Error JOB MS.JOB.DELETE in Adapter Engine SAP XI 7.0

Hello,
I am getting an error in JOB that deletes messages from the adapter engine of SAP XI 7.0, can someone help me?
Adapter Engine, message: Fatal DeleteJob (Default Delete Job) failed.(Details: Code: MS.JOB.DELETE, Location: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.impl.core.archiving.executor.DeleteExecutor, Reason: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Error removing messages or audit log entries with expired persist duration., Time: 14.08.2008 21:00:05)
Thanks
Zanchetta

Hi Roberto,
We have noticed this behavior after our PI system is upgraded to PI 7.0 Ehp1.
It is caused by JDBC driver after upgrade. This issue is resolved in the following new jdbc driver which is available on the SAP Service Marketplace:
DB2 Driver for ODBC and CLI V9.7 FP3a SB27297.
Hope your issue will be resolved by this fix. If it's not resolved, please open up a message with SAP.
Thanks,
Siva Kumar

  • Error in gettnig logon data for Adapter Engine

    Hi,
We have Http > XI > RFC Scenario. We are getting 401 unauthorized error in "CALL ADAPTER" section. From the trace its clear that the logon data for the adapter engine (there is no value for USER in trace) is not getting poulated. We fixed this issue last evening....i think by doing full cache refresh, but this problem propped up again today. Yesterday when this issue was fixed the USER has "PIISUSER" in the trace.
We haven't changed any config settings since yesterday so all the passwords and other config info is same. Not sure what's causing this issue. Below is the trace. Any help will be highly appreciated.

  • RFC Error during call from IBM WebSphere adapter to SAP R/3

We recently saw an issue arise on on one of our RFC interfaces.  We dropped 15 messages onto the request queue of the BAPI adapter, 11 processed successfully, and 4 failed with the following statement:
[Thread: EAI.SAP_BAPIJmsThreadPool.thread5 (#1670071)] [Type: Error] [MsgID: 27064] [Mesg: Error: Function module Z_BAPI_ZPTRAC_UPDATE could not be found. Check the SAP system or the business object ASI.]
I replayed the 4 in question and they processed successfuly.  I then dropped them on the request queue in our VAL environment and had 2 failures.  I replayed the same 15 a second and third time and all 15 were successful in those cases.
Has anyone seen this before?  We are configured to allow 1 concurrent connection and to log into the db server directly.
    Thanks.

So we tested some things that are described in the SDN or by SAP with Connectors.
We tested JCO version 2.0.12, 2.1.18 and 3.0 in J2EE Projects in netweaver and in Eclipse (Standalone).
For version 2.0.12 there is a failure that this version is not compatible with the other things in netweaver.
This version is for standalone and integrated sytems.
For version 2.1.18 is only described as standalone and so failure happened in netweaver that other classes are coruppted or missed. The internal test in "content administrator" (Ping and Test) do not work and had the same error.
For version 3.0 (that displace the other two versions) there is many to do in  settings and coding that we do not have tested yet because project is not that small to write it for JCO 3.0 only for testing. When we only displaced files in netweaver the server do not start any more.
    So:
Is there a way to call R/3 from session bean and 1. create an JCO client or 2. add a client to the "standard" pool of netweaver to use it?
    Any ideas? help? links?
Project have to be complete in september...
Our combi is SAP Netweaver 2004 SP21 on Windows XP SP2 / Server 2003 Standard SP1 with JVM 1.4.2_16... need of any more info?

  • Error in Adapter engine in RWB

    Hi,
I'm facing 2 type of issues in RWB,
Issue 1) Adapter Engine is in Red State in Component monitoring,
Error: Details for 'Is the Adapter Engine Running?'
Response from Adapter Engine: Fatal ArchiveJob (Archiving) failed.(Details: Code: MS.JOB.ARCHIVE; Location: com.sap.engine.messaging.impl.core.job.executor.ArchiveExecutor; Reason: java.io.IOException: The HTTP request of command "MODIFYPATH" did not reach the XMLDAS. This may indicate that the credentials for the HTTP destination have expired.; Time: 31.03.2011 00:00:05)Response from Adapter Engine: Fatal ArchiveJob (Archiving) failed.
    2) If I click, any one of the option like Communication Channel monitoring, Engine Status etc, I'm getting the error
"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
It seems to be the URL to open these component(Communication Channel monitoring, Engine Status etc ) is wrong. Fromwhere the URL address is taken? Where we need check the host name??
I searched in sdn, but could not find any related topics.
Kindly help me resolve this issue ASAP.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Baskaran K

    Hi Baskaran,
For 1), did you check if the XML DAS communication user (used in destination "DASdefault") is configured correctly according to the documentation http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/EN/43/68fac39a363d33e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm and is assigned to the "XMLDASSecurityRole" role?
And check if you have configured the rules for your Archiving job (Component Monitoring -> Adapter Engine XIE -> Background Processing).
It seems the archiving does not work because of configuration issues.
An archiving job without rules means: all messages are relevant for archiving. The delete job will only delete messages which are not relevant for archiving. So it does not do anything in this system. It can lead to the database table keeps growing, if it's the case too.
You should check the archiving configuration so that the archiving job runs successfully.
If you do not want to archive the messages, please deactivate the archiving job. Then the delete job should clean the old messages with the next execution.
You may delete it straightly on the Background Processing.
For the 2), "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage", try using the compatibility mode of your browser.

