Error in DTP loading from 1st level DSO to 2nd level DSO

Hi Experts,
I am facing a strange kind of error while loading data through a DTP included in Process chain.
We are loading full load, from a DSO to a target DSO.
But it gives an error, "Error in substep : Start routine".
When i checked the error logs, it redirected me to the start routine, where a deletion statement is written.
We checked, with some ABAP persons, the code contained no error.
So we repeated the DTP(right click and repair), it worked fine this time.
There are several other DTP, with the same source and target.
As per the client requirement, we divided the loads and not loading at once.
The same error happened with other DTP also, but repeating them solved the problem again.
As this is only a work around, but it makes no sense as it had to be done manually everytime even though it is scheduled using a process chain.
Any one who has encountered similar problem, please share idea/information with me.

Hi,
I had the same problem before, to debug the code, i put break point in the routine and couldnt find any error. Then loaded the data, it failed again. then I removed the break point from the transformation and activated it. When ever we activate transformation, a program is generated, if the program is not generated then this kind of problem occurs.

Hi ,
First af all identify all such records by creating an error DTP so that the same can be collected in Error stack .
1. Go to the Update tab of the normal DTP and there you can find the create Error DTP option .Click on that .
2. This will take you to the Error DTP screen .Use the option 'Valid record updated reporting possible (request green).You can increase the number of errorneous records to be avoided there only .
3. Please make sure you have activated the option of ' Valid records update reporting possible request green ' both in the Normal and Error DTP .Also the number of errorneous records to be avoided to be mentioned in both the DTP's.
4. Activate the DTP's (Both Normal and Error) .
After this can you please run the Normal DTP again .You can check the Error stack to see the errorneous records .When you double click on any record in the error stack it will thrown an error message from where you can find the exact error with those records .You can rectify these records in the errror stack and then run the error DTP to update the same to the data target.
Ideally these records should be rectified in the Source system .

Document currency is blank in 2nd ODS after loaded from 1st ODS!

1st ODS contains the document currency field and each record does have the value for it. In the update rule from 1st ODS to 2nd ODS, there is only two fields populated, one is the document currency (the update type is Overwrite for this unit and there are only two update types for this unit: one is Overwrite and the other one is No Update), the other one is a KF field and it's update type is Addition. After performing the initial load from 1st ODS to 2nd ODS, the KF field values are fine, but the Document Currency value is blank for each record. The Document Currency field in the update rule takes the update method of Source field from 1st ODS.
Any clue on why this Document Currency is blank in 2nd ODS and any solution?

There should be no any transfer rule from one ODS to another. In the update rule, our 1st post has already clearly stated that the update type is Overwrite for Document Currency. Sorry, we can't give you any reward points since you didn't carefully read our post!

Hello experts,
I am facing this issue in SBO 9.0 PL 08.
Using SBOdemoUS, clic 'Duplicate' an existing Sales Order, then select a Business Partner, and hit 'yes' to the question in order to refresh rows with new BP info. You will get red bar error 'Failed to load from XML resource - (UI_API 7004) [Message 66000-6]' and it wipes out all the copied rows info. Does not happen with BPs that don't have default Ship To info.

Getting error while scheduling load from one cube to another

Hi,
I have create one cube ,which has got loaded from two data sources and load into the cube went successful.I have created copy cube and schedule the load into copy cube from the base cube,where i am getting error message syaing that"New work Area started,terminated the system" and "Core_dump","Rolled-Out session terminated" all the above messages are getting and so many short dumps.I am getting all the above messages.
Even i have change data packet size from 20000 to 5000 and increares dialup process from 2 to 5.But still i am getting same kind of messages.
Please some one can help me out from this issue.

In which version you are.
If you in 7.0 then have you checked in DTP.
Just logooff from your server, and again relog, and try to load once again.

