Error in start conditions

Hi experts,
I Get an error in my application monitors,
we dont have any clue who is the user and why is he facing such error.
Can any one help me out in this regard.
The error is
Start conditions for 00050101442 is incorrect : 0 workflows
This is SRM version 4.0
Best Regards,
Sairam.

Hi Sai
Check your workflow start conditions for this object in txn SWB_PROCUREMENT.
If you have multiple workflows activated for any object (say, SHopping cart), then you need to be careful to see that  :
- start conditions are mutually exclusive (same start condition value should not be in 2 workflow startconditions. For example, you cannot define total value 0-1000 EUR for one workflow and 1000-10000 in another workflow as 1000 is valid in both )
- Start conditions encompass all possible values (For example, if you define total value 0-1000 EUR for one workflow and 1000-10000 in another workflow, it is not sufficient  as they do not cover all values . Better would be to define 0-1000 in one workflow and >1000 in another workflow)

  • Error using a method call in the starting conditions of a Workflow

    Hi,
    In SRM 4, I have a doubt about a start condition with WFWS14000109 I need to trigger the WF depending on organizational unit of the requester (not purchase group or purchase organization).
    I have seen in the editor, in SWB_COND in the part of requisitionerUser the Method ReadOrgUnit.
    I change to traditional mode of the editor and when I select the method I get in Express1. field
    &_EVT_OBJECT.REQUISITIONERUSER.READORGUNIT(_RESULT='OBEG';ACTORGUNIT= )&
    If I use = and the organizational unit in express2 field I get error
    Partial expression expected (expression '&_EVT_OBJECT_REQUISITIONERUSER.READORGUNIT(_RESULT',position       76)
    Can anybody say me where is the error? how I should express the condition.
    Thanks
    Best Regards

    I don't think you can use a BOR method in a condition. At least not as far as I know. I think it would be better to create a virtual attribute in your delegated subtype of BUS2121 and use that in the condition.

  • Multiple condition : Error when starting a SWITCH branch

    Hi,
    In our Z Leave Workflow,I am facing the errors listed below.
    Error when starting a SWITCH branch
    Error during CASE evaluation in SWITCH mode for node 0000000158
    Operator 'EQ': The value of the left operand cannot be determined
    Error in the evaluation of expression '<???>&REQ.STATUS&' for item '1'
    Unable to determine the value of component ''
    It gives error in Multiple condition Request Approved? which is similar to standard WF12300111 node number 158 (u can say copy of WF12300111
    This multiple condition works in some scenario But it gives dump at other scenario .
    I have checked the value of REQ.STATUS in runtime. It populates the value as 'POSTED' in runtime,
    Please suggest if any solution on this.

    Hi There was some problem with task which was comprising class CL_PT_REQ_WF_ATTRIBS and APPROVE method. This method is to change the status of particular leave workitem.After running this particular task ,the status was not changin instantly.This method locks particular workitem and was releasing the workitem once the WF gets completed.Hence I was getting REQ.STATUS as sent.
    I have changed that task with following code in new task...
    DATA:
          REQUEST_ID TYPE PTARQ_DEDUCTION-REQUEST_ID,
    request      TYPE REF TO if_pt_req_request,
        new_status   TYPE tim_req_status.
      SWC_GET_ELEMENT CONTAINER 'REQUEST_ID' REQUEST_ID.
    CALL FUNCTION 'ENQUEUE_EPTREQ'
        EXPORTING
          mode_ptreq_header = 'E'
          request_id        = request_id
        EXCEPTIONS
          foreign_lock      = 1
          system_failure    = 2
          OTHERS            = 3.
      IF sy-subrc <> 0.
        MESSAGE w058(hrtim_abs_req) WITH request_id.
      ELSE.
    CALL METHOD ca_pt_req_header=>agent->get_request
          EXPORTING
            im_request_id = request_id
          IMPORTING
            ex_request    = request.
    execute state transition
        CALL METHOD request->initiate_state_transition
          EXPORTING
            im_transfer_event = 'APPROVE'
          IMPORTING
            ex_new_status     = new_status.
    COMMIT WORK.
        CALL FUNCTION 'DEQUEUE_EPTREQ'
          EXPORTING
            request_id = request_id.
    ENDIF.
    This will create new status for leave item during WF processing.
    Apart from that also added Wait for  2 minutes after that task....
    Thanks for your help.

