Error in Dynamic Regions load

Hi! I'm new in ADF. My problem is:
I use a Tree like a menu. When we click on tree node, on the right of the page will display form with some Data Control ( I use Dynamic Regions to contain form with Parameter input text and table).
1. When I click on tree node, the Dynamic Regions display form and auto fetching data in table without Parameter input and get error.
2. If Dynamic Region has some button. When I click on it, Region will load back to default region and don't show data to table. How to pass it?
Please help me, thanks in advance!

Hi, actually your question doesn't provide lot of hook points 1) I understand the task flow you load in the region does not take a parameter. I don't know though what the error is because you don't tell us anything about it. I assume however that the bean you use to switch between regions is in request or backing bean scope. The scope of the bean should be in view scope 2) This sound like the same problem. The bean you use to switch between regions is in request or backing bean scope. Change it to view scope and you should be okay Ps.: Make sure the bean is really only used to switch between regions and does not hold JSF component binding references Frank

  • Issue while deploying dynamic region to stand alone server

    Hi,
    In my application there is one page I have panel splitter, where i have drag and dropped menu-taskflow as regionModel, and created dynamic region on second facet panel.
    <af:region value="#{bindings.menutaskflow1.regionModel}" id="r1"/>
    <af:region value="#{bindings.dynamicRegion4.regionModel}" id="r2"/>
    I have created application level class to handle dynamic region loading.
    This settings are working fine when i run application with integrated web logic server, When I deployed my application to stand alone server, its giving me exception as
    java.lang.IllegalStateException: The expression "#{bindings.menutaskflow1.regionModel}" (that was specified for the RegionModel "value" attribute of the region component with id "r1") evaluated to null.
    This is typically due to an error in the configuration of the objects referenced by this expression.
    If it helps, the expression "#{bindings.menutaskflow1}" evaluates to "null".
    If it helps, the expression "#{bindings}" evaluates to "null". Now using an empty RegionModel instead.

  • Encountering error while working with Dynamic Regions.

    Hi All,
    I am a beginner in ADF and on a quest to learn ADF. Sometimes I am struggling in the process. Now, when I am working with Dynamic Regions, encountered problem below
    Step 1 : Created a simple department TaskFlow with Department Form
    Step 2: Created a Simple employee TaskFlow with Employee Details
    Step 3: Created a Main page with oracle 2 column layout
    Step 4 : Dragged and dropped department TaskFlow on to main page second facet as Dyanmic region . Created a bean as RegionBean
    Step 5 : Dragged and dropped department TaskFlow as Command Link on the first facet
    Step 6 : Dragged and dropped employee TaskFlow as Command Link on the first facet
    The page runs and shows department information when it renders. But when I click on employees command link, at first it shows employees table with no data and says "ACCESS DENIED ". Then if I click on either department or employee command link, it errors out with below info

    Hi Shay Shmeltzer ,
    Thanks for your quick reply. Below is response for your queries
    What scope did you specify for the bean? View Scope
    Also which browser are you using? Firefox
    Thanks for the link. I started to build dynamic region after taking a look at the video
    What else do you think might be the issue
    Thanks

  • ADF Dynamic region in a popup does not load

    Hi Experts,
    JDEV version used 11.1.1.5
    I have a page which has a table and each row has a command link on one of the columns.
    When I click on the command link an action listener is invoked which decides the DYNAMIC TF that is to be loaded in a pop up .
    The pop up has a dynamic adf region in it.
    Based on the record clicked (using command link) task flow is loaded in the dynamic region of the the Popup .
    But, when i click the same link for the second time or a different record the popup is displayed as blank , The taskflow in the dynamic region is not loaded at all.(getDynamicTaskFlowId is invoked and is also returing the correct TF to be loaded)
    First time it works as expected  , but its not happening from the second time.
    I have used conditional activation , but later due to the above issue I have tried to put an expression #{true} for the active property to test if it works. It didn't.
    Please note that first time there is no issue.It does not work from the second click on same record or any other record.
    Any other suggestions to fix the above issue  are much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Vikranth

    Hi Frank,
    I have followed the same approach. However in my case its a dynamic af:region which is causing the issue.
    Any other pointers is much apprecitaed.
    Thanks,
    Vikranth

