  • ESB Console: No Instances after reset.sh

    Hi
    I recently ran reset.sh on my 10.1.3.3 instance. Since then I cannot see any instances in the ESB Console. Also, there are no records in any of the ESB tables I expect, such as ESB_FAULTED_INSTANCE
    The reset.sh ran successfully and I was careful to ensure the DB connection properties were correct.
    ESB processes are running, but not getting dehydrated at any point. I know there are faulted instances, as I get e-mails informing me of errors.
    Does anyone have any ideas, as this is bugging me now..
    Cheers
    Chris

    Hi
    Further to my previous posting I am wondering if maybe the reset script has set the dehydration store to use file persistence and not database persistence.
    Does anyone know which config files determine this?
    I really need some help on this as otherwise it may have to be a re-install which will be annoying.
    Thanks

  • ESB Console Error while trying to install AIA FP 2.2

    Hi all
    I am installing AIA FP 2.2 and while installing I am getting the following error:
    "Design time cache has not been initialized"
    also
    When I log into my esb console I am getting this error:
    Designtime cache has not been initialized Please look in logs for following signs of failure. Fix them and restart. (a) Database access errors (b) ESB Bootstrap errors (c) OC4J class load errors (d) Product installation errors (e) Export ESB params and verify if host and port parameters are correct. Please contact Oracle Support if unable to fix the issue.
    Any suggestions to solve this issue?????
    Regards
    Senthil R

    Hi Senthil,
    As mentioned in the message below, please examine the logs and see if you are getting any errors. Most likely your ESB engine initialization is failing while server bootup. If there is no error in the oc4j log, OPMN log and FP install log and the propblem persists, please contact your Oracle Support by logging an SR.

  • ESB Control Instances Tab is Empty

    Hi,
    I have working on SOA Suite 10G. I have deployed ESB CustomerData Tutorial sucessfully. But this ESB is not activated meaning ESB should read customer XML from input directory every second and write into database but that is not happening. If you login to ESB Control Instances TAB is empty. Meaning ESB is not getting invoked at all.
    PLease let me know what can be the issue.
    Regards,
    PB

    Hi.
    Probably your File Adapter is not being triggered by the polling activity. This can be for several reasons. You need to check all your adapter configuration like file name pattern, and that your physical path where your XML file resides matches the one you configured in the adapter.
    Also check for the logs under ORACLE_HOME\opmn\logs.

  • Error Message Tag Empty in ESB

    Hi,
    I am using 10.1.3.4 SOA Suite .I have a FTP adapter in ESB which places my processed file in a FTP location .The problem i am facing is the file which needs to be palced in the FTP location is getting placed perfectly as expected but in the ESB console the instances throws a Error.When i check the Error Message in the Console its empt .There is no data in the Trqace Tag too.The data is perfect and thepurpose of my FTP adapter is also working fine but a error instance is created....
    One more thing is this doesnt happen for all the instances... it happens only for some instaces and it doesnt repeat for the same data also sometimes one time the instance is fine with one kind of data and on the other the same data throws an error in the instace....
    Can somebody help me why this error occurs ? and how it can be solved....
    I cannot resubmit the created error instance as the file is already created and if i resubmit another Duplicate file will be created which i dont need...

    Hi,
    I'm didn't faced same issues.
    Could you please provide error_message from next query in ESB Repository DB:
    select fi.* from oraesb.esb_faulted_instance fi, oraesb.esb_activity a where fi.activity_id = a.id and a.flow_id='&flow_id.';
    (flow_id - it's Instance Flow Id that you can see in ESB Control).
    If this error message is also empty, I would suggest to enable Oracle ESB Logging (esb.server.service, esb.server.common) and analyze the log files when this issue occurs again.

  • Error when calling BPEL from ESB in clustered environment

    Hi
    We have recently installed SOA Suite in a clustered environment and have a serious issue.
    I am not able to call BPEL processes from my ESB services via WSIF (by using the 'browse target operation' in JDeveloper). The exception i get at runtime is this.
    "javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: ejb/collaxa/system/DeliveryBean not found"
    When I instead call the BPEL process via SOAP (by using a SOAP invocation service i JDeveloper) it works fine.
    Everything works fine in development environment which not are clustered.
    Has anyone any excperience from using ESB in a clustered environment?
    Regards
    Kalle Viklund

    Hi
    ESB and BPEL resides in the same oc4j-instance. Though, esb-rt and orabpel are different applications in that oc4j-instance. And the lookup 'ejb/collaxa/system/DeliveryBean' only exists in the orabpel application.
    In the ESB Console I already have the same setting for the 'BPELSystem' as for the 'Defaultsystem'.
    Cluster name: esb_prod
    Virtual host: prod1.sth.nu
    Port: 80
    Topic location: ESBTopics/Topics/ESB_JAVA_DEFERRED
    Connection factory location: OracleOJMS/XATCF

    Hi
    You are trying to create a locator object with default values which does not work at all times.Use Locator("default",prop) where prop is a properties object and set the values according to your environment.
    The following properties values must be set
    Properties props=new Properties();
    props.setProperty("orabpel.platform","ias_10g");
    props.setProperty("java.naming.factory.initial","com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory");
    props.setProperty("java.naming.provider.url", "url value");
    props.setProperty("java.naming.security.principal","domain user name");
    props.setProperty("java.naming.security.credentials","password");
    props.setProperty("dedicated.rmicontext", "true");

  • Unable to get the BPEL process in esb console

    Hi,
    I am facing an issue with code generated using artifact generator in FP 2.4.
    When I deploy a Provider ABCS process(generated through artifcat generator), it does not appear in the BPEL system of my esb console because of which i am not able to create a routing service for that BPEL process in my ESB.
    I am able to find only those bpel processes in the esb console which are not generated through artifact generator.
    kindly suggest what can be done.

