Error line 392 in eventoracle.cpp when using activeX callback vi.
I am using an activeX control built in VC6.0. I followed the instructions to handle the activeX event using the Reg Event Callback node. It is being handled because I have a message box within the handler that does appear. But after the handler executes, LV crashes with the statement that eventoracle.cpp failed at line 392.
I found that the issue is not the ActiveX event, but where is the event fired from in the ActiveX control. I have a worker thread that calls the parent thread's method to fire the event. If I move the firing of the event outside of this worker thread, I have no problems getting handling the event.

App crash when using JAVA callbacks from native threads in solaris
Hi all,
Sorry for putting the thread here. I did use the native methods forum, I wasnt lucky. I Hope more people would look into this forum, which brings me here.
I have a solaris application which crashes when I try to callback the JAVA methods and variables from the native code. The description of the problem is below
Written a native library, the library is multithreaded (i.e) I create a thread using pthread_create() in the native code which performs the operation of calling a JAVA method from the native code. The routine of calling the JAVA method works perfectly elsewhere outside the new thread.
There are two scenarios I've tested it in
1. I created a thread (say X) from the main thread (say Y) and made the y to wait until the X is complete using the pthread_join(). The JAVA callbacks works fine when called from Y but the app crashes if done from X.
2. Did not make the Y to wait until the X is complete, hoping that both will run paralelly and even the the App crashes.
And to be precise the Y is the thread where the native method is called from JAVA.
I have tested for any memory leaks or stack corruption by removing the JAVA callbacks and bulding a executable and using purify, the report doesnot hint any such occurances.
The linker options used for building the shared library is as follows
${GPP} ${INC} -G ${LIB} -mt -g -lCstd -lCrun -lpthread ${OBJS} -o <lib-name>
I wonder if we can create threads in the native code when using JAVA callbacks and even if we can whether it would be appropiate to use the callbacks with in the threads
Looking forward for any help.

Capturing error messages from Oracle EBS APIs when using Oracle Apps Adapter
We are using Oracle applications adapter to call Oracle EBS (both R11.5 and R12) APIs. I want to understand the best practice around error handling when using Oracle Apps Adapter to call Oracle EBS.
Here are some observations:
1. Most of the APIs return X_RETURN_STATUS and X_MSG_DATA containing the status and messages if any.
2. If the MSG COUNT is 1 then X_MSG_DATA contains the message, if MSG COUNT is > 1. X_MSG_DATA is empty.
We know that when calling the API directly from PL/SQL, we need to loop through FND_MSG_PUB to fetch all messages when there are more than 1. How do we achieve the same using Apps Adapter as Apps Adapter generates the PL/SQL block to call the API dynamically at runtime.
In some APIs, which have table/rec types as input or output parameters, Apps Adapter generates a wrapper package to do conversion from SQL--> PL/SQL and viceversa. In this case the adapter calls the custom package generated which internally calls the API. For these APIs we were able to put the logic to loop through FND_MSG_PUB and return a concatenated string as value of X_MSG_DATA.
But what should we do for the APIs which do NOT have a rec/table type as input or output, in which case the Apps Adapter directly calls the API and there is no intermediate custom package?
How are others handling this?Please see the section "Handling Functional Errors" in the below link

Error out from MB01 and MIGO when using BADI "INSPECTIONLOT_UPDATE"
Hi all:
We are currently implementing Quality Level with Dynamic Modification Rule using SAP Quality Management module.
We are trying to change stage level by modifying the field PRSTUFENAE of the table QDQL (Material Quality Level) using BADI: INSPECTIONLOT_UPDATE, new logic is successful for a goods receipt with a single lot if we use COMMIT WORK within BADI, but an error occurs from MB01 and MIGO when we are receiving multiple lots in same goods receipt.
Have anyone else got across something similar?
Thank you in advance,
Regards
Daniel GuillenHi Paul,
First of all, there is a How To Guide for RUNLOGIC implementation. It uses BAdI approach as well, but doesn't call WRITE_BACK that can change from version to version.
Second, you should be able to see that method GET_DELTA is being called under
IF D_CALC_DELTA eq abap_true and df_bw_delta eq abap_false.
D_CALC_DELTA is set to TRUE only in Method WRITE_BACK_INT; I hope you aren't using that one.
DF_BW_DELTA is taken from DM Package parameters. Can you check what you have there or put just a break-point in PACKAGE_LOGIC_1 to see what value those 2 variables have?
Hope this helps,

