Error in Radio Button Component

Hi,
I wrote my problem in a past thread, but I haven't a final answer. I test my model to verify that "Centigon Input Manager" was not the problem and it is not.
I has another problem with a List Box Selector that I solved deleting their Dynamic Visibility from the List Box Component and put in a Canvas and putting the List Box without DV inside this Canvas. I did the same with the radio buttons and didn't work.I has one Panel with DV with three Canvas inside it and each one of Canvas with their own DV. Inside each Canvas I has one radio button component without Dynamic Visibility to be showed when I click a only push button. With a formula I define which of my 3 Canvas and their Radio buttons appear. Two of them was showed but one don't show anything, but the empty panel.
I put the Radio buttons directly over the Panel and put the DV to each Radio button and delete the Canvas, now show me the same 2 radio buttons and the only one radio button that didn't show now just show the left border and half of top border of component. This must be a component error.
Note 1: It's the same formula, the same features of each Canvas with their own DV. The Canvas panel is show when I click the push button but don't show one of my 3 options.
Note 2: I have Xcelsius 5.3.1.0 and Build 12.3.1.776
Any support from SAP or anybody that has the same problem? My client is waiting and I am delayed for product problems.
JR

Are you using the reference of the base
component to access the variable that you have defined in the base component.....
If the component where you have decalred the variables is your application class of the application then you can use
Application.application.advanceSelectionCPanel

  • Using the radio button component to go to a frame on a MovieClip

    hello,
    I am using the radio button component in Flash with a continue button.
    When the user clicks their option in the radio button and then clicks continue, I want it to go to a movieClips Specific frame.
    Here is the breakdown and the script I have so far is below.
    The radio group os named RadioButtonGroup
    The instance names for each of the three options are noviceButton,intermediateButton,expertButton
    My continue button has an instance name of continueButton
    and my movie clip I am trying to target has an instance name of level_mc
    here is my code so far:
    continueButton.enabled=false
    noviceButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, revealContinue);
    intermediateButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, revealContinue);
    expertButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, revealContinue);
    function revealContinue(evt){
        continueButton.enabled=true;
    continueButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickContinue);
    function clickContinue(evt){
    var frameNumber=mc_levels.Number(noviceButton.group.selectedData)
    gotoAndStop (frameNumber);
    the problem starts with my varFrame line-I don't know how to get it to go to the movieClip and gotoAndStop at a specific frame, based on which radio button was clicked and after the continue button is clicked.
    Does anyone out there have any ideas?
    thanks
    babs

    use:
    continueButton.enabled=false
    noviceButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, revealContinue);
    intermediateButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, revealContinue);
    expertButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, revealContinue);
    function revealContinue(evt){
        continueButton.enabled=true;
    continueButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickContinue);
    function clickContinue(evt){
    var frameNumber=mc_levels.Number(noviceButton.group.selectedData)
    level_mc.gotoAndStop (frameNumber);

  • Changing The Text Color In a Radio Button Component

    Hi,
    I'm using a background in my frame , so I need to know how
    to change the color of the Radio Button Component. I tried using
    the Property Inspector , but in that the color option is disabled.
    The Flash version I'm using is Flash 8. Kindly provide me a
    solution for this.
    Thanks In Advance,
    Lokesh R

    There's a topic about this in the Flash help, about changing
    components. You need to edit the file inside your Flash
    installation folder, and make a copy of it to your liking.
    But about radio buttons: is there any way to include them in
    your project while maintaining the possibility of on(Keypress)
    events?

  • Multiline checkbox / radio button component

    We're now up to Flash version 8 and we still don't have a
    multiline checkbox / radio button component. Has anyone either:
    a. Figured out how to add a multiline text label to the
    existing Flash components; or
    b. Found a third party component that has multiline labels.
    I'm a developer for an eLearning company, so we use these
    components all the time; so having this would be a huge plus.
    Frankly, it's simply beyond me why Macromedia...er...Adobe hasn't
    upgraded their components to have this feature. It seems like it
    wouldn't be a big thing.
    Anyway, any help you can provide would be most welcome.
    Cheers,
    Adam

    Hopefully this might help.

