Error in serialization

Hello,
I am using 9.0.2.0.0 production version of the parser. When I try seralize a xml and deseralize the xml , I am getting the error.
"java.io.IOException: Error in serialization"
DOMParser parser = new DOMParser();
FileInputStream in = new FileInputStream("Test.xml");
parser.parse(in);
Document doc = parser.getDocument();
Node rootNode = doc.getFirstChild();
ObjectOutputStream oos = new ObjectOutputStream(new FileOutputStream("T.obj"));
oos.writeObject(rootNode);
oos.flush();
oos.close();
ObjectInputStream ois = new ObjectInputStream(new FileInputStream("T.obj"));
rootNode = (Node)ois.readObject();
ois.close();
But the same program works when i add these statments before serliazing
Node node = rootNode.getFirstChild();
rootNode.removeChild(node);
rootNode.appendChild(node);
The Code which works
DOMParser parser = new DOMParser();
FileInputStream in = new FileInputStream("Test.xml");
parser.parse(in);
Document doc = parser.getDocument();
Node rootNode = doc.getFirstChild();
Node node = rootNode.getFirstChild();
rootNode.removeChild(node);
rootNode.appendChild(node);
ObjectOutputStream oos = new ObjectOutputStream(new FileOutputStream("T.obj"));
oos.writeObject(rootNode);
oos.flush();
oos.close();
ObjectInputStream ois = new ObjectInputStream(new FileInputStream("T.obj"));
rootNode = (Node)ois.readObject();
ois.close();
Please let me know is there any bug in the XML Parser or in the code
Thanks
Senthil

You shouldn't Serialize swing components - draw the sketches to images or save them as their own objects and read them back in to populate the JPanel.
The reason you are suddenly getting the Exception is because the JFileChooser is referenced within the JPanel while you are saving it - and that particular partof the JFileChooser is not Serializable.
As was said before, you shouldn't Serialize swing components (the API specifies that swing serialized objects may not be compatible with future releases).

    Hi there ,
    I am adding a field and getter and setter methods for that in a class .

    You will probably see the line like this in there with the element
    "checkMustUnderstands" having the xsi:type attribute...
    <checkMustUnderstands xsi:type="xsd:boolean">
    Try using a later version of Xerces such as 1.4 (my guess is you're using

    is being thrown in the BeanSerializer class 'coz it can't find the

  • Error in serialization when file name is dynamic

    Hello there,
    I am utilizing serialization functionality of Java to Save the work done using the application that I have developed. When the user goes to File -> Save, the application calls the following function:
    public void save()
    try{
    System.out.println("before FOS");
    FileOutputStream f_out = new FileOutputStream("*save.data*");
    System.out.println("after FOS");
    ObjectOutputStream out = new ObjectOutputStream (f_out);
    System.out.println("after OOS");
    out.writeObject(*myPanel*);
    //myPanel is an instance of JPanel which contains all the sketches done by the user.
    out.close();
    f_out.close();
    System.out.println("after writeObject");
    catch(Exception e)
    System.out.println("Exception in Save function");
    This particular code runs fine but the problem is that the name of the serialized file is hard coded which is, "save.data" as highlighted in bold in the above code.
    So I added the JFileChooser component to enable the user to type in the file name that he/she wants. The following is the amended code:
    public void save()
    JFileChooser chooserSave = new JFileChooser();
    chooserSave.setCurrentDirectory(new File ("."));
    returnVal2 = chooserSave.showSaveDialog(myPanel);
    File fileName = chooserSave.getSelectedFile();
    System.out.println("filename : " + fileName);
    if(returnVal2 == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION)
    try{
    System.out.println("before FOS");
    FileOutputStream f_out = new FileOutputStream(fileName);
    System.out.println("after FOS");
    ObjectOutputStream out = new ObjectOutputStream (f_out);
    System.out.println("after OOS");
    out.writeObject(myPanel);
    out.close();
    f_out.close();
    System.out.println("after writeObject");
    catch(Exception e)
    System.out.println("Exception in Save function");
    With the amended code however, the programs throws exception after bold line which means writeObject method could not be performed.
    Could anyone kindly advice what could be wrong? I have made almost all the possible amendments to the best of my knowledge but to no avail.
    Thank you very much.
    Note: This question has been posted earlier in java-forums.org @ http://www.java-forums.org/advanced-java/20147-serialization.html