Error Generated by DIO Port Read when using a compilied Operator Interface
When using a compilied version of an TestStand Operator interface, a Vi that reads the status of a port on a PCI-6602 board stops working. Within this VI a sub VI called Read DIO Port brings back an error -10007. But when I use the un compilied version of the operator interface there is no problem with the VI.
Why is this so?
Attachments:
Get_SIU_Switch_States.vi 58 KBI have tried to simulate this issue and I have not been able to replicate your issue.
I know the -10007 occurs when you try and create/use a resource index that is not possible i.e if your referencing channel 9 and the device only has 8 channels.
Have you managed to overcome this issue yet? -
Smartform : line type not working fine when used on Next page
Hi ,
Please help on below :
I have a smartform and have line type which is used in printing the items.
When I use this line type on very first page , it works fine.
But for the next page which is the exact copy of first page ,
the line type does not work fine with printing first line item on next page,
it refreshed the work area which i am printing. so on the next page very first element gets all the values 000
But on the next iteration it works fine and does not refresh work area.
Please see why is such abnormal behavior happening.
Regards,
Uma DaveHi Ameya
there might be syntax error. Try to get what exaclty is an error using following code.
CALL FUNCTION <smartform>

ENDIF.
In IT_ERRORLIST you will get error message.

Error in WEBI report and MDXTEST when using Dimensions in Prompt
Hi,
I am using BOXIR3.1 SP2, SAPBI 7.0
I m creating a webI report (Universe is on SAP BI Query.) which include following objcets in Query section of WebI pannel:
Business partner, Account Class, Total Arreas count.
The Condition pane of Webi Includes Prompt on object "Account Class".
When I run a report, I get List of values for Dimension Account Class, when I select one of available value eg: Commercial Customer,I get Following Error.
A database error occured. The database error text is: The MDX query SELECT { [Measures].[4EITIDWAFWLLZD2ONIAVCKD56] } ON COLUMNS , NON EMPTY CROSSJOIN( [Z_BPATNER].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS, { [Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[Commercial Customers] } ) ON ROWS FROM [ZFC_M07/Z_FC_M07_Q002] failed to execute with the error Value Commercial Customers for characteristic Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS unknown. (WIS 10901)
I tried running same query in MDXTEST editor of BI. I got same error!!!
Then I tried changing the MDX Query as:
SELECT { [Measures].[4EITIDWAFWLLZD2ONIAVCKD56] }
ON COLUMNS , NON EMPTY CROSSJOIN( [Z_BPATNER].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS, { [Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[COM] } ) ON ROWS
FROM [ZFC_M07/Z_FC_M07_Q002]
Then it worked Fine!!! If you observe the change is in the value of Prompt Account Class [Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[COM]
By default Dimension object in Universe shows text value, but when I changed the MDXQuery with Key value (This is one of the value of value is for [Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[Level01] object in mDX test Editor.) It works fine.
I wonder How do i solve this problem!! List of values available in dimension cannot be changed at universe level.
Please let me know if any solution for this exists.
regads,
Nisha.Hi Ingo,
I am creating the prompt on the dimension "Account Class" at WebI level.
The Technical name of this object is: [Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[LEVEL01]
Also,
I confirmed that Index Awareness is applied on this dimension as [Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[LEVEL01].[TECH_NAME].
This Dimension has detail object called "Account Class (Key) "and "Account Class (Medium name)".
MDXtest editor in SAP, shows me text as well as [ Level01] values:
Eg: Account Class InfoObject has values "Commercial Customer " (This is text value)and "[Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[COM]".
COM Refers to Commercial Customer .
So In WebI when I use Dimension "Account Class" as prompt, I get Text value of this InfoObject which is "Commercial Customer ".
and MDXQuery Fails. But when I modify this query in mDXTEST Editor with value as "[Z_FCACTBP__0UCACC_CLAS].[COM]", It work fine.
I donu2019t understand the reason, since this problem is with almost 90% of Dimension object.
When I delete this object from universe, and refresh the universe then webI works fine.
But, if for some reason I refresh the universe again, the Dimension object as a prompt doesnu2019t work!!!
This error occurs every time I refresh the universe.
We are in UAT phase and soon to go Live!! We cannot afford to delete the object every time I refresh the universe.
Please let me know your inputs.
regards,
Nisha.

