Error in PDF export / 'crdb_p2sifmx.dll Error

Hello Network,
i got a problem while i try to export a document to pdf.
Nearly all documents are okay, but one type doesn't work. I get an error that the DLL crdb_p2sifmx.dll' doesn't able to load.
How can i fix this problem.
I have VS2008 with Reports in CR 8.5. I open them, set the selection formular and export it to pdf.
Thanx for ideas.

That means i only had to update to IX Developer. Install it on my machine and i can do this ?
To make it clearer:
I have many Reports which is designed in Vers. 8.5
If I open the report in CR 11.5 I have to logon to the Database. This step i need to do by Code.
So if i can logon i think the other things will also work.
The Reports, which didn't ask for a database logon, work. So this is the only difference.
I need no Connection for my work i have to do, because i only use the Saved Data in the report.
So a few questions :
1. Can i do a logon automatically ?
2. Can I clear the Database Connection to use only the Saved Data with Code ?
I'm happy about any answer

  • Images scrambled and error on PDF export since upgrade to 2014.1 / 10.1.0.71 build

I am using a mac and just upgraded to the 2014.1 / 10.1.0.71 build.  I was working on a file and installed the upgrade (I know I shouldn't have done that while in the middle of a project.  Brain lapse), but as soon as I opened the file the images are scrambled when viewed on "high quality display".  If I view them on "typical display" they show up fine.  But now when I try to export as a PDF it throws an error and will not export.   The only solution I found was to reopen each image and save them out again as a new .psd, pdf files.  Then it seems to export properly.  If I try to import the previous files it says there is not an import filter for that file type.  Any ideas what could be causing this?

    Hello,
it turned out to be an application problem that somehow only manifested itself since the upgrade.
The problem was that we performed an update to the DB in the Corba object's deactivate method. The object had the method activation policy, and the update was a left-over from way back when the object was stateful.
There was a race between the last update (xaostart/xaoend cycle) in the first Tuxedo server and the commit (xaoprepare) in the second Tuxedo server.
The fix is to move the update out of the deactivate method and add it at the end of the service method(s). Alternatively we could have switched to transactional object activation, but since there is only one invocation to the object, that did not make sense.

  • 2nd attempt pdf export:  I.O. error - in use by another process.

I am using vb.net 2008 with the bundled crystal reports.
I open a report in a CR viewer and have a button to export the rept to pdf and then email it. (using the DiskFileDestinationOptions() and rpt.exportoptions)    All works fine.  However, if user presses the button to do the email again (same rpt is still in viewer), I get the error:
system.IO.IO. exception.  The process cannot access the file (myfile.pdf ) because it is being used by another process.
I found a post that said to close the report and the DiskFileDestinationOptions after the export but that does not solve the problem.  I think it relates to the email with the pdf as an attachment.
The only way to solve this so far is to exit the viewer and create the report again.
What can I do to leave the viewer open and email more than once.

As an FYI for anyone that may find this thread while searching for export to mapi. I am copying a link to a blog that has the code for export to mapi:

  • WebReporting dll error on Crystal Reports

We have been using Crystal Reports 9 along with the Crystal Enterprise (Report Application Server)with ePortfolio Lite as the general user interface for the last 5 years. We have had no problems until a couple of days ago when the latest Microsoft critical update installed on the server where this program is located has corrupted the software, so that the Enterprise part no longer works. I have tried to repair it, but when opening the pre-written reports we get an error message as below:
    webReporting.dll error '80004005'
Access denied. Please check directory setting for files you can access.
    /rassamples/en/asp/rPortfolio/HTMLViewers/pageViewer.asp, line 24
    Can anyone help?

