Getting error in serialization in soap

Hi there ,
I am adding a field and getter and setter methods for that in a class .
public String effDate = null;
* getter and setter methods
public void setEffectiveDate(String s)
     this.effDate = s;
public String getEffectiveDate()
     return this.effDate;
This class is used for SOAP communication. When I add these methods I get an fault message in soap call . The message is :
[faultCode=SOAP-ENV:Client] [faultString=Unable to retrieve PropertyDescriptor for property 'effectiveDate' of class 'class com.arrow.rct.RCTData'.] [faultActorURI=/soap/servlet/rpcrouter] [DetailEntries=] [FaultEntries=]
what is property descriptor ? I am new to soap. Please help me !!!
Thanks

http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/webservices/library/ws-soapmap1/
You will probably see the line like this in there with the element
"checkMustUnderstands" having the xsi:type attribute...
<checkMustUnderstands xsi:type="xsd:boolean">
Try using a later version of Xerces such as 1.4 (my guess is you're using
1.2.* or 1.3.1) and see if the namespace problem gets resolved. Your error
is being thrown in the BeanSerializer class 'coz it can't find the
PropertyDescriptor for that element

  • *** Serialization in SOAP ***

    Hi,
    I m building a web service with Jdeveloper 9.0.3 . I m trying to pass org.w3c.dom.Document in the function argument but got the following error:
    No Serializer found to serialize a &apos;org.w3c.dom.DOMImplementation&apos; using encoding style &apos;http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/&apos;. [java.lang.IllegalArgumentException]
    Help,pls.
    Gary

    Ok, at the end of this e-mail see the stub that was generated from the Oracle9iAS side and a main method that calls your Web service - this should get you going. Before the code I will give you the steps I did:
    1. Make sure you delete the Web service you have deployed to OC4J before starting again (e.g. delete the directories <oc4j_home>\j2ee\home\application-deployments\gt-gt-WS, <oc4j_home>\j2ee\home\applications\gt-gt-WS, delete the file gt-gt-WS.ear from the <oc4j_home>\j2ee\home\applications\ directory and edit the file server.xml and remove the line: "<application name="gt-gt-WS" path="../applications/gt-gt-WS.ear" auto-start="true" />"
    2. Delete the stub/proxy you have generated from the JDeveloper WSDL
    3. Build your class as you did with a document parameter and return result
    4. Wrap it as a Web service using the JDev publishing wizard
    5. New step I missed previously: Before deploying to Oracle9iAS, right mouse click on the WebServices.deploy node and:
    * Select settings
    * Navigate to the classes node of the configuration tree
    * De-select the WSDL file
    * Exit from the configuration wizard by clicking on the OK button
    6. Deploy to Oracle9iAS by right mouse clicking on the Webservices.deploy node
    7. Go to the Web service endpoint (in your case: http://<your machine>:8888/gt-gt-context-root/XMLDocWS) in your browser. This can be found by editing the Web service node in JDeveloper and selecting "File Locations" and copying the URL in the field "Web service endpoint"
    8. From the endpoint page, copy the "Service Description" URL (i.e. the WSDL location) (e.g. CTRL-C). On mine, the URL is: http://<my machine>:8888/gt-gt-context-root/XMLDocWS?WSDL
    9. Go back to JDeveloper and in the project right mouse click on the project and select New->Web Service Stub/Skeleton.
    10. In the WSDL location, paste in the WSDL location you copied from the Web Service endpoint (http://<my machine>:8888/gt-gt-context-root/XMLDocWS?WSDL)
    11. Generate the new stub as normal.
    12. For a quick test copy in the main method I built below.
    From this point onwards your servlet you sent me should work.
    For others watching this thread, as this problem is generic, here is the service implementation:
    import org.w3c.dom.*;
    import oracle.xml.parser.v2.*;
    public class XMLDocWS
         public XMLDocWS()
         public Document query(org.w3c.dom.Document req)
    Document res = req;
              return res;
    Here is the stub that can be used to test it once you have published the above as a Web Service:
    import java.util.Vector;
    import java.net.URL;
    import java.util.Properties;
    import java.util.HashMap;
    import org.apache.soap.rpc.Call;
    import org.apache.soap.rpc.Parameter;

    import oracle.soap.encoding.soapenc.EncUtils;
    import org.w3c.dom.Document;
    import org.w3c.dom.Element;

  • Getting error  connection timed out while invoking webservice from bpel.

    Hi,
    I am trying to call a secure webservice developed in .Net having extension .svc from the bpel service and in response i am getting error
    com.oracle.bpel.client.BPELFault: faultName: {{http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension}remoteFault}
    messageType: {{http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension}RuntimeFaultMessage}
    parts: {{summary=<summary>exception on JaxRpc invoke: HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: Connection timed out: connect</summary>
    I am able to call this web service from the java programme using HTTPClient by setting the username/password and soapaction in http Header but not from the BPEL process. This .Net service is synchronous in nature. I also set the proxy in opmn.xml but didn't got any success.
    Please reply me ASAP. Need urgent help.
    Thanks.