How to skip first 5 lines from a txt file when using sql*loader
Hi,
I have a txt file that contains header info tat i dont need. how can i skip those line when importing the file to my database?
CheersDanny Fasen wrote:
I think most of us would process this report using pl/sql:
- read the file until you've read the column headers
- read the account info and insert the data in the table until you have read the last account info line
- read the file until you've read a new set of column headers (page 2)
- read the account info and insert the data in the table until you have read the last account info line (page 2)
- etc. until you reach the total block idenfitied by Count On-line ...
- read the totals and compare them with the data inserted in the tableOr maybe like this...
First create an external table to read the report as whole lines...

Hello.
Just recently, whenever I use my VisTablet 465 Penpad Stylus and tablet to mark on the Canvas in Flash, a vertical line is created. The length of it is proportional to how horizontally centered the cursor is on the screen. When I try to move the cursor, the brush makes an inverted mark off the end of the line. I cannot find out how to stop it, and cannot draw anything sensible in Flash.
I contacted Flash assistance, and this was the conversation:
Vivek: Hi, Welcome to Adobe Support.
Vivek: Please give me a moment to study this case.
Martin Laight: Thanks Vivek.
Vivek: Are you using the latest version of driver for the tablet.
Vivek: Please make sure Flash pro version, Tablet driver version and Windows is up to date.
Martin Laight: Yes, we believe it to be 'Model A' driver from the VisTablet website
Vivek: This kind of issues requires the envolvement from engineering team
Martin Laight: As far as we can see all drivers are up to date. The pen pad works fine in Windows 7 Paint
Vivek: ok
Vivek: Please go to the link above and post the issue with tablet model, operating system details.
Please help if you can.Hi,
The issue is resolved in the latest update of Flash Pro.Please update Flash professional to 14.1.0.96 .Follow the instruction below for the same :
Installation instructions
Log out and log in to the CC desktop application. Update the application when prompted.
You should see the list of new updates as soon as the new CC desktop application is launched.
Install Flash Professional CC and Mobile Device Packaging app. On a high speed connection, it took me around 8 minutes.
After the application is installed, you can launch the application directly from the desktop app by clicking on it.
Thanks & Regards,

Ejb error((MARSHAL) Could not find class) when using OneToMany relationship
I am using Netbeans 5.5 with J2EE App Server 9. I have two entity beans with a OneToMany Uni-directional relationship. I have a Remote Stateless session bean which has persistence operations for creating and searching etc.. I am accessing the remote bean via jndi from a j2ee java client. The access works fine. The session bean persist operation creates data in both the entities (cascade persist).
But, after the data is created, when I access the entity manager find() method from the session bean via the client errors out. This error only happens for the entities with OneToMany relationship, not for OneToOne relationships.
I am using TOPLINK persistence provider accessing a derby data source. I have the latest persistence library jar files in the library classpath.
client code:
Phone p1 = new Phone();
p1.setPnumber("999 999 9999");
Customer c1 = new Customer();
c1.setLname("Smith");
c1.getPhone().add(p1);
int pk = agent.createCustomer(c1); // creates the entities
Customer c2 = agent.findCustomer(pk); // this causes the ERROR
session bean code:
@PersistenceContext private EntityManager em;
public int createCustomer(Customer c) {
em.persist(c);
return c.getId();
public Customer findCustomer(int i) { // this causes the ERROR

