Encountering Error in webadi : "&Value is invalid. Enter a valid value for the Mapping column &Column"

We are having a custom WebADI, containing a field (Employee Name) which is a LOV.
The LOV has ID : Person ID, Meaning : Employee name, Description : Position Name.
There are multiple records with same Employee name but different Person ID.
If I select an Employee in the LOV which has multiple records (through different IDs), I am getting an error in WebADI:
"Enter a valid EMPLOYEE_NAME.
XX is invalid. Enter a valid value for the Mapping column EMPLOYEE_NAME"
The Query for the LOV is correct and is returning correct records.
Any pointers on this issue highly appreciated.

Error in MDDataSetBW.GetCellData.Please enter a valid value for character

Hi All,
We have a mandotory prompt on 0FISCPER for Web I Report . The promt is present in the universe.
The query works fine in Dev , but in Quality it shows the following error
A database error occured. The database error text is: Error in MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. Please enter a valid value for characteristic 0FISCPER.. (WIS 10901)
The universe is on BW Query and the BW Query works fine.
Can someone please help on this

We have created report level prompts and facing this issue because we were selecting multiple values for prompts.
Its working fine for single selection. Is there any way to enable multi selection for the particular object at the BW end ?
Or else we have to create the prompts (Single selection) at the universe level.

UDF - Set Valid Values for Field

I have a UDF created in Marketing Docs / row level called UOM_Ordered (alphanumeric, length 2) using Set Valid Values for Field. Values are:
CS
IN
DZ
PC
Above are CS abrev for Case, IN abrev for Inner, DZ abrev for Dozen .................
If possible could I have say for example "IN" not to appear in the drop down if the value in OITM (UDF called U_Inner_Qty) is either NULL or a Zero? It's would be a way to stop mistakes when orders are inputted.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

You could try the following:
Insert a formatted search on the field, which contain conditions, ie whether the condition that the value is 0 or null, then bring the required data, while if it is not the case, applies the search formatted with the available data.
On the other hand, leave the form with all the options for disabled users. The latter through additional authorizations for users

Error in BP: insert valid value for bp

Hello experts,
we use msa 50sp11 and it works fine, but sometimes
we have problems with creating/changing activitis to a bp:
error in BP: insert valid value for bp - error 2007 mtbfll
This happens after the user have made some changes to the bp and
replicated it. Then sometimes we get this error.
On other client with the same bp, there I do not get this error althoug the changes are there too.
When I then download an extract 'customer hierarchy' to the affected client, then
the user can work with the bp without problems again.
Does anybody know what there the problem could be ?

I am so pleased to see this post on the forum.
We have been having exactly the same issue intermittently since upgrading to SP11 but it is incredibly difficult to replicate.
It looks like a short record is missing but when checking the entry in SMOKNA1SHT, it has a full record there.
For us, we have generally seen it when navigating from the calendar, and then clicking the back button and for some reason, it does not seem to call the record from SMOKNA1SHT properly.
Closing MSA and reopening fixes it.
I believe that we raised an OSS but it is so difficult to replicate, it makes it vitually impossible to troubleshoot.
We are actually going to be replacing SMOKNA1SHT with a view in January, so it will be interesting to see if that fixes the issue - if it is framework, then it should not.
As well as the reported message, we had another one in the background that was half in English, half in French saying something like "Transferring the objects from cMSAActivities in section _IAC failed. Details: Not possible to carry out a cast from an object of type 'MSA.SCalendarTS' to type 'MSA.SMSAACTactoverview'"
That may not be the exist message as my French is a little shaky

MSA - creating/changing activity for bp error : enter a valid value for bp

Hello experts,
while using msa with activites, on one client for one bp
I cannot create/change an activity: error:
insert a valid value for bp
This happens only for one bp on this client,
on other clients this bp works fine.
When I look in old activites for this bp, there in activity -> detail
the field bp (hyper link) is not filled.
I think there is a problem with the incorrect bp, but in which tables
can search for this ?

I assume that the BP is present in table smokna1 but not available in smokna1sht (anymore).
When creating an activity the BP selection is based on smokna1, but the field/property validation is based on smokna1sht (see error message).
But unfortunately I don't have any idea for now how to download this particular record to this site...

