Error in Manage BP: Business partner Invalid

Hi friends,
We are working with SRM5.0, SP08.
I have cretated a vendor business partner through supplier registration route and also have maintained an employee for the same.
Later, when I try to make any changes in personal data of this employee (through manage business partner) in change mode, system gives me error "Business partner XXX is invalid".
I would appreciate, if anybody can guide me to resolve this problem.

Hi Prashant,
The mistake in the entire process is as follows.
You have created employee BP 343 but while creating the same you have not made the checkbox "Employee is the Contact Person" active and saved it.
This results into non - linkage of your BP 342 with Employee BP 343.
Now as per the screen shot what you are trying to achive is that you are opening 343 in edit mode with BP 342 and trying to make checkbox "Employee is the Contact Person" active , for which the system gives an error. ( We have simulated the case over here).
This could be reported to OSS as BUG, because system is not allowing you to change BP 343 in conjunction with 342.
If you do not follow the steps mentioned earlier than probably system does not create this BP 343 with BP role BUP001, and hence the error.
To prove this point, you can create another Employee BP, but while doing so, make the check box active in the first instance.

Error while creating a business partner / sponsor

Hi experts,
I am getting the following error (same as the one posted by one of the other users) when i try to create a business partner in the 'sponsor' role:
Sponsor does not have a customer associated with it.
Because of this error I AM STUCK!!! and cannot move forward with the rest of the customization. I searched all the settings and researched this error - couldnt find anything useful.

You can adjust your customizing in a way to create the customer automatically at the time of creating the sponsor, or you can first create the sponsor and link it to a customer afterwards. This will depend on how the sponsor Role (Standard is PSSP01) is set.
you can find it in the IMG> Master Data Synchronization> Customer/Vendor Integration> Business Partner Settings> Settings for Customer Integration> Set BP Role Category for Direction BP to Customer
and check options 'Customer-based' or 'Optional for Customer'

Error while searching for Business Partner in Web UI

Hi,
While searching for the Business Partner in Web UI either by First Name, last name or Account ID, we are getting following error:
Cannot display view BSPWD_BASICS/ErrorView2 of Component CRM_UI_Frame
An exception has occured
Exception class: CX_BOL_EXCEPTION - Access previously deleted Entity
Method: CL_CRM_BOL_ENTITY=>GET_ROOT

When the business partner blind search is given (i.e. by entering *), all the business partners get displayed without any problem.
Also, this problem occurs only for some business partners and NOT ALL.
This problem, has also been observed sometimes when an IBase entry is created in the background.
We are not quite sure whether notes, 135814 & 1515327 will help us in this regard, as the root cause is still unknown.
Could anyone suggest possible causes and solution for the same. We are on CRM 7, using the standard business role.

Hi Shiromani,
We have observed that this problem is peculiar with the data records attached to IBase ONLY. It means, if we process them further e.g. create a contract for the Business Partner after attaching the IBase, this problem doesnt occur. Then we are able to search the BP without any error.
In short, when an IBase is created for a BP, and if a search is given for such BP, the error given in the first thread occurs, But when an IBase is created and immediately after that a contract is attached to the BP, and if a search is given for such BP, then there is no error.
We are still further investigating the root cause. But any suggestion/inputs are welcome.

Error while consuming "Find Business Partner Elements by Elements" service

Hi,
I am consuming the standard enterprise service "Find Business Partner Elements by Elements" with technical name "BusinessPartnerCRMElementsByElementsQueryResponse_In" in Webdynpro CE 7.1 . The service provider is CRM 7.0.
The response from the enterprise service contains a structure called categorycode as ,

This seems to throw an error in when we execute the application . The error we receive is
1. "Check nested exception for details. (Parameter set failure. The runtime was not able to set some result parameter value."

1      Person      The business partner is a natural person.
2      Organization      The business partner is an organization.
3      Group      The business partner is a group of natural persons or organizations.
Are you setting any values to this?

In order to solve this kind of error you have to map Debtors and Creditors account in Administration> Setup> Financials> GL Account Determination> Sale and Purchase Tab.
Also One more important thing you have to map Bank Setup also in Administration>System Initialization> Company Details> Basic Initialization Tab> House Bank Setup......

Organisation management or business partner groups

Hi,
we are using the change request management in the SAP solution manager. All relevant persons are modelled as business partners.
As we want to use our organisation management (from our SAP-HCM-System) to build the organizational structure of our company.
Does anybody synchronized the organisational structure or would be to create business partner groups the better way, because only some departments are using the crm.

Synchronization with HR can of course be done. But if you don't need so complex organization on crm side or even what to have it a bit different, then you can build on crm organization from scratch. That's what we did.

Error on Creating New Business Partner

We have client who are using SAP Business One 2007 A (8.00.181) SP:00 PL: 49; they have been using the system for more than three years perfectly good .Now they have started to face a problem of Creating new Business Partners and System is recurring with an error message that u201CThis entry is already exist on the following tables u2018Business Partnersu2019 (OCRD) (ODBC u2013 2085) [Message 131 u2013 183]u201D while there is no such kind of record exist on the system. So can any one help on this problem?

Please check OCRD and ACRD table.
OCRD table is for whether the Business Partner Master is already present or not.
And ACRD is for whether the Business Partner Created and Deleted from OCRD and logs manitained in ACRD.......

