Error in opening bpc excel

Hi all,
When I am trying to open bpc excel, I am getting error message like "Cannot download ACCOUNT member information."
Can anyone please give me the solution.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Prakash

I've seen this or something very similar when the following occurs:  Changing the members used to secure an application without updating the member access profiles, e.g. adding ACCOUNT as a secure dimension.  Users who had access prior to the change see this error on the next log in attempt.
Hope that helps,
Jeff

  • EVfunctions fails using web template (without openning BPC Excel)

    When we publish a template in the contant libary, it gives us a url. We use this url to access from a sap portal. Then, the template bottoms with macros that have EVfunctions don't work. We need to open the BPC Excel Client to run it.
    ¿How can we use a web template directly from the url? (without openning the BPC Excel Client)

    maybe I'm explaining bad myself, or maybe I don't underestand your answer.
    I will try to explain it step by step my problem,
    we made a template, with evfunctions, like match-codes, refresh buttom, and another buttoms with Ev functions. This template is used to introduce user-values, so the users can fill the template and save the introduce data in the application.
    We publish it with the content library, so we get a url. We put this URL in sap portal, like a link to this template.
    When users or administrators wants to use this template by this link, it is opened with internet explorer, but the cannot use this template, because, those buttoms and functions doesn't works if we openned in this way. The only way to use this link is if we connect to the bpc excel client, before we use this link. But our question or problem is that we don't want to use in these way, we want to start introducing data and using the template directly from the url.
    So our question is: is there any possibility to do that? and if it is, how can we apply it?
    thanks for your answers.

  • Error when opening exported Excel document

    hi,
    i'm using the following to let the user export JSP to Excel file:
    response.setContentType("application/download ");
    response.setHeader("Content-Disposition","attachment; filename=test.xls");
    problem happens only for the first when i try to open the file in excel.
    Excel gives me " 'test.xls[1]' could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct. ...."
    Subsequent tries work fine with no problem.
    i noticed that Excel is trying to open a file with a different name, appending [1], which obviosuly doesn't find in its first try.
    i would appreciate any kind of clue.
    thank you.

    I got this from a different post on this forum.
    Basically, on your JSP page which you want to export to Excel, set the content type and header as below. Then the browser(Internet Explorer) will try to open the excel document in itself.
    <%
    response.setContentType("application/vnd.ms-excel");
    response.setHeader("Content-Disposition","attachment; filename=" + "test.xls" );

    Currently, i'm trying a different approach.
    I'm using POI from jakarta site to create Excel file manually.
    here's a snippet of my code in my web request handler that creates an Excel file.
    String exportType =(String) request.getParameter("export_type");
    if(exportType!=null && exportType.equals(WebConstants.EXPORT_TYPE_MS_EXCEL))
    HSSFWorkbook workbook = new HSSFWorkbook();
    HSSFSheet sheet = workbook.createSheet("Test Sheet");
    HSSFCell cell = null;
    HSSFCellStyle cellStyle = workbook.createCellStyle();
    HSSFFont font = workbook.createFont();
    font.setColor((short)0xc);
    font.setBoldweight(HSSFFont.BOLDWEIGHT_BOLD);
    cellStyle.setFont(font);
    HSSFRow titleRow = sheet.createRow((short)0);
    cell = titleRow.createCell((short)0);
    cell.setCellValue("Order ID");
    cell.setCellStyle(cellStyle);
    cell = titleRow.createCell((short)1);
    cell.setCellValue("Order Time");
    cell.setCellStyle(cellStyle);
    for(short i=0; i<blotterModelList.size(); i++)
    BlotterModel model = (BlotterModel)blotterModelList.get(i);
    HSSFRow row = sheet.createRow((short)(i+1));
    row.createCell((short)0).setCellValue(model.getOrderId());
    row.createCell((short)1).setCellValue(model.getOrderTime());
    ServletOutputStream stream = response.getOutputStream();
    response.setContentType("application/vnd.ms-excel");
    workbook.write(stream);
    stream.flush();
    stream.close();
    Sir: I am having touble with my excel exporting.
    Could you show me what you are doing and I can go to

  • Error while opening an excel file via labview

    i don't know why i get this message,then the excel won't open at all

    It appears that the New Report .vi only accepts the .xlt template format and not .xltx as one would commonly expect. I am currently working to determine for sure that this is the case, but it does run (mostly) properly on my end if you make that change.
    When I say mostly, I mean there are a couple other minor issues with your code. First the first frame of your sequence structure is really accomplishing anything. If your intent is to open a reference to the excel template, there is no need because the New Report .vi does it automatically.
    Second, you will need a file path of some sort wired in to your Save Report to File .vi or else you will get a different error message after fixing the .xlt issue. I am currently researching whether this should be marked as a required terminal instead of recommended so that it not being wired would result in a broken run arrow rather than an error.
    Let me know if these suggestions resolve your issue, or if I can provide further input on what you are doing in your first frame. I will touch base again once I determine whether these are expected behaviors or bugs.

