Error in Parsing the Taglib portion of JSP
Weblogic failed to parse the JSP file. In the JSP file, I use Tag libraries.
The setter method in the Tag class accepts the input as 'java.lang.Object'.
If I pass the attribute value as string as given below in the error
attached, the JSP compiler complains that it can not do the conversion.
But if I pass the attribute as <%="true"%>, which is java String class, then
it works great or if I accept the data in the setter method as
java.lang.String, it works good. The same page works fine with 'JRun' and
'Tomcat' and I think I am coding to the JAVA standards.
If anyone knows the workaround or fix for the problem, please let me know.
Error Message/Stack Trace
=====================
/test/PhraseMaintenance.jsp(39): for tag 'input', property 'readonly' of tag
handler class 'com.faf.fwk.jsp.tags.form.InputTag', the property value must
be a runtime expression "<%=...%>", since we cannot do an automatic
convertion from "true" to type 'java.lang.Object'
probably occurred due to an error in /test/PhraseMaintenance.jsp line 39:
<faf:input readonly="true" style="HEIGHT: 19px; WIDTH: 75px" name

Thanks
Guru.
Did you find out solution to this problem and know what causes it. I am getting
the same thing and found your post with problem but don't see any replies to it
on the newsgroup. Can you please help me ?

Error in parsing the taglib tag in the JSP page
Hi
We are trying to deploy and run a Web Application in CE 7.1 SP01. We are successful in deploying and running servlet based web pages, but when it comes to JSP's the taglibs are not parsed and we get the following error message
Runtime error in processing of the JSP file E:\usr\sap\CE1\J01\j2ee\cluster\apps\sap.com\TestNWEAR\servlet_jsp\TestNW\root\admin\main.jsp.
The error is: com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.jspparser_api.exception.JspParseException: Error in parsing the taglib tag in the JSP page. Cannot resolve URI: [webwork]. Possible reason - validation failed. Check if your TLD is valid against its scheme.02004C4F4F5000190000004E000013400191D308B45
Processing HTTP request to servlet [jsp] finished with error.
The error is: java.io.FileNotFoundException: E:\usr\sap\CE1\J01\j2ee\cluster\apps\sap.com\TestNWEAR\servlet_jsp\TestNW\root\admin\webwork (The system cannot find the file specified)02004C4F4F50001900000051000013400191D308B45AF1AB
We followed the below weblog to correct the TLD's in JAVA EE 5 @ SAP but it did not work for us.

XI SOAP adapter : Error during parsing the SOAP part
Hello experts,
We have several scenarios SOAP to IDocs.
We are on XI 3.0 SP19, and since 9/6/09 around 4:00 PM GMT, our SOAP channels used to communicate with a specific 3rd party all stoped accepting incoming SOAP requests. All the messages are stucked on third party side, and we get the following error in the defaulttrace and application logs :
#1.5#001125A5BCD00066000076850013109E00046BF6A963E479#1244607054865#/Applications/ExchangeInfrastructure/AdapterFramework/SAPLibraries/SAPXDK#sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.soapadapter#com.sap.aii.messaging.mo.Message.reparseRootDocument()#PIMSOAP#21217##pxaci_PXA_6443451#PIMSOAP#a71ebfa0556d11decc24001125a5bcd0#SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_50##0#0#Error#1#com.sap.aii.messaging.mo.Message#Plain###Error during parsing the SOAP part --- java.lang.NullPointerException#
It happened at the same time on all the environments for every interfaces using SOAP message from this sender to XI. That's the reason why we think it is a global issue, but we can not find anything concerning this error. Has anybody encountered this error or would have any clue of where it comes from ?
Many thanks,
Best regards,
GuislainHello Michal,
Thanks a lot for your help. Actualy we have tested with SOAP UI yesterday and this is what came out of the tests :
test 1 : we tried to call the XI service with the wsdl and put dummy data inside --> test OK
test 2 : we loaded in SOAP UI one of the file from our partner and tried to call the service --> test NOT OK
test 3 : we realized that there were some blank lines at the beginning of the file provided by the partner. we removed these blank lines --> test OK.
So we first thought that the format of the file sent by the partner was wrong and this is why we were getting the parsing error, because of these blank line. The thing is that these blank lines have always been here ! We have checked with old successful messages and they contain also these lines and if we test them in SOAP UI we get an error also. so it does not seems to come from this.
Moreover, as I said in my previous message, it happened on all the environments approximatly at the same time, so we are suspecting a global problem, but which one ? That's the million dollar question
Would you have any other ideas ?
Thanks a lot,
Best regards,