Error insert bank in business partner

Dear experts,
one of my customers, can't insert new bank account in business partner.
The error is:
This entry already exists in the following tables 'BP-Bank Account' (OCRB)
I try to update business partner by DTW but I have the same error.
I made this query:
select bankcode from ocrd where cardcode = {business partner's cardcode}
in the field I found the value NULL
I made another query:
select bankcode from ocrb where cardcode = {business partner's cardcode}
there isn't any value in ocrb for this business partner

Hi,
The issue seems to be a database corruption. You need to log in a Support ticket to SAP to get the issue investigated.
You can also check ote no. :1364929 regarding the issue you are getting to check for related error.

Error in create a business partner

Hello.
When i create via BAPI a business partner, the system sends me the message:
No authorization to change partner in role
What is the problem?

The problem is with the authorization. Ask your BASIS security to provide authorization. You can check the failed authorizations from SU53 after executing that BAPI.

Bank and account error when adding a business partner using DTW

I need your help please. I am trying to add a business partner using DTW but the load fails with a message "Bank and account do not exist in the company Application-defined or object-defined error65171".
The related fields that I am using in the business partner file (csv) are:
AccountNo
BankCode
Branch
Country
I am sure that the bank and account exist because previously I manually added a customer with the same bank and data that I am using in the dtw interface.

This seems to be a BASIS issue, look for SAP Notes.
Alternatively, It may be that a table / program is deactivated.
If not resolved, better raise a ticket with SAP.

Some Managers have dual role (Line Manager and Business Partner).

As a Line Manager, he/she should be able to view and maintain records of his subordinate employees according to organisation structure.
As a HRBP, he/she should be able to view and maintain records of employees based on Pers Admin field in Infotype 1(Organizational Assignment).
Managers with dual role have to see all employees in their org structure and also all employees who have Pers Admin assigned to them(For ex. HY3 Lorraine Brent to see all employees who have HY3 in IT0001)
Pls let me know how do we capture the above requirement.

Business Partner in Solution Manager

Hi Experts,
I met with a problem when I try to create a support message.
I have created the business partner ID (31) for my user ID with the Role of Business Partner(Gen.) and Employee. I have also specify the <System ID><Installation Number><Client><User ID> (Separated by space in between) in the Identification tab with the ID type as CRM0001.
I try to create a support message by entering the mandatory field and hit "Enter" button, then after that I click on the "Save" button. The system prompt an error message indicating that "Business Partner 31 cannot be the reporter". But if I just click "Save" button without hitting "Enter" after entering the mandatory field, I will not hit with this problem.
Is there anything that I need to do in order to overcome this problem?

Error R1201 Business Partner does not exist (Treasury)

Please could you help.
I have created a Treasury Business Partner using transaction BPC1. When I display using BPC3, the partner exists.
I then create the Transaction Authorisations using TBI6.
However when I try to create a transaction e.g. through TX01, the error message says "R1201 Business Partner does not exist"
Any ideas or advice would be much much much appreciated, and points awarded accordingly.

The transaction code to Maintain Business partner is BP. I am not sure in which version you are.
When you create a BP it creates inthe role of Business Partner - Gen - 000000.
In order to create a transaction using a BP, they should exist in the role of Counterparty - TR0151. But since you say that you have maintained TBI6, then I thinkyou should have the BP in the role of counterparty. SO I am not sure what is wrong. If you can send screen shots, I can help.

Error message when deleting Business transaction: Activity in CRM

Hi All,
I am trying to delete a couple of Activities from CRM (Production system) and encounter two error message: "Enter a Business Partner" and "Administration header not found."
I have tried three ways to delete/archive the activity numbers in the system:
1) Using T code: CRMD_ORDER and then while in change mode - trying to delete the activities. When I tried this I get a warning message: "Enter a Business Partner" after I hit enter the warning: "Administration header not found." comes up and then takes you to the Easy access Menu after hitting enter.
2) I used T code SE38 to open program: "CRM_Order_Delete", here I entered the activity #s that I want to delete, the Activity Transaction type, select check box "Parallel" and then execute. I see a job log which says "Number of archived records = 3", the log shows that no records were deleted.
3) I have also tried archiving using T code SARA. But this also didn't seem to work. Here, I entered the Archiving object: CRM ACTON, then click on Preprocessing. I created a variant with the transaction type and activity numbers then set the start time to immediate and executed (F8) it. Even then I was not able to archive these activities. I did set the activities to status Complete.
Am I missing something? Appreciate your help.

Received response from SAP support partner:
Please verify first if the issue is caused by badi implementation
of ORDER_SAVE badi. Please check method prepare and check_before_save.
Maybe inside your implementation the function crm_order_read is called
but that is not possible in case of deleting a document as document is
not available anymore.
If that doesn't work try this one:
Please check to see if you have a badi ORDER_SAVE method
CHANGE_BEFORE_UPDATE. Please deactiviate the ORDER_SAVE Badi and retestthe deletion.
This is how we resovled our issue - hope this helps someone else:
Check using T Code: SE80 to look for a BADI implementation which used BADI: ORDER_SAVE:
SE80-> Package: Z* (look for custom packages) -> Look under enhancements for any BADI Implementations which have used ORDER_SAVE (double click implementation and in the right pane look under Definition name).
Click 'Change' and deactivate this implementaiton. Now try to delete the CRM transaction. The error msg should not pop up now. Once deletion is completed reactivate this implementation.
This is just a work around. The problem lies in the code and the code within the implementation should be debugged and fixed so that this error message does not come up again.
