Hi Xavier,
CALL METHOD wd_comp_controller->m_handler->set_range_table_of_sel_field(
EXPORTING
i_id = l_searchparameter-name
it_range_table = l_dref ).
Put a break point on the method and check what value is passed in i_id field because here we pass the name of the field for which we want to create the range.

• How can I trap & display HTML syntax errors in mx:HTML at run time?

I am loading HTML pages into an mx:HTML component in an AIR application. If the HTML contains errors, they show up in the trace window in debug mode. I'd like to trap that information so I can tell the usere that there are errors (and what they are) in the production version of the application. I found it myself how to do it. The error says that it is not able to find the reference object i.e it is asking us to refer to the table. The following piece of code will solve this problem. Have to implement this in WDDOMODIFYVIEW method of the view. This thing works comrades enjoy...

• Disabling flash display in Air HTML Component

Hi,
in my AIR application, I use an HTML Component in its own
sort of frame or container that has a viewing size that is smaller
than the web page itself. Next to it is a panel with many controls
in it. When a website with flash components (e.g. flash banners) is
displayed, the flash components in the HTML Component overlap the
control panel even though it's underneath in another container. Is
there a way to disable showing Flash in an HTML Component or
another way to make sure everything in an HTML Component stays on
its own layer?
Thanks for any help!

Hi,
I don't think the problem is because the URL is pointing to a
JSP. I think the problem might be with the JavaScript which is
trying to do operations which are not allowed. Please find more
details at the URL below.

Hope this helps.

• About Error in HTML component

Hi,
There is a question about HTML Component.
As you know, you can load a Webpage in a HTML component by setting a URL in its location property.
And when I write a wrong URL, which is not existing, the HTML component just continue loading forever.
How do I know, if the written URL is correct at all? Is there eny error event handler for that?
thanks

I've got a hot water pipe that goes "gurgle" whenI
hit it with a heavy book - can anyone help?Are you sure it's a gurgle?
Could it be a rattle, or even a squeak?Pretty sure it's a gurgle. I'll check again
Anyway, check for any of the following:
- loose pipe straps
- air leak in the pipe system
Updating the pipe system would be a good idea at this
point, unless you are able to ditch that book and get
the equivalent electronic version.Thanks for your help. But I don't see how getting the electronic version will make things better, how am I supposed to hit a hot water pipe with a .pdf??

• Viewing flash based website in HTML component of AIR APP

Hello, I've got an air app where I'm trying to use the Html component to load up a flash website. Problem is that the website starts to load (I can see the preloader) and then the html component just goes blank. I wrote the html page I'm trying to load so I went in and did some trimming of javascript stuff that I didn't really need that I thought might be causing the issue, but, no dice. I'm also catch uncaughtScript errors from HTML, and there are none. Anybody have any ideas? The flash on the page that I'm loading only required flash player 8, so I'm thinking that shouldn't be an issue. The page I'm trying to load is www.socialsaga.com/air_index.php
Here is my little mxml file that won't properly display the site.
<mx:Panel title="Video Storage" xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" enabled="true" visible="true" width="100%" height="650"> <mx:Script>                 public function showDOM(ev:Event = null):void {                var indEv:Event = ev;           }                      public function uncaughtException(ev:Event = null):void {                var whatException:Event = ev;           }       </mx:Script>      <mx:HTML uncaughtScriptException="uncaughtException()" htmlDOMInitialize="showDOM()" width="100%" height="100%"  location="http://www.socialsaga.com/air_index.php" id="htmlOne"/> </mx:Panel>

That was a waste of a couple hours.... The reason it was not redering is because I had a glow filter effect on a parent
displayobject in the app... Really weird, cause html stuff would load, but flash would not show up.

• How to use h:message to display HTML code in message from property file

I am using <h:message for="somecomponentid"/> to display the error message for a validator attached to a component and the error message which resides in message property file contains HTML elements like
and
The HTML doesnt get displayed properly and the code
etc is displayed instead.
Is there a method to get h:message to display HTML elements correcly.
[I know there is an h:outputFormat which has an escape parameter to allow HTML to be rendered correcly but it has no for parameter to specify the component id whose validation error message I want to display]
eg.
<h:message for="somecomponentid"/>
to display from errormessages.properties
com.somecompany.thevalidationerrormessage=You have an error
Please click here to return to homepage

Hello Ivan,
Fortunately I have just recently found a solution to my problem by using code by a developer who had already had this problem in the past and who provided a patch on the Apache MyFaces jira site.
See following link for the solution I downloaded and then used :
http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MYFACES-155
I believe they are intending to eventually release this in a future release of MyFaces extensions on this site.
I used the escape attribute on the tag to allow 'escaped' html code in error messages to be used.
Hope it solves your problem too..