at com.sun.enterprise.appclient.Main.main(Main.java:180)It appears to be a bug in Netbeans.
I have a similar error message with the following settings:
A session bean remote interface
be.macharis.toon.pacita.common.OriginFacadeRemoteA session bean implementing the remote interface
be.macharis.toon.pacita.common.OriginFacadeAt deploying the ejb module, the session bean is loaded in the JNDI registry under the name be.macharis.toon.pacita.common.OriginFacadeRemote (the server log says so).
I have the following code in a servlet:
import javax.naming.Context;
import javax.naming.InitialContext;
import javax.naming.NamingException;
try {
Context ic = new InitialContext();
OriginFacadeRemote originFacade = (OriginFacadeRemote)ic.lookup(OriginFacadeRemote.class.getName());
originFacade.setOrigin(componentRegistry, OriginFacadeRemote.ELEMENT_CONTAINER); // <- exception here
} catch (NamingException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}Yet I get a java.lang.ClassNotFoundException during the EJB method call. The exception does not take place during execution of the method, but before, while the EJB container is still resolving the method. It thus must be a(nother) bug in the implementation of the EJB container.
And bugs that are outside your control are so much harder to deal with... There was another bug in the EJB container for serialising complex object that I could work around by explicitly serialising the Objects myself to byte arrays. It took me 5 days to do so. I don't know if I will manage to work around this bug. If I do, I will post my solution. For completeness, below my "clarifying" error dump:

Apparent altered DIO line input state on 4351 when using driver instead of NI MAX
Hi,
I'm using an NI4351 PCI DAQ card with the Ni435x driver and LabWindows/CVI v5.5 (on Windows 98) to capture digital logic states on the DIO lines. I first used NI's MAX utility to establish a virtual DAQ input channel from 'Data Neighborhood'. When I tested this channel from the utility by connecting the DIO line to 5V or GND via a 10K resistor, the respective logic levels were registered. In LabWindows, I use the 'NI435X_Init' and 'NI435X_Configure_Digital_Lines' driver functions to respectively initalize the DAQ card and set one of the DIO lines as an input, with the rest being set as outputs. However, I cannot read the input line using 'NI435X_Read_Line' unless I directly connect th
is channel to 5V or GND (i.e. without a 10K resistor), but 'NI435X_Write_Line' works fine. It would appear that the input state of the DIO line is different to that established by NI MAX. Is there something other than the initialize function that should be called? I tried the following linemask combinations to set the port lines, by using F or 1 to represent an output and 0 to represent an input:
NI435X_Configure_Digital_Lines(DAQ_session, 0x0FFFFFFF) // DIO 0 set as input, the rest as outputs
NI435X_Configure_Digital_Lines(DAQ_session, 0x01111111) // DIO 0 set as input, the rest as outputs
I am unsure which format, if either, is correct and would be grateful for any help on this anomaly. Thanks.Hi Kevin,
Yes, if I connect an input channel directly to 5V, the software reads a logic high and continues to read this level even when I disconnect the channel and leave it "floating". The state changes to logic low only when I connect the channel directly to GND and then it stays at this level, even if I disconnect it from GND. In other words, the states seem to 'latch'. Nothing happens if I connect via the 10K resistor - the channel simply remains at the logic level it was last set to after I momentarily connected it directly to 5V or GND. -
Blank Lines at end of file when using Variable Substitution in File Adapter
Hi all,
I'm using variable substitution in a File Adapter, it's refers an element of message, like:
filename payload:MESSAGE_INTERFACE,1,FILENAME,1
The variable substitution is working right, but it's append a BLANK LINE at end of file.
Anyone knows how to solve this problem ?
Thanks in advance.Hi Regis,
I suppose you're using content conversion?
if so try adding
<b>endSeparator</b> = '0'
to your last element
this will delete the default line break at the end

michal
