Error in creating RCU

Hi,
I am trying to carete RCU to install OSB 11g.
But while RCU craetion when i give DB caredentials the wizard syas cannot conenct to DB time out.
But i am able to log in to DB from cmd.
Also i tired to install OSB with out OWSM policy so that no DB is requiersd but Admin is not getting strated.
Any pointers on the same will be more helpful.

Are you sure that you're using the correct config.bat or config.sh? There are multiple and it's very easy to mistakenly use the incorrect one if you're not paying very close attention.
If you're sure you're using the correct config script, then make sure that you execute the commEnv.bat or commEnv.sh and setWLSEnv.bat or setWLSEnv.sh before running the config script. These files will set some variables that the script will be looking for.

Oracle Discoverer 11g Error to create a new public connection

Hi,
Since i have install a new Discoverer 11g, i got this error.
A connection error.
- error while creating the session, check for other errors.
- oracle.discoiv.connections.ConnectionStoreException: While trying to lookup 'jdbc.disco_pstore' didn't find subcontext 'jdbc'. Resolved ''

unable to retrieve connection list

The installation is an stand-alone without OID but i know why - jdbc looking to the metadata of the pstore.
The database schemas are created and populated by RCU by i cannot use the STAND ALONE mode.

Error in Installing RCU for Oracle Webcenter Content Imaging

I am comming across this error while installing RCU for Oracle Webcenter Imaging with Mircosoft SQL 2005 as the backend database. I am pasting the IPM.log file below which shows the error during the installation. Please help me from this.

I just had this messages yesterday during my install.
You have to update those 2 files:
<RCU Home>\rcu\integration\ipm\sql\createtables_ipm_sqlserver.sql
<RCU Home>\rcu\integration\ipm\sql\createuser_ipm_sqlserver.sql
The first 2 lines begin with "Rem ..." which is not correct for SQL Server : I added "--" and it worked.

Error in Creating schema

Hi,
I'm trying to install Oracle webcenter poratl by following the below linked mentioned
As per the guide am trying to create schema,, am getting the error mentioned below
Error: Oracle Initialization Parameter 'PROCESSES' is too low.
Cause: The Oracle Initialization Parameter 'PROCESSES' must be at least 200.
Action: Change the Database Initialization Parameter 'PROCESSES' to 200 or more, then rerun RCU.
I changed the processes=200 in init.ora file & restarted the DB 11g..
Still facing the same error while creating schema.
Any one familiar with this kinda issue.

Check if Value for processes is more than desired value.
If using spfile , you can change it as :->

Hi Kirran,
Please see if you have defined a status scheme and assigned it to the recipe type. Before defining a status scheme, you must complete the one time IMG activity 'Collect Object Types and Assigned Attributes' under Recipe Development > Status Management. Then in the next node you define individual statuses and a scheme with transitions. For each status, you must define 'field value' for the field RCP_USAGE which is nothing but a value from Recipe Purposes customizing.

I have got an error while creating a PO with an Internal Order. I am trying to post this PO against an Internal Order. The error message says that:
User status BUDG is active (ORD 10034). When I click the perform assistant, it says that according to this status, transaction 'Material purchase order' is not allowed.
Can somebody plss help me in this regards, I will assign points.

What you enter in the Cost element master data is only for defaulting the cost center or order when you use that GL account.
When you see a message transction requires an account assignment, you can enter the relevant cost center for which the cost is incurred.
For your information, If an order has been marked as statistical, you can find it in KO02 change order > Control data. there may be check box saying statistical. If it is not available, then, you can't make it statistical until, you make that field available for change for the order type. Usually orders of a particular type can be made as statistical, by providing a model order to the order type. In the model order you specify that it will be statistical.

Getting error while creating the variable of Schema Element type

Hi everybody,
For creating a variable of schema element type I am doing the following steps...
Select 'Variables' after right clicking on bpel process. IN this window, go to 'Create VAriable' then select 'Element' type. Now in Type Choose, I expanded the my imported schema files. And selected a element type, then click ok to create this variable... I am getting the message...
IN ORDER TO SAVE IMPORTED WSDL/SCHEMA FILES, YOU MUST HAVE A PARTNER LINK LOCATED UNDER THE CURRENT PROJECT DIRECTORY.
What is mean by that.
I have imported the schema files in project. AFter that I have imported them into the WSDL also. Now why I am getting error while creating the variable. However I can create variable directly in .BPEL file then everything is fine. And it is working also. But what is mean with the above error? Why I am not able to create variable through GUI?

The idea is that the jdeveloper is not very good working with directories with spaces on the directory name. If you move all your work to a directory without spaces, it will work smoothly. At least, it had worked for me.

Error while creating a Development plan template

Hi Gurus,
I am facing errors while creating Development Plan Template.
This is how it goes :
When i click on Define Forms for Talent Assessment --> a wizard pops up & i select Development Plan :
In first step, I am giving Title,Integration with SAP Learning Solution (check) & a rating scale.
Now after clicking next, I am adding 2 development areas :
1) Training
2) Mentoring,
now as soon as I'm clicking on End Configuration, It displays 2 errors & 1 warning message :
error1 : Element Appraisal Template 'XXXXX' contains errors.Cannot change status.
error2 : Value type 000000XXX of value class Q does not exists
Warning 1 : You have maintained a description that is not displayed.
In PHAP_CATALOG, when I'm trying to manually release the Criterion Group (VB) or Appraisal template (VA), it does not allow me to do it.
Kindly let me know how to proceed further.

Even though it gives the error,the new RTF template is uploaded and it is reflected when I query the template again.
But when I run the Concurent program and see the output,the output still shows me the old template.

hi all, i am new to OAF i have created a login page and trying to validate to a custom table which had two columns username and password, i am calling function from controller class which is in AM and from AM in turn i am calling function in VOimpl.java file where i am executing my query with whereClause, i am passing two parametere username and password to this function.

If your requirement is not to update any DB Table then don't use an EO. I would suggest the following for your requirement of validating the username and password.
- Create a VO that has the following query. Do not select any EO during the VO creation.
          SELECT 'x'
          FROM <CUSTOM TABLE>
          WHERE <USERNAME COL> = :1
              AND <PASSWORD COL> = :2
        - Have the initQuery(..) Method in your VOImpl, that takes the username and password. Binds them to the VO and executes the query.
- Have a method in your AM to take the username and password as parameters. Make a call to the above VO::initQuery(..)
- In your controller's processFormRequest(..) call this AM Method upon the submit button action.
This should work smoothly.
The following is just for triaging the error that you have. The above steps, should help you achieve your requirement by itself, the below steps would not be required.
Coming back to your issue. Any custom table should have the standard WHO Columns.
- Modify the custom table to have these who columns.
- In the EO Wizard, synchronize the EO to reflect the DB Structure.
- Make sure the EO Attributes are marked updatable.
Cause of your issue: Through you are not creating EO rows programatically, whenever a VO is based on an EO, upon execution of the VO query, EO's are automatically created, based on the number of rows returned by the VO Query. So internally its failing to created the EO Rows. On of the common reason would be that it creates the EO row, but cannot set the attributes from the VO, because the EO Attribute is readonly.