  • Error when starting work item

    Hi
    We are having SRM5.0.
    Trying to create Contract. Workflow Without approval of contract(WS1400086)is activated and start conditions also no workflow activated.
    Contract is created and getting message Contract created.
    But when tried to release the contract it shows "Awaiting approval".
    In Workflow log (SWI1)it shows error."Error when starting work item xxxx".
    What could be the reason. Please let me know the solution if anyone of you come across such error.
    Thanks in advance
    Jagadish

    Masa
    It is maintained as General task already.
    It seems the workflow task WS14000085 does not have definition.
    When checked in SWDD for the above teask there are no steps defined for that workflow.
    SAP says that we need to define and action for workflow WS14000085.
    But what is the procedure to define the workflow.
    I presume this is the standard workflow and it should be defined by default when it comes along with the SRM package.
    Anyone of you know how to define the workflow and activate the same?
    Regards
    Jagadish

  • Error when starting a SWITCH branch (8987)

    Hi,
    I am testing my workflow which starting with a multiple condition (switch). The workflow process is stopped with the error:
    Error when starting a SWITCH branch (8987).
    The workflow check shows no warnings or errors. What could be the problem?
    Thank you in advance.

    Check the workflow container (of the started workflow instance) and see if you spot a problem with one of the container objects used in your switch conditions.

  • Action with start condition always triggers

    Functionality required: "when its 4 days from the actual date an
    Audit is to take place an e-mail should be triggered to the
    audit attendees"
    I have created a new date rule (4 days before - reminder) and
    added this date rule to the date profile 000000000003.  I am
    using this date profile in my actions and have set a new start
    condition to trigger an e-mail alert when "todays date" = my new
    date rule.  I have set up scheduled conditions which are met.
    when i create transactions which meet both the scheduled and
    start conditions (from my perspective) the action is getting
    triggered to send the e-mail reminder.  My new date rule is as
    follows:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <TimeRule>
       <TimeRuleSource>
          <ruleline>
             <AssignTimeExp displaytype="AssignTime">

                </MoveTimeExp>
             </AssignTimeExp>
          </ruleline>
       </TimeRuleSource>
    When i test it using various dates it seems to work as expected, it returms false when it should fail and true when it should suceed  When tested from within the date rule for the FROM and TO date for todays dates i get the following:
    Deadlines
    Appointment Type RESULT

    From
    Appointment Type ORDERACTUAL

    SYSTEM GMTUK CL_TIMECALENDAR_SIMPLE
    In my start condition i am testing for my date rule (4 days
    before - reminder) = todays date.
    Can anyone explain why my start condition is always being triggered
    Thanks in advance
    Ed

    Hello Easwar Ram,
    Thanks for your reply.
    No, I didn't create an Action Profile. I use standard profile: /SCWM/TU (Shipping & Receiving - Transportation Unit).
    I only have created a new Action Definition, Schedule and Start Conditions for this Definition. All work correctly with the exception of the button 'Start Condition Parameter'.
    I don't know why the button appears because I didn't define a Condition Parameter for the Start Condition. And when I click on this button I get an error in standard SAP code:
    1) li_bor_object ?= l_context->appl.
    2) ls_bor_handle = li_bor_object->get_bor_object( ip_objtype = l_objtype ).
    L_context->appl has value '' in the debugger. After line 1 the value of the li_bor_object is '' therefore line 2 terminates the transaction with error.
    Maybe this occurs because the Action Profile uses a Persistent Class for Object Type instead of a Business Object Repository?