Error is data loading from 3rd party source system with DBCONNECT

Hi,
We have just finished an upgrade of SAP BW 3.10 to SAP NW 7.0 EHP1.
After the upgrade, we are facing a problem with data loads from a third party Oracle source system using DBConnect.
The connection is working OK and we can see the tables in the source system. But we cannot load the data.
The error in the monitor is as follows:
'Error message from the source system
Diagnosis
An error occurred in the source system.
System Response
Caller 09 contains an error message.
Further analysis:
The error occurred in Extractor .
Refer to the error message.'
But, unfortunately, the error message has no further information.
If we look at the job log in sm37, the job finished with the following log -

There will be three things to get the errors like this
1.RFC CONNECTION FAILED
2.CHECK THE SOURCE SYSTEM
3.CHECK IT OUT WITH Oracle Consultants WEATHER THEY ARE FILLING UP THE LOADS.TELL THEM TO STOP
4.CHECK I DOC PROCESSING
5.FINALLY MEMORY ISSUES.
6.CATCH THE DATA SOURCE FIRST CHANGE IT AND THEN ACTIVATE AND RUN THE LOAD
7.LAST IS MEMORY ISSUE.
and also Check the RFC connection in SM59 If it is ok then
check the SAP note : 692195 for authorization

HR Full Load error in Payroll loading from EBS

Hi,
We have configured HR anylatics and when runs the Full load from EBS 11.10 (Vision Demo Database) we are receiving an error which says can not allocate 128 from temp tablespace. We have found the 11i database temp has been grown hugely (more than 10GB) and hard disk space been allocated fully.
And we found this has been occurred by payroll package (selecting from a view).
Is there any optimization or any solution for this issue.

and remember to fix the bug in the database first:
UPDATE per_all_people_f

AND effective_end_date > '06-FEB-02';
because you will see 2 rows if you for:
SELECT *
FROM per_all_people_f
WHERE person_id = 6272
AND effective_start_date = '04-JAN-91';
And this isn't possible, becuase HR is date tracked and you can't start twice on 1 date!

Error RH207 when loading from DataSource 0MAT_SALES_LPRH_HIER

Hi All,
We are experiencing problems whilst attempting to load mat-sales
hierarchy "MATNR" from R/3 source system.
The related Datasource is "0MAT_SALES_LPRH_HIER"
The system states that there is an error in the hierarchy structure.
Specificaly, the error message is RH207. The system diagnosis is that a
particular node ID is not specified as either child, next, parent or root
in any node in the hierarchy.
An example of the error text is as follows:
"Node ID 01000041 has not been included in the hierarchy"
We have attempted to recreate the issue on dev, QA & Pre-Prod enviroments
but have so far been unable to replicate the error - the hierarchy always
loads successfuly.
The nearest match in terms of OSS notes is note# 872488. However, this
applies to error RH207 whilst loading <b>flat-file</b> hierarchies. Our extract
is directly from R/3.
Parties maintaining the hierarchy on R/3 have checked the format and
confirm that there are no anomolies with the hierarchy structure.
So I am now stumped... has anyone experienced this before and if so, can you offer any assistance in terms of resolving this issue?

Hello again.
On closer inspection of the idoc in BW, It has been found that each Data Record has, (amongst others) a field called NODEID & another called NEXTID.
The values between the two 8-digit fields are closely linked... in that the value in NEXTID is always 1 greater than the value in NODEID. e.g. NODEID=00999998; NEXTID=00999999.
We are seeing that where NODEID=00999999, the corresponding NEXTID value is 00000000. This is incorrect as it should be 01000000!
We have checked the idoc on R/3 side and the same behaviour is occuring.
So, as the hierarchy has increased, some system setting, (or bug!) is resetting the NEXTID value rather than letting it increment to 1million. Given that the field value is 8-digits, a figure of 1million should be more than valid!
Does anyone have any ideas about number-ranges in hierarchies?