    I guess SessionBean1 is not serializable perhaps because it doesn't implement Serializable, and the writeObject method in StandardSession is trying to write it to disk (trying to serialize it).
    Try changing SessionBean 1 to
    public class SessionBean1 implements Serializable{
    }

  • Serialization error while invoking a Java web service

    Hi,
    I've a requirement where I need to create a Java web service, which returns a collection (a set of records).
    The way I've created a web service is by having a Java Class, which internally calls a Pl/sql package returning Ref cursors and a bean Class, which wraps the method of the Java Class, to return the collection. I could create the web service successfully and could invoke the end point. The end point looks like this: http://localhost:8988/MyJavaWebService-New_JWS-context-root/MyWebService_finalSoapHttpPort
    The method exposed for the web service in my Java class is of type ArrayList, to fetch the collection element.
    After giving the input at the end point, while I say invoke, for the web service, I get the following error:
    <env:Envelope
    xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xmlns:ns0="http://mypkg/types/"
    xmlns:ns1="http://www.oracle.com/webservices/internal/literal">

    <env:Fault>

    <faultstring>Internal Server Error (serialization error: no serializer is registered for (class mypkg.EmpBean, null))</faultstring>
    </env:Fault>
    </env:Body>
    </env:Envelope>
    I've tried making my exposed method of type Vector as well and re-generated the web service. But still I face the same issue at invocation.
    Can anybody help me out and hint me on how I should proceed? I'm not sure if my approach is correct and so please correct me if I'm wrong.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Gayathri

  • XML Serialization Error- While testing BAPI turned Web service

    I have a requirement to create sales order in SAP R/3 from an e-commerce site. I went through many forums suggesting "exposing FMs into Web Service". I wrapped BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 and BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT into one FM and exposed as Web Service. I did a successful test-sequence.
    When I tested the web service without giving values I got a response asking for "Sold-to Party or Ship-To Party". While testing the Web service with some values, I got the below error -

    The e-commerce team tried to hit the Web service and got the below error-

    And one more things are
    I don't know the exact reason, but now the WSDL is working fine. No Idea, will it be consistent.
    No changes in import and export parameters of RFC and no change in code, even if the logic is changed it should not affect the output on SOAP UI but in my case it does.
    Wonder why all this happens, I cannot explain the exact reason technically because my RFC works fine every time, only issue is with SOAP UI.
    From SAP point of view FM is working fine, and input parameter of FM is optional, validations are done by the programming logic and it will capture the message and its details with respect to input data.
    I am not sure SOAP will work consistently and we are using ECC 5.0 most of the t-code not there like "SOAMANAGER" and all.
    Kindly help me on this

  • Web services with JDeveloper - serialization error

    Dear all,
    I have an issue with web services created with JDeveloper 10.1.3.2.0.
    Namely, this is what I do:
    1. I've created some TopLink classes from tables; one of this classes is called Task (and it's located in a package called "integration")
    2. I've created another class, called Integration, where I use these TopLink classes; in this new class I have a method called getTasksStatus, which returns an ArrayList containing Task objects
    3. I've created a web service from this class (Integration) by right-clicking on the class name in Applications Navigator and choosing Create J2EE Web Service.
    When I call the method getTasksStatus from the test web service (endpoint),
    I get this error:
    Oct 8, 2007 7:14:30 PM oracle.webservices.service
    SEVERE: serialization error: no serializer is registered for (class integration.Task, null) serialization error: no serializer is registered for (class integration.Task, null)
    When I call a method which returns a primitive type, everything is fine.
    I understand the problem, but I don't know a solution yet. Could you please help ?
    Thank you,
    Best regards,
    Sorin

    One solution to this problem is to make sure that the complex type you are using in yous service interface do implement the JAVA Bean as per the spec (at least Oracle's interpretation of it).
    You need to have getter/setter for all members and you need to have an empty ctor() to create new instances of your objects. In some cases, the design time let you get by, but the runtime fails in the code generation.
    In your case, the 'Task' class may have some issue.
    Hope it helps,