  • Configuring Identity Management Components - Error in starting opmn server

    Hello,
    I have a VM, which is being administered by VMware Lab Manager. The VM is running RHEL 5.1, and has an Oracle 11g database installed.
    I am in the process of trying to install and configure Oracle Internet Directory 11g. To do this, I ran the Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Oracle Identity Management Installer. I selected the "Install Software - Do Not Configure" installation type, and chose to "Configure without a Domain" in order to avoid having to install and administer a WebLogic domain. I set "/data1/u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.1" as the Oracle Middleware Home, and "Oracle_IDM1" as the Oracle Home Directory. (To simplify things below, let ORACLE_IDM_HOME refer to the /data1/u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.1/Oracle_IDM1" directory... understand that no environment variable exists with this name though.) The installation routine ran successfully.
    But, I ran into a problem while trying to configure the Oracle Identity Management 11g components. I ran the Oracle Identity Management 11g Release 1 Configuration Wizard (ORACLE_IDM_HOME/bin/config.sh). Here are some of the key configuration values that I entered:
    - Oracle Instance Location: /data1/u01/config/oracle/as_admin/asinst_1
    - Oracle Instance Name: asinst_1
    - Select Domain: Configure without a Domain
    - Configure Components: Oracle Internet Directory
    - Configure Ports: Auto Port Configuration
    - Specify Schema Database: Create Schema
    After entering my configuration values and hitting the Configure button, the configuration process started running. Shortly thereafter, under Bootstrap Domain Configuration, "Failed" appeared next to the "Create ASInstance" line, with the following error listed:
    {code}
    Error creating ASInstance asinst_1
    Cause: An internal operation has failed: Error in starting opmn server
    Operation aborted because of a system call failure or internal error
    {code}
    In case it would be helpful, here is the output from the error log for the Oracle Identity Management 11g Configuration Wizard:
    {code}
    oracle.as.provisioning.util.ConfigException:
    Error creating ASInstance asinst_1.

As expected, the server failed to start. But, I checked the opmn.out file (in the ORACLE_INSTANCE/diagnostics/logs/OPMN/opmn directory), and found the following error repeated several times:

    Does anyone know what this error means? I am at a loss as to what to do at this point, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

    h1. UPDATE:
    I just needed internet access to download the sysstat and compat-db packages, once installed I disconnected from the internet and re-run the installation, once again, it went fine without problems and opmn and OID are up and running. Also, I enabled the firewall which was disabled during the first installation.
    Here is the list of packages needed as pre-requisites:
    gcc-4.1.0-28.4, gcc-c++-4.1.0-28-4, setarch-1.6-1, libstdc++-4.1.0, libstdc++-devel-4.1.0, compat-libstdc++-2.96, control-center-2.8.0, glibc-common-2.3.4-2.9, binutils-2.16.91, make-3.80 on top of sysstat-5.0.5-1 and compat-db-4.1.25-9.
    There are 3 configuration files for opmn: instance.properties, opmn.xml and ports.prop..... and for OID: component-logs.xml
    h2. instance.properties:
    #These properties are generally used as default values for arguments not specified on the command line. When an argument is provided on the command line, the corresponding property is overwritten in this file.

  • Switch error : error when starting a switch branch

    Hello,
    I'm facing an issue on a simple switch :
    I have the following condition : &change& = X or &molga& = AE
    when the two conditions are OK, the WF is OK, but :
    when the second part is false (example : molga = 14 or molga = EG), the WF fails and I have this message : "error when starting a switch branch". I don't understand why knowing that the element "molga" is defined in the WF container as T500P-molga !
    Many thanks,
    Karim

    Hi,
    I think both the conditions are failing, &Change& ne 'X' and &molga& ne AE. So the WKF will be going into error and says, "error when starting a switch branch". Please make sure you have other branches in the switch conditon step, to handle if both conditions failed. So WKF will take that branch.

    Vinoth

  • Error (Error when starting a SWITCH branch) while using container operation

    HI Experts,
    I am using container operation step for moving internal table (ref to sflight) to workarea.The error I found in the log is ' Error when starting a SWITCH branch'.Kindly help me in finding the solution.Below are the steps and code.
    Result Element = lw_sflight             (Element ref to sflight with export and Import)
    Assignment     =    =                     (Assign (contents of table are deleted first)
    Expression      = &FLIGHT&             (Multi line container ref to sflight)
    Operator          = Assignment
    Expression      =                                 (Blank)
    Thanks and Regards,
    Srini

    Hello,
    Maybe you should show more information about the condition step instead of the container operation step.
    A previous poster in SDN said they solved their problem by changing the order of the conditions.