CUNIT error in data loading from flat file after r/3 extraction

Hi all
After R/3 business content extraction, if i load data from flat file to info cube, I am getting Conversion exit CUNIT error, what might be the reason, the data in the flat file 0unit column is accurate, and mapping rules are also correct, but still i am getting error with CUNIT.?

check your unit if you are loading amount or quantities what mapping you have and what you are loading from flat files.

Error in delta loading from a planning cube

hi all,
I am using a delta load from one planning cube to another.When the changed records are of a magnitude of 100 then it is successful but when the records are of magnitude of 100000 then it stays yellow with no data records sent and eventually fails.the packet size is 20000.

Have you checked that your Request is closed in the planning cube? FM RSAPO_CLOSE_TRANS_REQUEST will do it
It is a customizing issue to tell the infopackage to end "green" when it has no data.
Transaction Spro ==> SAP Netweaver ==> SAP Business Information Warehouse ==> Automated Processes ==> Monitor Settings ==> Set Traffic Light Color. There you have to set the Traffic light on green if no data is available in the system.

RapidMarts - "Open file error" R3C-150607 loading from file

Hello experts.
We are installing RapidMarts for the SA-module, but when executing the main workflow in Data services we get an error trying to load the file dates.dat.
The generated ABAP looks just fine, and the file exists where it should be (in SAP working directory), but still not able to load it.
This is the error msg:
Data flow DF TimeDim SAP - Execute ABAP program <E:/RM generated ABAP dir/TimeDim.aba> error > Open File Error -- E:/RM Working directory/dates.dat>.
We have the following setup:
Windows server
MS SQLserver 2005 database
SAP BO Dataservices v12.2.9.0
SAP BO RapidMarts for v12.2.0
Any good ideas on how to fix this?

Hi again.
The problem is solved.
When configuring the R3 datastore in Dataservices we assigned the different directories (working dir, generated ABAP dir etc.) on a server that's NOT our R3-server.
When we changed this to use folders on our SAP-server it works just fine (for this at least)

Basically PCS_PER_PACK is a KF i have in the DSO, which i use to calculate the total number of pieces which i store in a KF in the cube. The transformation rule to calculate TOTAL_PCS is a routine.
within this routine i multiply PACKS * PCS_PER_PACK to calculate the figure. I do not store PCS_PER_PACK in the cube.
is it this rule that you want me to check whether aggregation is set to SUM or overwrite? Also this rule should add up the total pcs. if I say overwrite then it might not give me the desired result?
Thing which i cannot figure out is since the transformation rules go record by record why would it add up the PCS_PER_PACK figure before calculating?
I cannot access the system at the moment. as soon as i can i will check on it and get back to you.

Error while Image loading from database

I'am using generic handler for loading Image from data bases. Its work fine when when I hardcode the ImageID in QureyString when call Handler. But it's giving errors of different type when I dynamically pass value to qurey string(from datatable).

Error in data load from application server

Well, this problem again!
In datasource for dataload by flatfile, tab Extraction i selected Load Text-Type File From Application Server.
In tab Proposal:
Converter: Separated with Separator (for Example, CSV).
No. of Data Records: 9198
Data load sucefull.
I add 1 record:
Converter: Separated with Separator (for Example, CSV).
No. of Data Records: 9199
So appear a message error "Cannot convert character sets for one or more characters".
I look in line 9199 in file and not have any special character. I use AL11 and debug to see this line.
When i load file from local workstation, this error not occur.
What's happen?

What type of logical file path have yopu created in the application server for loading this file.
Is it a UNIX file path or an ASCII file path.
Did you check how the file looks in the application server AL11?

Hi All,
I have deleted request from Infocube which was aggregated.
I was trying to reload the same request from PSA, i am getting the following error:
SID 163.687 is smaller than Rollup SID of Cube
0PCA_C01; No request posting
Please help me in this..

Hi Kiran,
You are trying to load a request into the cube, but the aggregates are already rolled up with a request higher/newer than this request. To solve this I think that you need to deactivate the aggregates and afterwards reactivate and roll up new data.
