  • Readymade Dashboards using R3 Connection

    Dear All
Is there any readymade dashboards avaialble in Service Market Place or any SAP site, which uses R3 as connection and not BW.
If so kindly provide details.  I was instructed that SAP already provides some readymade dashboards to the customers..
I searched for it but not able to locate.
Kindly indicate if it is so..
    Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi,
I guess you are talking about dashboard using web services  consuming R/3 data. But from a demo dashboard you cannot view the underlying data connection. Refer below links for demo dashboards. But those dashboards would be either exported version or XLF file. You can open XLF file with source excel data in your designer and view.
You can search for details about creating dashboard using R/3 data.
    links to dashboard demo.

  • Error: The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager failed with error code 0xC0202009 using DB2 connection

I have a SSIS project that I am newly running on the SQL server (2005) .  It was previously run on my PC.  I am importing data from a DB2 server to the SQL server.
I am in the SA group on the server
    My connection to DB2 works
When open the package and run it in preview mode, I can retrieve the data.
When I execute the package I get the below errors:
[MIDAS OLE DB Source [1]] Error: The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "NGMDSPA.alharris" failed with error code 0xC0202009.
[DTS.Pipeline] Error: component "MIDAS OLE DB Source" (1) failed validation and returned error code 0xC020801C.
What I have already done that has not worked:
The original Protection level was set to EncryptSensitiveWithPassword.
I have reset the Package Password.
I have set the protection level to DontSaveSensitive
I saved the package on the server and set a Package Password.
I created a new package, set the Protection level to DontSaveSensitive, set a package password in a configuration file using the Package Configuration Wizard.
    Error continues

Yes.  The Drivers are installed and I have a successfull connection.  I am trouble shooting the issue on the server in BIDS.  I can connect to the DB2 server via the Connectionmanager.  I can also preview the data in the OLE
DB source connection.  Therefore I know that I have a proper connection
If you're setting option as DontSaveSensitive then you need to pass the connection information from configuration file/ config table. Otherwise it wont be able to use it for connecting to your source/destination servers. This is the recommended way as it
will enable you to change connection info at runtime.
If you want connection info to persist you need to use protection level as EncryptSensitiveUsingUserKey or EncryptSensitiveUsingPassword and set a password.
Please Mark This As Answer if it helps to solve the issue Visakh ---------------------------- http://visakhm.blogspot.com/ https://www.facebook.com/VmBlogs

  • Datetime error in OBIEE using xml files

    Hi,
I get the following error when i try to retrieve datetime column in Answers
    Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 46046] Datetime value 4/8/2000 23:35:00 does not match the specified format. (HY000)
SQL Issued: SELECT Project_Fact.END_DATE saw_0 FROM Projects ORDER BY saw_0
    My xml looks like: <START_DATE>4/8/2000 23:35:00 </START_DATE>
    <END_DATE>4/15/2000 23:35:00 </END_DATE>
Where is the error and what can i do to resolve this
    Thanks

That data is not a true Oracle datetime configuration (or it is very unlikely that your DB is set with that as the default mask).
The easiest way is to true that field into a Character in the physical layer then at the report level in Answer use a formula to make it a Datetime. By its nature all datatypes in XML are inherently Character strings.

  • Facebook V 3.3.0.11 newsfeed only loads when Wi-Fi connection active - get error 2001 when using cellular connection

There are a number of very recent posts regarding a Facebook error "Facebook returned an unknown error 2001" when trying to dispaly or refresh the news feed.
For about the past 18 hours I have been experiencing the same issue; other Facebook functions (view own profile, view friends list, view photos, ...) work fine.
What I have noticed, though, is that FB functions as expected (i.e. news feed refreshes normally) when using a Wi-Fi connection. As soon as I disconnect from Wi-Fi and connect via a mobile connection, the problem returns.
My wife's identical phone has also been experincing this problem since yesterday.
Both phones are Blackberry 9700 Bold, with OS 6.0 bundle1879.
My location is Cape Town, South Africa.

When you get to a wifi location it should work. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

    Hi,
It may be a Time stamp issue with DS.
    Try this.
Replicate the data source in BW.
Run the program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL for the source system.
    Then retrigger the load.
    Hope this helps.
    Refer
    Re: tickets
Also Go to SM37 in source system and see the job log.
In BW > RSMO > Details see where it failed.