  • Dynamic Region Issues

    Jdev 11.1.1.5 - JDK 1.6_31
    I have put a dynamic region on a page with 4 taskflows defined as the regions. Each taskflow is a train.
    I have a bean that controls the loading (the default bean) with a load for each screen.. ie public .. myRegion1, etc... in addition to the getDynamicTF that is created by default.
    public TaskFlowId getDynamicTaskFlowId() {
    return TaskFlowId.parse(taskFlowId);
    public String myjobFlow() {
    taskFlowId = "/WEB-INF/myJobstaskFlowCall.xml#myJobstaskFlowCall";
    return null;
    Everything works fine - the pages load and all is OK - until I select a tab in one of the regions.
    This will cause the generation of the event to get the taskflow from the bean. (getDynamicTaskFlowId)
    because the bean is backing scoped - it does not know the current taskflow (lost when the bean is destroyed)
    I tried to change the scope - but I get a controller error saying the backingBeanScope.DynamicRegionBean cannot be found!
    can anyone tell me the location of the controller file - or how to change the scope - or how to get around this issue.

    Hi,
    instead of using backingBeanScope use viewScope..
    and change expression wherever necessary like
    in page and more important in pageDef file..
    like
    from
    backingBeanScope.bean to viewScope.bean
    Hope this helps..

  • Problem with taskflows within the Dynamic region

    Hi,
    I am creating a application which have two bounded taskflows search-flow and admin flow.In admin-flow taskflow i have two jsff pages admin_login and welcome.whenever we click login button present in login.jsff it should navigate to welcome page.I have created the control flow case (from outcome is welcome).I have created a Home.jspx in adfc-config.xml.Using the splitter i divided the page into two facets.In facet 1 there are two command links search, admin.In the second facet i have dropped search flow as dynamic region and written the following beanclass.
    package com.Search;
    import oracle.adf.controller.TaskFlowId;
    public class Search {
    private String SearchtaskFlowId = "/WEB-INF/Search-fllow.xml#Search-fllow";
    private String AdminTaskFlowId = "/WEB-INF/Admin-flow.xml#Admin-flow";
    private String currentTF = "home";
    public SearchFlight() {
    public TaskFlowId getDynamicTaskFlowId() {
    if (this.getCurrentTF().equalsIgnoreCase("home"))
    return TaskFlowId.parse(SearchtaskFlowId);
    else
    return TaskFlowId.parse(AdminTaskFlowId);
    public void setCurrentTF(String currentTF) {
    this.currentTF = currentTF;
    public String getCurrentTF() {
    return currentTF;
    When i click the admin link in home.jspx the admin_login.jsff page is opening.After entering the credentials and clicking login button it is going to the search page of search task-flow not to the welcome.jsff.
    The admin_login.jsff is

  • Dynamic region table with binding problem

    Hi. I'm using jdev 11.1.1.3 and ADF full stack.
    My app uses single page approach with ADF libraries and a dynamic region to show content. Main page includes a menu bar which is created on session startup and is used to load task flows from libraries.
    I have a class to provide some table functionality like CRUD, multi-row delete, etc and I need to reuse with every table included in libraries.
    To do this, in main web app I have a managed bean to hold table binding and to provide this common functions to all fragments if needed.
    I think it must be in request scope as fragment changes.
    Here's the problem: when I navigate to a fragment which contains a table with binding, first time goes well,
    but next time table, when fragment changes,new table displays without header or without data.
    If I go to another fragment without binding and return to a fragment with problem, it displays well. With fragments without table binding, it works OK.
    I've tried changing scope of this 'general' managed bean, but same thing. If I put a bean for each fragment, it works OK.
    So, how can I 'share' this managed bean through every table? Any suggestions? is it possible?
    Please, help me ....
    Thanks,
    DEMR.

    I am seeing a similar problem in my app. I have a main menu that drives a dynamic region. If the task flow that gets displayed in the dynamic region also contains a dynamic region, when the inner dynamic region is refreshed to point to a second task flow, the page does not render correctly. The errors we have seen include data in tables not being displayed in some cases, and PPR errors in other cases. In both cases, if the inner dynamic region is replaced (by a single bounded task flow with navigation logic in a template, for example) the errors go away. There appears to be issues involved with including a dynamic region within a dynamic region.
    Have you made any progress on solving your issue?