The application tries to download something from java.sun.com site but the server can not access internet. The process is repeated for each TLD file !
After a very time (more than 45 minutes!), the server finally starts and all adobe application are active
So, how to correct this behaviror ? is there a patch?

I tried your suggestion, but it didn't help. I think the Ci jar file is getting loaded, because when I try to call any other interface whos class files are not included in CI jar file, it gives different error like "Not Authorized (90,6)Failed to execute PSSession request Cannot find Component Interface {LACATION_TABLE} (91,2)".
We verified all the configuration on Adapter and Peoplesoft aerver, every thing seems to be absolutely fine, even I turned on debug log level for adapter but that is not of any use.
I tried searching on the google, it seems many people who used Component Interface Java Classes faced such type of problem, they recommended some peoplesoft configuration, I tried their suggestions as well, but that also didn't work out.
Even though we are using Peoplesoft 8.4 Adapter asks for pstools.properties file whenever the BPEL Process is invoked, this file is there in the adapters lib directory, and jca-app-adapter directory, see below the log.

Do you use a specific "encoding" like UTF-8 or ISO-8859-1 in your Sender CC.
Try changing the Transfer mode to Binary instead of Text.
Also go through these links:-

Invalid char in XML from inbound IDoc
Hope this provides a solution.

How to parse the output of a JSP?
Hi,
I need to parse the generated contents of a JSP file from within the web application (i.e. another JSP). Any ideas how this might work? It seems that XPath will not parse a file which doesn't end in .xml, and even if it did, I get the feeling it would parse the source file rather than the output.
Cheers,
CatalinIt is a javascript bit taken directly from the XPath example at W3Schools ( [Example Page|http://www.w3schools.com/XPath/xpath_examples.asp], or [Code|http://www.w3schools.com/XPath/tryit.asp?filename=try_xpath_select_pricenodes_text] ).

Receiver SOAP channel error-- Cant parse the document; HTTP 200 OK
Hi All,
I am facing below error in SOAP receiver communication channel
SOAP: Error occurred: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.io.IOException: Cant parse the document; HTTP 200 OK
If I use "Do Not se SOAP Envelop" in receiver communication channel then it shows successfully delivered in message monitoring but never reached to target application. And if I uncheck "Do Not se SOAP Envelop" then the error is as I mentioned above.
Both ways it not working foe me.
Please advice.
Thanks
ShiviHi
I had a similar issue recent times and I have enablede the xpi inspector to check the logs of the request and the response sent and received...
Based on that you can check whether your payload is able to sent to receiver in proper format or any other issues..
Also try to check the payload format using the SOAPUI whether the ws is working fine for that or not.

My application gives "Error in parsing taglib 'tagLib' tag in web.xml "
Hi ,
My Portal application developed completely on JSP Dynpages and JSPs gives <b>at times</b> the following error
"Error in parsing taglib 'tagLib' tag in web.xml or .tld file of the taglib library.."
I know that this error comes when the taglib declared in the jsp and portalapp.xml doesn't match. But I have made sure that they are the same.
Can anyone give me an opinion as to why this problem is occuring inspite of making sure that the taglib declaration are same in jsp and portalapp.xml.
Is the problem on the server side??
Valuable suggestions would be rewarded!!
-Thanks
Padmarajan.Hi Anagha,
No the application is accessed using an http link.
I am unable to make out why this error comes up only once in a while and when you refresh the screen it starts working fine.
This is my big issue because when