  • EDI Serialization error

    I'm getting an error when my msg hits the outgoing EDI assembler that really has me scratching my head. I drop a flat file that is mapped to an 835. The map seems to run well, but the msg gets suspended with the following error:
    "During serialization root node is not placed at start element"
    I though maybe the msg that was hitting the EDI outgoing pipeline was not the msg I intended, and maybe the flatfile msg was getting through, so I looked up the suspended msg and sure enough it is the XML. So, I copied the XML and created a file. I then
    changed my incoming pipeline to accept XML, dropped the file and the EDI 835 was created successfully.
    I've never seen this error before. Have any of you? Googling it just suggests that the msg may not correctly start with a proper "ST" segment, but again, it ran fine when I dropped the XML msg.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

    Hi ,
    You can use  XmlTransmit pipeline. Doing this gives you access to a pipeline
    PreserveBOM instance property that will strip the BOM from the message for you if you change it from its default setting of “True” to “False”:
    Or you can do something like this
    1)create a variable of type XMLdocument  =xmldoc;
    2)Store the message in xmldoc : xmldoc = message1;
    Pass the xmlodc to class library funtion
    if (xml.StartsWith(ByteOrderMarkUtf8))
        xml = xml.Remove(0,
    ByteOrderMarkUtf8.Length);
    Thanks

  • Serialization error when calling web service method

    Hi,
    In JDeveloper 10.1.3.1, I'm working on an EJB that will be deployed as a web service. There is a method in the EJB that is defined to return a generic Object, but in the implementation, it really returns one of several possible specialized bean objects. I can deploy the EJB successfully to IAS 10.1.3.1.
    I created a web service proxy from the wsdl that was generated from deploying the EJB. Using the proxy, I try to call the EJB method and cast the method's return value to the bean object I know should be returned. However, I get an error like this:
    java.rmi.ServerException:
    start fault message:
    Internal Server Error (serialization error: no serializer is registered for (class com.test.TestBean, null))
    :end fault message
    Does anyone know how this serialization error can be resolved? If I change the web service method signature to return the bean object that is actually being returned (instead of Object), then it works fine. But I want to be able to define the method to return a generic Object because I plan to make the method flexible enough to return several different types of bean objects. Whenever the client calls the method, it will know what is the actual object being returned and I had planned to cast the return value to its actual class.
    Thanks for any ideas.

    Well, I think so... I've followed all the steps, and my merged WSDL file seems like the one in page 12...
    Any suggestion, please?
    Thank you,

    This was resolved through a ticket. Error caused due to incompatible values or not skipping the relevant nodes. (Error raised due to poor documentation. The mandatory values specified were not required. on not passing the said mandatory values, the service works fine ).

    Thanks

    I guess, this is because the RI client is not finding the
    codec to ser/deser your Value Object. You need to register
    the codec in the type mapping registry before you invoke
    the web service method.
    Here is a sample:
    Service service = factory.createService( serviceName );
    TypeMappingRegistry registry = service.getTypeMappingRegistry();
    TypeMapping mapping = registry.getTypeMapping(
    SOAPConstants.URI_NS_SOAP_ENCODING );
    mapping.register( SOAPStruct.class,
    new QName( "http://soapinterop.org/xsd", "SOAPStruct" ),
    new SOAPStructCodec(),
    new SOAPStructCodec() );
    BTW, you can do the same exact thing on the client by using
    WLS impl of JAX-RPC. Is there a reason for using RI on the
    client side?

    Thanks for your information, Yes, my client is Sun's JAX-RPC based, but the Server

    It works fine without any problem. But when I invoke the webservice using WSDL,

  • Waht does this mean: faultstring Internal Server Error (serialization ....

    I expose stateless session EJB method as a web service, the method return a Collection. I put different type of objects in this collection.
    I run this web service got the follwing error:
    <faultcode>env:Server</faultcode>
    <faultstring>Internal Server Error (serialization error: no serializer is registered for (class project1.Class1, null))
    what does this error mean?
    the Class1 is a serializeable class. if all of objects in this collection are same, all are Class1 objects, I don't get error. actually, if i put same type of object, there is no error, if they are different object, I got this error.
    Thanks

    As I mentioned in my post, all of class such as Class1, Class2 are serializeable. there is no error if all of object in the Collection are same type. the error happen only if type in colloection are different