  • XML Connection

    Hi all,
    I'm new on Xcelsius 2008.
i'm using XML connection and i want my dashboard works dynamically according to database. how can we do that? i don't want to change the XML data anymore, i wanna it update automatically.
beside that, what's the advantage of using XML data? is it the most common connection?
    thanks
    please help
    Best Regard,
    Hendry

Asking these kinds of questions in a forum is only acceptible if you cannot find any information about it on the net... if you cannot even do research for yourself, how will you ever succeed as a developer? Research is the first step in every project!
Your quest begins with the jaybird (= jdbc driver for firebird) faq:
    http://www.firebirdsql.org/index.php?op=devel&sub=jdbc&id=faq#poolingcode
You may also want to check the documentation of your specific webserver. For example tomcat has pretty decent information about setting up datasources:
    http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/jndi-resources-howto.html
    http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/jndi-datasource-examples-howto.html
You can expect similar steps in the documentation of other web/application servers.

  • HOW to use xml to transfer data from database?

    Hi,
Would you please give me some suggestion on how to use xml connect with a table in oracle/MS_access database?
    Thanks a lot

Have you already had a look at our online documentation here on OTN, or at a book like Building Oracle XML Applications? There are lots of examples in those.
If you have a specific question about using the API's that's not working for you, we can help out here.

    Could you please try this?
I am not sure whether this will solve your problem but you could try this once.
    1. Disconnect your phone from PC if connected.
2 .Open Control Panel and go to ‘Programs and Features’
    3. From the list of available programs, choose ‘Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver’
    4. Click on the ‘Change’ button on top toolbar.
    5. In the setup dialog box that pops up next, choose ‘Repair’ and select ok. Wait for setup to complete.
    6. Restart the computer if prompted.
    7. Now connect your phone to the PC. Driver installation should complete and PC/Ovi suite (hopefully) should detect your mobile properly now.

  • Xcelsius XML Connection Issue when using a Crystal created XML file

    HI Xcelsius/Crystal Gurus,
    I am running Crystal Reports 2008 version 12.2.9.698 and Xcelsius 2008 5.3.0.0 Build 12,3,0,670,
I am attempting to create an XML file from a Crystal report which will be consumed by an Xcelsius Dashboard.  Apparently, there is something with the file that Xcelsius does not like.
I have formatted the report exactly as Xcelsius requires and exporting via text with an xml extension to create an .xml file.  When I add an XML Connection in Xcelsius and add the appropriate names/range, etc...I am able to see the file via the Preview XML button on the Connection, but when I use a component, I am not seeing the data in the component.
I can 'recreate' the file in NotePad by manually typing in the entries to look exactly like the file created by Crystal and set up a connection in Xcelsius to consume that file and it works beautifully.
Does anyone have any experience with using Crystal Reports to create an XML file (not using the XML Export, but by exporting as a Text and adding an extension)?
Is it possible that Crystal is adding hidden characters or something?  I can pull this Crystal created file into an XML editor or MS Word and it is validated as a good XML File.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

This article is all about setting up security on the web service. But, I just want to connect to the web service as a client using the proxy and the web service doesn't have any security set on it at this time.
I am getting a connection timeout, even when I set the syncMaxWaitTime in the domain.xml file on the app server to a higher number (although this doesn't seem to affect the time it takes for the debugger to return).

  • Connecting external middleware using xml-rpc

    Hello together,
I'm not a SAP specialist. But I have to integrate an external middelware in the eh&s module. The middleware is offering a xml-rpc interface only.
Can anybody tell me best practices to connect an external middleware using xml-rpc?
My ideas are to develop a JCo for the R3 based systems an to use JCA for the NetWeaver systems.
    Is that best practice?
    Thanks and regards,
    Matthias

    Hi,
I am trying to implement and run the sample application given under {Forte_Root}/install/examples/xmlsvr.
I have done all the required steps, but I am getting this error given below.
I am using soap-2_3 for SOAP and xerces-2_2_1 for XML parser, my server (Forte UDS)is on windows NT.
Please Note:- While connecting to the External web sites from my office, I need to connect through the firewalls and I need to give the user name and password to access the external web sites.
    so my question is,
    1. while connection to the server (Forte UDS SO) does it make connection to external website such as
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/1999/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:xsd1="http://localhost/bankservices.xsd"
    xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/"
    xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/">
and since i have to connect through the firefall and use the passwords, Am I not able to make connection?
    2. Does any body of you had similar problem and how you are able to resolve this.
    3. If I need to give user name and password, while making connection to external website, can you please tell, where I need to specify that. (Will it be in WSDL file etc)?
    Your help is appreciated
    Thank You,
    Srikanth

    Thank you Eugen and Hussein.
The problem is not with the template.
It seems to be a problem in that particular instance.
Uploaded it in a different instance.
However once i run the program, i cannot view the output as the browser window flashes and disappears.
My colleague says , it is to do with the trusted site to download something from the browser.
Can you please guide me on how to fix this ?
