Error while creating CVC manually in SCM 7.0
Hi Experts,
We have recently upgraded to SCM 7.0 sandbox and while creating a new CVC manually in this , we are getting the following strange error:
Internal Error /SAPAPO/SCMB_PSTRU_PLOB_TEMPL=>RAISE_EXCEPTION_FRO
Message no. /SAPAPO/SCMB_PSTRU000
We have run the CONS CHECK for POS and PA both and reinitialised the planning area as well but no success.
Your advice in this regards would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
SAUMIL SHAHHi SAUMIL SHAH
It looks like POS TEMPLATE coding seems to has problem.
For each POS, there are special programs are generated from tempalte coding.
I guess current coding that your POS has seems to have problem.
to regenerate the code, I recommend you to re-activate pos.
go to /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN -> display pos ->select activate. (by conducting addtional activation,
generated coding might be fixed).
Best Regards

*4) I create password file, how the oracle will know password file for which database (in this case mynewdb database)? How to map password file with particular database?*
Thanks and Regards,
SachinHi,
not any thing new from the already given answer. But, i hope this examples gives more clarity.
Answers below:
1) ORACLE_SID is the answer
2) see the output below.
SQL> startup nomount
ORACLE instance started.
Total System Global Area 61785680 bytes
Fixed Size 730704 bytes
Variable Size 58720256 bytes

SQL>
SQL> show parameter db_name

VALUE
db_name string
mytestdB
3) Check environment variables for ORACLE_HOME variable will let you know the location of the PFILE. By default it will be ORACLE_HOME/database (windows), ORACLE_HOME/dbs (LINUX/UNIX).
SET command will help you or use widows options.
In some other cases, the PFILE contains the link to it with IFILE value left in PFILE which should show the location.
4) Check environment variables for ORACLE_HOME variable will let you know the location of the password file. By default it will be expected in ORACLE_HOME/database (windows), ORACLE_HOME/dbs (LINUX/UNIX).

If the parameter file specifies an undo tablespace which doesn't exist, the instance blows up.
The advice to read the alert log would be useful at this point, because the mismatch of undo tablespace names is always recorded properly there (which always makes me annoyed that the original error message can't be a bit more precise!) -

Error while creating a Development plan template
Hi Gurus,
I am facing errors while creating Development Plan Template.
This is how it goes :
When i click on Define Forms for Talent Assessment --> a wizard pops up & i select Development Plan :
In first step, I am giving Title,Integration with SAP Learning Solution (check) & a rating scale.
Now after clicking next, I am adding 2 development areas :
1) Training
2) Mentoring,
now as soon as I'm clicking on End Configuration, It displays 2 errors & 1 warning message :
error1 : Element Appraisal Template 'XXXXX' contains errors.Cannot change status.
error2 : Value type 000000XXX of value class Q does not exists
Warning 1 : You have maintained a description that is not displayed.
In PHAP_CATALOG, when I'm trying to manually release the Criterion Group (VB) or Appraisal template (VA), it does not allow me to do it.
Kindly let me know how to proceed further.
Regards
bhartiHi,
Even though it gives the error, the new RTF template is uploaded and it is reflected when I query the template again.
But when I run the Concurent program and see the output, the output still shows me the old template.