    Caio Cagnani

    Hi all,
We got an error when trying to resend all messages in error in runtime workbench, message monitoring, adapter engine, database (overview), clicking on a sender service with messages in error state, and clicking on "repeat" button to resend those in error messages. It looks like the adapter engine is not able to register him self on SLD, you have to check in the SLD the "Exchange Infrastructure" domain, you have to verify restarting the J2EE the adapter engine update the entries in the SLD related to the specific XI Domain.
Launch Visual Administrator >> Server >> Services >> SAP AF CPA Cache
    Enter the appropriate values for:
    SLD.selfregistration.hostname (Use fully qualified hostname)
    SLD.selfregistration.httpPort
    SLD.selfregistration.httpsPort

  • Error: Unable to find any Adapter Engines

    Hi all,
I am trying to execute a very simple scenario.
A xml-file is read from a drive by the XI system.
    XI reads the values.
Another xml-file containing some parts of this info is written to another location.
I see that the file is read and removed.
However, when I check the monitoring I find follwing error message:

    </SAP:Error>
    Is there some configuration missing?
    We are running XI3.0 SP9.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards

    Hi Geert,
My first guess is that something is not configured correctly. Try checking if your adapter engine is registered in the SLD:
In a browser, goto http://host:port/sld. Choose Technical Landscape. Under Technical System Type, select Exchange Infrastructure. You should have an entry like:
    "Adapter Engine on cx1.cernum05"
If not, check the settings in Visual Administrator for the SLD Provider service and test the update from here.
Also check your receiver communication channel. Under Adapter Engine, it should say "Integration Server". If it says e.g. af.cx1.cernum05, your SLD has not been updated correctly.
    Regards,
    Thorsten

  • Messages in multi-message format can only be sent to one Adapter Engine

    Hi,
Using XI 7.0 SPS 12 I have a scenario Single Flat File->XI->Multiple Messages to ECC.
Due to an annoying limitation/bug in ECC we have to send workorders in to be processed as individual transactions.  This means generating seperate calls to ECC from PI.
I've adjusted my message map (No BPM) to split the source messages out, but when it calls the XI adapter to send them to ECC I get the following:
    <!-- Technical Routing -->
    <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30"
    xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"

    </SAP:Error>
I am generating multiple structures under
    messages/message1/xx_my_structure_repeated_at_this_level
which gives the correct amount of payloads in moni.
I believe this error is because the http/idoc adapters dont go through the AE and it is the AE that splits the multiple messages into individual calls.  Is there a clean workaround which doesnt involve BPM or intermediate writing to disk etc?
    Thanks
    James.
    Points awarded where appropriate.

<i>I believe this error is because the http/idoc adapters dont go through the AE and it is the AE that splits the multiple messages into individual calls.</i>
    Perfectly correct
<i>Is there a clean workaround which doesnt involve BPM or intermediate writing to disk etc?</i>
    May be writin a module.
Otherwise to avoid other development time, go for BPM.

1, In SXI_CACHE i could see 'Unable to refresh cache contents' and 'Error during last attempt to refresh cache' also I could not see any entry in Adapter Engine Connection Data Cache.
2, when execute the RFC connection 'INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI' Its asking for userId and password .
3, I tried reset the password and do a JAVA restart again with same error.
    Clarificaiton need :
1 Looks some authorization error , but where exactly to maintain this ,

  • Adapter engine URL different between CACHE and RWB adapter engine URL?

    Hi there,
If I go to SXI_CACHE and go to the adapter engine runtime cache I get a URL of:
    https://<server>/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI
NOTE: The above URL is HTTPS.....and there is no port in the above....
However, if I go to the runtime workbench and click on the adapter engine and click on "test message", I get the following URL:
    http://<server>:<port>/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI
NOTE: The above url is HTTP and there is a port.
How can I get these URL's back in sync?
I want them both to be HTTP.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Hello
    1) Check the value of the Exchange Profile parameter 'com.sap.aii.connect.secure_connections'. If you don't wish to use HTTPS this should not have any value set.
    2) Delete the Adapter Engine cache in trx sxi_cache -> Goto -> Adapter Engine Cache -> Delete Cache Contents (trash can icon).
The AE cache will be populated the next time a message is sent through the system. Check the value after this is done.
    Regards
    Mark

  • 1636215 - Performance monitoring for the Advanced Adapter Engine

    Hi ALL,
How can we monitor the performance by changing the parameter to true in the above note please please help me
    Thanks,
    Raj

    Hi Dheeraj,
Since you've gone through the note, I'm assuming you know how to activate the performance monitoring for adapter engine.
However, there are reservations against doing it in any system Dev/Quality/Production. Reason being, it becomes performance/load intensive when the perf. monitoring is on.
Still, you can diagnose bottlenecks and execution trends in Dev/Quality using performance monitoring as suggested in the note but be aware that your box is coping well with it. Please note, once activated, you don't have to do anything else. System will automatically collect performance data and you will be able to browse through it using the performance monitoring link.
    How to use it???
You see a performance monitoring link in Monitoring Home (navigate via Configuration and Monitoring home from PI/PO homepage).
It will help you analyze the flow of message on periodical basis (hourly/daily etc) and will give you more stats on number of messages in that time duration, average time taken, message sizes (min, max and avg), interface-by-interface detail of runtime consumption at every stage etc.