• HTML component blinking cursor and combobox problems

Hi there.
I have a problem using a website displayed with the HTML component in a spark window. In any textfield in this homepage there is no blinking cursor displayed which is not really a problem but is still pretty confusing to the users. Another issue comes up with the comboboxes where the possible choices cannot be clicked with the mouse. Choosing an entry with the keyboard is possible though.
To reproduce this issue, add a html component in a spark window and load for example http://www.ard.de. The cursor is blinking in the search textfield in the top left. After clicking on the combobox on the left side - where i can't choose an entry with the mouse - the cursor in the textfield is no longer displayed.
Is this a known issue?
Best regards

Hi,
I've looked at your example and found the following 2 issues:
1. The cursor not appearing was actually a focus issue and you can fix it by adding an event listener on "windowActivate" in which to re-set the focus to the _htmlWindow. See the code below for more details on "onActivate()"
2. The issue with the dropdown is actually a bug (internal bug id #2721855) and it has been fixed in the next version of AIR which will be released towards the end of this year.

In another warehouse this function works properly. I am using OWB 10gR2 (10.2.0.1.31).
Any hints to fix this issue would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance, C.

If you run OWB using the supplied shell script or batch file are there other errors on the console before the exception. OWB uses a component (OLAPI does some validation over and above any other) which dumps the errors on the the standard output which often illustrates some invalid metadata in the OLAP catalog.

• How to display HTML response file in user's browser following submission of Livecycle form

I have a PDF form created via Livecycle that does a HTTP submit to the webserver. The server returns a HTML 'submission receipt' page which is either opened in Acrobat or the user's web browser.
Previously this process worked fine when submitting from adobe reader - the html receipt file would always automatically open OK in the user's browser. However, with newer versions of Reader (11.0.0+) I now get this error and no attempt to open the user's web browser:
An error occurred during the submit process. Cannot process content of type text/html
I realise why I get the error - Adobe reader can't display HTML files.
What I don't understand is why it doesn't open the html file in the user's browser like it has been doing for years.
Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this (without changing the response content type to PDF/FDF)?

I had the same issue as you and we used FDF status, then eventually went with returning an XDP that filled out a receipt section of the form.

• SQL error not displayed. Instead wwv_flow.accept was not found

Hi,
My Question:
Why does the SQL error in this case not get propagated up the chain?
BACKGOUND:
Just spent a few hours trying to figure out why when trying to insert into a table using a wizard created page I was getting the error: The requested URL /pls/htmldb/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server. It turns out that the error message is a red herring, and the problem was caused by a SQL error that I thought should have been caught and displayed.
When running the page under debug, the error is displayed, but run as Joe Blow user, the www_flow.accept error is received.

This is the error the end user sees in the browser:

ACTUAL PROBLEM:
The sequence TRNG_SEQ does not exist!

Has anyone found what causes this problem? I am running HTMLDB 1.6
I have a HTMLDB application running against four databases. I develop in one and export and import the application to all databases. It appears that on the databases that are NOT development, this www_flow.accept was not found comes up instead of the error page.
Please help! We are getting so close to wanting to release this application.

• Error output in html?

Is it possible to have a handler that prints the stack trace of
an error in the html output? Instead of having to tail the log files
constantly? How is it possible?
According to the BEA support email concerning this, the answer is 'no'
but it may be possible to write an error handler that does -- with no
suggestions on how to define or install an error handler for weblogic.
Help would be greatly appreciated by our team of JSP developers!

weblogic.httpd.initArgs.*.jsp=\
compileCommand=sj.exe,\
workingDir=d:/dev/weblogic/myserver/jspclasses,\
verbose=true,\
debug=true,\
keepgenerated=true,\
pageCheckSeconds=1
Set the verbose option to true for jsp pages in your weblogic.properties
file. It should display the compiler errors on your browser, most of the
time that is. Also run weblogic in console mode rather than as a service, so
you can see the errors. Run it as a service when you are ready to deploy,
but run it in console mode during development, it saves constantly looking
at log files.

Sorry, I'm looking for the compile time errors. It's kind of tedious to
develop
while constantly tailing the logfile... I know the parse-to-java errors
are output
and the runtime exceptions can be caught, but what about the compiler
errors?

Please refer to ThrowException.jsp & ErrorPage.jsp shipped by WLAS. They
are
under examples/jsp/.
Hope it helps.

• Display HTML in Java Applet

Is it possible to display HTML text in some control in Applet. I do not want to use the swing class for that. please guide me. I am currently using the TextArea to display text which displays text only in a single color. But I want to display text in multicolor. How to do it. If possible please show me with an example.

You will have to write your own component. Look at java.awt.FontMetrics to get the size of a string. Use
g.setColor(Color.blue);
Graphics.drawString(myString,x,y);
to draw a blue string.