    Are you working on 11g ? if this is 11g
    How are you invoking the webservice ...does it have any authentication..
    If the webservice which you are invoking has basic http authentication...
    1. In the composite.xml file, right click on the reference and configure WS policies. In security tab, add a security policy named"oracle/wss_http_token_client_policy"
    2. Add two binding properties for the reference
    (i) oracle.webservices.auth.username
    (ii) oracle.webservices.auth.password
    and provide the username and password for those two properties...
    Just try this out...
    Thanks,

  • Getting error while Startting a BPM process programmatically

    Hi Experts,
    I am getting an error while trying to start the BPM process programmatically. What i have done till now is
    1. Created a WS in process composer
    2. Binded this ws with start of the process
    3. Created input parameters
    4. Testing it in WS Navigator
    I am following this doc /people/arafat.farooqui/blog/2009/08/13/introduction-to-sap-netweaver-bpm-part-4
    and I am getting error while testing in WS Navigator. I am getting error at the last step i.e. in result step and the error is
    Web Service returned an error. Fault Code: "(http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/)Client" Fault String: "No operation found using soap keys [], [cn_comments]. InterfaceMapping Object class: com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.mappings.InterfaceMapping mappings: (BindingType=Soap, SEIName=NewWSDLFile, BindingQName=(http://www.example.org/NewWSDLFile/)NewWSDLFileSOAP, PortTypeQName=(http://www.example.org/NewWSDLFile/)NewWSDLFile, SoapVersion=SOAP11, Galaxy_SDO=true, InterfaceMappingID=45ffb27c:1237f972cd8:-7d7e)."
    If possible can any one help me out.
    Thanks and regards
    Pranav

    Hi Arafat,
    Thanks for replying. Yes i have completed the output mapping. Input parameters i need for this service are :
    1. cn_comments
    ca_comments
    2. cn_planningGroup
    ca_account
    ca_serialnumber
    and few more attributes
    Now, what i did was i have created a complex type and added elements in it. But to my surprise i was not able to get these nodes and elements in output mapping. So, i changed the type of "parameter" from "new operation" to my complex type. By doing this i was able to get my nodes and elements in output mapping. Now i tested the entire thing in WS Navigator and i got that error.
    Please suggest how o proceed.
    Regards
    Pranav

    This specifically means that the destinations have not been configured in the Crystal Job Server.  If you're running 4.x, this may be part of the "Adaptive Job Server" instead of or in addition to a Crystal Job Server.  If you're using 3.1 or earlier, you'll also have to set up the destination in the Destination Job Server.
    You'll have to log in to the CMC, go to Servers, right-click on the correct job server and go to "Destinations".  You'll then add something like "File" or "Unmanaged Disk" to the available destinations and save.  Stop the job server, start it again, and your error should go away.
    Please be aware that unless you're using specific credentials to schedule the report or you're saving to the server where BO is installed, you'll need to make sure that the BO services are running under a network "Services" account that has access to the folder you're scheduling the report to. By default during installation it's set to run under the "Local Services" account that doesn't have access to the network.

    Hi ,
    copy the same URL  (Endpoint that you had given while generating wsdl file) to the browser and chek the status. ( http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=party:service:channel)
    See the below URL for the same i.e. SOAP adapter...http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fc/5ad93f130f9215e10000000a155106/content.htm
    You should get response something like this '
    Message Servlet is in Status OK
    Status information:
    Servlet com.sap.aii.af.mp.soap.web.MessageServlet (Version $Id: //tc/aii/30_REL/src/_adapters/_soap/java/com/sap/aii/af/mp/soap/web/MessageServlet.java#15 $) bound to /MessageServlet
    Classname ModuleProcessor: null
    Lookupname for localModuleProcessorLookupName: localejbs/ModuleProcessorBean
    Lookupname for remoteModuleProcessorLookupName: null
    ModuleProcessorClass not instantiated
    ModuleProcessorLocal is Instance of com.sap.aii.af.mp.processor.ModuleProcessorLocalLocalObjectImpl0_0
    ModuleProcessorRemote not instantiated
    This  is make sure that webservice endpoint is given correctly. Don't forget to give username and password for connecting to XI server. user should xiappluser .