I'm using JFreeChart to display the chart and I define the following taglib in my JSP.
<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/chartlib.tld" prefix="chartlib" %>
It works in Tomcat and WebLogic, but not webtogo, got this exception.
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Illegal name: /WEB-INF/chartlib.tld
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source)
at oracle.lite.web.ServletHandler$ServletClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
at oracle.jsp.parse.JspUtils.loadClassJDK(JspUtils.java:219)
at oracle.jsp.parse.JspUtils.loadClass(JspUtils.java:209)
I have to hardcode the app name in order to make it work. Is there any good solution?
<%@ taglib uri="//webapp/WEB-INF/chartlib.tld" prefix="chartlib" %>
And it just solve the exception problem, it actually cannot show the chart. Anyone use the jfreechart or has problem in using custom tag library?
MatthewI put the chartlib.tld in /WEB-INF/ and here is my web.xml. The uri of the taglib directive in JSP is exactly the taglib-uri here for each case.
<taglib>
<taglib-uri>/WEB-INF/chartlib.tld</taglib-uri>
<taglib-location>/WEB-INF/chartlib.tld</taglib-location>
</taglib>
<taglib>
<taglib-uri>chartlib-01.tld</taglib-uri>
<taglib-location>/chartlib.tld</taglib-location>
</taglib>
<taglib>
<taglib-uri>chartlib-02.tld</taglib-uri>
<taglib-location>/no_chartlib.tld</taglib-location>
</taglib>
<taglib>
<taglib-uri>chartlib-03.tld</taglib-uri>
<taglib-location>/WEB-INF/chartlib.tld</taglib-location>
</taglib>
<taglib>
<taglib-uri>chartlib-04.tld</taglib-uri>
<taglib-location>chartlib.tld</taglib-location>
</taglib>
<taglib>
<taglib-uri>chartlib-05.tld</taglib-uri>
<taglib-location>no_chartlib.tld</taglib-location>
</taglib>
<taglib>
<taglib-uri>/WEB/chartlib.tld</taglib-uri>
<taglib-location>/WEB-INF/chartlib.tld</taglib-location>
</taglib>
And I have modified the source code in JspDirectiveTaglib.java to output some debug message, where s1 is the value of uri in JSP, s3 is the value of taglib-location in web.xml. Here is the result. It tries to load s1 first. If it returns null, then it reads the tld file s2. It shows that the leading '/' represent the webapp dir. If it is relative (i.e. no '/'), it refers to the /WEB-INF as you can see the program automatically add it in the beginning. Finally, the message "loader MyChartTag" shows that it loads my tag class successfully.

How do I copy the string portion of an enum into the string portion of a cluster?
I want to do this for the an entire array of clusters. I'm trying to use a for loop. Can't figure out how to parse the string portion of the enum into the string portion of the cluster.
Alternatively, I'd be happy if I could figure out some way to tie the enum to the array of clusters, but I figure that gets problematic.

OK, let's say that the enumerated type has N elements. I want to initialize an N element array of strings. How do I reference each string in the enumerated type to get to each string?
Easy way to do this is to use GetNumericInfo.vi, part of the Variant library, found in vi.lib\utility\VariantDataType\GetNumericInfo.vi. Wire your enumeration to the Variant input; one of the outputs is an array of the strings in the enumerated type.
The more complicated way is a for loop, in which you typecast the iterator terminal value to the enumerated type, then use Format Value. You can get the maximum value of the enumeration by casting 0 to the enumerated type, then decrementing; cast that back to a numeric and add one to get the right value to wire to the N terminal.
EDIT: just thought I'd add, since RavensFan's reply popped up while I was writing mine - I don't like the Strings[] approach because it doesn't work on RT targets, and I lost a lot of time once due to this trying to figure out why my code wouldn't run properly on an RT system but worked great on my development computer. -
I am trying to open a PSD doc in Photoshop CS3 and I am getting an error: problem parsing the path data. Is there any way around this?
Is the icon really an alias? Aliases have a hard-to-see arrow in the lower left corner. If you click once on the icon and do a Get Info, you'll be told if it's an alias, and if so, where the original is, or once was if the original is gone.
Following Ramon and Buko's advice, I got rid of Norton products and several minor irritations at the same time.
