Hello
If I try to set a database online with:
ALTER DATABASE mydb SET online
this error occurs:
Msg 5171, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
E:\Data\mydb_log.ldf is not a primary database file.
Msg 5171, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
E:\Data\mydb.mdf is not a primary database file.
File activation failure. The physical file name "E:\Data\mydb.mdf" may be incorrect.
Msg 945, Level 14, State 2, Line 1
Database 'mydb' cannot be opened due to inaccessible files or insufficient memory or disk space. See the SQL Server errorlog for details.
Msg 5069, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
ALTER DATABASE statement failed.
The path of ldf and mdf file is correct.
And if I delete the database "DROP DATABASE mydb" and attach the files, then it works..

This problem generally occurs if the MDF file of your SQL Server has got damaged. the problem could be due to file header corruption or wrong information in file header.

There can be various scenario which can cause this error (many of them is mentioned in this thread by other members).
If you can elaborate a little more as:
what you are trying to do?
were the database was accessible before (same way as you are trying to access it now)?
Is it simply that you are trying to access the database or you are trying attaching an MDF?
If you can let us know the above I am sure we will be able to help you in a better and effective way.

SSO2 Error = ERROR: PSE not found in database

Need your help.
In SS02 in the directory below SAPSSO2000.pse is incorrect. This should point to /usr/sap/MQW/DVEBMGS04/sec/SAPSYS.pse and I am not sure how to correct it. Do I need to maintain a profile to do this.

Error - 2048 not a valid movie file

hello,
I'm a NAPP member and had been following the photoshop TV casts on QT....however, now I get the error message 'error - 2048 not a valid movie file'...its an mpeg4 QT file, but I get the message whenever I attempt to play the downloaded file...or when I try to just watch the stream, it won't open the URL...these are the only movies that I'm having this problem with...as I can watch other movies from other sites w/o incident...NAPP hasn't replied to my inquiries except that they don't support the TV shows.
Any ideas?...would be appreciated...

We have a port which is blocked due to structural exceptions.When i try to connect to the Exceptions folder
"Main[Exceptions]" the import manager throws an error "Logon Error:Could not retrieve the source file for port "Main".

These are the line I see almost to the end of the log file before they complete field mappings,value addings

I am geting this error when I enter the "java" command:

I have configured the PATH variable (Windows 2000) and "javac" works. I cannot, however, get my programs to run because of the error every time I type "java". Also, I did not install my JDK / SDK to the directory in which the computer is looking for the "java" cammand (ie. it is not in 'Program Files'...). If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Try using the -cp switch on the command line. For example:java -cp . MyProgramIf this corrects the problem, you need to set the classpath variable
as well as the path.

I am getting below Error while doing an ETL full load (Informatica 901) on the task DATAWAREHOUSE.DATAWAREHOUSE.SILOS.SIL_APTransactionFact_DiffManLoad.
My source system is EBS R12 and Target is OBI Datawarehouse (7.9.6.3)
LKPDP_1:TRANSF_1_1> CMN_1117 ERROR: Could not allocate space in file [BI/infohome/server/infa_shared/Cache/PMLKUP16145_7_0_6139S64.dat].
Below is the file system specification of my server.

I could also see that my 'Cache' folder from '/BI/infohome/server/infa_shared/' is increasing upto 190 GB and throwing an error. Is this normal that the data cache to increase up to 190 GB for a EBS source system which has only 500 GB data in total. And i am doing only load for Financial Analytics.

We are struck on same issue. I didnt any update on this thread if the issue was resolved.
I checked out "SIL_APTransactionFact_DiffManLoad" workflow in Workflow manager and unchecked "Lookup Cache() function".
However, I still see the cache files created on <<INFA_HOME>>/9.0.1/server/infa_shared/Cache folder.
Since it was set not to use cache, can it be possible not to have these files cache files generated.

Tns error could not connect to database but can tnsping and sqlplus

The new install OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1, with two Linux RH/64 Bit servers set up and running, but can't get to 11g database when running reports.
Error: nqsError 17001 Oracle Error Code 12154, message ORA-12154: TNS could not resolve the connect identifier specified at OCI call OCIServerAttach. nQSError 17014 could not connect to Oracle database
Server 1 BI Server
BI server is running.
oc4j is running.
jdk is installed
/setup/user.sh variables and libs set
.bash_profile variables and libs set
oracle client installed with lib32
can tnsping the database from here using SID
can sqplus login to the database from here
changed connection pool offiline and uploaded new .rpd
this script does not work /setup . sa-cli.sh to test client, nothing happens, also unable to connect to BI Server in online mode from Windows client 32bit.
Server 2 Presentation Server
saw server is running
set odbc AnalyticsWeb DSN to point to BI Server 1
Since I can ping and connect with tns, why is presentation server throwing errors?

Hi,
I am a tech at a failing company. Unfortuneatly some users still need ADI installed and working with very limited resources to troubleshoot oracle. I am getting the error - ( Could not connect to the database - ora-12545: tns:name lookup failure )when the user tries to log on to ADI. Any suggestions? I would really appreciate it. We are on Windows NT on an NT network. Oracle 8.05 client installed and ADI 6.0.

During installation when it prompts / gives us to type / Browse the installtion sources like installation master / ker cd's / installation export .......,
What did you do ?
did you browse to the respective directory ??
or
did you manually type ??
I got the same problem on unix like. On oversight instead of browsing i typed manually and by mistake in one of the path i added space in one of the installation source path and installation ended with not able to locate file system error.
if you have typed it manually .. i beleive it could be similar to this ??

Photoshop wont open get error could not open a scratch file because the disk is not available

Had to clone my hard drive to another drive on my computer.
I have been receiving a message "Could not open a scratch file because the disk is not available" I have tried UN-installing and re-installing...still the same message.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Hold fingers over Shift Option Command (or similar on Windows) then boot Photoshop and as fast as you can depress the 3 keys.

Could not render the database - File is already open in another application - Fireworks unusable

I'm using CC for mac and when trying to export an image in Fireworks I get this message popping up…
It's constantly happening and even if I click ok or press the escape button I get a repeatedly blank version of the popup and I'm unable to export the image. This is rendering Fireworks unusable and along with Dreamweaver it's the application I use pretty much all the time so is a considerable annoyance.
Can anyone help get this resolved please?

I appear to have found the cause by chance. I was running AVG Anti-virus software but uninstalled that and hey presto Fireworks appears to be back to normal.

I'm deploying a colleague's project today which includes 60+ packages. I suspect "Source.conmgr" was probably a default early on that was deleted. Is there an quick way to determine which package may still be referencing this? Unfortunately
the message shows up in the build on one of the key calling packages that invokes the others...

Could not write the AIF file (session error)

I receive the error "Could not write the AIF file (session error)" when trying to record to Sound Track using any of my USB input microphones. Does anybody know how to resolve the problem?
Also, does anybody have any suggestions about what product to use to produce good multi-track audio files. I am interested in both a hardware and a software solution. It seems that using the standard Apple software that comes on the new G5s does not offer any good solutions.

Update to Snow Leopard then update Final Cut Studio. Chances are your problem will have been fixed.
In my experience, in previous iterations of STP there were a number of serious bugs related to saving files. Running everything up-to-date, however, I am no longer having those problems (knock on wood).
