user_projects\domains\base_domain\autodeploy\WASEnterprise\WAS/META-INF/persistence.xml of module WAS. The error is weblogic.descriptor.DescriptorException: Unmarshaller failed
    I suppose that the persistence.xml is correct since i can deploy the application on jboss without any problem.
    The persistence.xml deployment descriptor is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <persistence>
    <persistence-unit name="CNT4">
    <non-jta-data-source>cnt5ds</non-jta-data-source>
    <class>it.eni.italgas.was.db.entity.AsiDisco</class>
    <class>it.eni.italgas.was.db.entity.AsiErrori</class>
    <class>it.eni.italgas.was.db.entity.WasAsiRouting</class>
    <class>it.eni.italgas.was.db.entity.WasAsiRoutingId</class>
    <class>it.eni.italgas.was.db.entity.WasAsiSchemas</class>
    </persistence-unit>
    </persistence>
    and the application.xml deployment descriptor is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <application xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" version="5" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/application_5.xsd">
    <display-name>WASEnterprise</display-name>
    <module id="myeclipse.1188512259959">
    <ejb>WAS.jar</ejb>
    </module>
    </application>
    I don't use any other weblogic specific deployment descriptor.
    Have you ever experienced such a strange behaviour? Can you suggest something to solve the problem?
    Thanks inadvance.

    Hey Nicolas
    We are experiencing a similar error. It appears when we try to create a conditional formatting rule on one of the reports.
    Were you able to find a solution to this?