  • Error while starting workflow

    HI Gurus
    In my customers company they implement an Upgrade from R/3 sytem release 4.7C to ECC 6.0.
    After that we began with unit tests. We are facing an error when we try to start a Workflow. The error message says:
    "Error while starting the workflow".
      Message number:  LR365
    An analysis of TC SWU4 was done for task TS90000001 and during the "Tasks consistency verification" we got the following errors:
    E SW: 006  MANDATORY IMPORT ELEMENT  'TS_DATE' IS NOT (EXPLICITY)
    E SW: 006  MANDATORY IMPORT ELEMENT  'TS_TIME' IS NOT (EXPLICITY)
    We found SAP Note 1228836 - Compatibility of conditions with
    date/time constants.
    Do somenone know if the application of that note will solve the problem?
    Or can someone give me some light on that theme?
    Thanks in advanced.
    Francisco

    Since it is a custom workflow, check the import and export elements
    defined in the workflow in SWDD transaction in your latest version.

    Use the 'srvctl config database -d ' command to check if the instance has been configured in the Oracle Cluster Registry; make sure that the GSDs are running on each node in the cluster.

  • Error in multiple condition type switch

    Hi,
    I define a multiple condition as a switch for different processing branches for my
    Workflow (all my attributes in the conditions are from the object).
    I defined the Other Values outcome also.
    When one of the conditions is true I received an error SWP103 "Error when starting a SWITCH branch"
    It works fine when my process go to "other" outcome.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Ronit.

    In my workflow the same error occured while using a mutliple condition with type Switch.
    A short explanation of my workflow:
    - container operation: errorcounter = errorcounter + 1
    - multiple condition
      1. errorcounter =< 4
      2. errorcounter = 5
      3. other values
    - activity
    - loop until (depending on outcome activity).
    The first time while executing the loop went perfect, but the second time it failed and based on the message I guess it failed on the multiple condition. What I also notices in the technical view was that the errorcounter wasn't updated.
    I guess the container operation and multiple condition bumped into eachother (somehow?) and caused the error.
    My solution:
    Put a wait stap between step 1 and 2 and it works fine.
    I'm not sure this case is applicable to you, but may be a hint in the right direction. Good luck!

  • PRKO-2015 : Error in checking condition of instance on node:

    I am using Oracle 10.2.0.4 2 node RAC on Solaris 10 x86_86.
    I have renamed our test database using nid and have restarted the RAC instance.
    The cluster is not able to identify the database eventhough I've tried adding the database and instances manually.

    2009-06-24 15:48:28.436: [  CRSRES][781672] Resource Registered: ora.smttstdr.smttstdr2.inst
    But still I get the error messages with srvctl.
    Think so this would need CRS reboot.
    Wanted to confirm if there is any other way to fix this issue as there is a production database in the same box and rebooting the CRS would require downtime.
    Any suggestions ?

  • Starting conditions are invalid. Number of WF started: 0

    Hi experts,
    I noticed very strange situation in case of SC autoapproval WF (SRM 5.0 Extended Classic). When I activate standard WF indicating my starting conditions everything is OK. But when I made a copy of that standard WF SC autoapproval and indicated the same starting condition I can shop because system gives an error that no WF found for SC. In application monitor there is an error Starting conditions are invalid. Number of WF started: 0. How this is possible? The starting conditions are the same, WF are also the same - one of them is only a copy of another....
    Please give me some advise if you have any ideas...
    Regards,
    RafaD

    Hi,
    please check if the starting conditions of the original Workflow are still active. In SRM, the starting conditions must not overlap, so take care that the system found exactly one workflow. Easiest way to check this is by de-activating the original starting conditions.
    regards
    Chris