  • Bug : Invalid file extension error when opening exported excel

    Hi All,
    In one of my jsff page, i have implemented 'exportToExcel' functionality through a exportcollectionactionlistener on a table to export its data to excel. When i try opening the generated excel, i get the following warning in excel 2007 :
    "The file you are trying to open, 'Export.xls,' is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?" - When I clicked YES to the message, the exported excel opened and data is present.
    How can i get rid of this warning message, because it is annoying for any user to click YES every time the excel is opened ? I am using jdev version 11.1.1.6.0 This is my code :
    <af:commandToolbarButton text="Export to Excel" id="cb1">
    <af:exportCollectionActionListener exportedId="t1"
                               type="excelHTML"
                               filename="Export.xls"
                               title="Excel export"/>
    </af:commandToolbarButton>I found a similar forum post here File format of exportCollectionActionListener ADF 11g But they are suggesting a registry fix which is not possible in production environment.
    Any possible workaround or suggestions to resolve this issue is much appreciated.
    Thanks

    You can save the data on the client and the check the data.
    Have you considered using POI to generate real xsl workbook files?

  • Power view error while opening excel fine in SharePoint 2010

    I am getting an error while opening an excel file:
    "The following features
    are not supported in the browser and might not display or might display only partially:
    • Comments, Shapes, or other
    objects
    Some features, such as external
    data queries, display cached data which can only be refreshed in the client version of Excel."
    Is this issue browser
    related or SharePoint related?

    Hiya,
    it depends what that file contains. There are a lot of new features for Excel, Excel services in the newer versions of SharePoint and SQL server. So it really depends on which of these features your using in your excel file.
    What version is your SharePoint and SQL server(database services) and SQL Reporting?
    There is a pretty specific article for that error message relating to PowerPivot.

  • Excel service and OWA - getting ERROR while trying to open/edit Excel documents

    Hi All,

  • Error while opening a Office 2007 Excel (.xlsx) from a Servlet

    Hi All,
    Actually i am trying to open an excel file from a servlet. It works fine when the file format is .xls. But if it is .xlsx it gives the below error.
    "The file you are trying to open .xlsx is in a different format than specified by the file extension. verify the file is not corrupted and is from trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?"
    There is a link in the application. When we click the link it calls the servlet. The servlet calls the DAO. The DAO queries the DB and the whole output is stuffed into a StringBuffer and the StringBuffer is written to the ServletOutputStream. I have used
    File newFile = new File("ABC.xslx");
    response.setContentType("application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet");
    I have also included the below in the web.xml file.
    <mime-mapping>
    <extension>xlsx</extension>
    <mime-type>application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet</mime-type></mime-mapping>
    Kindly help me out.

  • "Error -2147352573 occured at Member not found" when trying to open an excel template

    I'm trying to open an excel document as a template using the report generation tools but coming up with this error.  I've traced the error to NI_ReportGenerationToolkit.lvlib:Excel_Open_Workbook.vi but have to idea why it's happening.  The document seems to be fine as I can open and edit it in Excel.  Has anyone else seen this?  I'm using Labview 8.6 and Excel 2000.  I've attached an image of the error and it's source.  Thanks.

    Hi Mike,
    Thanks for pointing out the compatibility issue. I got the error with version 1.1.3 and therefore upgraded to 1.1.4 - after taking a glance at the readme document. I guess that I was mistaking the supported OS version ("Windows Vista/XP/2000") with the supported version of MS Office ("2007/2003/XP").
    I originally received the error when running an executable on a Office 2000 machine. The executable was built on a Office 2003 machine since I have previously been able to build on Office 2003 and run on 2000. I'm not sure what was different with this executable. Anyway, after installing the LV development system on the Office 2000 machine, the issue turned out to be that some ActiveX methods had been disconnected. All I had to do was re-point the Invoke Nodes to the appropriate ActiveX methods.
    Please note that my application in this case is very simple and therefore only exposes a small part of the Office 2000 ActiveX API. I'm sure that I would run into a non-compatibility wall if I were to implement more Office 2000 functions with RGT 1.1.4.

    Hi, i'm new using numbers, and when I try to open a excel file don't let me do it, instead appears a box whit a error and close app,  any help?

    What does the error say?
    A couple of thoughts: the file is corrupted or is password-protected. Corruption is more likely to cause Numbers to crash & Numbers cannot open password-protected Excel files. Try using one of the free Office clones & see what happens.