  • Multiline labels in the radio button component

    How can I have multiline labels on my radio button
    components? I can't seem to find good documentation anywhere on how
    to do this. This is the best that I have found:
    http://board.flashkit.com/board/archive/index.php/t-299514.html
    but the process doesn't work for me with Flash CS3.
    Thanks,
    nixxxxx

    Unfortunately seems like you cant do that with radio component. You may just create a textField and place it next to the radio component as a workaround, or, use AS3 which is much easier.

  • Custom renderer for radio buttons?

    I want to change how radio buttons are rendered (so they aren't all rendered alone in their own table). What would be the best way to do this?
    One way would be to create a custom component, tag handler, and renderer (and register them all in faces-config.xml).
    But what about using the existing JSF components and just writing my own renderer. Could that work? Would just need to write a renderer and configure faces-config.xml to use the appropriate component-family (for the existing JSF radio button component) and renderer-type (for the existing component tag class for the radio button).like this:
    <render-kit>
    <renderer>
    <component-family>javax.faces.SelectOne</component-family>
    <renderer-type>javax.faces.Radio</renderer-type>
    <renderer-class>my.custom.renderer</renderer-class>
    </renderer>
    </render-kit>
    Could this work?
    Thanks.

    Could this work?Yes. Why do you doubt it?

  • Facing Problem in Configuring Radio buttons

    Hi,
    I have a requirement as follows:
    There are two  fields:
    A1 - Input field
    R1 - Radio button field
    Now I need to display the fields as mentioned below,  in ONE ROW of left Panel
    I to J                   K to M                          N to P
    A1.label            A1.field value             R1 (2 radio buttons with no label)
    When I am trying to do this, I am getting an error for Radio button field, saying:
    Element must cover the entire panel
    Error in property value
    Could you please help me out to solve my issue..
    Thanks for the needful..
    Sandeep

    Hi Dharma,
    My Problem is solved..
    Well the weird part is, when I click on Apply button, it has shown the errors as mentioned above. I thought, it won't allow me to save the configuration.  However as soon as click on SAVE button, all the config changes have been updated successfully.
    I am not sure, why SAP is showing those errors, when we are able to save the config successfully....
    Thanks for your reply...
    Cheers

  • Slow response time for radio buttons on Internet Explorer 7

    Hi,
    We're using ADF 11.1.1.4 on weblogic 10.3.4 on a Solaris 10 (sparc) platform. The architecture also uses OHS and Webcache 11.1.1.4.
    One of our applications has a webpage that is composed of several tabs, inside each tab we have some questions with radio buttons. When a client responds all questions on the first tab it moves to the second, where the application loads the necessary questions, based on the answers provided on the first tab. Once the client finishes answering this tab it moves to the third one and so on.
    The problem appears once the tabs are loaded. Each time the client clicks one of the radio buttons, Internet Explorer takes between 3 to 5 seconds to return control, and considering that a client might need to click dozens of radio buttons to complete a process, it becomes a very exhausting task. It's worth noting that the session information is persisted for each radio button, when we move between tabs all answers are kept even if we didn't saved the progress.
    On the other side, if we use Google Chrome 16, we find that the webpage returns control to the user almost inmediately, when clicking the radio buttons the response time is usually at 1 second or less.
    We've checked that the app server is not stressed, heap memory is nowhere near the maximum assigned and the used processor % is very low, so it does not seems to be a resource problem.
    Is there any known issue with ADF 11.1.1.4 and IE7/8 that affects the browser's response time? Are there any guidelines or recommendations regarding how to make the radio button component work properly? Has anybody noticed this behavior in adf?
    Thanks.

    I think that the most accurate description of the problem is that the autosubmit action of the radio button takes considerably longer in IE7 than in Chrome.

  • Changing text size of radio button label

    Is it possible to change the size of the text of the label of
    a radio button component? I'm trying to create a questionnaire for
    youngsters and need much larger text...
    I know I could have no label and a text area but the text
    area would not be "clickable" whereas the label is.
    Thanks.