  • Dynamic Regions w/Train Component

    I'm working on a web app (JDeveloper 11g) where one page has a dynamic reqion with a task flow associated with it that sets the fragment for the view. Most of the fragments for this region use a page template with a train component. Navigation using the train component mostly works fine- the fragment is replaced by a new fragment each time a train link is clicked.
    However, one fragment contains another dynamic region. I tried to set the scope of the bean managing this region to viewScope, but I get a popup message in the browser "viewScope.myManagedClass.dynamicTaskFlowId" is invalid" when I click the train component link for the fragment. I get a similar error if I set the scope of the bean to session or pageFlow. Only when I set the scope to backingBean or None do I avoid the error message.
    But then another problem occurs. One of the fragments in the flow for the inner region has a panelAccordion with several showDetailItems consisting of selectManyCheckboxes. The panelAccordion doesn't list anything, and locks up if I try to open or close any showDetailItem. This behavior is similar to when the scope for the bean managing the flow is not set to viewScope or higher.
    In stepping through the code, I noticed that the outer region's flow code runs after the inner region's trigger event code that sets the inner region's taskFlowId, but before the inner region's flow code, so the inner region's taskFlowId setting is lost. I tried throwing the setting into session context and retrieving it, and that almost works. If I actually select any of the selectManyCheckboxes, they are lost once I move to a different fragment in the inner region.
    Does anybody have any ideas on how to I get this page working, alternatives to the approach I'm taking, settings I should check, and/or any reference material I could consult?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    However, one fragment contains another dynamic region. I tried to set the scope of the bean managing this region to viewScope, but I get a popup message in the browser "viewScope.myManagedClass.dynamicTaskFlowId" is invalid" when I click the train component link for the fragment.
    Is the managed bean defined in the metadata definition of the bounded taskflow that you load ? Note that bounded task flows are only initializing their managed beans when they are loaded. If you define the managed bean in the parent bounded task flow then the viewScope also is the one of the parent flow. Appears as if this is the problem you describe

  • Dynamic regions issue data transmission was interrupted

    Hi. I'm using JDev 11.2.2 and ADF full stack.
    Issue is when I'm trying to refresh a dynamic region to load a new task flow. Let me give a test case step by step:
    1.- Using HR, build model: Create objects(Entities, View Objects) for tables Employees and Departments and an Application Module.
    2.-In VC, add a facelets page with two columns layout, first for a tree for switching regions and a dynamic region in the second column.
    3.- Create a page fragment which includes a table generated from employees view in data controls and another page fragment for departments view.
    4.- Create two bounded task flows, one for employees fragment and another for departments fragment.
    5.- Drag and drop a bounded task flow to create a dynamic region in the second column of main page. Make sure selecting backingBean scope for new bean (default is Request scope).
    6.- In model, create a static list populated View Object with two attributes: one for task flow id and one for description
    7.- In VC, generate a Tree in the first column of main page
    8.- Write a selection listener for tree component to read the current task flow id and set that value to dynamic region task flow id in appropriate bean.
    9.- Set partials triggers in dynamic region in the main page to listen to tree events.
    10.- Run and try to load a new task flow by clicking in the tree. An alert is fired with this message:
    *"The content of this page failed to load as expected because data transmission was interrupted. Please try again, or contact your system administrator."*
    And, in the log appears following lines:

    Any suggestions?
    DEMR

    Thank you. That solves the issue. Maybe a mistake in docs:
    [http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35521_01/web.111230/e16182/taskflows_regions.htm#CHDJHACA]
    It says:
    To create an ADF dynamic region:
    In the Application Navigator, select and open the JSF page where you want to create the ADF dynamic region.
    Drag and drop the first bounded task flow onto the JSF page.
    From the context menu that JDeveloper displays, choose Create > Dynamic Region.
    Choose the appropriate option in the Choose Managed Bean for Dynamic Region dialog that JDeveloper displays:
    If you want an existing managed bean to store the bounded task flow's ID, select an existing managed bean from the Managed Bean dropdown list.
    The managed bean passes the value of the bounded task flow's ID into the task flow binding of the ADF dynamic region. Make sure that the managed bean you select is not used by another ADF dynamic region.
    If no managed bean exists for the page, click the Add icon next to the Managed Bean dropdown list to create a new one. Enter values in the dialog that appears as follows:
    Bean Name: Enter a name for the new managed bean. For example, enter DynamicRegionBean.
    Class Name: Enter the name of the new managed bean class.
    Package: Enter the name of the package that is to contain the managed bean or browse to locate it.
    Extends: Enter the name of the Java class that the managed bean extends. The default value is java.lang.Object.
    Scope: This field is read-only and its value is set to backingBean. For more information about the memory scope for managed beans, see Section 18.2.4, "What You May Need to Know About Memory Scope for Task Flows."
    Click OK to close the dialogs where you configure the managed bean.