    Hi Thomas
    First the info re.;
I have read elsewhere that in order to run a Crystal Report on WS 2012 that it needs to be created using Crystal Reports for Visual Studio.
is incorrect. CRVS will run all reports down to CR 9 without issues. And even reports created in older versions will, for the most part, work just fine.
The error is rather strange as it normally indicates that an incorrect runtime has been installed. However in your case as you are using CR 13.0.8.1216 and  the 64bit_13_0_8.msi that does not look to be the case. I would like you to double check the CR references in the project. Say, crystaldecisions.crystalreports.engine. It should be version 13.0.2000.0.
If that is confirmed, then we may be at the permissions mentioned in the error. And I'd use Process Monitor for that. Filter ProcMon for the app exe and run the app. Look at the logs for "Access denied" messages. In the log, look for CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine, see what the exe is doing with it. Where is it trying to load it from? Etc., etc.

  • Java.dll error

    Hi Everyone
I've installed Java 2 SDE 1.4.0_01 on Win 98. I'm having no problems compiling and running applets. However when using the Command line Interface (DOS) there is serious problem.
javac HelloWorld.java seems to compile ok. But,
java HelloWorld throws up the following messages :
Error opening registry key 'Software\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment
    Error: could not find java.dll
Error: could not find Java 2 Runtime Environment
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Ciao,
    PK

Somehow the Registry has bad entries in it - due to a prior installation of Java, or more likely, an application that installed Java.
If there's an existing Java installation in the machine, remove it and try the install again. If there isn't an existing installation or the problem still exists, you'll need to repair the Registry using Regedit program.

  • SSRS PDF Export. There was an error opening this document. This file is damaged and could not be repaired

    Hello,
I just experienced this problem, and was able to successfully mitigate.  I wanted to share my experience and Solution.
The problem started with the following error after succesfully exporting a PDF Document.  "There was an error opening this document. This file is damaged and could not be repaired."
This is only applicable if you can still export and open SSRS Reports to other formats. Go to the Log files of the SQL Instance. In my particular case I used the Default MSSQL instance:   C:\ Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting
    Services\LogFiles
The Folder will begin with MSRS (SRS is for SQL Reporting Services)
Sort the files by date modified and check for the most recent log file: ex.  SQLDmpr0000.log  The 0000 will be the incremental amount of errors you have experienced in SRS. Check for the following error:
"System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'T2Embed': Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))"
Below is a sample from the log.

If you notice the error states that T2Embed.dll access is denied. In my case this due to a hotfix installed by Microsoft:
MS11-087: Vulnerability in Windows kernel-mode drivers could allow remote code execution: December 13, 2011
Be advised, in order to fix your problem and render pdf's, a vulnerability shall be created.
To fix this issue and allow the export to PDF work correctly, you must give the system Read/Execute Permissions, and Built-in\Administrators Full Control.
Go to Windows\System32 and find the T2Embed.dll Go to Security and modify the permissions as listed above. Do the same to the T2Embed.dll in the SysWow64 folder.
Restart Reporting Services and you will be able to export to PDF.
    Best Wishes!

I'm not convinced this is the exact cause of the issue.  I will check my log files to see if I find anything like what you described.  However, I get this error when a particular user tries to do a "print preview" from a custom button.  The
code builds a ReportViewer object, sets the ReportPath, etc.
The reason I'm not convinced is because we have a separate reports page that has the report viewer embedded into it.  If the user generates the report that way and exports to PDF, Word, etc...the user can generate the file and be on their way.  As
soon as the user clicks our "Print" button on the page without the ReportViewer embedded, the above mentioned error occurs.
UPDATE: Perhaps we have a different problem since my issue is from a custom button.  I found the solution
here and confirmed the solution with the customer.  It had to do with the code using Response.Flush() instead of Response.End().
One thing I noticed before I implemented the change: When you would close the PDF, it would ask you to save changes to the PDF.  After implementing Response.End() instead, that prompt went away.  No doubt it has to do with the differences between
how Response.Flush() and Response.End() handle the stream returned.
Anyway, posting in case someone has the same issue.