I'm trying to test passing in parameter values from the URL. I have RS 2008 . I created an ultrasimple report based on a stored procedure output. There is no validation, No available values, No default values.
I'm trying to run the report like this:
/Reports/Pages/Report.aspx?ItemPath=%2fProduction%2fDBA+Reports%2fTest&iTest=1
I get:
Parameter validation failed. It is not possible to provide valid values for all parameters. (rsParameterError)
the one int parameter is iTestId
The RS log file says the following:

From your description, you want to pass multiple parameters via URL, right? To pass multiple parameters through URL, we can use an ampersand (&) to separate them. For example, I have a report with two parameters p1 and p2. The report is deployed in a
folder on the Report Server. When I navigate to the report on the Report Server, I can see the report URL is http://localhost/ReportServer_SQL2008NEW/Pages/ReportViewer.aspx?%2fFolder%2fReport&rs:Command=Render.
If I need to pass parameters through URL, I can just add &p1=value1&p2=value2 at the end of the URL and the entire URL would be http://localhost/ReportServer_SQL2008NEW/Pages/ReportViewer.aspx?%2fFolder%2fReport&rs:Command=Render&p1=value1&p2=value2

Firefox is having a problem with Linkedin. I get the error, error in parsing value for "backgroun" and for "filter"

When trying to send messages in linkedin, firefox takes me back to the log in screen without sending the message. On the error console it shows the error; error in parsing value for "background" and error in parsing value for "filter". What is causing this?

Pages does not support the Apple font used for color emoji, so that behavior is normal.
With what app are you reading the yahoo mail? There is really no guarantee than any other email service will show the special Apple font involved.
You should have no problem putting emoji directly into Mail or Text edit via drag drop from the Character Viewer as shown below.
You should also be able to upload graphics here easily by clicking on the camera icon. My email is tom at bluesky dot org.

When i checked the parameter file i can see the value assigned to the $DBConnection_OLAP. The same tasks ran successfully when i ran the ETL process for Complete 11.5.10 for the first time. I did not change anything after that and also all these are came built-in with the installation of Oracle BI Applications.

Open Status Description, look for string -lpf, the file after it is the actual parameter file DAC send to INFA server. E.g
-lpf D:\DACTOPUS\Informatica\parameters\SDE_ORAR12_Adaptor.SDE_ORA_Product_Category_Temporary.txt
Open the parameter file, most likely the [session_name] does not match with SDE_ORA_Product_Category_Derive_Full or some parameters are missing.

Also check in query designer for its correctness.

I'm using Fedora 16. Everything is working perfect and Firefox was working perfect (version 9). But version 9.0.1 creates big problems for my intranet and webpages, including yours. The error console fills up with 100' of error messages like; 'Error in parsing value for '(background, display, moz-opacity, filter...)' . Declation dropped. Some tags (on my intranet) like fontsize are "bigger", it seems like Firefox skips my CSS settings, the same for some CSS page layouts. One page example is that one only dropbox fontsize is displayed correctly, the other 17 are not CSS formatted.
I have done all your posting regarding to solve problems, reading all posting but nothing helps.
Ny own research for the problem
Switch to the web browser Konqueror, everything about layouts and fonts displays properly (other things like '-moz-border-radius' is of course not working.
I also have a windows computer with Firefox 9.0.1. Everything is displayed properly with the same amount of error messages as in FF for Linux! The same goes for Internet Explorer 9 in windows (everything displays properly).
Confusing. Is it a Fedora problem or FF for Linux problem?

I found a solution to the problem. Uninstall Firefox and Firetray. Delete /.Mozilla folder. Reboot. Install Firefox. Now everything is displayed properly.

I have a lightswitch web-application in development, which I need to copy from one computer to the other. I have tried doing it both through Git and by simply copying the solution and opening the project on another machine. The project builds without errors,
but when I try to debug it, it opens a web-browser, loads to 100% and pops up an error - Load operation failed for query 'GetAuthenticationInfo'. The remote server returned an error: NotFound.
Now, I have tried repairing Visual Studio on my machine, reinstalling .NET framework and setting <basicAuthentication enabled="false" /> in web.config, yet it still does not run.
When using Fiddler, it shows an error while loading the application - "HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error" , which I honestly don't know what it means.
The application uses ComponentOne and Telerik modules, but they are both installed on both machines.
The application does run perfectly on the original machine, but it is not working on any other one.
Both machines are using Win 8.1 and Visual Studio 2013 Update 4.
I have tried to look this up online, but most people's problem are when they are deploying the app, not just debugging. I would be really happy for any help with this issue.

I have the same problem on one of my development machines. Whenever I create a new project, the System.IdentityModel.Tokens.Jwt nuget package is not referenced properly. The project compiles correctly but you are not able to debug as I get the same error
as you.
If you open up your references and there is an error next to any of your references make sure that you correct them. In the case of the jwt reference error, I have to remove the jwt reference and then add it back from the packages folder.
This may not be your problem but could point you in a direction?