  • Dynamic Regions and parameters - issue

    Jdev 11.1.1.6
    I have a main page that contains a dynamic region. I want to pass parameters to the region.
    Note that I have successfully created parameters for a NORMAL region inside a "parent" form. With a normal "child" region in a "parent",
    1. Open the "child" taskflow, click on the whitepace, go to overview, then paraemeters and define a parameter name and value, ex: InputParam and #{pageFlowScope.InputParam}.
    2. Open the "parent" form, click on the region, go to bindings, and edit the region. You see the parameter you specified, InputParam and you can enter a value. This value will come from the parent.
    3. Set refresh to if needed.
    However,
    With a dynamic region containing more than one "child" taskflow, I am getting an error. I do everything the same above.
    However, when I have the taskflow selected on the bindings tab of the parent form, and click on the structure window, parameter node, The ID text field is surrounded by orange, and a message displays that the reference to "InputParam" is not found.
    How are the name or id values specified for a dynamic region? How does one map a parameter from the parent to the "child"? Do you need to put this into a bean?
    Thanks,
    Stuart

    1) Parent A tasflow contains Child B taskflow.
    2) Child B expects a parameter called 'inputParameterChild'
    3) This will be defined inside the child B taskflow with 'java.lang.String' and value as '#{pageFlowScope.inputParam}'
    4) When you click the child B taskflow in parent A taskflow you will see the parameter expected by child B as 'inputParameterChild'
    5) Now you can pass the value as '#{pageFlowScope.inputParam}' , here you should have the inputParam set in the bean or in the parent taskflow as explained in step 2 and 3
    are you still facing the issue?

  • Dynamic Region in Popup - clientListener problem?

    Hello,
    I'm working in Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2, following the popup/region pattern found at: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/adf/patterns/11/popupregionpattern.pdf to have a dynamic region in a popup. I already have a working implementation on one of my pages, but the exact same implementation on another page is giving me issues. Whenever I add an af:clientListener component to my popup, the table in the same panelCollection stops rendering its rows. The column headers display, but there's no text of any type in the rows. If I delete the af:clientListener, my page works perfectly.
    Here's my popup code thus far:
    <af:popup id="awdPU" contentDelivery="lazyUncached"
    launcherVar="source" eventContext="launcher">
    <af:setPropertyListener from="#{source.attributes.saId}"
    to="#{pageFlowScope.currentSaId}"
    type="popupFetch"/>
    <af:setPropertyListener from="#{source.attributes.saId}"
    to="#{pageFlowScope.currentSchlrId}"
    type="popupFetch"/>
    <af:setPropertyListener from="#{source.attributes.appId}"
    to="#{pageFlowScope.currentAppId}"
    type="popupFetch"/>
    <af:setPropertyListener from="#{source.attributes.aidYear}"
    to="#{pageFlowScope.currentAidYearId}"
    type="popupFetch"/>
    <af:setPropertyListener from="#{source.attributes.theAction}"
    to="#{pageFlowScope.currentAction}"
    type="popupFetch"/>
    <af:setPropertyListener from="#{viewScope.popupDynamicRegionBean.popupTaskFlowId}"
    to="#{viewScope.popupDynamicRegionBean.dynamicTaskFlowId}"
    type="popupFetch"/>
    <af:setPropertyListener from="#{source.attributes.orgId}"
    to="#{pageFlowScope.currentOrgId}"
    type="popupFetch"/>
    <af:panelWindow id="pw1" title="Awarding">
    <af:region value="#{bindings.dynamicRegion1.regionModel}"
    id="dynam1"
    regionNavigationListener="#{viewScope.popupDynamicRegionBean.regionNavigated}"/>
    </af:panelWindow>
    <af:serverListener type="serverPopupClosed"
    method="#{viewScope.popupDynamicRegionBean.swapEmptyTaskFlow}"/>
    <af:clientListener method="popupClosedListener"
    type="popupClosed"/>
    </af:popup>
    and here is my working, completed dynamic region + popup code:
    <af:popup id="awdPU" contentDelivery="lazyUncached" launcherVar="source"
    eventContext="launcher">

    Does anyone know of any reason a client listener would have this kind of impact on my page? I've tried other types/methods and it just seems like if an af:clientListener is there, it won't work.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    I came across this type of problem. what the javascript method u r calling it may contain some errors or if the clientListner not able to find the method which u r calling in the jspx file that will behave like that only.
    keep one alert begining of the script method(popupClosedListener) and check it whether it is calling or not. Better related serverListner should be after the ClientListner.