Error while creating a new asset in BCC.
Getting below errors while creating a new asset(catalog/category) through BCC. I have imported the required data from CIM and install.bat from BIZUI.
/atg/dynamo/servlet/sessiontracking/GenericSessionManager/KDzDSgGcJTS9nwvGpkr9wpyz4nnGKWPYs4QFFJ87Q1BjrTSd4JTG!1759330809!1386235100684
atg.web.viewmapping.ItemMappingException: Invalid Mapping Mode: AssetManager.default
[Flex Messaging] 12/05/2013 14:50:45.486 [ERROR] [Message.Remoting] Error processing remote invocation: atg.flex.service.RemoteOperationException: java.lang.NullPointerException
Kindly suggest...As u imported data from CIM for production and publishing(assuming u imported for both), There is no need to run BIZUI.bat mannually, CIM runs this.
Coming to ur error:
From the logs it seems that following mapMode is missing, It's OOTB and should have been loaded while Viewmapping repository data load.
<add-item item-descriptor="mapMode" id="AmMmDef">
<set-property name="name"><![CDATA[AssetManager.default]]></set-property>
</add-item>
I think there must have been problems during CIM data for publishing environment loading and because of that viemmapping is not loaded properly.
Refer to this post for initial data load : Re: ATG ENVIRONMENT SETUP ISSUE
Let us know if u didn't load publishing using CIM, there is some manual work required to load some repository.
Thanks,
Nitin. -

Now the weird thing is this. He got this error, and the user WAS STILL added to our user lists. This doesn't happen all the time, as in the logs he created a user minutes before this one and he did not receive any errors.
This is just something that we do not want to have happen. Does anyone have any idea of what may have caused this and what I can do to prevent this from happening again.
I cannot find any info on this BEA-423137 error anywhere on the site and I was wondering if someone would be able to help me out.
Thanks,
GarretNevermind everyone. I figured out that I can do a manual change and just add the user to one of the groups and everything should be ok. Something happened silently within the system that caused it.

Error while creating request list Unable to detect the SAP system directory
We are upgrading SAP BW (NW 7.0 EHP1) to SAP BW (NW 7.3)
source OS: Windows 2008 R2, source DB: MSSQL server 2008 R2 SP1 CU3
I had started the upgrade by running: STARTUP.BAT
I had started the DSUGui on the server (CI / DB on the same server) from: D:\usr\sap\BP1\upg\sdt\exe\DSUGui.bat
I ran both programs (run as administrators).
Once SAP Gui connects and was able to create userid/ password and when ready to start the initialization phase (click next)
gives me the error
Error while creating request list - see preceeding messages. Unable to detect the SAP system directory on the local host
I had tried STARTUP.BAT "jce_policy_zip=Z:\export-import\downloads\jce_policy-6' and still the same error.
I had started DSUGui.bat with trace and the trace file contents are

I have the same problem -
Error in creating IO file handles for job (number 3152513)
Hi All -
I am using Tidal 5.3.1.307. And the Windows agent that is running these jobs is at 3.0.2.05.
Basically the error in the subject was received when starting a particular job once it was cancelled and a couple of other different jobs a few days before. These jobs have run successfully in the past.
This particular job was running for 500+ minutes when it should run at an estimated 40 minutes. At that time it would not allow for a re-start of the job, it just stayed in a launched status.
Trying to figure out what causes this error.
Error in creating IO file handles for job 3152513
Note - from that being said we were to see 2 instances of this process running at the same time, we noticed some blocking on the DB side of things.
Trying to figure out if this is a known tidal issue or a coding issue or both.
Another side note, after cancelling the 2nd rerun attempt the following error was encountered: Error activating job, Duplicate.
When we did receive the Error creating IO file, the job did actually restart, but Tidal actually lost hooks into it and the query was still running as an orphan on the db server.
Thanks All!The server to reboot is the agent server. You can try stopping the agent and then manually deleting the file. That may work. When the agent is running the agent process may keep the file locked, so rebooting may not be sufficient.
The numerical folders are found as sub-directories off of the services directory I mentioned. I think the numbers correspond to the job type, so one number corresponds to standard jobs, another to FTP jobs. I'd just look in the numbered directories until you find a filename matching the job number.
The extensions don't really matter since you will want to delete all files that match your job number. There should only be one or two files that you need to delete and they should all be in the same numbered sub-directory.
As to the root cause of the problem, I can't really say since it doesn't happen very often. My recollection is that it is either caused by a job blowing up spectacularly (e.g. a memory leak in the program being launched by Tidal) or someone doing something atypical with the client.