  • Mail-Adapter Integration Engine Error during parsing of SOAP header

    Hello,
    we use XI with the mail adapter. Most of the messages are processed correctly. But sometimes I get following errors in the J2EE-logviewer:
    Transmitting the message to endpoint http://<xi-host>:<http-port>/sap/xi/engine

    Has somebody else the same problem and solved it or any idea what the matter could be?
    Thanks for your help
    Christian

    Hi Reddy,
    We´ve got the following scenario:
    Exchange-Server (is always up)
    XI Mail-ReceiverAdapter
    I use IMAP4 to access the Outlook-Email-Box
    Everything works fine. But some Emails aren´t processed.
    I think it´s a problem between adapterframework and the integration engine?
    There is no difference between the emails?
    If you´ll need further informations ask me?
    Thanks

    cheers,
    Santosh

    Hi Santhosh
    1.Check your authorization settings in XI and R/3. Whether the user has sufficient rights to execute the Function Module etc. This is the most common reason for this error.
    2.If the XI system was brought online even before the R/3 system then re-activate the communication channels from the Integration directory.
    Cheers..

  • Error during parsing of SOAP header

    Hi all,
    I have configured the j-meter to send an http request to inegration engine of PI.
    The request xml that I am sending is as follows:
    <SOAP:Envelope xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <SOAP:Header>
    <SOAP:Main xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30"

    <Active_Deleted></Active_Deleted>
    </Record>
    </ns1:UnitOfMeasure>
    </SOAP:Body>
    </SOAP:Envelope>
    I am getting the following response from the XI:
    <SOAP:Envelope xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <SOAP:Header>
    </SOAP:Header>
    <SOAP:Body>
    <SOAP:Fault xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><faultcode>SOAP:Client</faultcode><faultstring>Error during parsing of SOAP header</faultstring><faultactor>http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30</faultactor><detail><SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1"><SAP:Category>XIProtocol</SAP:Category><SAP:Code area="PARSER"/><SAP:P1/><SAP:P2/><SAP:P3/><SAP:P4/><SAP:AdditionalText/><SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace=""/><SAP:Stack>System error in parser

    Any idea as to why PI is not able to parse the request header?
    Thanks,
    Amit

    Hi,
    Better to take WSDL from PI(ID window) and try.

  • XI SOAP adapter : Error during parsing the SOAP part

    Hello experts,
    We have several scenarios SOAP to IDocs.
    We are on XI 3.0 SP19, and since 9/6/09 around 4:00 PM GMT, our SOAP channels used to communicate with a specific 3rd party all stoped accepting incoming SOAP requests. All the messages are stucked on third party side, and we get the following error in the defaulttrace and application logs :
    #1.5#001125A5BCD00066000076850013109E00046BF6A963E479#1244607054865#/Applications/ExchangeInfrastructure/AdapterFramework/SAPLibraries/SAPXDK#sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.soapadapter#com.sap.aii.messaging.mo.Message.reparseRootDocument()#PIMSOAP#21217##pxaci_PXA_6443451#PIMSOAP#a71ebfa0556d11decc24001125a5bcd0#SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_50##0#0#Error#1#com.sap.aii.messaging.mo.Message#Plain###Error during parsing the SOAP part --- java.lang.NullPointerException#
    It happened at the same time on all the environments for every interfaces using SOAP message from this sender to XI. That's the reason why we think it is a global issue, but we can not find anything concerning this error. Has anybody encountered this error or would have any clue of where it comes from ?
    Many thanks,
    Best regards,
    Guislain

    Hello Michal,
    Thanks a lot for your help. Actualy we have tested with SOAP UI yesterday and this is what came out of the tests :
    test 1 : we tried to call the XI service with the wsdl and put dummy data inside --> test OK
    test 2 : we loaded in SOAP UI one of the file from our partner and tried to call the service --> test NOT OK
    test 3 : we realized that there were some blank lines at the beginning of the file provided by the partner. we removed these blank lines --> test OK.
    So we first thought that the format of the file sent by the partner was wrong and this is why we were getting the parsing error, because of these blank line. The thing is that these blank lines have always been here ! We have checked with old successful messages and they contain also these lines and if we test them in SOAP UI we get an error also. so it does not seems to come from this.
    Moreover, as I said in my previous message, it happened on all the environments approximatly at the same time, so we are suspecting a global problem, but which one ? That's the million dollar question
    Would you have any other ideas ?
    Thanks a lot,
    Best regards,
    Guislain

    We work with Microsoft Outlook, but I'm sure this could work with any email system.
    This error only came from external emails - what we did in the end is to get the third party to email a particular email (email1) in our company.  This is set up as a regular email account.  On this email put a forward rule to email2 for a particular sender/subject.  email2 is set up as POP3 so that XD1 can poll it - we also block any emails except from email1.
    Doing this accomplishes a couple of things:
    1)  We get around the error because XI polls email2 (which has adapter settings of IMAP4 so we can see MAIL adapter attributes ie. sender, subject etc...When we originally had as POP3 we were not able to see these - but setting as IMAP4 causes the error for external emailers)
    2) We have a SPAM filter - the XI email is clean from SPAM and the adapter will not have errors, as it only receives valid emails to process
    3) We have a central email (email1) which is used to archive all XI emails - we use this for all email scenarios (as we also save to folder and forward in the rule)
    Hope this helps your situation.