    Hi GPR,
    I assume there are no compilation errors and you are able to deloy the process successfully. Do you see any errors in the log file while deploying the process? You may want to check the $SOA_HOME/opmn/logs/default~oc4j_soa~xxx.log file.
    Do you see the process in BPEL Console and able to unit-test it?

  • ESB Console turns Request/Response message into One Way message

    Hi folks,
    have come across a strange situation and wondered if anyone else had come across this. Maybe it's fixed as part of a patch set.
    I'm running SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0 on Windows.
    After I've created and deployed a Request/Response service (either RS or SOAP Invocation Service) if I go to the ESB Console and click on "Apply" in say the Definition tab, my service turns into a One Way service.
    This then causes null pointer exceptions when I run my process, as you might expect.
    If I redeploy from JDev and leave the "Apply" button alone I'm back in business.
    Is this something that anyone else has had a problem with?

    Hi.
    I would recommend you to install version 10.1.3.3 of SOA Suite
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/ias/10133/ias_windows_x86_101330.zip
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/linux/ias/10133/ias_linux_x86_101330.zip
    Also, use the JDev 10.1.3.3
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jdev/htdocs/soft10133.html
    They are supposed to be much more stable.
    After using the new release, let us know if you still run into this problem.

  • ESB Services nor Default System not showing up in ESB console

    We are running SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 and the services within the ESB console are not showing up immediately after logging into the console. I have verified that the credentials
    within the esb_paramater table are correct. We have also increased the amount of max cursors on the DB. Is there something else
    that we can try to get those services up and running?

    So you can ping and nslookup from your ms to these agents and vice versa right?  I wouldn't do a manual install, I would push the agent from the management server.  You can uninstall the agent manually, or use cleanmom to get rid of them.  Then
    do an install from the console.  When you initiate the install from the console (management server), should it run into any issues it will dump out an error which will give you an idea of where the problem may be.

  • Cannot start BW or HANA instances in SAP Management console

    Hi,
    I created instance of "SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP5 incl. SAP Business Objects BI 4.1 SP2 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP7". When I'm trying to start SAP BW or SAP HANA instances in "SAP Management console" via remote desktop connection I receive an error message :
    "WebService error: 21 The operation timed out" / "The RPC server in unavailable".
    Any ideas how to fix this?

    Hi,
    See note: 535532
    Mid way through the note it says:
    You can then register the SAP J2EE Engine as a windows-service by using the SAP J2EE Engine Config Tool. Open a command prompt and change to the directory <J2EE Engine installation directory>configtool and run configtool.bat or start this tool via your Start-Menu "Tools->Config Tool" of the J2EE Server entry. Select at the left navigation area of this tool the entry "cluster/ server" the checkbox "Enabled" at the tabstrip "NT Service". Apply these settings by clicking on "File->Apply" at the menu. Do the same with the entry "cluster / dispatcher".
    After you have finished these steps you can register now the J2EE Engine as a windows service.
    Start service.exe, which is also located in the directory
    <J2EE Engine installation directory>configtool. It works with three
    parameters:
    Service.exe u2013install u2013 the service(s) is (are) registered as NT/2000 Service(s). For each specified cluster node, a separate service is generated. All services have startup mode automatic. To start the service(s), open the Control Panel ¨Services folder. Find the service in the list of available services (for example: SAP J2EE Server 1, SAP J2EE Dispatcher 1, SAP J2EE Server 2, and so on). Select it, and choose u201CStartu201D on the right-hand side. No u201CStartup Parametersu201D are needed for the service to run. The system starts the particular J2EE Engine 6.20 node in background mode. It can be used and administered as usual. The only difference is that the server does not run in a console window.
    There may be other notes along these lines.
    You should also check any notes on the setup of SAP in MSCS cluster, as it will contain instructions for registering the services.
    Hope this gives you a pointer in the right direction.

Reason : "oracle.tip.esb.server.common.cache.CacheException: Could not load WSDL definition into the cache for WSDL "esb:///ESB_Projects/ESBSamples_CustomerData/CustIn.wsdl"! Reason : WSDL Parsing Failed: org.apache.slide.structure.ObjectNotFoundException: No object found at /files/ESB_Projects!
    "</MSG_TEXT>
    Anyone have any ideas. I have seen some mention of this error on these forums but not resolution.
    Regards
    JP

    Marc
    Thanks for your reply. I went ahead and did a re-install of the oraesb repository. No errors reported. Then I restarted the processes. Log output is below. Still nothing in the ESB Console. When I go to services and do a refresh, i.e. click on the refresh button, it hangs.
    Just to see what happens I went back into JDev and tried to deploy the CustomerData project. In connections, I first tested the App Server and the Intergration server and made a successful connection. So next came an attempt to Register with ESB. JDev returned the following:
    error code: 0 : 10
    summary: An unhandled exception has been thrown in the ESB system. The exception reported is: "java.lang.NullPointerException
