Problem about reading sms
Using PCSUITE i can store my sms (of my mobile) on my computer.
But they arent in a text format.
Is it possible to convert each sms file in a format which can be read by Word o Blocnotes?
I mean, id like to read my sms without always using PCSUITE.

in order to view notes larger than 4k, you have to seperate them and then put them in the notes folder. there is not a way to keep them together and view them. as far as software that automatically splits it up, i couldn't find any but there probably is some out there somewhere.

A problem about reading from serial port
Hi,
I just sent '0x03' from MCU to PC continuously, and then sent '/n' as a stop character after every '0x03'. I use labview to read the data. The problem is when it get two '03' it get a '0', another two '03' and another a '0'. I don't know where is the '0' from?
PS: Hyper terminal can display natrually.

serial read.vi 36 KBI think the problem may be the loop reading the serial port is running too fast. There is no timing delay in the loop, so you are reading it as fast as you can, and probably faster than the device is sending data. So sometimes the buffer is empty, and then the empty string gets converted to a numeric zero. The way to know for sure is to put an indicator on the error wire coming out of the serial port read. I bet you will see errors about the read buffer being empty.
Put a wait timer in the loop to slow down the execution just slightly. This is a good idea so that LV doesn't eat up all the CPU resources. Look at the example for Basic Serial Write and Read. You may want to have a loop ahead of the read that waits until there are a certain number of bytes at the port before it reads the serial port. You may want to put a loop around the serial port that waits until a valid number is read in before it exits the loop and goes to the numeric conversion.

Problems about reading Japanese and writing Chinese
Hi all experts,
Now I have a encoding problem.
My task is, read some Japanese in a text-based file, and then replace that Japanese with a Chinese string.
That means, the program must be able to understand both the Japanese encoding and the Chinese encoidng. But the dilemma is that, in the OS I am using (Windows), you can only have one locale at a time. If you set your OS locale to Chinese, the program is able to write Chinese, but it cannot properly detect the Japanese. On the othe hand, if you set your OS locale to Japanese, the program is able to detect Japanese, but it cannot properly write Chinese.
So can any one help me get around this problem (for instance, there is some special API dealing with encodings and so on)?

The New IO (NIO) classes have these and additional capabilities, including converting from one encoding to another using code like this:

i want to read longer notes with my ipod. Are there any methods so that i can still read .txt files for more then 100k without cutting them into pieces?

Question about reading hex data
Hello! I am a Labview Novice and having a problem about reading hex data.
Basically I am having bytes from the serial port like this: "80100E0E0AB4F646F24A00911267087E032080057FFF "
It is not encoded in ASCII. What I want to do is to convert the hex to an ASCII hex string.
so that the string would become hex numbers in ASCII.
I think the following might be a solution, but I have no idea what the subvi is in the solution.

HELP! pc suite/ovi suite won't read sms on my 5800...
Hi all! I have a VERY BIG problem. I own a 5800, I have about 3000 sms on the memory card. I want to move them on my PC, so i can delete from my nokia. PROBLEM IS: neither pcsuite nor ovi suite (even 2.0) can access my sms. both software fail. here's what happens.
pc suite: i run nokia communication centre, then it starts checking messages on my cell. after few seconds, it says there are about 2500 messages, at this point i see the bargoing from 0 to 70% real fast, then when it reaches 100% it says there are only about 50 messages on my phone (basically, it only lists the MMS, totally ignores sms)
ovi suite: the first time i used it, i synced messages with my cell, and it only synced about 2200-2300 of them out of 3000. since then, every time i try to sync messages with it, it says that for some reason it cant' read the data from my phone OR that the usb connection doesn't work (i tried with bluetooth, also, and i get the same error, so its not the connection).
in other words... i can read the sms fine on my 5800, it says there are over 3000, but when i try to access them with a pc software, it doesn't work for some reason.
HERE'S WHAT I THINK MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED. some time ago, using pc suite, i did a restore of a backup. during the restore, i got an error while it was restoring the sms. at that time, i didnt pay too much attention, since i noticed all the sms on my phone were ok, none was missing. but what I THINK happened is that since then the sms structure on my 5800 is screwed... and for some reason, my phone can read them fine, but pc softwares dont.
now my question is: WHAT TO DO? i dont want to lose all my sms... i NEED to copy them on my pc... then i can even format/reset my memory card, but i need to copy them first. any help? anything i could try? please help... thank you!first of all, thank you for your reply!
no, very few of those 3000 sms are from operator/config messages and such... maybe 10 or 20...
i tried nokia pc photos some weeks ago... and it worked, infact i can still see the sms/photos saved on my pc from that day. if i try it now, tho, i get the same errors i get with pcsuite/ovi suite... sync fails and basically does nothing, doesnt update any new sms (last one appears to be of the end of april, which is the last time i had used nokia photo).
this seems to confirm my fear... for some reason, probably after that messed up restore i did, something in the sms structure on the memory card got messed, and now no software can read them properly, even the cell backup program. but for some reason, my nokia can read them fine, if i simply access the messages.
question now is... does nokia have a tool to fix cases like this? i find it ironic that my cell can see all the sms but none of the nokia programs can actually access them. thank you very much! -

Problem with sending sms - nokia x3
Hello,
I've got a problem with sending sms in my nokia x3 - actually with recently used number. I sent messages, but the list is the same. There is only one number although I used many more. I removed this number from the list, but is still here. I also tried to turn off the phone and pull out the battery, restart factory setting but there's no change.
Could somebody help me, please?
p.s. Sorry, but my english isn't well. I hope the post is understoodCheck if there is any relation with the LOG... When you clear the log.. (selecting ALL).. is it removing details from the RECENTLY USED too...
To confirm this select Clear Log.. and check if that one no. you are talking about still remains or not.. If its no more there means you must have cleared the log just before using the last no. that is appearing..

Hi, experts, I get a problem about sales order stock stock transfer and batch determination.The following is the current situation of my system:
In OMCG I assigned search procedure ME0001 to both 311 and 311 E and ticked check batch. After that, I found that if iI need to tranfer unrestricted-use material from storage location 1000 to 2000 with movement type 311, I just need to input * at the field batch, then the system will display all of the available batches. But for the transferring of sales order stock with movement type 311 E, after I input * at the batch field, no batch is displayed and there is also no message from the system.
Can anybody help me? Is there anything else I need to do? Thanks very much.I think my question is not clear, actually I tried 562 E , 411 E and 413 already. all the transaction looking for the sales order but unfortunatly the sales order is deleted from SAP.

I have the problem with my iPhone and my friends have this problem too.
My iPhone have the problem about calling and answer the call. When I use my iPhone to call I can't hear anything from my iPhone but the person that I call can answer it but when answer both of us can't hear anything and when I put my iPhone to my face the screen is still on and when I quit the phone application and open it again it will automatic call my recent call. And when my friends call me my iPhone didn't show anything even the missed call I'm only know that I missed the call from messages from carrier. Please check these problem I restored my iPhone for 4 time now in this week. I lived in Hatyai, Songkhla,Thailand and many people in my city have this problem.

The solution is to restart, reset, and restore as new which is in the manual after that get it replaced for hard ware failure. if your within your one year warranty its replaced if it is out of the warranty then it is 199$

To answer your question, your computer checks all downloaded updates before installing them. It does this to make sure it's got the entire file and that the update will install correctly. The fact that validation fails on your machine probably means the file did not download correctly.
To install 10.5.3, simply go to this website, download the "10.5.3 combo update" and then run it on your Mac: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/ -
