anything to be exported??
can anybody please help me out in solving this problem.
thanks in advance ,

You state you have dropped the tablespace (which does not necessarily automatically drop the datafiles in version 9i); and
You state you are trying to locate the tablespace's datafiles in a new file system where no files should exist.
Please post response to
ls -ld /server47/Bankareas/CFC/oracledatafiles
ls -l /server47/Bankareas/CFC/oracledatafiles/globusdataxml01.dbf

30EA3 - multiple errors in "Create Tablespace" dialog box
I have noticed the following errors in the "Create Tablespace" dialog box (in the DBA view).
1) In the "File Specifications" tab, if you try to use a period in the file name (for example "data01.dbf") , you get an error message "Validation Failed: Name DATA01.DBF contains an illegal character."
2) The tool is automatically changing the case of the file name to all upper case. You can work around this by enclosing the file name in quotes, but you shouldn't have to do that.
Overall, I've been real happy with the product, and that Oracle keeps improving it.I've also run into this, recently, in version 3 on Windows 7 (db is version 10g on Solaris 10/SPARC64). Although the error message is now "Name TABLESPACENAME.DBF contains an illegal character." Also found the described capitalization overriding what user types in.

Hi all
I am trying to create a tablespace, but i am getting the following error.
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-06553: PLS-213: package STANDARD not accessible
This is my command
create tablespace dummy_ts
logging
datafile '/home/oracle/admin/content/dummy_tblsp.dbf'
size 32m
autoextend on
next 32m maxsize 2048m
extent management local;
I dont know the reason why its happening.connect to the database as sys.
alter package dbms_standard compile
should resolve it.
However this message is usually a sign of bigger problems.
In that case you should run
$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catalog.sql and
$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catproc.sql

Error encounter while trying to create tablespace
Hello to everyone out there..
I have a problem guys, i was trying to create a new table space using my SQL developer
i already login as sys/sysdba, but when i run the script it returns a error--->
"QL Error: ORA-01119: error in creating database file '/APP/ORACLE/ORADATA/TPD/DATA1/REPORT.DBF'
ORA-27040: file create error, unable to create file
Linux-x86_64 Error: 2: No such file or directory
01119. 00000 - "error in creating database file '%s'"
I also have a question, how do i search for the datafiles directory/folders/location of the datafile.?
everyone please help me....Are you sure that all components of the pathname are in uppercase? In Linux, case matters and +/file+ is not the same as +/FiLe+ so review that carefully.

Error in Creating Request - Access Enforcer
Hi,
When using copy request option to create a request similar to another user and creating 10 user IDs simillar to other ID, Iam getting error" error in creating request".
When I look at log report it is giving Ora-XXXXXX error Unable to save the request.
How to fix this issue?
Thank you,
VijayHi,
This looks more like an Oracle problem; did you check everything's ok regarding tablespaces, redo-log, available space for tables, indexes, etc.

Regards,
Bhatiahi
what are the apps version local and remote database???
Snapshot too old errors occur because Oracle can 't reconstruct a consistent
image of a block for the purposes of a consistent read.
I feel at remote database, you are using UNDO, it will be rather easy to iincrease the undo retention time or increase the undo tablespace size.. if you are dealing with roll back segments, you may have rollback segments whose optimal values are too small...
increase roll back segments size and select again then

ORA-12571 error while creating packages from Windows clients
Hello,
We are facing the ORA-12571 error while creating / replacing packages from Windows Clients connected to a 8.1.7.2.0 db on a Solaris server.
However, there are
1. no errors in connecting and creating transactions from a Sql session
2. no errors in creating / replacing unwrapped/wrapped small (few lines) packages
3. no errors in connecting from a Unix session (remote telnet sessions inclusive).
This happens only when creating wrapped/unwrapped packages, source code of which is greater than 500 kb approx.
Can somebody help me resolve this issue. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards.
Lakshmanan, KUpdate: I had unintentionally left my custom tablespace in READONLY state after an earlier experiment with transportable tablespaces. After putting the tablespace back into READ WRITE mode and creating a new template, I was successfully able to create a new db from the template.
I'm still a little curious why this procedure wouldn't work properly with a READONLY tablespace, however.