  • Open popup in dynamic region once region changes flows

    I need to open a popup in a flow if boolean is set to true in the pageFlowScope bean of the dynamic flow bean used in a dynamic region. The parent page/flow is configured in the adfc-config.xml and is controlled by a session bean.
    So the scenario is the main page has links to several different pages, each of which has a mean of editing a widget. The Widget edit page has a Tree object that lists the items by user defined categories. Double the tree widget opens a popup with the editor section for that particular widget. These widgets rely on each other and if there is a problem in a contained widget, then I provide a clickable link to go to that object. I'm able to get the main page to change regions to the correct widget flow.
    Once I get to the new widget control flow, the tree is displayed as usual and in the pageFlowScope bean I've set a boolean and populated the widget definition for display. Unfortuately, I have found a way to open the popup.
    I've tried a phase listener calling a method in the parent page. However, I'm not able to find the pageFlowScope bean by any means. I've set the pageFlowScope bean into the session and get it in the phaseListener method, but all attempts to show the popup seem to go into the great void. I've even added a button with the actionListener to pageFlowScope.myBean.showPopup, but can trigger the action event for that either.
    Using: JDeveloper 11g. Not using BC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you. That worked.
    I have one more question. How can I change the task flow in the dynamicRegion from another taskFlow. For example: I have taskFlow1 loaded into the dynamic region and I want on a button click from taskFlow1 to load taskFlow2 into the dynamicRegion. Is it possible?

  • Input Date does not work correctly In dynamic region

    Hello everyone.
    I created a view with a dynamic region. When switch to a region with Input Date components, if I click the "Choose Date" button, this region will exit to default region without any error message.
    The component works well in default region but not in regions switched by Link.
    I tried it in a completely new application and i am sure there is no any problem except the component and the region themselves.
    SO, if someone tied doing this and know what cause it and how to fix it?
    Edited by: 1007000 on 2013-5-20 下午8:49

    Well, i find out the problem. I set the managed bean of the region backing scope, and Input Date is a server-side component. So the taskflow id will lost when i click the Choose Date button.
    change the scope to pageflow, and it works.

  • Dynamic Class Loading and Stubs

    How Dynamic Class Loading is used on Java RMI, since stubs are generated on clients using Reflection API?
    I was reading Dynamic code downloading using JavaTM RMI (http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/rmi/codebase.html), it seems to be out of date.
    For example, "The client requests the class definition from the codebase. The codebase the client uses is the URL that was annotated to the stub instance when the stub class was loaded by the registry. Back in step 1, the annotated stub for the exported object was then registered with the Java RMI registry bound to a name."

    "Enhancements in J2SETM 5.0
    Dynamic Generation of Stub Classes
    This release adds support for the dynamic generation of stub classes at runtime, obviating the need to use the Java(tm) Remote Method Invocation (Java RMI) stub compiler, rmic, to pregenerate stub classes for remote objects. *Note that rmic must still be used to pregenerate stub classes for remote objects that need to support clients running on _earlier versions_.*
    When an application exports a remote object (using the constructors or static exportObject methods(1) of the classes java.rmi.server.UnicastRemoteObject or java.rmi.activation.Activatable) and a pregenerated stub class for the remote object's class cannot be loaded, the remote object's stub will be a java.lang.reflect.Proxy instance (whose class is dynamically generated) with a java.rmi.server.RemoteObjectInvocationHandler as its invocation handler.
    An existing application can be deployed to use dynamically generated stub classes unconditionally (that is, whether or not pregenerated stub classes exist) by setting the system property java.rmi.server.ignoreStubClasses to "true". If this property is set to "true", pregenerated stub classes are never used.
    Notes:
    * If a remote object has pre-5.0 clients, that remote object should use a stub class pregenerated with rmic or the client will get an ClassNotFoundException deserializing the remote object's stub. Pre-5.0 clients will not be able to load an instance of a dynamically generated stub class, because such a class contains an instance of RemoteObjectInvocationHandler, which was not available prior to this release.
    * Prior to the J2SE 5.0 release, exporting a remote object would throw a java.rmi.StubNotFoundException if the pregenerated stub class for the remote object's class could not be loaded. With the added support for dynamically generated stub classes, exporting a remote object that has no pregenerated stub class will silently succeed instead. A user deploying a server application to support pre-5.0 clients must still make sure to pregenerate stub classes for the server's remote object classes, even though missing stub classes are no longer reported at export time. Such errors will instead be reported to a pre-5.0 client when it deserializes a dynamically generated stub class.
    (1) The static method UnicastRemoteObject.exportObject(Remote) is declared to return java.rmi.server.RemoteStub and therefore cannot be used to export a remote object to use a dynamically generated stub class for its stub. An instance of a dynamically generated stub class is a java.lang.reflect.Proxy instance which is not assignable to RemoteStub."