  • Error 541 when exporting to PDF

    Post Author: BCLin
    CA Forum: Other
Hi,Our application is using Crystal Report VCL (version 9) component for exporting reports.I have a customer reported that he got an error message "Not enough memory for operation" when exporting the report to PDF. I opened the .rpt file sent in by the customer in XI, and tried to export the report in XI to PDF, failed due to "memory full". By deleting something in the report header and reset the database location, it now can be exported within XI, but it is still failed to be exported to PDF through my application, the error message is changed to "Error: 541 Error detected by export DLL...", but it is no problem to export other .rpt files through my application.  It seems there are differences between those .rpt files cause above problems, but what are they? Can somebody here tell me what do I need to check to find out the differences? Thanks in advance.

  • Error DLL crdb_p2sifmx.dll

Ok I saw someone else had asked this about a month ago, but I need more info from him.
We have VS2005 developers addition. with CR for 2005 included. I built CR for Informix database.
All works well until I try to deploy the package. I get the error.   DLL crdb_p2sifmx.dll' isn't able to load.
The other person was given the answer that the basic version doesn't have it but the developer version does. But this answer does not settle my questions. Don't we have a developers version of CR in the VS developers edition???
Also we had a Heck of a time getting the download merge modules for crystal.. They weren't in the package, and almost all links went to downed web pages.  We finally did find it, We created our deployment package with it and we installed it out to the server with the CR Merge module in it.. But could this be where we ended up with a basic version as this is what would setup the CR dlls on the server?
Does VS developer edition give us entitlement to the dlls for a developer CR?  If so how on earth do we get to them to download them.  If not, what do we need to purchase to get the correct dlls, yet still have it compatable with VS 2005?

    Hi Wenda,
    Here's why....
CR .NET is a basic version of Crystal Report Developer. It has a limited set of API's that are included in .NET 2005 which is version 10.2.x.x. We don't charge because it gets CR out there and we've partnered with Microsoft since CR version 4.5, if you want more functionality in code then you must upgrade to Cr Developer which is where it works for us. .Net is like an introduction into CR programming, works for simple report viewing but if extended functionality or supported platforms and database driver and Exporting is required you must upgrade.
Next issue, because the native Informix driver is not shipped with .NET it's therefore not officially supported in your application. To be "Licensed you must purchase CR Developer and then you have the rights to use the native driver. It will be deployed within our MSI and Merge Modules. Therefore if you have issues with the driver you purchsed you must ask them for support. The other issue is we do version checking. I'm not sure what versions of Cr you have installed and there are various reasons why it works on your DEV PC but not when deployed, but we do Version checking on 99.9 % of our dll's so it's not clear why this works for you on your DEV PC.
In all versions of Crystal Reports we ship DataDirects ODBC driver or in current version we provide a link to download them for free. They also check if accessing is done through CR so they will not work outside of one of our Report engines and will pop up a licensing message if tried.
You can download then from this [link|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100008666562008E/cr_datadirect53_win32.zip]
    Solutions:
1.What you need to do to stay legal is return the dll to dll4you. It's the wrong version anyways, I believe it's version 9 and you need version 10. ( which is why it's unclear why it works on your DEV PC )
    2. Purchase/Upgrade to Crystal Reports Developer XI R2 or CR 2008 ( if not done so already ) then you have the rights to distribute the native informix driver which should be included with the Merge Modules or MSI
    3. Download the DataDirect ODBC drivers and convert all your reports to ODBC. May be upgrade issues, ODBC and native SQL may change the way the reprots work due to the native of ODBC.
    Thank you for your understanding
    Don

  • Error occurred during exporting ssrs report as pdf

an error occurred during local report processing. Object reference not set to an instance of an object
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Esha2nk,
According to your description, when you export the report to PDF in BIDS, the error “Export error: An error occurred during local report processing. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.” is thrown out.
Based on the error message, it could cause by that there are hidden groups within the report, or the matrix has multiple columns and rows, and Hidden is set to true in the Visibility properties. So in your scenario, please check those two factors. If
issue persists, please provide report design for our analysis. Besides, would you please tell us which SQL Server version you are using?