    Actionscript 3:
    var _textFormat:TextFormat = new TextFormat();
    _textFormat.font = "Arial";
    _textFormat.size = 15;
    myRadioButton.setStyle("textFormat",_textFormat);
    Actionscript 2:
    myRadioButton.setStyle("fontSize",15);

  • Erratic radio button components

    I think I posted this in the wrong forum earlier.
    In Flash 8, I have 7 instances of a radio button component on
    my stage. In the Radio Button Assets, I had previously replaced the
    icons for the RadioTrueUp and RadioFalseUp states. (I deleted the
    other states thinking I only need "up" and "down" for my Radio
    project.) Now when I test the movie, I click on any radio button
    and it rapidly turns itself on and off as long as the cursor hovers
    over it, and returns to the up state thereafter, having failed to
    affect any other radio buttons on the stage. Except that every so
    often, one WILL work right just once. (staying down while popping
    the current down button up, mean.) Then many button clicks later,
    one of the others will work. I cant figure this out!
    Since I only changed the icons, I don't understand why they
    don't work just as they did in "stock" form.
    Any ideas here?

    You need to keep ALL of the icons that are there.
    The rapid on and off that you are experiencing is the radio
    button attempting to switch to the "over" state when you roll over
    it. Since there is no over state icon, nothing appears, and the
    component registers a roll out, bringing the "up" state back into
    visibility. Then the whole thing loops again.
    If you want the different icons to look the same, you need to
    change them all to look the same.

  • Partially rendered radio button components

    I've been using the radio button component for the first time
    - it works a treat! However, when they are initially rendered on
    screen the labels are slightly cropped from the right and below
    (this is with the label to the right of the button). The button
    itself is also displaced upwards slightly. When the mouse runs over
    the button it immediately renders correctly.
    In every other respect the buttons function correctly. Any
    ideas?
    Bob

    No, I don't know any tutorials.   I do not try to create components... just objects that perform like them to the degree I need them to.  I pretty much just design the radio itself as a movieclip that has the different states in different frames (unselected, selected, disabled) and create actionscript to manage moving around within it as well as parent level code to manage groups of them such that selecting one deselects others and stuff.

  • Legacy Problem - old Radio Buttons (AS1)

    A few years ago I built a Flash learning application that
    used the UI Radio Button component. I have just been asked to make

    Now I am using Flash Pro CS3, and when I output the edited

    Can anyone provide a simple conversion method, or a way to

  • Error in Process execution with Radio Button List

    Hello All,
    In HCM Processes & Forms, we have a scenario of employee rating. To accomodate the same in the Interactive form have used 'ISR_RadioButtonList' that have corresponding binding with Form scenario fields.Upon selecting the corresponding radio button, we were able to retain the values and send it across the approval levels as defined in the workflow. These fields were to be used as place holders for the 'Radio Buttons' to retain the values(when sent from one approver to another as defined in the workflow) and not to save in the back end.
    The form was working fine all the time and since we have upgraded to SP20 the form is giving error as "The Entered Value Is Not on the List of Valid Values."

    Thanks for your answer.
    It's what I had done but I had saved the ID in a private member of the class and there is <b>two</b> different objects involved : one to render the component ("buildContent()" method) and one to manage the Event produced !
    Now, I put the ID in a static field.

  • Error message on unclicked Radio Button

    Hello all, I was wondering how I can generate a unique error message on a required radio button on my form. I have designated the radio button as required already, but instead of the generic "missing fields" error message I would like it to generate a specific one saying "Form Must Be Reviewed with Supervisor Prior to Submission" in addition to the one that pops up when other required fields are not filled.

    One way to do it is to use 2 submit buttons.
    You want to hide the real submit button and use a "fake" submit button (just a regular button) to check the value of the field. If the field is ok then you click the real submit button programmatically.
    On the Click event of the fake submit button (JavaScript):
    if (RadioButtonList.rawValue == "") {
         xfa.host.messageBox("Form Must Be Reviewed with Supervisor Prior to Submission");
    else {
         EmailSubmitButton1.execEvent("click");
    Hope that helps!
