Error in Connecting the Oracle Attunity Source in SSIS package

Hi ,
May this question might have been posted before but as far as i am concerned i was not able to find the solution i am looking after , so please help me out on this .
I am using the Oracle Attunity Software to connect to the Oracle source and the Testing is also successful but during Run time the Attunity Oracle source is failing and the Error found was as shown below
[Oracle Source [65]] Error: The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager Oracle Connector 1 failed with error code 0x80004005. There may be error messages posted before this with more information on why the AcquireConnection method
call failed.

Warning: SSIS Warning Code DTS_W_MAXIMUMERRORCOUNTREACHED. The Execution method succeeded, but the number of errors raised (5) reached the maximum allowed (1); resulting in failure. This occurs when the number of errors reaches the number specified
in MaximumErrorCount. Change the MaximumErrorCount or fix the errors.
I have tried the following solutions like changing the "Run64BitRuntime" to False also but its not working and i have even tried converting my package Protection Level with the "EncryptSensitiveWithPassword" but still of no use

If the SQL Server Integration Services is Enterprise or Developer edition of SQL Server 2008, we can use
Microsoft Connector Version 1.2 for Oracle to connect Oracle databases with version Oracle 9.2.0.4 or higher, Oracle 10.x or Oracle 11.x. If the SQL Server Integration Services is Enterprise or Developer edition of SQL Server 2012, we can use
Microsoft Connector Version 2.0 for Oracle to connect Oracle databases with version Oracle 9.2.0.4 or higher, Oracle 10.x or Oracle 11.x.
While if we want to connect to other Oracle version databases, we can use
OLE DB provider for Oracle which has been tested in SSIS labs and is recommended by Microsoft.

I have an SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) Package that reads a view on Oracle and loads data into table in SQL Server 2005. This is on a Windows 2008 Server (64-bit). SQL Server 2005 with SP3. Oracle Client 11g (32 bit & 64 bit) Runtime Version installed on server. The server has been rebooted since installing OracleClient.

When I execute this same exact package as a SQLAgent job 32-bit (type Operating System CmdExec) it runs successfully. When I run the package using the Execute Package Utility, it runs successfully. When I am editting the package in BIDS I can connect to Oracle. For both 64 and 32 bit, I use a dtsconfig file which specifies the Oracle connection string and password.
Someone mentioned on another forum that maybe there is no Oracle ODBC driver for 64-bit Windows. I would assume that the OracleClient 64-bit would include that.
I hope I have included all info needed. Please let me know if you may have a resolution to this problem.

I was trying to transfer data from oracle to sql server 2008 on a daily basis.
I have very hard time connecting to oracle from ssis package on windows server 2008. I am almost dead and cannot find any help. i was able to connect to oracle using import/export 64 bit feature of SQL Server 2008 using Oracle provider for OLEDB. But I am not sure why the same does not work with BIDS?
Here's the environment info:
1. Oracle Client 10g
2. SQL Server 2008
3. Windows Server 2008

Using Oracle Data Source in SSIS using Attunity

I am using the oracle data source in SSIS.
* Created the expression that will have query to select source column.
* I need to extract only rows having specific date. This date is a dynamic one i.e Created a variable1 which will be update by function call(return type is datetime) for time being i have assigned the
value(datetime type).
* I have created one more variable2(string type) which will extract only date(dd-mon-yyyy). Below is the query i used.

I have tried different formats like enclosing that between quotes(shows same error), then used to_Date() in oracle again shows same error.
If i hard code the value instead of @[User::Date] means its working well.
SomeOne please help me why that error is showing. I cant able to figure out. trying for whole day. PLEASE.

Not able to connect to Oracle Data source in Oracle Essbase Studio 11.1.2.2

Hi,
When i tried to connect to Oracle data source, i get this error "Unable to establigh connection. Ensure that the server is running, the user name and password are correct, and the ohter data fields match the server's configuration" when i tried to select database.
If i change server name from to localhost, it allows to select database and does not give any error. but clicking on next button says localhost is not accepted, it needs machine name. Then how to connect to Oracle Data source?

It is possible the Oracle db has not been installed correctly, I take this is a personal install on a laptop, if so did you install the loopback adaptor.
Have you tried the connection using the ip of the machine.

As per your suggestion , if we disable the trigger , does it workflow goes ahead without any problems ?
By Disabling the trigger , what would be the impact ? I mean does we are going to loose the data that was supposed to be updated the trigger.
And basically please educate me . what is the use of this APPS.ALR_PAY_ELEMENT_801_53338_IAR’ ?

Oracle Support told me that I need this patches because of some other problem (generating wsdl and deploy for BOM_BO_PUB package does not work in my environment) and since that, the process_item call stopped working!

Dear Techies,
We have registered an Extra Information Type as self service OAF page and did some validations using user hook which are working fine. But for some requests EIT creation page is throwing below errors.
1. Encountered an error while getting the ORACLE user account for your concurrent request. Contact your system administrator.
2. An unexpected situation occurred while executing routine FND_DATA_SECURITY.GET_SECURITY_PREDICATE_HELPER.The cause was: The parameter 'p_object_name' cannot be 'GLOBAL'.
System throws these errors whenever user hook suppose to throw our customized validation messages.Since we are at UAT instance, we are bouncing apache and oacore to get rid of these errors every time they appear. But we cannot bounce once it is moved to production.
Kindly share some ideas to fix these errors as we are very close to Go-Live and we are facing this issue with all EIT's and SIT's.

Thanks for reply.
I have gone through the link that you have suggested. But our EIT user hook validations doesn't have any code related to submission of concurrent programs. More over our error is not stable. If we bounce the apache and oacore, the system will work fine without unexpected errors for some time. We are not even able to replicate these errors.

Maintaining the structure of a SQL Server staging area and dwh aligned with the Oracle data source

I'm working in a context where the data source system, in Oracle, is a continuos work in progress. Each 1-2-3 weeks the data source system in the prod environment is updated with new tables or updated table (with new columns or altered columns). So, it is
important to apply in a rapid manner the related changes in the data structure of the SQL Server staging area and dwh.
The issues to solve are:
a. maintaining SQL Server data structure of the staging area aligned with the data structure of the Oracle data source;
b. maintaing SQL Server data structure of the staging area aligned with the data structure of the SQL Server staging area.
In order to solve these issues it could be useful to think to an authomatic manner to alert when a data structure change occurs and a simple manner to apply the changes on SQL Server data structure.

We use Oracle CDC service in SQLServer. It has a flag to indicate the schema changes happening at the Oracle end. We track the schema changes using it and then apply changes to sqlserver side. And regarding automation you can use Biml as suggested or .NET
scripts inside script task.

I want to connect the Oracle which install on Linux using Odbc, so my win98 machine can connect with the oracle.
But I don't know how to do ? May I install some Odbc driver in the Linux machine? and install odbc driver in my win98 machine?
